One of the most godly women I have ever seen got cancer when she was 66-years-old.

How can this happen to such a woman?

I have no real answer.

I just know we hold onto God and the Bible regardless of the circumstances.

Is that thought from God?  or is it from devils?

Here is a simple guideline:  Does the thought bring love, joy peace?  or does the thought bring fear, doubt, torment?

Examples:

πŸ’₯  The thought came"You're 83 now.  What will you do if you get to where you can't walk?  You'll have to live somewhere else?  What will you do?  Where will you go?"

I cried out to God:  "God ... help me!"  

Immediately I heard:  "God will supply all your need."  (Phil. 4:19)

"Right!"  I agreed! And I rejoiced immediately in that word I heard from God.

πŸ’₯  As I considered putting new upholstery on the front seats of my 25 year old car, the thought came"Or you could just buy a new car."

I stopped in my tracks.  It struck me like a lightening bolt!  Never had I thought of buying a new car.

But I could buy a new car.  

I had just sold the house in Texas and the money was in the bank.  I could pay for a new car and have money left over. (If I would have to go into debt, I would not have done that.)  

And by this information from God telling me that I could buy a new car, I saw that I would not need that money in future, for I knew it was the voice of the Holy Spirit speaking that Word from God to me.  This gave me faith to take that action.

God even confirmed that information by giving me a dream that same night:  In the dream, I bought a new car.

πŸ’₯  A 70-year-old man walked into his back yard and noticed his storage building which was overflowing with stuff, and thought, "I need to build another storage building to hold some of my stuff."

The thought came:  "Why don't you just get rid of the stuff?"  (a better way to go)

Wisdom from God.

πŸ’₯  In 2018, I fell at my house in Texas.  The phone was about 6 feet away in the bedroom.  I lived alone and no one was scheduled to come to my house for at least a week.  I turned onto my side.  (terrible pain)  and I began to try to inch my way to the phone but the pain was overwhelming.  

As I was lying there motionless, the thought came"You can do this."  

I knew that was the Spirit of God speaking to me.  

I began moving toward the phone.  It took 4 1/2 hours to reach that area but I had heard from God and knew I could do that because God told me I could do that.

πŸ’₯  A high school girl was in a country grocery store and a young man came into the store.  The thought came"He's going to be your husband."

Is this thought from God?  Are both unmarried?  or will it take divorce for them to marry?

She was Baptist.  Does he believe in God?

Facts are needed.

This turned out to be a "word of knowledge" from God.  (I Cor. 12:8)

Wynette and Jerry were married for the next 60 years until Jerry died.

The Holy Spirit will not lead us into evil ... but the devil will.

John 10:10  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

If the thought would cause you to sin against God, it is not from God but is from devils and will destroy you if you go that way.

I Peter 5:8-9  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

πŸ’₯  A young married woman was attracted to a man at the place where she worked.  She did not walk away.  She began a "friendship" with this man, though she was married at the time.  She ended up divorcing her husband.  The devil is looking for people he can destroy.

πŸ’₯  A church woman began "entertaining" various fear-filled thoughts, after which she made the following statement:  "I no longer care about anyone or anything.  I no longer read the Bible or blog.  I no longer care about anything."

Had she agreed to listen to me, I could have proved that she had taken thoughts sent by devils into her heart and these things were not true for there is no truth in devils.  (I Jn. 8:44)

She had a little dog, and she greatly cared for that little dog.

But she fled me and would not hear anything from me.

Later she apologized.

Things such as this are the works of devils who want to destroy us.  It is easy to see the fruits that came from receiving these thoughts brought evil. 

We must do what Paul said and take every thought captive.

2 Corinthians 10:5  Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ (The Word);

The devil will destroy us if we allow him to do so and he does this by bringing his untrue thoughts to our mind.

James 4:7  Submit yourselves therefore to God (in prayer) . Resist the devil (with the Word of God), and he will flee from you.

God will judge them and us.  So be kind, remembering we were once as they are now.

πŸ’₯ The way God led HIS children in the Old Testament and the way we in New Testament are led by God today.

 
In the Old Testament God led HIS people by fire at night and by a cloud by day.

Numbers 9

15 And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, namely, the tent of the testimony: and at even there was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until the morning.

16 So it was alway: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.

17 And when the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, then after that the children of Israel journeyed: and in the place where the cloud abode, there the children of Israel pitched their tents.

18 At the commandment of the LORD the children of Israel journeyed, and at the commandment of the LORD they pitched: as long as the cloud abode upon the tabernacle they rested in their tents.

19 And when the cloud tarried long upon the tabernacle many days, then the children of Israel kept the charge of the LORD, and journeyed not.

20 And so it was, when the cloud was a few days upon the tabernacle; according to the commandment of the LORD they abode in their tents, and according to the commandment of the LORD they journeyed.

21 And so it was, when the cloud abode from even unto the morning, and that the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they journeyed: whether it was by day or by night that the cloud was taken up, they journeyed.

Today we have the Spirit of God living in us and HE brings thoughts to our mind to lead us.

Romans 8:14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Hebrews 1:1-2  God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,  Hath in these last days spoken unto us by HIS Son, whom HE hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

Jesus lives in us today by HIS Spirit who leads us and guides us.

We wait for HIM to show us when to go forth.  And when HE speaks to us we move by HIS being.

We wait patiently "resting in our tents."

An example of waiting:  There was a woman who came among our church group in 1980.  But something was wrong.  When she spoke I recognized something was wrong.  She once told me that it was because she couldn't have faith and she gave the following example to me.  Hebrews 3  But with whom was HE grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness? 18 And to whom sware HE that they should not enter into HIS rest, but to them that believed not? 19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

She seemed to think she had to do works to be saved.  But it is God who saves us by that which HE does.  When HE speaks to us, we have evidence of salvation.  The work was done by God.  We are HIS Workmanship.  God spoke to each of us and created us by that Word which HE spoke to us and changed us into HIS Children.

I think she finally saw this.

We read the Bible and do the scriptures which are the Word.  We focus on doing one scripture at a time.  And then we do another scripture when it is shown us.  Then another.  There are seasons where we live in that scripture and then the Holy Spirit causes another scripture to stand to us and we live in that scripture.

One step at a time ... One step at a time ... It is enough, says God.

To me, when there is a cloud over the issue, I have learned to do nothing.  But when the cloud clears and I see clearly, I act upon that which I see to do.

Until God opens my eyes to see, I stay still.

3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Often I can tell which spirit is of God by the "tone of voice" used.

God usually brings me information, options:  "Or you could do such and such."

Devils almost always bring fear and torment.  "What will happen to you if this happens? What will you do then?"

According to what it says in I John, 1-3, you can address the spirit directly if you choose to do so:  "Do you confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh?"

One time I heard, "You can't talk to a spirit."

And the Holy Spirit said:  "God is a spirit and you talk to HIM."

If we don't try the spirits that bring thoughts to our mind, we could end up like a leaf that blows in the wind.

Psalm 1

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in HIS law doth he meditate day and night.

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Can you tell the difference between the voice of God and the voice of devils?

Devils almost always bring fear, doubt, torment.

God brings love, joy, peace.

πŸ’₯ Salvation is through our believing what God has done.

A woman in our little church group was shown by God that she had no charity toward me when I was in the hospital for 2 1/2 months in Texas.  She agreed with this and apologized to me.  With that she was born again!

But things continued to go wrong with her.

What God showed me was this:  The key is what God did when HE showed her she had no charity.  She repented and apologized to me.  The focal point is in what God did.  God communicated with her to show her the truth, causing her to be born again.

But she continued in her old way of trying to do something, some "good work".  That was of her and not of God.

There is a very subtle difference between thinking of what God did ... and of thinking of what we have done as good works.

(In heaven God will judge our works whether they be "good" or "bad".  Trust in God's works for they are good.")

Salvation is of God.  Not of ourselves.

When God does a work to show us something, communicating with us, we are born again, created into the image of God.

God reveals sin to us to save us, then we know we belong to God.

Trust in God's works.

When I think of my own salvation ... God spoke to me and said:  "Joan, you know those mistakes you've been making all these years.  Those weren't mistakes.  Those were sins."

With that word I was born again.  God spoke to me and showed me my sins.  

Salvation is of God.  What God did!

Another example: 

Matthew 16:13

13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, HE asked HIS disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?

14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.

15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but MY Father which is in heaven.

18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build MY church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

(Peter was blessed because God gave him The Word on the matter, revealing truth to Peter.  The rock upon which the church is built is The Word which God brings down to us from heaven.)

John 14  (Jesus said)

But many in churches try to do their own idea of "good works" without actually having heard from God.

Matthew 7  (Jesus said)

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in THY name? and in THY name have cast out devils? and in THY name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from ME, ye that work iniquity.

(But one thing I know.  God spoke to me revealing to me my sin.  The work of God saved me.  And my works after that God will judge, whether they be good or bad.  But it was the fact that God spoke to me making me HIS child by HIS WORD which HE spoke to me, and that will stand.)

Salvation is of God and not of ourselves.

2 Corinthians 5

9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of HIM.

10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Especially during the end times, we need to be able to automatically recognize thoughts that are from God vs. thoughts that are from devils.

Thoughts that bring "love, joy, peace" are thoughts from the Spirit of God.

Thoughts that bring "fear, doubt, torment" are thoughts from devils.

Thoughts that bring "dread" show you that you likely need to change the plan.  Pray.

πŸ’₯ When you have a problem, cause your mind to focus continually on that which God has said.

 
Isaiah 26

3 THOU wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on THEE: because he trusteth in THEE.

4 Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

In the midst of a problem, the devil will bring thoughts to your mind of what might happen in future as a result of that problem.  

There is no truth in that which devils bring to our mind.  The devil is "a false prophet".

Jesus says:

John 8:44 ... He (devil) was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

I John 4:1  Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

The devil will try to tell you what will happen to you in the future ... but the devil is "a false prophet".

Here is what devil does:

A problem surfaces.  You turn to God with that problem and God helps you by giving you a word.  You rejoice in that word.  Devil waits a few days and when he can he brings thoughts opposite to what God has shown you to try to make you doubt and have fear again. Fear then blocks out the word God has given you,

Devil said to Eve:  

Genesis 3:1   "Hath God said?"

(Did God really say that to me?)

Doubt begins to pour into your mind.

To fight against doubt, we need to keep what God has said about the issue before us day and night until the problem is resolved for the devil will bring doubtful thoughts when he can do so.

But as long as we keep what God said in our mind, devil likely cannot sneek in his fears.

Be diligent to keep before you what God has said until the problem is fully resolved.

As soon as you walk away thinking it settled, devil will creep in with his ideas concerning the matter.

And remember devil is a liar and there is no truth in him.

A lot of trouble and doubt can come when devil brings his thoughts to our mind.

So keep what God has said before you for a season.

Paul was called "Saul" before his conversion and then his name was changed to Paul.

Here is the story as cited in Acts 9.

God sends a man named Ananias to restore Paul's sight.

Paul was of those called to the ministry by Jesus from heaven after the crucifixion and resurrection.

Ephesians 4

8 Wherefore HE (JESUS) saith, When HE ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

11 And HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into HIM in all things, which is the head, even Christ: 16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

The ministers of the New Testament church today are called, and taught by, and placed in the church today by Jesus as HE calls them from heaven.

The apostle Paul was one of the first of these New Testament apostles.

Paul never saw Jesus in the flesh.  Paul was persecuting the Christians and consenting to their death when the Jews killed them.

When Jesus spoke to Paul, then he was completely changed immediately, born again by the Word which was spoken to him.  It was instant. And that is the way it is with us.  God speaks to us and instantly we are changed into a new creature.

2 Corinthians 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Then after we are born again, we have a desire to study the Bible and to be with the children of God.

God gives us a new heart and a new Spirit at the time we are born again.

Ezekiel 36  (God says)

23 And I will sanctify MY great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.

24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

27 And I will put MY spirit within you, and cause you to walk in MY statutes, and ye shall keep MY judgments, and do them.

Pull yourself up by making yourself think of when you were first born again and how God spoke to you and chose you to be a child of God and gave you HIS Spirit to live in you.

Romans 8:14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

I Corinthians 3:16  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

Also think of the specific times God has given you a word or a concept or a scripture to show you the way to go in times of trouble ... and give thanks to God for these times HE has helped you and delivered you.

πŸ’₯ God's help in times of trouble.

I wanted to share some things I've been given during the past couple months while dealing with bladder cancer.
 
After the meeting with the cancer specialist in Denver on October 3 and learning that she recommended bladder removal, I asked God that, if possible, this "cup" be removed from me, that I not have to have my bladder removed. I really didn't know at that time if I would be spared this "cup".
 
Not long after this I had a dream  ... 
 
Dream - 10/15/2022 In this dream I was considering not having the surgery to remove my bladder.
 
Interestingly, this dream was given to me the day before I read a writing from the American Society of Clinical Oncology in which the following stood out so strongly to me ... An approach using chemotherapy with radiation therapy may provide the same benefits as bladder removal. 
 
It's as if the concept of not having the bladder removal surgery was being worked in me by God through this dream before seeing the statement about chemotherapy with radiation written by the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

Then on the night of November 12, 2022,  I had a dream in which I was talking with the radiologist doctor. There was a man sitting next to me as though he was there to support and help me. I was telling the doctor that the previous doctor who removed the bladder tumor last September told me that he had not been able to see the area where the kidney emptied into the bladder, and that no CT scans of that area had been done since the tumor had been removed. The doctor in the dream didn't say anything, but left the room. 
 
After I woke and was thinking about this dream and the man in the dream, I was reminded of some of the scriptures I've been given over the past 2-1/2 months in which God says that HE is with me and will help me.

Joan Boney had an open vision, approximately August 29,2022 ... she saw something on the wall, and then very quickly it was just gone. She thought this had to do with my bladder problem.

Here are other dreams from the past which might pertain to the war which I'm having with the bladder cancer.

πŸ’₯ Dream 3/19/2006  I was in a rather small army and we were about to be attacked by a much larger army. We were led to go into a room on an upper floor of a building. We knew the enemy would come there and that the battle would be in this room.  There was a table and chairs in the room. Although I thought about turning the table on its side to use as a type of shield, other people had already started doing that.

We didn't have weapons such as guns; we were given forks.

2 Corinthians 10:3-4  For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:  (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

There was a closet near the door through which the enemy would enter. I took a fork and went into the closet, leaving the door partially open.

Then the enemy started coming through the door. I reached out of the closet, grabbed an enemy soldier and stabbed the soldier several times with my fork. When that soldier fell, I reached and grabbed another. After having done this several times, the enemy saw what I was doing and 3 of them came to kill me. It looked totally hopeless for me.

But then, suddenly, the fighting stopped.

I asked others in the army I was in why the fighting stopped and was told it was because I was being attacked. There was a rule that if a soldier was already injured, they could not be attacked. At first I wondered how this pertained to me, but then saw a small cut on my left arm. I don't think I was even aware of this during the battle, and it certainly hadn't stopped me from killing several of the enemy. But, evidently, this was seen as a serious offense by those in power. So the fighting had been stopped and the enemy army was held responsible for this by those in authority.

Isaiah 54:17  No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of ME, saith the LORD.


I was concerned that I had stabbed each enemy soldier several times and wondered if this was going against the rules as well. However, I was told that this was okay since I stabbed the soldier multiple times in the same attack ... I hadn't set out to attack someone who was already wounded.

As we waited in the room, we received word that the enemy had admitted they were wrong. We thought the fighting would now resume. But as we waited in the room for the enemy to return, we noticed through a window that the enemy troops were marching out of the city. The battle was over.

I turned and told those in the room that this was God's doing (that we weren't destroyed by the enemy and that the battle was over) and others agreed.

Isaiah 55:8-9   For MY thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways MY ways, saith the Lord.  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are MY ways higher than your ways, and MY thoughts than your thoughts.


πŸ’₯ Another dream, 2/27/2020 ...  There had been an explosion. Somehow it was known that the person responsible for this explosion had set up another explosion for a specific day. We even knew the approximate time.

I started to leave the building where I was working on the sixth floor before the second explosion was to take place. But just a few steps down the stairs I remembered my purse and that all my identification was in it. I ran to where my purse was and got it.

Then I proceeded to leave, going down the stairs very quickly. I counted each floor as I descended down the stairs.

Some people were standing along the stairs, talking. I could tell by their talk that they knew the explosion was supposed to be coming, but they seemed to feel no sense of urgency. I didn't stop to try to persuade them to get out right away. Instead, I went around them and continued getting to the first floor so I could leave the building. I got out of the building and continued quickly on my way to leave the area.

At one point I was aware the explosion had happened. There was a wall of glass doors in the outside area where I was. I went through one of the doors to the other side, getting as far away from the destruction as I could. I kept walking as quickly as possible.


At one point I saw a woman walking around with a dazed look. She was carrying a recording device. I heard her say she was interviewing people who had been hurt or raped during this event.

I kept walking as quickly as possible toward the parking lot so I could leave.

When I woke from this dream, I heard “save yourself from this untoward generation”

Acts 2:40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying. Save yourselves froom this untoward generation.

(untoward: inappropriate, offensive, perverse, wilful, crooked)


In these dreams I was not destroyed although it looked like I easily could be. Also I didn't go in the ways of people of this world (weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God )

The various things I've been given cause me to believe I'm being led to pursue radiation rather than bladder removal.

Also, I wanted to share some of the scriptures I've been given by the Holy Spirit which have been comforting and helpful to me:

πŸ’₯ Romans 8:28   And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to HIS purpose.

πŸ’₯ Matthew 6:34  Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

πŸ’₯ James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Podcast: Ideas that come from God bring love, joy, peace ... but devils bring thoughts to steal that word that is from God

 

 
 
Spirits bring thoughts to our mind.  

The Holy Spirit is "The Helper" and HE speaks to us to give us ideas from God and to show us the way to go in the issues pertaining to this present world.  HE speaks by bringing gentle thoughts to our mind.

John 14:26  Jesus says:  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

(all things:  secular and spiritual)

John 16:13  Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear, that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.

Devils also bring thoughts to our mind to take us in a way opposite to that given us by the Spirit of God.  

Here is an example of the way devil works to cause us to go another way from the way of the Spirit.

Pam Padgett recently finished a kitchen project.

Here is her story of something that happened when the tile back splash was being laid.

Pam says:  While looking for backsplash tile and considering how to have it installed, I had prayed many times. Although the backsplash would primarily go between the countertop and the upper cabinets, my kitchen sink sits in a corner of the room with windows on each side of the corner with no upper cabinets.  
 
I had planned to have the tile go to the ceiling in that area and two other small areas similar to this, so there would be a nice smooth look on the walls, not looking chopped up.  

But when the tile started being installed, it looked much more 
"busy" than I had anticipated.  A thought came that it would be "too much" to have the tile go all the way to the ceiling.  So I told the tile installer to put the tile in the window area the same height as under the cabinets (about 18 inches).  
 
It never occurred to me that this was a devil bringing the thought about it being "too much" to put the tile to the ceiling, to turn me from the way I had seen to go when first considering the tile and praying about it.  (I didn't try the spirit bringing this fearful thought.)  
 
But I did pray to God, asking HIM to please turn this around if it would be better for me to have the tile go to the ceiling in those areas. 
 
After praying, I had Joan brought to my mind, but a thought came that I shouldn't trouble Joan with this matter.  And, again, I didn't think to try the spirit bringing this thought.  
 
A little later, Joan came to see the tile that had been installed.  After a few minutes she asked what was going to go above the tile in the area where there were no cabinets.  When I told her that nothing would go there, she said it looked unfinished to her and that she thought it would look "choppy".  
 
As soon as Joan said the word "choppy", I recognized that this was something that had been brought to my attention when making decisions about the backsplash.  Then I told the tile installer that I wanted the tile to go to the ceiling.  At that point, it was easy for him to make this change.  

Now its clear that devils were working, bringing fearful thoughts to turn me from the way God was leading me.   But instead of recognizing these fearful thoughts, I reacted out of panic.  
 
The tile has been put on the walls where there was no upper cabinets, and I really like the way it looks.  
 

 
 
And I am so thankful to God for turning me from my decision to not put tile to the ceiling and in time for the tile installer to be able to do this easily.

(As tile installer left, he said, " I'm really glad you put that tile all the way to the ceiling.)

This is an example of a devil bringing  "fear filled thoughts" to try to turn Pam from the better way for her on the project.

Jesus says:

John 10:10  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Even in secular ways, God leads us and the devil tries to turn us to another way.

The "WORD" comes and the devil tries to turn us from that "WORD" ... even in secular matters.

Mark 4:14-15  The sower soweth the word. 15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.

Fear and doubt are primary tools used by devils.

2 Timothy 1:7  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

When there is a "fear", look for some thought from a devil in the matter.

Concerning doubt:

James 1:17  Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Holy Spirit brings:  love, joy, peace 

Devils bring:  fear, doubt, torment (to try to get us to change from the direction of God)

Paul says:

2 Corinthians 10:5  Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

When an idea comes to our mind and then an idea opposite to the first idea comes, we turn to God in prayer allowing God to show us which idea is from HIM.

For devils work always in opposite direction to that WORD given us by the Holy Spirit of God.

Devils come to steal the Word or idea that is from God.
