Are we "soldiers"?
I thought of soldiers fighting wars.
Are we in a war?
Yes, we are, if we belong to Jesus Christ. As soldiers of Jesus Christ we fight a war against the world, against the way of the world. Therefore when we are with people living in ways of this world, we may have to speak, showing the way of God. We cannot afford to go along with the world as if we approve the ways of the world.
Know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. James 4:4
A "friend" is one who shows support and approval. Are we going to be a friend of this world? If so, we are the enemy of God.
