I Peter 3 ... Reading through the Bible

1 Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; 2 While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear. 3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; 4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. 5 For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:6 Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord:whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.

7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:

9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing:but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:11 Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.

12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers:but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

13 And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?

14 But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye:and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; 15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts:and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:16 Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.

17 For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.

18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; 20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: 22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

Assignment from God

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

By leading of Holy Spirit, in 1979, I was pursuaded that I was to be in ministry full time.  I owned a business at that time.  I announced to my customers that I would be closing the business to "go into the ministry" and my shop would close at the end of that current month, July 31, 1979.

I never had a sale in the years I had the business.

I sent out a card to my customers telling them all merchandise would be less 10% and the shop would close at the end of the month.

All merchandise in shop sold in 3 days.  I was amazed.

I closed shop and stayed home at my apartment, reading Bible and doing what I saw to do from Bible.

I lived off the money from the sale of the merchandise.

I didn't try to get a job in a church.  I just waited for God to show me what HE wanted me to do.

During this waiting period a job opened at a college in Dallas, "Christ for the Nations."  But I didn't want to do that.  I was persuaded by Spirit of God not to try for that job of Dean of Women.

I just continued to stay home, not knowing where I would go.  I just waited.

January 1980, I was asleep in the night.  A very loud voice, like the voice of a trumpet, sounded 3 words in my ear.  "Hartford, Seattle, KWJS".

I jumped out of bed and quickly wrote "KWJS" on a notepad.  I thought these were likely call letters to either radio or TV.  The next day, I looked this up and found it to be a radio station.  I said to God, "Are YOU telling me to go on radio ... I wouldn't know how to do that ... I'm a writer, not a speaker."

A very gentle thought came into my mind as follows:  "Call the radio station manager."

I called that same morning and asked to speak to the station manager.

He came on phone immediately.

I told him I thought God might be telling me to go on radio.  I asked station manager:  "How would you do that?"

Manager told me to make an audition tape 29 1/2 minutes long and send it to him and if I fit their broadcasting they would offer me a contract.

I had a tape recorder so I recorded an audition tape that morning and sent it that afternoon by US mail to the station manager.

Within about 5 days, I was broadcasting exhortations on radio for the church.

A woman named Lilly McBride had been listening to radio KWJS during the noon hour.  Someone quit the 12 noon broadcast time.  Lilly began praying:  "God ... please put a faith teacher on radio at this noon time."

A few days later, someone began speaking.  Lilly cried out:  "A woman ... NO ... not a woman."  And Lilly got out of her chair to get to the radio to turn the radio off but before she could reach the radio she became interested in what this woman was saying and she kept listening.  She became a big follower for several years.

In approximately 2007, a delightful movie appeared, "Julie & Julia" ...   There was a point in the movie where Julie started something called "a blog"  whereby she sent daily messages on Internet.

I thought:  "I would really like to do that ... but I don't have anything to say."

End of March, 2012 ... God gave me a dream.  In this dream, a woman was singing.  She had a "little voice" but it was a "nice" little voice.  Then people began speaking and I saw this would be a way the church could communicate ... by doing a blog.  I called Pam Padgett, a member of our little church group, and I asked Pam if she could set up a blog for us.  Pam said she didn't know anything about blogs but she could probably find out about such.  (Pam was computer programmer at Fed Ex.) I asked Pam to find out about blogs and to try to set one up for the ministry.  Within 3 days, we were publishing exhortations on the blog:  Jesus Ministries Exhortations

The first day of the blog, we have 2 viewers from Germany.  We were so excited.  It had never occurred to any of us this blog was going to be published all over the world ... World Wide Web ... WWW ..

We have published over 5000 since then on the blog ... It is indeed "a nice little voice" ... It costs the ministry nothing ... We can publish daily ... We go all over the world!

Hebrews 10:26 ...  but exhorting one another:and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Mk. 16:15 ... 15 And HE said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

(Gospel means:  "God's story" ... At this point in time, God's story through me is:  Jesus is coming soon.  Be ready... and how the church is to get ready)

In November 2015,  I replaced my Kindle e-reader with a new Kindle.  The new table was much more advanced than my first generation Kindle.  I began to try to find out how to use this unit.  I bought several books from Amazon but they were all too advanced for me and I couldn't find out what to do.

I began asking Pam Padgett (retired computer programmer at Fed Ex) how to do various things on the Kindle.

6 or 7 emails piled up ... and that is when I realized we needed to write a basic instruction guide for people with limited experiences in computers.

Pam and I began writing a book ...

I was thinking about Amazon.  How do you publish a book on Amazon?  I typed that into the Internet search and immediately instruction came on screen telling how to do this!  I asked Pam to check this information for us.  It seemed legitimate to me for they were using Amazon logo.  We found we would be able to publish a book on Amazon without any cost to us!  I really couldn't believe we could do this!  But we could, and did.  Pam was putting the manuscript into the required format for publication.  I was bored, having completed the writing for the book.

I was just sitting doing nothing ... bored ... When the thought came to me that if we could write a Kindle book guide, we could perhaps write "ministry" books for the church.

I found we could publish, without any cost to us, ministry books, exhortations for the church, on Amazon and the market went all over the world on Amazon.

I asked God if I could do this?  I heard immediately by Holy Spirit reminding me of a scripture.

"I AM with thee whithersoever thou goest."   Joshua 1:9

So I went!  I began writing immediately with the book "Taking Thoughts Captive" ... published first in e-book ... then in paperback.

By the end of March, 2016, we had published 10 ministry books in the series, "Life in Christ".

Then by April we had begun the volumes, "Exhortations for the Church ".  (Within the first 5 months we distributed 1077 books world wide.)

I'm so grateful to get to be a part of exhorting the church this way.

And by the blog and these books, I have been given a vehicle to be able to do the following scriptures:

Heb. 3:13-14 ... But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

Heb. 10 ...  exhorting one another:and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Amos 9 ... Viewing the works of God through scripture

1 I saw the Lord standing upon the altar: and he said,

Smite the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake:
and cut them in the head, all of them;
and I will slay the last of them with the sword:
he that fleeth of them shall not flee away,
and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered.

2 Though they dig into hell, thence shall Mine hand take them;
though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down:

3 And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel,
I will search and take them out thence;
and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea,
thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them:

4 And though they go into captivity before their enemies,
thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them:
and I will set mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.

5 And the Lord God of hosts is he that toucheth the land, and it shall melt,
and all that dwell therein shall mourn:
and it shall rise up wholly like a flood;
and shall be drowned, as by the flood of Egypt.

6 It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven,
and hath founded his troop in the earth;
he that calleth for the waters of the sea,
and poureth them out upon the face of the earth:
The Lord is his name.

7 Are ye not as children of the Ethiopians unto Me, O children of Israel? saith the Lord.
Have not I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt?
and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir?

8 Behold, the eyes of the Lord God are upon the sinful kingdom,
and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth;
saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith the Lord.

9 For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations,
like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth.

10 All the sinners of My people shall die by the sword,
which say, The evil shall not overtake nor prevent us.

11 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen,
and close up the breaches thereof;
and I will raise up his ruins,
and I will build it as in the days of old:
12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen,
which are called by my name,
saith the Lord that doeth this.

13 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord,
that the plowman shall overtake the reaper,
and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed;
and the mountains shall drop sweet wine,
and all the hills shall melt.

14 And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel,
and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them;
and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof;
they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.
15 And I will plant them upon their land,
and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them,
saith the Lord thy God.

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Revelation 12:11

John the Baptist … Mt. 14 … At that time Herod the tetrarch heard of the fame of Jesus, 2 And said unto his servants, This is John the Baptist; he is risen from the dead; and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.

3 For Herod had laid hold on John, and bound him, and put him in prison for Herodias' sake, his brother Philip's wife. 4 For John said unto him, It is not lawful for thee to have her. 5 And when he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet.

6 But when Herod's birthday was kept, the daughter of Herodias danced before them, and pleased Herod. 7 Whereupon he promised with an oath to give her whatsoever she would ask.

8 And she, being before instructed of her mother, said, Give me here John Baptist's head in a charger.

9 And the king was sorry: nevertheless for the oath's sake, and them which sat with him at meat, he commanded it to be given her.

10 And he sent, and beheaded John in the prison.

11 And his head was brought in a charger, and given to the damsel: and she brought it to her mother.

12 And his disciples came, and took up the body, and buried it, and went and told Jesus.

Concerning overcoming … it is so important to know that it was God who “commanded” (told) you to do what you are doing.

God said to Joshua …Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Joshua 1:9

If you have evidence that it was God who told you what to do, you have a very strong anchor when the problems arise concerning that which you are doing.

I’ve had pastors and others tell me I cannot be an apostle. But, like Paul, “I know WHOM I believe.” I am totally unaffected. I just reflect on WHO told me that. And I continue to do what I see to do in each case, in each thing that arises before me. (If a tree produces apples, then it must be an apple tree. By their fruits you will know, if you really have a pure heart to know and belong to God.)

As for each of us in that which we are doing, we must be grounded in the following.

II Tim. 1 … 11 Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles. 12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know WHOM I have believed, and am persuaded that HE is able to keep that which I have committed unto HIM against that day.

In Paul’s day, there were people who did not believe Paul could be an apostle.

Paul was not like Peter and the other apostles. Paul never saw Jesus when HE walked on the earth.

And even when the apostles met to replace Judas, Paul wouldn’t have been selected as an apostle because Paul did not meet the requirements set up and announced by Peter.

Acts 1 … 15 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,) 16 Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.

17 For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry. 18 Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out. 19 And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.

20 For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take. 21 Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, 22 Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that HE was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of HIS resurrection.

23 And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.

24 And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen, 25 That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.

26 And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

At the time this happened, Paul was not even born again. Paul was out gathering up Christians to turn them over to the leaders of the Jews so they could be imprisoned and even killed.

SO WHERE DOES PAUL FIT AS AN APOSTLE?

We know Paul was an apostle. We know Paul had a special calling.

Some teach that Paul was the last apostle. And they teach there are no apostles today.

But this does not fit with Ephesians 4 … which says … After Jesus arose, after HE was crucified and resurrected and taken into heaven … 11 And HE (Jesus) gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Paul fits here … one of the apostles given to the church by Jesus after HE arose.

Paul is not the last apostle. Paul is the first of those NT apostles given by Jesus to the NT church.

But in Paul’s day, some did not believe he was an apostle. We know this by the scripture … Paul says … If I be not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am to you: for the seal of mine apostleship are ye in the Lord. (I Cor. 9:2)

WHAT DO NT APOSTLES DO IN THE CHURCH TODAY?

NT apostles have an anointing by God to deal with church doctrines.

Paul said: 28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which HE hath purchased with HIS own blood. 29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. 30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. Acts 20

Paul knew terrible things were coming inside the church groups. Men would take over and eliminate scripture and twist scripture to allow the people in the congregation to please themselves and to feel approved in doing contrary to scripture such as men marrying divorced women, which Jesus said would be adultery (Mt. 5:32) … and women leaving their husbands and marrying another which Paul said would be adultery. And Paul said it was a commandment of the Lord, that the woman not leave her husband but, and if, she did leave her husband let her remain unmarried or return to her husband. (I Cor. 7)

The time was coming, and now is, where churches have changed the Holy Scriptures from these commandments of the Lord for the NT church.

Mt. 5:32 … Jesus says … 32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

I Cor. 7 … Paul says to the NT church … 10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

We see how these scriptures have been twisted away today by most church groups and another doctrine has been set up in the churches today.

But NT apostles will not tolerate these changed doctrines. NT prophets will also fight strongly against these new doctrines of men in the churches.

So most churches teach there are no apostles or prophets today in the NT eliminating what was said in Eph. 4 that after Jesus arose HE gave apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers to the church… apostles are like judges in court of law, dealing with scriptures and doctrine by the Bible and the Holy Spirit, keeping such straight in the church … prophets are like policemen. Of course antichrist would want such removed for antichrist is “man of lawlessness” and only if these are removed can antichrist move about freely inside the churches.

This is exactly what we are seeing today … the falling away of II Thess. 2 was not people leaving church … The falling away are churches leaving the doctrines of the Bible and changing the scriptures to permit and even to approve sin in the congregation.

All this sets up the judgment and the return of Jesus.

II Thess. 2 … 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Antichrist, the man of sin, is a spirit of sin and lawlessness in man. Antichrist would sit in “the temple of God”, the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Antichrist (opposite to Christ) would enter into the hearts of man and take over in the church, promoting the will of man in the church.

The falling away would be churches falling away from scripture to set up another “gospel”, another way for the church, opposite to scripture … thus opposing all that is called God, or that is worshipped … antichrist would be “as God”, showing himself that he is God … doing his own preferences … in the church.

Paul said this would have to happen before the day of the Lord. II Thess. 2

We are seeing this in churches today.

II Thessalonians 2
Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

I Peter 2 ... Reading through the Bible

1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, 2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,

5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious:and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.

7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious:but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, 8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient:whereunto also they were appointed.

9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God:which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; 12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles:that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake:whether it be to the king, as supreme; 14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.

15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:16 As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.

17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

18 Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward. 19 For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.

20 For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.

21 For even hereunto were ye called:because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:

24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness:by whose stripes ye were healed.

25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

God puts us in the body of Christ to serve HIM as HE wills

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

I Cor. 12 ... 4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as HE will.

We are the body of Christ.  We have different functions.  God sets us in the body of Christ as HE wills to do what HE wills.

Romans 12 ... 4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. 6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; 7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering:or he that teacheth, on teaching; 8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation:he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

We don't all do the same things.  Some have a gift of "helps" and such assist others in the work to which they have been assigned.

I have a gift of "exhortation".  I speak to the church to build the church in the faith in God.  You see this in these writings I do.  I can only do this writings by faith in God, by faith that what the Holy Spirit calls to my mind is that which God wants me to speak.

I am very greatly assisted by Pam Padgett, who has a gift of helps.  Pam takes what I write and puts it into the proper, required form to be published in both e-book format and in paper format.  She has to do a lot of work before you get to read these exhortations.  Her work is critical to getting these exhortations published!  God set her to do the work she does for the church.  God set me here for the work I do for the church.  The gifts we and others do are from God and they are gifts for the church.

After Jesus arose, HE gave gifts to the New Testament Church to help the church.

Eph. 4 ...  7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. 8 Wherefore HE saith, When HE ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into HIM in all things, which is the head, even Christ:16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

The body of Christ works together much as God created the natural body to work together.  The eye has an assignment to the body.  The feet have another function to the body.  And so it is with the various gifts of the Holy Spirit and the ministry offices.

I Cor. 12 ...

27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. 28 And God hath set some in the church (to care for the church), first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

29 Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles? 30 Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

We have different assignments.  Apostles have an anointing by God to deal with doctrine in the church, uprooting perversions and setting the doctrine by the Spirit from the Bible.

Prophets carry messages of correction to individuals by the will of God, often operating in the spiritual gifts of "word of knowledge" and "word of wisdom" ...helping the church to get out of traps and to avoid traps.

There are several spiritual gifts given by God to help the body of Christ function as the NT church.

I Cor. 12:18 ...  But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased HIM.

The important thing for each of us is to be raised up by God to function in the area God chooses.  We get to that assignment by paying very close attentions to all words spoken to us by God whether in scripture or by dreams or by words brought to our mind by the Spirit of God.  As we walk in those specific instructions by faith in God, we enter into that place in the body of Christ assigned by God.

After I was born again in 1975, I heard, "Be baptized."  (I had been baptized before I was born again.  Now I hear again to be baptized after I am born again.)

I didn't hesitate.  I went that same day and was baptized again.

As the minister lowered me into the water, the Holy Spirit said to me, "This is like being buried with Christ."

As I came out of the water, the Holy Spirit said to me, "This is like being raised with Christ."

That is exactly what the apostle Paul said to us in Romans 6 ...

How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death:that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

After I was born again, I was asleep in the night and God transported me into heaven.  I was with God, with Christ, with the Holy Spirit.  (It was a spirit experience.  I saw no images.)  At that time I was "merged" into the body of Jesus, made one with the Word of God, God and Holy Spirit witnessing.

A few nights after this, the exact same thing happened again.

After these two experiences, I was on fire for the Bible, the church, and things of God.  Nothing else mattered to me.

I thought this happened to all who were Christian.  It doesn't.  It was by the will of God and I believed it was used by God for the purpose of preparing me for the ministry to which I was called.  At that time I had no thought whatsoever that I was to be a minister.  It was several years before I learned this.  I just kept reading Bible and trying to do what I saw to do from Bible.

During this time, in Bible, I read that women were to teach other women to love their husbands and to love their children.

I was devastated for I had no husband nor children.  There was nothing for me to do in the church!

Certainly God had other plans for me in the church.  God worked with me through the years, leading me by scripture and by HIS spirit ... and many people spoke prophecies over me ... I didn't know what they meant when they would say they "knew" the hand of God was upon me... I just kept reading Bible and following the instructions given me by the Spirit of God from the Bible.

This is the way we get to our specific assignments in the church ... Read Bible and follow the instructions in the Word of God as given by the Spirit of God ... and just keep on doing this ... as long as God chooses to leave us on this earth!

Amos 8 ... Viewing the works of God through scripture

1 Thus hath the Lord God shewed unto me: and behold a basket of summer fruit. 2 And he said, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit.

Then said the Lord unto me,
The end is come upon my people of Israel;
I will not again pass by them any more.

3 And the songs of the temple shall be howlings in that day, saith the Lord God:
there shall be many dead bodies in every place; they shall cast them forth with silence.

4 Hear this, O ye that swallow up the needy,
even to make the poor of the land to fail,
5 Saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn?

(lusting after their own works and hating that set forth by God and desiring that good come to an end so they can do their evils.)

and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat,

making the ephah small, and the shekel great,
and falsifying the balances by deceit?

6 That we may buy the poor for silver,
and the needy for a pair of shoes;
yea, and sell the refuse of the wheat?

7 The Lord hath sworn by the excellency of Jacob,
Surely I will never forget any of their works.

8 Shall not the land tremble for this,
and every one mourn that dwelleth therein?
and it shall rise up wholly as a flood;
and it shall be cast out and drowned, as by the flood of Egypt.

9 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord God,
that I will cause the sun to go down at noon,
and I will darken the earth in the clear day:

10 And I will turn your feasts into mourning,
and all your songs into lamentation;
and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins,
and baldness upon every head;
and I will make it as the mourning of an only son,
and the end thereof as a bitter day.

11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God,
that I will send a famine in the land,
not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water,
but of hearing the words of the Lord:

12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east,
they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it.

(The WORD was not considered precious in their eyes, above all else, when they had it.  They just wanted the WORD to end so they could get on with their own works, with their own lives and what they considered important.  Therefore they bring judgment upon themselves and will get that which they desire which is a life devoid of the Word of God ... a life of the people of this present world.)

13 In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst.

14 They that swear by the sin of Samaria,
and say, Thy god, O Dan, liveth;
and, The manner of Beersheba liveth;
even they shall fall, and never rise up again.

The Time Is Come That Judgment Must Begin At The House Of God

A little background … My parents did not attended any church. They did not speak of church. They did not speak against Bible. We had no Bibles except for a small white KJV which was “my” Bible. Years after I was born again, I learned this Bible was a birthday gift given to me from some distant cousins when I was 5 years old. I kept this Bible in my bedroom and I would get under the covers and turn on a flashlight and read the Bible even as an elementary school child.

My favorite aunt was Church of Christ. When we visited her, 250 miles away, I would attend church with her. I was probably 6 or 7 years old and we probably visited her 4 or 5 times a year. If we were there on a weekend, I would go with her to church.

Later, when I was 15, I went forward at Church of Christ and was baptized in water. But I was not born again so church and even Bible didn’t mean much to me.

Later, after I was out of college, my violin teacher was Sunday school teacher at First Christian Church. I went to her classes and joined that church. The man I dated was choir director there.

I moved to Dallas in 1960. My best friend later in Dallas was Methodist so I attended Methodist church. I was still not born again.

August 5, 1975, God spoke to me by HIS Spirit in the night and said, “Joan … you know all these mistakes you’ve been making all these years? Those weren’t mistakes. Those were sins.” I was so shocked. I thought they were mistakes. This changed me. Now I was born again, immediately, the night God spoke to me.

After I was born again in 1975, I went to church with my best friend and her husband. It was a small, non-denominational Bible church called Believers Chapel. The doctrine was somewhere between Baptist and Church of Christ. The teachers were professors from Dallas Theological Seminary. It was very intellectual.

After a year or so, I was reading Bible as I often did and I saw the following scripture spoken by the apostle Paul.

I Cor. 14:39 … Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.

The problem was this: At Believers Chapel the professors from Dallas Seminary were teaching that tongues were of the devil. They definitely would have forbidden tongues.

I didn’t care about tongues. I had never heard anyone speak in tongues. But I very much cared about the Bible and the scriptures, considering them to be HOLY.

After reading this scripture, I could no longer attend that church that was teaching something against the Bible.

I went with another friend and her husband to Beverly Hills Baptist Church, a charismatic, “spirit filled” church.

After a two or three months, this friend and her husband changed churches and I went with them to their new church, a small group that met in a warehouse in Farmers Branch, Texas, just north of the Dallas city limits. On the best day, about 200 people attended that church group. The name of the church was Word of Faith. The pastor was Robert Tilton.

He spoke a lot about prosperity. I didn’t care for that message. I occupied my time at the services copying down all scripture spoken by him and the other speakers. I would take those scriptures home and spend days between the services studying those scriptures.

Shortly after I was born again, I was asleep in the night and I was “transported” into heaven. I was with God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit. (No images, just in the spirit) At that time, I was “merged” into the body of Jesus, made one with the Word of God, God and the Holy Spirit witnessing. It was wonderful!

A few nights later, the exact same thing happened again. I was “transported” into heaven. I was with God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Again I was merged into the body of Jesus, made one with the Word of God, God and the Holy Spirit witnessing.

After this, I was on fire, caring only about Bible and church.

I didn’t mention this to anyone because I thought this happened to all Christians.

This happened shortly after I was born again in 1975. I was attending Believers Chapel at that time but I don’t recall anything being taught there except they were teaching against tongues which I had never experienced.

After leaving Believers Chapel, church people began to say to me that they knew “the hand of God” was on me strongly. I didn’t know what that meant. I had still not told anyone about being taken into heaven twice. I didn’t think about it. I just wanted as much Bible as I could get.

I owned a small business at the time. I had 3 very competent women working for me. I didn’t have to go into the shop except for doing appraisals of the Indian art objects, jewelry and pottery. I mostly stayed home at my apartment all day and read Bible. I attended church when they met. I also attended a prayer group that met in a home.

This was between 1975 and through 1979.

Many prophecies were spoken over me concerning a call of God on my life. I didn’t know what a call of God meant.

Finally, things of God got even stronger over me. God was teaching me Bible. God was revealing HIS Word to me. I would share it with church people and with our Bible teacher.

By about 1978, I came to be persuaded that I was called by God in two ministry offices.

Ephesians 4 … After Jesus arose … after the crucifixion and resurrection … Jesus gave “gifts” to the church …

11 And HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

At Word of Faith they professed to believe this scripture and said there were apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers in the church.

But no one knew who apostles were and no one knew what apostles did in the church. There was one woman there who identified herself as a prophet. And there are many things in both OT and NT telling about and demonstrating the work of prophets.

Several, including Bob Tilton, the pastor said I was a prophet and acknowledged that calling over me in front of the entire church group one Sunday morning.

No one knew of the other office. (I was taken into heaven twice and merged into the body of Jesus twice.) God spoke to me by HIS Spirit and said: “I have called you and have set you in the body of Christ as an apostle.” Apostle, I cried out. What’s an apostle.

I didn’t tell anyone at our church group about this but I did begin to ask our teacher what an apostle was in the church and what apostles did in the church and who were the apostles in our group. He didn’t know. God began teaching me about both offices, apostle & prophet.

To summarize what God taught me: apostles have a special anointing by God for the church concerning scripture and especially concerning church doctrine as applied to Bible… prophets often deliver correction to churches and to individuals to help them get free from traps and sins and to warn them so they are aware of pitfalls.

…apostles in the church are a bit like judges in a court of law. Apostles have “rule book” (Bible) and church doctrine and they “rule” on doctrine, especially exposing errors in doctrine exposed by Bible and Holy Spirit… prophets are like police in God’s church, stopping violators of Bible and trying to turn them back to God’s Word.

You eliminate apostles and prophets from the 5 ministry offices set up for the NT church and you set the stage in the churches for the man of lawlessness, antichrist, the spirit of lawlessness to move into the churches.

The falling away spoken of by the apostle Paul in II Thess. 2, is not people leaving the church groups. The lawlessness is churches falling away from the doctrines of the Bible and setting up doctrines opposite from Bible.

II Thess. 2 … Paul says … 1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Paul said this falling away would allow lawlessness in the church itself and the “man of sin” would sit in the “temple of God” opposing all that is called God, opposing the Bible itself. This was going to happen in “the temple of God”, the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. This would happen in the church person.

And Paul said this antichrist in the hearts of church people was already happening in his day.

Paul told the church the following:

Acts 20 … 25 And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.

26 Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men. 27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.

28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which HE hath purchased with HIS own blood.

29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. 30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

Back to II Thess. 2

5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Paul said this spirit of antichrist was already working in the church groups … but Paul said it would get worse and worse … Paul said “perilous” times would come … He was speaking of “in the churches” … Paul said there would be “a form of godliness” but they would deny the power there, the power of the Holy Scriptures … they would think nothing of changing scripture and adding poisonous things to the doctrine of the church … and Paul warned the individuals to hold fast to the Holy Scriptures “which are able to make thee wise unto salvation.” II Tim. 3

Paul says … II Tim. 3 …

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

A terrifying dream given to me by God in 1979 … A meeting was in progress. The room was filled with people. A man was at the front of the room speaking to the people. I went into the room and sat down and began listening to this man who was the speaker. A second man rushed in and said, “Stop … Wait … Can’t you see? … it’s too late … It’s already begun.” The first man resumed speaking. I looked out the windows to see what was happening. There was a yellow civil defense type warning speaker. Out of that speaker I could see a gas coming through the air toward us. It was terrible. I knew the gas was poison and it was going to kill us. The terrible thing was this: The poison gas that would kill us was coming from our own speakers which were set there to warn us. I looked at the man who was sitting next to me in the meeting. He was staring directly toward the speaker. There was a big smile on this man’s face. But this man was already dead. He was a corpse. I looked at the others who were sitting there. They, too, had big smiles but they were also already dead though they seemed attentive to the man who was speaking. And as I sat among them listening to the man who was speaking, I began to feel myself falling asleep and I knew I was also being killed by the gas coming from the speaker as I sat there listening to this man who was speaking.

At first I didn’t realize the meaning of this dream …

One Wednesday night, I was at church, Word of Faith, and I looked at the man sitting next to me. This man had a big smile on his face. He was very attentive, looking directly at the pastor who was speaking. But this man was the man who was a corpse in the poison gas dream. I looked at the other people in the room. They were as the dead people in my dream. I got up immediately and went to the rest room and was praying. I said to God, “I think you want me to leave this church group. I’m going to get in car and drive away. But if YOU want me to come back I will come back.”

God didn’t want me to come back. After that God began to show me doctrines that were in error at that group.

We were being taught all good is from God and all bad is from devil and that we had authority as believers to stop the bad works of devil.

God called my attention to the following scripture.

Mt. 27 … 50 Jesus, when HE had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. 51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; 52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, 53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. 54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

At this church, we were taught earthquakes were bad and were from devil. But this earthquake was not from devil. This earthquake was from God.

Also we have scriptures telling us hail and storms are from God. Hail seems bad for it often destroys property. But scriptures tell us hail is from God.

Psalm 148:8 … 8 Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling HIS word:

About that same time, a hurricane hit the gulf coast, destroying much property.

Why didn’t those men of faith take authority over that hurricane and stop it as they were teaching they could do as believers?

They didn’t because their doctrine was false.

And I saw the following scripture.

God says … Isaiah 45:7 … I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.

Another shocking thing … I saw the people who were standing on scripture were often acting to get what they want in this life out of lusts of their own flesh rather than hearing from the Spirit of God. And when their “standing” failed they were told they had weak faith when really what they were praying for was not the will of God for them.

I saw they were trying to be their own god by finding scripture to justify them in their desire.

I had been one of the rising stars in this movement in the early 80’s. I was on radio from coast to coast. I had published 2 books through Harrison House, the publisher of the faith movement. My books were big sellers in the Faith churches.

Now God was showing me the error in the doctrines being taught at my own church by our pastor and the guest speakers.

I began speaking of the errors on my radio broadcasts which were in cities from coast to coast in USA.

Hate mail poured in. Some radio stations put me off the air.

At a meeting in Seattle, the radio station manager was waiting for me outside the meeting room. George said to me, “Joan … you have many wonderful messages … Just speak those messages … don’t speak judgment messages … If you continue to speak these new messages, I don’t know what is going to happen to you … We might have to put you off the air …”

Out of my mouth came a word from the Holy Spirit defining what would be the way of God for the coming years ...

“If I don’t speak the message I believe to be from God, I don’t have a message and I may as well be off the air.”

After this, God gave me a dream …

In the dream, North Texas was playing Texas in football … (Texas is in a major football conference and NT is in a minor league in college football … a very shocking mismatch against Texas University.) North Texas was backed up to their own goal line. They had the ball. A very skillful running back was about to get the snap. It was obvious he was going to be crushed by the huge Texas defense. This running back had been on the Texas team but switched sides, now playing for the other team. As the ball was snapped, I heard the following words: “Don’t go until you see Exodus 15.”

I had my calendar for 1982 filled for the entire year with meetings in cities from coast to coast.

Immediately, I cancelled all meetings. I stayed at home in my apartment in Dallas.

One of my friends said to me, “Joan .. you must go out. If you go out and have the meetings people will give money. If you don’t go out, you will lose money.”

I replied: “God told me not to go out. I’m not going.”

That was summer of 1982. I didn’t go out again until March 2012.

In 2012, God gave me a dream … sending me out …

In that dream, A woman was singing to a group of people. I said, “She has a little voice … It is a little voice … But it is a nice little voice.” I saw immediately the blog. I knew this was a way for the church to function. And it turned out it functioned all over the world. All I had to do was stay at my home and write exhortations. It cost no money. We could send daily, unlimited exhortations. It was a little voice but it was indeed a nice little voice. Our small church group has been doing exhortations on the blog since March, 2012, daily exhortations. Jesus Ministries Exhortations

3 days after this dream, in 2012, we were publishing daily on the blog.

We were also very surprised the first day of publishing for we had 2 page views from Germany. It had never occurred to us these exhortations were going all over the world … World Wide Web

At the time of this book publishing, 2016, we have same opportunity with Amazon / Kindle Direct Publishing.

These books you are reading cost us nothing to publish. And the books on Amazon can be purchased throughout the world.

During the early 1980’s, the Holy Spirit began speaking one thing to me over and over …

The time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God …

The time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God …

The time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God …

I spoke that which was given me by God. There was a great deal of persecution from people in the churches.

God sustained me at every point.

I suffered more than I needed because I didn’t know I Peter 4 at that time …

Peter says … 12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: 13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when HIS glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ (The Word), happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you:

on their part HE (The Word) is evil spoken of, but on your part HE (The Word) is glorified.

15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.

16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

Revelation 11 … 7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.

11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.

12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither.

And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them. 13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

I Peter 1... Reading through the Bible

1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,

2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ:

Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.

12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:

15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; 16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:

25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever.

And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

God does what HE says

Isaiah 55 ... God says ...

8 For MY thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways MY ways, saith the Lord.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are MY ways higher than your ways,
and MY thoughts than your thoughts.

10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither,
but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 11 So shall MY word be that goeth forth out of MY mouth:
it shall not return unto ME void, but it shall accomplish that which I please,
and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

We will be with someone and will be reminded of the Word of God or a dream from God and we will share it with the other person.  Sometimes they receive the Word of God.  Sometimes God hardens the heart of the person and the person leaves us or strikes out at us.  But we who are of God speak the word only and God causes the reaction God wants.  The Word we speak accomplishes that which God wants, the will of God, what God pleases.   We can rest in that.

Isaiah 55 ...

12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace:

the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the Lord for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

More evidence that God does as HE wills ...

Romans 9 ... Paul says ...

6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children:but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. 8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God:but the children of the promise are counted for the seed. 9 For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sara shall have a son. 10 And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac; 11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;) 12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. 13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.

15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. 16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. 17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth. 18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.

God does as HE wills.

There is no reason I should have been born again.  It was simply the will of God.

I rejoice that is was God's will.

Humans need to understand that we are just humans.  Salvation is of God.  God chooses to reveal HIMSELF to those HE saves.  God simply opens our understanding and puts HIS Word into us.

This is the New Covenant ... the New Testament Church.

Hebrews 8 ... 10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts:and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord:for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. 12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

After we are born again, we cling to HIS word by faith, knowing that which God has said God will also perform.

Amos 7 ... Viewing the works of God through scripture

1 Thus hath the Lord God shewed unto me; and, behold, he formed grasshoppers in the beginning of the shooting up of the latter growth; and, lo, it was the latter growth after the king's mowings. 2 And it came to pass, that when they had made an end of eating the grass of the land, then I said,

O Lord God, forgive, I beseech thee:
by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.
3 The Lord repented for this:
It shall not be, saith the Lord.

4 Thus hath the Lord God shewed unto me: and, behold, the Lord God called to contend by fire, and it devoured the great deep, and did eat up a part.

5 Then said I,

O Lord God, cease, I beseech thee:
by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.
6 The Lord repented for this:
This also shall not be, saith the Lord God.

7 Thus he shewed me: and, behold, the Lord stood upon a wall made by a plumbline, with a plumbline in his hand. 8 And the Lord said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline.

Then said the Lord,

Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel:
I will not again pass by them any more:

9 And the high places of Isaac shall be desolate,
and the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste;
and I will rise against the house of Jeroboam with the sword.

10 Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, Amos hath conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Israel: the land is not able to bear all his words. 11 For thus Amos saith, Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of their own land.

12 Also Amaziah said unto Amos, O thou seer, go, flee thee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there: 13 But prophesy not again any more at Bethel: for it is the king's chapel, and it is the king's court.

14 Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah, I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet's son; but I was an herdman, and a gatherer of sycomore fruit: 15 And the Lord took me as I followed the flock, and the Lord said unto me, Go, prophesy unto my people Israel.

16 Now therefore hear thou the word of the Lord:

Thou sayest, Prophesy not against Israel,
and drop not thy word against the house of Isaac.

17 Therefore thus saith the Lord;
Thy wife shall be an harlot in the city,
and thy sons and thy daughters shall fall by the sword,
and thy land shall be divided by line;
and thou shalt die in a polluted land:
and Israel shall surely go into captivity forth of his land.

Comments by Joan Boney  ... apostle/prophet

Many years ago, God said to me by HIS Spirit ...

The time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God ...
The time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God ...
The time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God ...

After that, God began showing me various sins in the ministry, sins being committed by ministers.  I tried to get messages to these ministers but they surrounded themselves with bodyguards to keep us from speaking to them and they had people to sift through their mail and discard all messages which seemed "evil" to them, though I always said before the message that I am a prophet of God and this is a message from God to that minister, still they threw away the message and the message did not reach the minister.

At that time I was on radio in several cities from coast to coast in USA, so I spoke the message on radio, naming the minister by name.  I spoke the message at my own meeting in the home town of one of the ministers, naming him by name before his own followers.

After that, I was having a meeting in Seattle, Washington, where I was on radio.  Outside the door of the meeting room the manager of the radio station waited for me.  I stopped to speak with him.  He said to me:  "Joan ... you have many wonderful messages ... just speak them ... If you keep speaking these judgment messages I don't know what is going to happen to you.  We might have to put you off the air ...

Instantly, without having to think at all, the Holy Spirit spoke the following through me:

"If I don't speak the message I believe to be from God, then I don't have a message and I may as well be off the air."

I've often had church people say to me:  Don't speak in HIS name to us ...

I've had multiple pastors tell me:  Don't try to come to my church to speak ...

I know what it is to hear what Amos said:

Thou sayest, Prophesy not against Israel,
and drop not thy word against the house of Isaac.

But nothing will keep the word of God from happening against them when the refuse to hear and will not repent.  As Jerusalem fell and was burned and destroyed and the people of Judah and Israel carried into captivity, so will these people in churches and people who are ministers go into captivity when they pursue their own will and reject the word of God.

I've even seen individuals in our own church group go into captivity for their rejection and refusal to walk in good.

Overcoming for a Christian is Seeking God’s Will and Obeying God In All Things

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Revelation 21:8

We must continually fight fear and unbelief as long as we live on this present earth. We fight such, through prayer and by keeping that Word given us by God by HIS Spirit before our eyes day and night.

Psalm 1

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,

nor standeth in the way of sinners,

nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in HIS law doth he meditate day and night.

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season;

his leaf also shall not wither;

and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Joshua was told by God to meditate on God’s word day and night so he might be strong enough to do God’s word and then he would make his way prosperous and then he would have good success. Joshua 1:8

The same thing applies to each Christian today.

During one period of my life, I was so frightened that I took every scripture brought to my attention by the Holy Spirit and recorded each of these scriptures on a cassette tape on both sides of the tape, and played that tape every night when I went to bed. Each time I awoke in the night, I turned the tape over and started it playing again and would go to sleep with the tape playing these scripture.

This helped me fight the fear and helped me to believe the Word given me by God on the fearful subject at hand in my life at that time.

We do what we have to do to overcome.

There are times I have had to avoid persons who would steal faith from me.

Jesus once said:

Mt. 10 … 32 Whosoever therefore shall confess ME (The Word) before men, him will I confess also before MY Father which is in heaven.

33 But whosoever shall deny ME (deny the Word) before men, him will I also deny before MY Father which is in heaven.

34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

37 He that loveth father or mother more than ME is not worthy of ME: and he that loveth son or daughter more than ME is not worthy of ME.

38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after ME (the Word), is not worthy of ME.

39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for MY sake (for the sake of The Word) shall find it.

We might end up losing our life, our association, with certain people on this present earth.

I’ve often had people leave me and despise me because of the warnings I have given them from the Word of God.

I’ve had people leave me and despise me when they witnessed my way of life in Christ by the instruction of God by the Word, the Holy Scriptures.

Jesus warned:

Lk. 6 … 26 Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.

The apostle Paul said … Phil. 3:13 … Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended:

As long as he was alive on this earth, Paul had to contend for the Word of God … doing the Word of God in the issues pertaining to this present life.

We do not arrive to the point where we can stop contending for the life in Christ.

As long as God chooses to leave us on this earth, we contend for the Word of God.

I Cor. 9 … 24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. 25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. 26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: 27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
