John 3 ... Reading through the Bible

1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.  

4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? 

5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.  8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. 

9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? 

10Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? 11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. 12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? 13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. 

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 

19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.  

21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
 

22 After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized. 23 And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized. 24 For John was not yet cast into prison. 

25Then there arose a question between some of John’s disciples and the Jews about purifying. 26 And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him. 27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.  28 Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him. 29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled. 

30 He must increase, but I must decrease. 

31He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all. 

32 And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.

33 He that hath received His testimony hath set to his seal that God is true. 

34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. 35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. 

36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

The word "pope" is not even in the Bible.  This is an abomination the way the catholic church is set up.

In Bible we are shown to pray directly to God through Jesus ... abomination to pray to a dead person... abomination to think that a dead person looks over us and protects us ... dead people are asleep according to Bible ... they cannot see us. 

All this is to keep God away from us ... God watches over us day and night ...

So many abomination opposite to Bible set up in catholic church ...

But if anyone really cares about God that person will prove all things by Bible which is word of God on the matter.

In Bible, ministers had right to marry if they chose to so.

Many evil doctrines are set up by men and unless you know Bible you will be deceived by them ...

Also you will be accountable ... you can't just choose to ignore things as you say you are going to do.

That won't work ... When they crucified Jesus that is what Pontius Pilot tried to do, wash his hands of the matter.  But he turned Jesus over to be crucified.  So he was judged even though he tried not to be.

You are either on side of Bible or against Bible.  And if you are against Bible by ignorance that too is your fault for you could find out the truth if you cared to do so.

2 Dreams

Two recent dreams ...

Dream #1 ... A band was getting ready to perform at a radio station.  The station had only given the band a few minutes of air time to perform.  I told the station manager they needed to increase the air time for this was a major band.

The band arrived and the director started the band playing and there was no sound from them.  I took the podium and tried and their was no sound from the band.  The band couldn't play.

Dream #2 ... There were people in my room and I was trying to get to the shower to take a shower and get dressed.  But there were people keeping me from doing this.  One man who was about 6 ft 2 inches in real life was now about 5 ft 5 inches.  What happen to him, I wondered.  It was like he was shrinking away.  They were focused on straightening up the room but they were keeping me from the shower and this man was visibly deteriorating though the room itself did look better.

I think these dreams show the following:

- They are not ready.
- They are focusing on wrong thing, fleshly things.
- They are keeping me from getting ready.

I think this has to do with church people.

The angels will sort it out ...

Mt. 13 ...  24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. 26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. 27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? 28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? 29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest:and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them:but gather the wheat into my barn.


... 36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house:and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. 37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; 38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; 39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. 40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. 

41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire:there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 



...  47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:48 Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. 49 So shall it be at the end of the world:the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, 50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire:there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

John 10:27 & John 8:31-32

John 10 ...  27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:


John 8 ...31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Tempting God

Years ago, a Baptist woman would leave her purse in her unlocked car and tell people, "The Lord will take care of it."  One day, someone stole her purse.

I heard, "She was tempting God."

Some people tempt God by ignoring scripture and the instructions given them.  This is tempting God.

Jesus spoke of tempting God in the following scripture.

Mt. 4 ... 5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, 6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down:for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee:and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. 7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

Some people tempt God when they say, "Oh, God would never let anything happen to me", and they fail to humble themselves before God and pray.

Deuteronomy 15... 1 At the end of every seven years thou shalt make a release. 2 And this is the manner of the release:Every creditor that lendeth ought unto his neighbour shall release it; he shall not exact it of his neighbour, or of his brother; because it is called the Lord 's release. 3 Of a foreigner thou mayest exact it again:but that which is thine with thy brother thine hand shall release; 4 Save when there shall be no poor among you; 

for the Lord shall greatly bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it:5 Only if thou carefully hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all these commandments which I command thee this day. 

6 For the Lord thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee:and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.

(It is a shame for the non-church to reign over the church.)

7 If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother:8 But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he wanteth. 

9 Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou givest him nought; and he cry unto the Lord against thee, and it be sin unto thee. 

10 Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him:because that for this thing the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto. 11 For the poor shall never cease out of the land:therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.


(One time, during Christmas season, a deacon from Baptist church said to me, "Joan, do you know any needy people.  Our church has taken offerings for needy at Christmas and we are trying to find needy."


I replied, "If I knew a needy person, he wouldn't be needy."  

But if I knew able body person who needed food or clothing, I would not give him such.  I would not give such to person who was able to work for the apostle Paul told us the following: 2 Thessalonians 3:10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. )

Deuteronomy 16 ... 18 Judges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy gates, which the Lord thy God giveth thee, throughout thy tribes:and they shall judge the people with just judgment. 19 Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift:for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous. 20 That which is altogether just shalt thou follow, that thou mayest live, and inherit the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
 

... 22 Neither shalt thou set thee up any image; which the Lord thy God hateth.

(I hate those images also, especially religious images.  Some man dressed in clothing representing Bible days, is portrayed as a long haired Jesus.  This photo is widely seen, and I've even seen it on the wall inside the meeting room of an Assembly of God church.  I told pastor this should be removed.  It is abomination.  Concrete images of human figures with wings are often placed in yards of homes in our city.  These images represent angels.  This is abomination.  In the Bible, such as in Genesis 19, we see angels do not have wings.  God hates such images and I hate such images.

Deuteronomy 17  ...   6 At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy of death be put to death; but at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death. 7 The hands of the witnesses shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterward the hands of all the people. So thou shalt put the evil away from among you.


(No anonymous phone calls or letters ... )


8 If there arise a matter too hard for thee in judgment, between blood and blood, between plea and plea, and between stroke and stroke, being matters of controversy within thy gates:then shalt thou arise, and get thee up into the place which the Lord thy God shall choose; 9 And thou shalt come unto the priests the Levites, and unto the judge that shall be in those days, and enquire; and they shall shew thee the sentence of judgment:10 And thou shalt do according to the sentence, which they of that place which the Lord shall choose shall shew thee; and thou shalt observe to do according to all that they inform thee:11 According to the sentence of the law which they shall teach thee, and according to the judgment which they shall tell thee, thou shalt do:thou shalt not decline from the sentence which they shall shew thee, to the right hand, nor to the left. 12 And the man that will do presumptuously, and will not hearken unto the priest that standeth to minister there before the Lord thy God, or unto the judge, even that man shall die:and thou shalt put away the evil from Israel. 

(In NT church today, we have come very far from righteous judgment of the New Testament Bible ... considering that the apostle Paul commanded the following concerning evil-doers in the congregation.

I Cor. 5 ...1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife. 2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you. 3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed, 4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, 5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
 

6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? 7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
 

9 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. 11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
 

12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? (We do not judge the world but we are supposed to judge the church in these matters.) 13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

Paul did not say to counsel the evil doer in the congregation, nor to teach him.  If he is the church, calling himself a brother in Christ, he knows better.  Paul said, rightly, to put such a one out of the congregation ... and even to turn such over to Satan for the destruction of his flesh that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord.

Deuteronomy 17 ...13 And all the people shall hear, and fear, and do no more presumptuously.
 

14 When thou art come unto the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, and shalt possess it, and shalt dwell therein, and shalt say, I will set a king over me, like as all the nations that are about me; 15 Thou shalt in any wise set him king over thee, whom the Lord thy God shall choose:one from among thy brethren shalt thou set king over thee:thou mayest not set a stranger over thee, which is not thy brother. 

16 But he shall not multiply horses to himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt, to the end that he should multiply horses:forasmuch as the Lord hath said unto you, Ye shall henceforth return no more that way. 17 Neither shall he multiply wives to himself, that his heart turn not away:neither shall he greatly multiply to himself silver and gold. 

18 And it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a copy of this law in a book out of that which is before the priests the Levites:19 And it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life:that he may learn to fear the Lord his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them:

20 That his heart be not lifted up above his brethren, and that he turn not aside from the commandment, to the right hand, or to the left:to the end that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he, and his children, in the midst of Israel.

We in the NT church today obey the laws of the land in-so-much as we can obey them without denying God.  We live in peace in the land when possible today.  We do not riot nor stir up the people to rebellion for we remember, like Jesus, our kingdom is not of this world. (Jn. 18)  We wait for the new heaven and new earth "wherein dwelleth righteousness" (II Peter 3) We set our affection on things above, not on things on this earth. ( Col. 3)

Not all today can live openly in their nation of men.  But this does not mean you riot either.  Such will be great testing for you.  The only way you can be personally victorious in such is to turn to God and clearly hear what HE wants you to do.  But God's way will not be to take over the government of men.  You might find you have to flee that country if possible.  Regardless you must be able to hear God.

What happens to us when we die?

In the early 1980's, my favorite aunt broke her hip.  I called her hospital room and spoke with her.   

She asked:  What do you think should happen to someone like me?  I replied:  "I think you should receive mercy."

Then she asked:  What do you think happens to us when we die?  I replied:  Death is simply a falling asleep.  She replied:  That's what I thought.

Jesus explained death to his disciples:

Jn. 11 ... These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep. 12Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well. 13Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep. 14Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead. 

Being dead is like being asleep.  When you are asleep you are not watching over your children.  When you are dead you are not watching over your children or over anyone else.

When you are asleep, you don't know where the times goes.  You fall asleep.  You awaken and often several hours have passed.  You were unaware of the time while you slept.  This is the way death will be. There will be a vacuum of time between being dead and then being raised from the dead.

When we die, we fall asleep.  When we awaken, if we belong to God, it will happen when Jesus returns to gather His elect as described in the following scripture.

I Thess. 4 ... But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (concerning those that die), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 

14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 

15For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent (precede) them which are asleep.  16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  

17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18Wherefore comfort one another with these words. 

Not all will die.  Some will be alive at the time Jesus returns.  Those people will never see death.  They will simply be changed.  These present bodies will not go up into the air to meet Jesus.  Those alive will be changed in the blink of an eye into another form which is an incorruptible body.  They will no longer have these bodies of flesh.

I Cor. 15 ... Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep (die), but we shall all be changed,  
52In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.  

If you are thinking some dead relative is watching over you, you need to correct your thinking by the Bible. If we belong to God, it is God who watches over us.  To think a dead human is watching over us is to make that human into God and this is a very wrong thing to do and must be corrected.

John 2 ... Reading through the Bible

1 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: 2 And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. 3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. 4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. 5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it. 

6 And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece. 7 Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. 8 And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it. 9 When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom, 10 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now. 

11 This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him. 12 After this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples: and they continued there not many days. 

13 And the Jews’ passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem, 14 And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting: 15 And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew the tables; 16 And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father’s house an house of merchandise. 17 And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up. 

18 Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things? 19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. 20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? 21 But he spake of the temple of his body. 22 When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.
 

23 Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did. 24 But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men, 25 And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.

Yesterday we published Deuteronomy 12 ...  2 Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree:3 And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place.

This really stirred me up!

Then we printed:  Homosexuals:  What the Bible teaches  

When I reread this yesterday, I remembered something I heard pope say on a national TV program and I thought of a Catholic woman ... and I wrote the following to her.

Recently I heard the pope say on TV that he didn't know of any reason against the practice of homosexuals.

Obviously the pope doesn't read the Bible or go by the Bible.

Then I printed the writing from yesterday:  "Homosexuals:  What the Bible teaches"

After printed this, I said the following to this Catholic woman.

Betsy:  The the truth is in Bible.  Unless you read Bible and care, man can tell you all manner of things which are not true.

For several days, I've had this Catholic woman on my mind.  I wanted to send her some truth.  I thought about speaking to her about the graven images in Catholic church building.  I thought about telling her how there is nothing in Bible telling us to light candles at church for any reason.  I thought about telling her we are supposed to pray directly to God instead of to dead people such as Mary.

Today I knew:  Tell her what pope said about Homosexuals and tell her what Bible says.

She has definitely been on my heart and in my mind for several days.

I will die knowing I told her these truths.

The word of God is able to save your souls, says James.  If we can receive the Word with meekness.  (James 1)

All her life, my mother read horoscopes.  She would buy the monthly horoscope book when we went to town and read my daily horoscope to me.

After I was born again, I took Bible and read aloud the following scripture to my mother.

Deuteronomy 18 ... 9 When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. 10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, 11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. 12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord:and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee. 13 Thou shalt be perfect with the Lord thy God. 14 For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners:but as for thee, the Lord thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.

After I read this, my mother said:  "Then I guess we'd better not do that any more."

(I believe my mother was born again at that time.)

Letter to woman in our little church group

Yesterday I sent the following email to a woman in our little church group.  This woman has a problem of "bearing false witness" ... she twists the truth ... when there is no reason to twist the truth.

I know it must have sounded like I wanted to separate from you forever but that is not the case.

I just can't be around you the way things are right now.

First, I can't be in position of having to do all this spiritual correction.  You should be taking care of that with God.

Second, there seems to be some desire in you to be needed.  That is reason I said it is like you want a husband who can tell you what to do and who you can wait on ... going to grocery, fixing meals, washing dishes, cleaning house ... but that would be adultery and husbands didn't work for you before when you had them but you seem to want to wait on someone.

I don't need to be waited on ... nor want to be waited on.  Today I can walk, I'm glad to say.

You wanted to help when there was no help needed.  This is something fleshly.  I don't know what the problem is but it crushes the other person to death.  Again, it is God who knows the answers for you.  HIS help is perfect.  HE knows what is wrong and how to fix it for each of us when there is something out of control in our lives.  And each of us have things out of control where we have to be tuned up by God.

First, I think you must get this bearing false witness stopped.  I don't know how you can stop this but surely God does.  You have a pattern of lying without reason to lie.  (as per the answer to my question:  Did you buy a chicken for yourself?)  God knows what it going on with you in this problem. Again this shows how it is far better for you to desire God's help than to desire my help. 

You must also put your trust in God to correct you, to lead you, to guide you.  It is like you want to put your trust in me.

When you are forced to do so, you can turn to God.  But you'd rather turn to me so the minute I'm in the picture you seem to turn from God and lay everything on me.  So that immediately causes me to be removed from the picture.

You will never be able to have a real relationship with anyone unless you first have that sound relationship with God and let HIM be your real desire.

So far as I am concerned, let's just put everything on hold and let you focus on working things out with God.

But this time, I hope you can really get it.

My Kingdom is not of this world, says Jesus

Jesus said ...  My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight,  Jn. 18

Some people say they are trying to make the world a better place.  This is opposite to what we read in Bible.

Paul says ... evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.  
II Tim. 3 

John said ... And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.  I Jn. 5:19

This present world shall be destroyed and all the works will be dissolved in the fire.  That is the ordained end for this present world.

II Peter 3 ...The day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
 

11Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?  

13Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. 14Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.  

Col. 3:2 ...Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.  

The main goal for each of us should be to take care for ourselves that we are doing things as God wills while we live on this present earth.  If we do that, everything else will fall into place around us.

Romans 12 ... I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

We renew our mind to the will and way of God through prayer and Bible reading.

The world would have us be created in it's image, in what seems right to humans.  But our goal is to continually recreate our minds as to what is right in the sight of God concerning the matter at hand.

Some truths we already know because we know the Holy Scriptures.  The world will not be better but worse. (II Tim. 3:13)  The heavens and earth and all the works of man will be destroyed by God.  (II Peter 2)   That which remains forever is the Word of God. (I Peter 1:25)

Those who were of God did following ...
 
Heb. 11...and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.  14For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. 15And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. 16But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

Some people who call themselves Christian enter into protesting against various things of this present world.


They often call it "peaceful" protest.  But protest is to strive against and to strive for.  Regardless there is strife involved in protesting.

The Bible teaches the following concerning strife:

James 3 ...Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. 14But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. 15This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.  16For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

Outside my house there is a street which really needs a new surface.  At one time, I would have contacted city to ask that this street be repaved.  But because of the understanding of my kingdom not being of this world, I have refrained from calling city.  This is not my kingdom.
 
There are some people who say they will die for their country.  Is this our country?  Like Jesus, my kingdom is not of this world.  While I remain on this earth it is my goal to live in peace and to correct my way by the scriptures which keeps me living in peace and to wait for the coming of Jesus when we, who belong to Him will be removed to a new heaven and new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.  II Peter 3

Concerning those who do "peaceful" protests, I think of the following concerning Jesus ... Mt. 12:19 ... He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets.

But perhaps this is because Jesus' kingdom was not of this world.

Like Jesus, neither is our kingdom of this world.  But we look for a new heaven and a new earth wherein dwells righteousness.  (II Peter 3)   

This present earth will never be filled with righteousness.  This is just temporary for us.  And while we remain here we seek to follow God by HIS Spirit daily, to live in peace, without spot and blameless ... just passing through!

Col. 3 ... If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.  3For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.



Man will not destroy this world:  God will

There is no reason to fret over nuclear weapons as the people of this world fret.  Man will not destroy this world.  God will destroy this world.  The sun will go dark and not shine.  The moon will cease it's work. The stars will move out of place and fall from the sky.  No man can cause this to happen.  Only God can cause this to happen.  This is what the Bible teaches.  

II Peter 3 ... But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.  

No man can cause the heavens to pass away.  Only God can do that and God will do that at the end.

Mt. 24 ... Jesus says ... Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. 

No man can do this.  Only God can do this.


Right now, God is keeping the solar system in place.  Heb. 11 ... For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:  6Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 7But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

After the flood, God promised HE would never again destroy the earth by water.  The rainbow was put in the sky by God as a covenant, as a promise this would never happen again.

Gen. 9 ... And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying, 9And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you; 10And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth. 11And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
12And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: 13I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. 14And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: 15And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. 16And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.  


But God will shake both heaven and earth and the earth will be destroyed by God in HIS time, but not by water.  The earth will be destroyed by fire, but not by fire made by man.  (II Peter 3)


Heb. 12 ... See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: 26Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. 27And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.  28Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:  29For our God is a consuming fire.  

Many years ago, I had a dream where the earth slipped on it's axis.  Before the earth is totally destroyed by God, I believe this is what will happen.  Humans will be terrified when this happens.  The earth will be slightly moved in the solar system causing great problems.

When the earth is moved this way, before it is completely destroyed, many things will change for man.

Jesus explained ... Lk. 21 ... And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; 

26Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. 

27And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28And when these things begin to come to pass (the signs in the sky and the earth moving), then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.


The prophets of Old Testament told of a time coming when money would be of no use to man ...

Eze. 7:19 ... They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.

Isaiah 2 ... And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.  20In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats;   21To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth. 22Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?

John 1 ... Reading through the Bible

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 

2 The same was in the beginning with God. 

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 

4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.  

5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.  

6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 

9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 

10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.  12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:  13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
 

15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. 16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. 

18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
 

19 And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou? 20 And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed,  I am not the Christ. 

21 And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.  

22 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself? 23 He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias. 

24 And they which were sent were of the Pharisees. 25 And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet? 

26 John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not; 27 He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe’s latchet I am not worthy to unloose. 28 These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.
 

29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.  30 This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me. 31 And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water. 

32 And John bare record, saying,  I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him. 33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. 34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God. 

35 Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples; 36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God! 

37 And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. 

38 Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?  39 He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.  

40 One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. 41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.  42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.
 

43The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me. 

44 Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. 45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. 46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see. 47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile! 48 Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee. 49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel. 

50 Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these. 51 And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

Doctrine of "Once Saved/ Always Saved"

For many years, I've heard people speak of "once saved/always saved" and I've never known exactly what to think until this week!  Yesterday God revealed the truth to me.

I was getting ready to print John 10:27-30 ... and God opened my eyes!

27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

Of course the sheep will never perish if they hear the voice of Jesus and follow HIM.

But if they turn from HIS instruction and do not follow HIM, they can perish unless they repent.

Romans 11 ... 16 For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy:and if the root be holy, so are the branches. 17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree; 18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in. 20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:


21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. 

22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God:on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness:otherwise thou also shalt be cut off

23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in:for God is able to graff them in again.

Paul knew he could be a cast away.  As he explains in the following scripture.


I Cor. 9 ... 24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. 

25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. 

Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. 

26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection:lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

It is so important to run the race to win the race. 

Therefore we train ourselves by focusing on scriptures given to us by the Holy Spirit.  We look strongly into these scriptures, praying for God to help us to see what we need to see from HIS Word.  We focus on that brought to our mind by the Holy Spirit, keeping those concepts before us until we are strong enough in HIM to do the word spoken to us.  Then we do the instruction given in the scripture which is brought to our attention by the Holy Spirit.  

 James says that word is able to save our souls... if we are meek enough to face that word and correct ourselves by that word.

James 1 ... 18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
 

19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
 

21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
 

22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 

25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Jn. 8 ...  31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Continue  means:  go on to a specified course of action ... to do something and keep on doing it ...

Jesus says to the churches:

Revelation 2 ...   5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. 

Revelation 3 ...  5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

If you are "HIS" sheep, you hear HIS voice and you follow HIS voice doing what HE says.


Certainly you will never perish doing that.

But if you hear HIS voice and choose to ignore HIS voice and you go another way, then you need to consider that God could turn you over to a reprobate mind, a mind without the judgment of God.

Romans 1 ... 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ:for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith:as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.


... 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.


II Corinthians 13 ...5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

We must hear the Word from the Spirit of God and do that word and continue in that word, doing that word, laying up for ourselves treasure in heaven and making our way secure on this present earth by faith and by HIS word and by our faith in HIS word.

And we continue to overcome everything of this life and this world by turning to God continually and clinging to HIS word through all things until the end of this world or until the end of our life on this earth.


And we have a fear of God, knowing that what God tells us is right and pure and being afraid to go against what God says, knowing it will not be well for us if we cast aside the Word given us by God and go another way.

A fear of God is critical for us.

If we fear God we will keep HIS word to the end.




Twisting the truth

We have a woman in our little church group who twists the truth.

She brought me a chicken from the grocery broiler.  She put it into my refrigerator.  I asked her, "Did you buy you a chicken also?"  She paused and then said, "Yes."  I was glad.

Later I went to get the chicken out of refrigerator and when I opened it is saw the truth.  The dark pieces were gone and the white meat from the chicken were in the package for me.

The truth:  This woman bought one chicken and she ate the dark meat and brought me the white meat.  But the way she told the story implied that she bought two chickens, one for her and one for me.

This is bearing false witness. 

Another example from this same woman:  She told me she hadn't read the OT until we began printing these chapters on blog.  I reported this.  Then later she told me she had read OT before but she hadn't thought of how it fit into NT until we began printing OT on blog.


Another example:  A woman told her she was going to let her hair grow because it was easier to take care of.  This woman replied:  "That is the reason I let my hair grow."  But this was a lie.  She let her hair grow because of I Cor. 11 which tells us hair is a covering for a woman and it is a shame for a woman to have a shorn head.  When I pointed this out to both women, the woman in our church group who had lied said it was true what I said.

Lk 18 ... Jesus said ...20 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother. 

Yesterday I was reading this scripture on blog and I saw it immediately.  What this woman in our church group keeps doing is bearing false witness. 

I sent her an email immediately telling her this.


Hearing the word of God but failing to do it

The apostle James warns us about hearing the word of God but failing to do the word of God.

James 1 ... 19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
 

21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
 

22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 

23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 

25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

A woman in our little church group let bitterness grow in her heart against me.


God made a way of escape for her in giving her the following scripture.

Proverbs 24: 15 ...  Lay not wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous;
spoil not his resting place:


This woman heard the word of instruction, but she did not do the word of instruction.  She was hung up on the first part of this scripture which identified her as being "wicked".  She really did not look closely at the instruction which was showing her that to store up bitterness in her heart against me was wicked.  Had she looked into that word and repented, none of the problem would have continued.  But seeing the word that she was doing wicked, she turned away from that scripture not wanting to see into that mirror which showed her what she was doing.  

The "engrafted word" is able to save our souls if we will look into that word with meekness.

After this, she shared this word of instruction that she heard with me and then said she did not do this word of instruction. By that action, she ended up again "disturbing my resting place" for it grieves me greatly to hear that a person of God heard the truth (what to do) but did not do the truth (the word).  This probably brings greater grief to me than anything.


Had she taken that word God gave her (Prov. 24:15) and prayed for God to give her understanding and kept that word before her day and night for a season, looking closely at key words such as "resting place" and "spoil", she would not have done what she did against me.

But she treated that word in a superficial manner and ended up doing exactly opposite to the instruction given her in that word, saying things to me which "spoiled my resting place", grieving me greatly.

James warned us about such when he said:     23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.   James 1 

For to treat a word from God in such a superficial way is like looking into that glass which shows what we are in relation to the word, and then turning away and forgetting what we are really like while going in our own fleshly way.

If you treat the word of God incorrectly, Paul says you bring damnation upon yourself.  (I Cor. 11) ...

29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. 30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep (die). 31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

Three times this woman spoiled my resting place by her words to me.

- She told me she had allowed a root of bitterness to come into her heart toward me.  She should not have told me that for it greatly disturbed me.  Before she told me this, I did not know she was bitter toward me.  She should have taken her bitterness to God and discussed it with God and bowed her knee to scripture such as I Thess. 5 ... 12 And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; 13 And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.  Had she done this, she would not have told me of the bitterness.  She told me of the bitterness to get even with me, thus lying in wait until she could tell me this, allowing bitterness to grow in her heart. (This is wicked)  Then her words did the evil for which they were intended against me.  But this didn't have to happen had she grabbed hold of a scripture and if she had only done the scripture.

- Then she told me a dream which was very harmful to me.  She knew the dream had potential of being harmful and for a while she kept dream to herself.  Then, in an emotional/fleshly moment, she told me a portion of the dream. (and the portion she told was misleading and caused me to do the wrong thing in dealing with another woman)   When I later asked her specifics, she told me the whole dream.  The way she handled this was harmful but I have taken it many times to God and I believe HE has helped me to overcome this.

- Lastly she told me God had instructed her by Proverbs 24:15, but she didn't do the instruction.  It greatly harmed me for her to tell me of her disobedience to scripture, even though I had asked her why she felt she had fallen away.  She told me many things she had done which caused devils to move into her life and the last thing she listed was this scripture (Prov. 24:15) and how she rejected the instruction.  (This disobedience to scripture grieved me greatly and certainly "spoiled my resting place" for again it attacked me personally.) 


And so it is with each one of us.  We have great potential for good ... and great potential for evil ... depending on whether we do the word of God.

We can hear the word of God and fail to do the word of God and we can end up doing great evil and bring damnation upon ourselves. (also we deceive ourselves when we hear and fail to do the word of God)

So James says:    But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.  James 1:22

(After writing this exhortation, I did speak with the woman who did these things.  She said she got hung up with that word telling her she was "wicked" and couldn't get past it. What she was doing was wicked concerning storing up bitterness against me.) 

And as James said:  We must look "meekly" into the engrafted word which is able to save our souls.  

 But the good report concerning this woman is during the phone conversation, I had witness of the Holy Spirit still being in her.  When that is the case, salvation is possible.  

I urged her to hold onto the word given her and not let go in future.  To look upon it as if she is drowning and a life preserver has been thrown out to her, for that word from God is a life preserver to us and by that word we are able to save our souls. 

Pam Padgett had an open vision of this woman as she was drowning and in the water, she was flapping her arms but hadn't taken hold of the life preserver.  This is exactly correct. 

Sons & daughters of Abraham

Lk. 19 ... 1 And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho. 2 And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich. 3 And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature. 4 And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him:for he was to pass that way. 5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house. 6 And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully. 
7 And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner. 8 And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold. 9 And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham. 

All ordained by God, called by God, are children of the promise, thus sons and daughters of the promise, of Abraham ... not of the flesh but of God.

Romans 9 ... For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children:but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. 8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God:but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

God referred to Isaac as Abraham's "only" son (Gen. 22) ... yet Abraham had another son, Ishmael.

But in the sight of God Isaac, the child of the promise, was Abraham's only son.

We who are of God are sons and daughters of Abraham even if we were born Gentiles.  If we are of the promise, we are of Abraham.

Deuteronomy 12 ... Viewing the works of God by scripture

1 These are the statutes and judgments, which ye shall observe to do in the land, which the Lord God of thy fathers giveth thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth. 

2 Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree:3 And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place. 

4 Ye shall not do so unto the Lord your God. 5 But unto the place which the Lord your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come:6 And thither ye shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and heave offerings of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks:7 And there ye shall eat before the Lord your God, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein the Lord thy God hath blessed thee.

Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. 

NASB ... I Cor. 6 ... NIV ... I Cor. 6 ... Do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God?  Do not be deceived:  Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

Romans 1 explains:

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. 

24Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 

25Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.  

26For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. 

Homosexuals are in category with adulterers and fornicators and they will not inherit the kingdom of God unless God reveals Himself to them and they repent and renounce their evil doing and no longer participate in these evil deeds.

Jesus said we would know the end times because the leaves on the trees would announce the season just as leaves on trees announce summer drawing near.  Mt. 24 ... Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: 33So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

Rampant iniquity announces the end and the second coming of Jesus and the judgment of God.

When we see iniquity abound we look for such.  We have seen dramatic increases in open iniquity in our lifetime.  In 1960's in USA it was illegal to practice homosexuality (Often called sodomy in legal terms.)  Police arrested the openly homosexual men.  Today the police are forced to protect them and the law is trying to require they be upheld.  Some states have even passed a law in USA legalizing marriage between two men or between two women.

Several years ago, I received a prophesy concerning the end ... It was "look for the homosexual trumpet".  This would be a signal showing us the closing in of God's judgment.

April 28, 2013, a professional basketball player in USA announced he is homosexual.  This is the first time in the 4 major sports in USA that anyone has announced this.  One of the commissioners made statement prohibiting players from speaking against homosexuals to news media. 

The USA military once prohibited homosexual from being in the various armed services.  Now they are accepted into the military under a "Don't ask, don't tell" policy. 

All this shows the judgment leaves, spoken by Jesus, Mt. 24, surfacing on the tree as the worldly iniquities become more open and more accepted.

Lk. 17 ...  26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. 27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; 29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

(In the days of Lot, homosexuals came from every quarter of Sodom to have sex with the two men who were angels who were staying in Lot's home.)

While none of us like this as real Christians and we recognize it for the abomination it is, we also know it signals for us the closeness of the return of Jesus.  We need to be even more diligent to keep ourselves in peace, without spot and blameless, as Peter told us to do as we see the day of the Lord approaching.  II Peter 3

How can we live in peace in the midst of the wickedness of this world?

First, we know this world is not our kingdom.  Peter says we look for new heaven and new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness ... II Peter 3  This present world will never be righteous.

Second, we know this wickedness signals the end of this present world and the return of Jesus for the righteousness.

So we can live in peace as we focus on truth from the Bible.

Also as we see the end approaching we increase the exhortations in the church to help the church.

An example of the judgment of God is seen by looking at the story of Sodom.

Genesis 19 ... And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground; 2And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant’s house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night. 3And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.
 

4But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter: 5And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.  (have sex with them) 

6And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him, 7And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly. 8Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof. 

9And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door. 

10But the men (the angels) put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door. 11And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.
 

12And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place: 

13For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.

Notice in this account, the men came from "every quarter" of the city.  They came to have sex with the two men who visited Lot.  The homosexuals were rampant in Sodom.

(In Bible, homosexuals were called "sodomites".)

Gen. 19 ... And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.   16And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city. 17And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.

Gen. 19 ... Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die: 20Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live. 21And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken.  22Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do any thing till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.  23The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar. 
 

24Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven; 25And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.
 

26But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.
 

27And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the LORD: 28And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace. 29And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt.

But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. 2For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 4But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
6Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. 7For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. 8But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. 9For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 10Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
11Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

Can a homosexual be saved?

 Of course a homosexual can be saved.  If God chooses to speak and reveal sin to that person, the person is then in a position to repent and be saved.


It is like the woman caught in adultery.  Jn. 8  She was brought before Jesus and after she was forgiven Jesus said to her:  Go and sin no more.  

 (Jesus was saying to her do not continue to live as you have been living in adultery ... to the homosexual Jesus would say do not live that way again ... to the drunkard, Jesus would say do not live in drunkenness again ... to the thief Jesus would say, Do not steal again.  Whatever the sin you once committed, stop.)

The homosexual's salvation is like our salvation.  After God reveals Himself to us we are changed.  We no longer do as we once did.  And we are changed again and again as long as we live on this present earth.  God gives us the Holy Spirit to live in us and by the Holy Spirit we are shown the will of God as we go from one issue to another issue in this present life.  And each time we hear God by His Spirit and take appropriate action in the matter at hand, we are changed into the "image" of God.  We change into the image of God as we do the word of God in the situations at hand.

When referring to homosexuals what do we call them?


In the dictionary the word "gay" means:
- happily excited, merry
- keenly alive and exuberant
- having or inducing high spirits
- bright lively
- given to color
and now the definition "homosexual" is added to "gay" in dictionary.

They like to use the word gay to describe what they are because it seems to make them look good and it seems desirable.

But the Bible calls them sodomites:

I Kings 14:24 ... And there were also sodomites in the land: and they did according to all the abominations of the nations which the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.

I Kings 15:9 ... And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, as did David his father. 12And he took away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.

I Kings 22:46 ... And the remnant of the sodomites, which remained in the days of his father Asa, he took out of the land. 

II Kings 23 ... And the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, and the priests of the second order, and the keepers of the door, to bring forth out of the temple of the LORD all the vessels that were made for Baal, and for the grove, and for all the host of heaven: and he burned them without Jerusalem in the fields of Kidron, and carried the ashes of them unto Bethel. 5And he put down the idolatrous priests, whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn incense in the high places in the cities of Judah, and in the places round about Jerusalem; them also that burned incense unto Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to all the host of heaven.    6And he brought out the grove from the house of the LORD, without Jerusalem, unto the brook Kidron, and burned it at the brook Kidron, and stamped it small to powder, and cast the powder thereof upon the graves of the children of the people. 7And he brake down the houses of the sodomites, that were by the house of the LORD, where the women wove hangings for the grove.  8And he brought all the priests out of the cities of Judah, and defiled the high places where the priests had burned incense, from Geba to Beersheba, and brake down the high places of the gates that were in the entering in of the gate of Joshua the governor of the city,  

When Pam Padgett prayed about this, asking God what to call homosexuals, she heard:  "Call them homosexual or sodomites."

Writing #2:  Flood gates open for homosexuals to rush to doom 

Jesus said one thing that would happen before HIS return is that iniquity would abound.  (Mt. 24)

For the first time in history, a football player revealed that he is homosexual and he planed to enter the NFL (National Football League/USA) draft.  (He did enter the draft in 2014 but did not make either team who tried him out.)

Last fall, a football player left the Miami Dolphins because he was being harassed in the locker room.  One news announcer said it was over homosexuality.  Then the reason for the dispute was shut up and the other announcers told of the problem for many days on their reports but they never told the reason for the harassment.  It was homosexual harassment.

In Feb. 2014, the wife of the President of the United States (Mrs. Obama) praised the homosexual who has openly declared his homosexuality and she honored him greatly.  This opened the flood gates for homosexuals in the last bastion of masculine organizations in the United States.  It declares a type of approval in which homosexuals will relish.  Since this other football players have begun to tell of their homosexuality. (Now they are receiving praise in high places of this world for telling they are homosexual so they are encouraged to announce this about themselves, wanting praise.)

In Feb. 2014, President Obama came out praising a homosexual who had announced himself to be homosexual.  He, too, is football player.

Open statements have been made by authority figures that homosexuals are to be approved.  The newscasters have joined in verbal approval of this homosexual football player.  Owners and coaches have openly begun to approve homosexuals.

A few months ago, the Pope of the Catholic Church made statement that he had no basis to be opposed to homosexuals.

What about what God authored in Romans 1?    

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. 24Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.  26For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.


But the homosexual flood is on as homosexuals are encouraged and made brave by encouragement of people of worldly position.

In Russia, at the 2014 Olympics, the President of Russia, Putin, went to a lesbian and inquired personally of her treatment in Russia, openly approving her before all and honoring her before all.


The approval of sin and the open demand for the approval of sin brings us closer to the wrath of God and the judgment sent by God on the earth and the return of Jesus for HIS people.

Mt. 24 ... Jesus says ... But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

In the days of Noah, wickedness was everywhere.  It was so bad that God said he would destroy the earth and destroy man over the wickedness.  In Mt. 24, Jesus says the days before HIS return will be like the days of Noah.


Lk. 17 ... Jesus says ...  28Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; 29But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 30Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

Before Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed in the days of Lot, homosexuals were rampant.  When the two men who were angels came to Sodom to deliver Lot before the destruction, homosexuals came from every "quarter" of the city to have sex with these two men who were really angels.  And the men who were homosexuals were of every age, young and old.

Gen. 19 ... And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground; 2And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant’s house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night. 3And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.
 
4But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter: 5And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them. (have sex with them) 

6And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him, 7And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly. 8Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof. 

9And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door. 

10But the men (the two angels) put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door. 11And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.
 
12And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place: 13For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.

Before these destroying angels came to Lot, they visited Abraham.

Gen. 18 ... And the men rose up from thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way. 17And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do; 18Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? 19For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him. 20And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous; 21I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know. 22And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the LORD.


The homosexual trumpet which we are now seeing in all areas is a very grievous sin.  We have already seen marriage desecrated as men and women openly take sex partners before marriage and flaunt sex before us and have no shame.  What a sin the heterosexual do today.  Now the homosexuals will flood before us as never before.

How can this not be the leaves on the tree Jesus spoke of in Mt. 24 ... When the leaves come on the trees we all know summer is near. When the sin appears like this, it signals the coming of the wrath of God against the ungodly who act in sin without shame.  But it also signals the redemption of the godly and the return of Jesus.

I Thess. 5 ... But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. 2For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 4But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
6Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. 7For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. 8But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. 9For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 10Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
11Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.


So what do we who are of God do?

No one can turn the sin.  It is appointed as a signal for the end and the return of Jesus. 

We endure by putting the sin away from us and doing what Paul said in Phil. 4:8 ... Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.  By a deliberate act of will, we make ourselves think on those things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, things of good report, if there be any virtue and if there be any praise we think on these things.

 And we are told as we see the day of the Lord approaching to exhort one another even more ... Heb. 10

Not only do we send out these daily exhortations to build the church in the way of God, we are encouraged to fill ourselves even more daily with the Word of God and the way of God by reading Bible.  All this helps greatly in the midst of the evil of this world.  We refuse to focus on the evil but choose to surround our minds with Bible and the examples given in Bible building our faith in God and keeping our faith in God even in the rampant and increasing evil.

We labor daily to enter into HIS rest.  Heb. 4  Keeping ourselves in the Bible and thinking upon those examples given in the Bible.

II Peter 3 ... Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 5For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:  6Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 7But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
8But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 10But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?  13Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. 14Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

I Cor. 6 (KJV) ... 9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived:neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you:but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

I Cor. 6 (NASB) ...  9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.

Can a homosexual or lesbian be saved?  Yes, of course that sinner can be saved just as other sinners are saved.  But he or she cannot continue in the sin after being saved.

Revelation 21 ... 8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone:which is the second death.

Revelation 21 ... 27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie:

Revelation 22 ...  14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. 15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

I Cor. 6 (NIV) ...  9 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

To the woman taken in adultery, John 8, Jesus did not condemn her but Jesus did give her the following instruction:  "Go, and sin no more."  (She had to stop doing that sin.)

And so it is with sins:  You cannot continue in those sins.
