πŸ’₯ God has given us a new heart and a new spirit that we can serve HIM as we wait on this earth.

2 Corinthians 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Before we were born again, we sought the things of the flesh.  We sought to exalt ourselves and to be praised by others on this earth.

After we were born again, we sought to exalt God and began to serve God, seeking HIS will on this earth, putting HIM above our own pleasures.

God gave us a new heart and a new spirit so we could obey HIM and serve HIM.

Ezekiel 36  (God says)

23 And I will sanctify MY great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.

(Now it is God who is sanctified in us as we show HIM in truth and in Spirit.)

24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

27 And I will put MY spirit within you, and cause you to walk in MY statutes, and ye shall keep MY judgments, and do them.

At the second we were born again by God, we died with Christ and were raised by God to serve HIM.

Daily we seek the will of God for our lives, as servants of God, asking God what HE would have us to do, seeking HIS will day by day.   (dead to self and alive to God)

Romans 12:1-2  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

We are dead to this world as we live in this world, serving God daily, alive in Christ, The Word.
