πŸ’₯ Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and HIS righteousness; and all these things will be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33)


We seek the kingdom of God and HIS righteousness each time we search for that which is right in the sight of God concerning the issues of this present life.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

We ask God:  "What do YOU want me to do about this?"

We say to God:  "Please STOP me if I am going the wrong direction."

We talk things over with God and ask HIM for HIS wisdom in the issues of this life.

James 1:5  If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Acts 17:28  For in HIM we live, and move, and have our being;

We find we just sit and talk with God about things in our lives.  It is like we would talk to our best friend.  We speak that which is currently in our heart.  Sometimes we do have a very serious matter and we "pour out our heart to God."  Other times we are just chatting with God, telling HIM how we feel about something.

The apostle Paul says:

Philippians 4:6-7  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Recently, I have begun listening again to my music CD's.  For more than 6 years I did not listen to them because I could not hook up my balanced cable to my unit.  But I purchased a sound processor and now I can use balanced cables.  (I was a music major in college and hear sounds that trouble me when they are slightly distorted so I just don't put myself through hearing CD's when the sound has distortion in the music.)

I have really been enjoying hearing music again after this long period away from such.

But my CD player began cutting off on some of the CD's.  I could send it off to be repaired or buy a new CD player.  I really didn't want to do either.  (I'm sure God was watching me in all this.)  

One day, the idea came that perhaps the CD was warped.  These are life long collection of CD's.  I've moved several times.  Perhaps the problem is the CD and not the unit playing the CD.

If so, that would be wonderful!  It is very easy to replace a CD.  I'm currently checking this matter and so far have found that one CD has caused a problem but the remainder of the CD's have played without incidence.

The Holy Spirit guides us into all truth ... John 16:13

I have always believed that HE, The Spirit of Truth, guides us into all truth:  spiritual truth and secular truth.

I'm sure the Holy Spirit wants to help us if we are troubled about anything.

(Some today feel this way about the Bible:  "It is too legalistic."  They will not have the Bible to rule over them but look for another way.  There is only one way, Jesus, who is the Word.)

15 And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.

16 Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.

17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.

18 And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.

19 And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.

Hebrews 11

23 By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king's commandment.

(The king had commanded that every male child be killed at birth because there were too many Jewish men in Egypt.  Moses would have been killed but his parents hid Moses in the river and Pharaoh's daughter found the Hebrew baby floating in the daubed ark and she took him to raise him as her own child.)

24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;

25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;

26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.

27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing HIM who is invisible.

Like Moses, we too see HIM who is invisible.

Those things we can see with our natural eye will be burned up, destroyed by God, at the end of this world.

2 Peter 3:10  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Matthew 24:35  (Jesus says)  Heaven and earth shall pass away, but MY words shall not pass away.

We see that which is eternal.  The people of this world see that which is temporary.

2 Corinthians 4:18  While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

(temporal: temporary; restricted by boundaries of time)

Mark 8  (Jesus says)

34 And when HE had called the people unto HIM with HIS disciples also, HE said unto them, Whosoever will come after ME, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow ME.

35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for MY sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.

36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Abraham is an example for us.  He wanted his "wealth" to come from God.

Genesis 14

21 And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself.

22 And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,

23 That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:

As those born of the Spirit of God, we try to do that which is right in the sight of God to other people.

We are not abusers of ourselves with mankind as are those people of this world.

I Corinthians 6

8 Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren.

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

We have inside of us the way of God as we deal with others, not wanting to take advantage of others to get what we want on this present earth.

We hold fast to personal integrity which comes from doing that which is right in the sight of God.  We base our way of life on what is right in the sight of God, living by scripture, living uncompromising lives, building a moral base from scriptures.

In pursuit of money and fame and position in this life, many lose personal integrity, compromising their way of life to get what they want.  Integrity is critical for each of us.

Integrity is the practice of being honest and showing a consistent and uncompromising adherence to strong moral and ethical principles and values.  Our integrity is based on that which God teaches us from the Holy Bible and on that which God plants in our heart by HIS Holy Spirit.

For our kingdom is not of this world, as is theirs.

That which matters to us is doing that which is right in the sight of God, even when it causes us to suffer worldly loss.

πŸ’₯ Examples: I have a bed frame which raises and lowers the bed.  One of our kittens chewed through the wiring.  We set about to have the frame fixed.  But when the man from the mattress company came to replace the motor, he found the damage was far more extensive than anticipated so we would be better off to buy a new frame.  When I found we needed to do this, all I could think of is being sure we paid the man who came but couldn't do the repair work.  When I asked Pam, she said she had already paid him for his trip to our house.  Pam and I have the same Spirit, the Spirit of God, not wanting to do harm to others nor cause them to suffer loss.  (I Cor. 6:9  (not being) Abusers of themselves with mankind)

Another example:  I bought a new leather sofa several years ago. After they delivered the sofa, my cat jumped on the sofa and inspected the addition.  When my cleaning lady came to work, she said my cat had damaged the new sofa with one of her claws.  I looked at one of the seats and saw the claw mark.  Most people would not notice the small scratch.  I could have called and told the furniture store I had decided not to buy the sofa.  But if I did that someone else would suffer loss.  If the furniture store sold the sofa then the customer would have a slightly damaged sofa.  Or the furniture store would suffer loss if they discovered the blemish and had to discount the price to sell the item.  This is what Paul means when he speaks of being an abuser of themselves with mankind.  Is is worth losing your soul?

I Corinthians 10:12-13  Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

13  There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

In 2019, when I moved to Colorado, I gave that leather sofa to my contractor's son.  Tom said his son was so happy to get the sofa.

Do not defraud another person.  Suffer the loss.  God will repay you.

This is a part of developing integrity.

Also it shows that person and whether or not this world is that person's kingdom.

We must do right by other people.

I Corinthians 10

6 Now these things (in the Bible) were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.

7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.

8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.

9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.

10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

Colossians 3

1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

(What is right in the sight of God in this issue?)

2 Set your affection on things above (pleasing God), not on things on the earth.

For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

(At the moment we were born again, we died to this world and the things of this world, for God gave us HIS Spirit to live in us and teach us and guide us in HIS ways.  HE delivered us from this world and caused us to follow HIS Spirit.  So our goals differ from the goals of this world.  Now we serve God doing as God instructs.  We are dead to this world but alive to God. And we hold fast to the Word of God in all our ways, doing what is shown us by God through HIS Spirit and the Holy Scriptures.)

4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with HIM in glory.

5 Mortify (put to death) therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:

7 In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.

But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of HIM that created him:

11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

The Book of Proverbs is filled with wisdom given to king Solomon from God and we can learn many wonderful things by these verses in this life, seeing the way of God, the way of true godliness for both this life and the next life which is forever.
 
Our kingdom is not of this world.  We see HIM who is invisible!

I often pray over myself the following:

Psalm 51:10  Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

When we brush against this world and the ideas of man, we often take on uncleanness of this world.  I depend on God to restore my soul to HIS ways and set me straight from the ways of men of this world.  So I ask God to cleanse my heart and spirit that I may serve God and go in HIS way.

After praying this and depending on God, I encounter perfect peace, as God restores me to HIMSELF and His truth and HIS way.

When God cleanses us, we are clean!

Start now with a good heart and lay your foundation in wisdom as presented by God as we spend the next several days looking at the book of Proverbs and allowing God to work in us by HIS Word.

Recently I completed a secular project and as a result merchants added me to their mailing list and began sending me emails showing additional items "I might like."

I did not open their email.  

I am content with that which I now have.  (I Timothy 6)

I often avoid catalogues and such that stir up my flesh for things I do not need.

As we approached the end of winter, I knew I needed some dresses to wear around the house.  That which I had been wearing would be too warm for summer.  That which I wore last summer do not suit me because I find them shorter than I prefer and also having gone through the disease "shingles" some fabrics irritate my skin and I didn't want to go through sorting this matter out.  (I think I just talked with God about the need.)

One day Pam came into my room carrying a bright house-type dress.  She said, "Do you think you might use this?"  I told her I do need something for summer and I would certainly try it and see if it worked for me.

The material did not irritate my skin.  And the length was longer and I liked it very much.  After wearing it I found it to be exactly what I needed for summer.

(I ordered 4 dresses just like this one, but in various colors.  I usually need about 5  for purposes of laundry.  I'm not interested in variety of clothing.  I'm just trying to get through the warmer seasons and this one dress which could be ordered on Internet suited me perfectly.)

I marveled at how easily my need was met at the exact time of the need.

Matthew 6  (Jesus says)

25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

I felt I had just experienced this scripture being fulfilled in my life through God knowing my need and using Pam to help me.

Philippians 4:19    But my God shall supply all your need,

Concerning the scripture:  " Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied."

I often witnessed the truth of this scripture when I owned my business in American Indian Arts.  Mostly we sold jewelry.  I saw women come in and put an item on lay away.  I saw these women come in to pick up the item and before they even got the jewelry they had purchased, they were looking for other jewelry to buy.

Merchants love this truth!

The dealer in Colorado Springs who helps us with sound and video equipment sent us an invitation to attend a showing and demonstration in Denver by a maker of sound equipment.

I told Pam I did not want to hear this.

I am content with the sound equipment I have and everything works well together.  I don't want to make any additional change.

I am truly grateful for what I have.

6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.

7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

It will get much worse in the days ahead on this earth.

No wonder Jesus said:  For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.  (Mt. 24:21-22)

We must learn to operate in God's wisdom, obeying the Holy Scriptures.

Joshua 1:8  This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

πŸ’₯ What Covid should have taught us.

 
We had a taste of what this world will be like as we approach the end of the world and the coming of Jesus and the judgment of God.

We learned what it was to be separate from this world.  (Though some have no doubt returned to the world and the joys perceived to be from associating with this world.)

God warns us through scripture to come out and be separate and touch not the unclean.

2 Corinthians 6

14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be MY people.

17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

During the Covid period, we went through a type of separation and isolation that most of us have never experienced.

We are going to see many additional evils and problems as we draw nearer to the end of this world and the return of Jesus.

The apostle Paul explains:

2 Timothy 3

1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

Recently CNN presented a story about an Osprey bird who laid her eggs and during a hail storm protected her unborn babies by putting her own body over the eggs to protect them!

This is natural affection.

I thought of adult women who fight for the right to kill their own babies through abortion.  This is unnatural affection which the apostle Paul told us would be an element of the evil of the end times, 2 Timothy 3:3.

Paul told us to separate from such and leave them alone.  From such "turn away".  2 Timothy 3:5

If we try to fight the evil we can be consumed by the evil.  Turn away.

We will want to fight.  But do what the Bible says instead.  

(I refuse to watch the abortion stories when they come on TV.  I just turn the TV off.)

At the great tribulation, at the end of this world, God will bring HIS wrath upon this earth. 
(see Revelation 8, 9, 16)

Will we be worthy to escape that which comes upon this earth?

Luke 21:25-27  Jesus says:

25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

Will we be accounted worthy to escape that which is coming upon this earth?

As the wickedness of this world and the apostate churches grows more blatant for all to see, we know we grow closer to the wrath that comes through God upon this present world and the apostate church who refuse to obey scriptures and set up doctrines to approve themselves in their sins.

Matthew 24  (Jesus says)

35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Will some Christians be taken out while other Christians who are not ready be left to go through the great tribulation?

God shows the Old Testament prophets that which will come at the end of the earth:

Isaiah 13

9 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and HE shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in HIS going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

12 I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.

(There will be few men who stand up for truth and righteousness.  Integrity will vanish.  That is what it means when we read there will be few men.)

13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of HIS fierce anger.

πŸ’₯ Proverbs help me to modify my way.


So often I will "jump in" and have to give a reason for something.

This proverb warns me not to do that!

Proverbs 26:16  The sluggard is wiser in his own conceit than seven men that can render a reason.

There are other proverbs that help me to make adjustments also.

Proverbs 22:13  The slothful man saith, There is a lion without, I shall be slain in the streets.

Avoid making excuses for "not" going forward.

In the 1980's there was a woman who had a beautiful operatic contralto voice.  She and her husband had been over Europe many times where he spoke and she sang at churches.

When a woman who was VP at Braniff airlines was follower of my radio broadcasts and gave me two round trip tickets to Europe, I invited Emogene to go along.  She could get us many invitations to share in church groups where she sang and I spoke.

Later I invited her to go with me to Houston where I had been invited to speak at a church.  I was on radio in Houston at that time.

I decided to set up radio broadcast in Oklahoma City and I invited her to go to the initial meeting which I was giving there for radio audience but Emogene said, "Maybe we should wait until a man can go with us."

I went on by myself to Oklahoma City.

I ended up making tours all over USA to places I was on radio.  I would rent a meeting room at motel or convention center and announce on radio I would be there on specific days and times.  I was travelling alone and there was no problem.  

God told me not to allow a "reason" (imagination of the mind) to hold me back.  

I recall having a Sunday afternoon meeting in Denver the day the Broncho's (football team) played a game at the same time as my meeting.  I had a good crowd come to the meeting in spite of the football game.

I divided the USA into 3 sections and would have east coast, central, and west coast tours where I spoke to radio audiences and I always ended up going alone.  If I needed help someone who lived in that city would help me.

The proverb warns us not to allow imaginations to stop us.

"The slothful man saith, There is a lion without, I shall be slain in the streets."

πŸ’₯To live as this world lives has serious consequences especially in the last days.

 
The apostle Paul says:

Romans 12:1-2  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

We renew our minds to the Word of God and transform ourselves by that word  conforming ourselves to God's word and when we do this we bless ourselves by doing the Word instead of living the way this world lives.

So we look at some of the things God tells us in the Bible:

Deuteronomy 28

2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

11 And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

12 The LORD shall open unto thee HIS good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in HIS season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God,

As a new Christian in l975, one of the first things brought to my mind by God was to get out of debt and stay out of debt.  

I thought this over and agreed to do this and set my life from then to this present day to live debt free.  

If I don't have the cash money, I don't purchase the object.

This may seem like an hard yoke to some of you who have lived the way of this world, charging now and paying later, but really the burden of debt causes you to live beneath that which God plans for HIS people and puts you into a life set by patterns of this world.

What did God say in the Bible?

The king of Sodom tried to bless Abraham.  What did Abram say to the king of Sodom?

Genesis 14

22 And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,

23 That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:

When I read this long ago, I said to God.  "That is the way I want to live, like Abraham lived.  I want my possessions on the earth to come from God and not from man."

Those who live by ways of man and plans of this world will go down with this world.

The New Testament Bible shows us the way of God and how to live today:

6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.

7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

I got out of debt in 1976 and I never again bought anything unless I could pay cash for that thing.  Even concerning houses and cars, I never went into debt.  I rented an apartment until I could pay to have house built.  I drove an old car until I could pay cash for a car.  God made a way for me to have both cars and multiple houses but I refused to go into debt to get such.

Since my house was debt free, when I sold that house in 2020, I put the money into my bank. I was approximately 81-years-old at that time. God had shown me I could no longer live alone.  Also I had broken an hip the second time in a fall and also had a badly broken left wrist.  I was in an hospital in Lubbock, Texas, after having surgery.  God told me I would never see my house in Texas again.  So I put that house up for sale.  I didn't know where I would go but I did know God had a plan and if HE left me on the earth HE would work out where I would live and when I would live there.

Acts 17:26  ... (God) hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

In the summer of 2018, God led Pam Padgett to begin a construction project at her home in Colorado.  She converted a downstairs study into a downstairs bedroom and added a shower to her downstairs 1/2 bath which is across from the new downstairs bedroom.

The construction was completed in January 2019.  

In February 2019, God arranged for me to move into that newly constructed area, where I've lived since the time it was built.

Pam did not want to take any money for me to live there but I insisted on paying $500 a month.  When my house in Texas sold, I began paying $1,000 a month.

The great thing is this:  Pam has the same Holy Spirit of God that I have!  

And we have both been taught by God so we have no debt.

You want to bless your family, but are you doing this in a godly way or are you doing this in the way of this world?  

In 1960, I moved to Dallas, Texas.  A very strange article appeared in The Dallas Morning News.  They told of a new way of life.  Plastic cards would take the place of money.  We couldn't image such a thing as this.

By 1990, I was charging everything on Master Card.  But I didn't charge anything unless I had the money to pay in full at the end of each month.

Master Card wrote telling me they wanted me to consolidate all my debt with them.  I replied, "But I have no debt."

They cancelled my Master Card!  

I took out a VISA card and have had VISA since that time.  And have continued paying in full at the end of each month.  They first gave me a $500 credit limit.  The last time I looked, they had raised the credit limit to $15,000.  I did not change my life at all.  I do not purchase anything unless I can pay in full at the end of the month.

Recently I had a dream.  God showed me everything would be all right if people paid the debt they owed but they wouldn't and terrible consequences followed.

That is where we are NOW as a people and as a nation.  The results will be devastating.

None of us can continue to live the way of this world.  Heed the scriptures.  Change your way if needed and go in the way shown us in I Timothy 6.

Podcast: God plants HIS Word in our heart

 

 
In approximately 1982, God gave Pam Padgett a dream saying, "Joan Boney is your supervisor."

I don't believe I had even met Pam at that time.  She had read some of my writings which I sent to others and one of those people was a friend of Pam's and she let Pam read my writings.

In 2012, I had a dream showing me to publish exhortations for the church on a blog.

Pam Padgett had just retired from Fed Ex as a computer programmer.

I contacted Pam immediately asking her if she could set up a blog for us, Jesus Ministries Exhortations.

Pam said she didn't know anything about blogs but she probably could do this.

Within 3 days Pam had a blog on Internet and we began writing exhortations for the church.

In 2015, we began self-published books on Amazon and Pam did all the technical work required to publish paperback and e-books on Amazon.

In 2020, I had a dream showing me to begin Podcasts on Internet.  Pam set up the recordings and found a Podcast Host whereby the broadcasts could go out all over the world on Internet.

In 2018, after I fell at my house in Texas and was awaiting surgery for a broken hip and left wrist, a nurse came into my hospital room and said I would have to declare someone as being "in charge" of me before they could do surgery.  I replied, "Pam Padgett is in charge of me."  One of our church group was standing there when I said this and she said, "How can Pam be in charge.  She doesn't even live here.  She is 400-miles away."  I replied, "I don't know 'HOW' she can be, but she is."

This woman called Pam and said, "Joan said you are in charge of her."

She replied, "Okay."

(I knew God had set this up.)

I was in rehabilitation hospitals in Texas for 2 1/2 months after surgery.

From Colorado, Pam worked with the staff at the hospitals.  Arranged for me to be moved when the first hospital didn't work out well for me.  Arranged for an estate sale at my house.  Worked with my contractor to put into storage the items I wanted to keep.  Arranged for me to get to appointment at surgeon's office.  Flew from Denver, Colorado, to Lubbock, Texas three or four times to help me and see about me. Finally came by plane to Lubbock to help me fly back to Denver and then drive to Colorado Springs where I was to live in a down stairs bedroom which she had converted from a library room the month before at her house.

All these things were planted in Pam's heart by God to do and also in my heart.

(As I am writing this, I am 85-years-old.  I can't walk except for a few feet at a time by a walker.  Pam takes me by wheelchair to doctor appointments and often I ride with her and sit in the car while she goes into the store.  Pam arranges for me to have meals daily.  She assists me with personal needs through placing orders for me on Amazon.  When my electric love-seat control broke, Pam took me by wheelchair to find replacement chair.  Pam arranges for needed repairs.  We work together publishing the blog, books, Podcasts for the ministry.  We have the same spirit in us, the Holy Spirit, so we work and live together in the same house very well.  And it was all set up by God.)
