Psalm 111:10 The
fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have
all they that do HIS commandments: HIS praise endureth for ever.

Do you have a fear of the Lord in the handling the Bible?
I certainly do!
As
a new Christian in 1975, I wrote the following words on the first page
of each book of the Bible in both Old and New Testaments: "Ask God for wisdom."
I knew I needed God's wisdom in understanding scriptures.
And God promises that HE will give us wisdom when we ask HIM.
James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

The fear of the Lord, is knowing when God tells us something we must heed that instruction for our own well being.
For
if we turn from the word given by God, whether that word be Bible or
instruction brought directly to our mind by the Holy Spirit, we can
bring destruction upon ourselves or harm ourselves.
Devils bring thoughts to our minds which are exactly opposite from that which God wants us to do. (Devils try to steal, kill, and destroy us by getting us to do what they know will harm us.)
Often devils would try to get us to do things that seem religious.
And we will find ourselves telling what "we" did rather than what God
told us to do, bringing praise to ourselves rather than praise to God.

I Peter 5:8-9
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

Philippians 4:6-7
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
