💥 Isaiah 66 / Matthew 24

Isaiah 66  (God says)

2  But to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at MY word.

3  Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.

4  I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before MINE eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.

Matthew 24  (Jesus says)

21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

We know by this some of the elect will be on the earth at the time of the great tribulation.  But perhaps not all the elect.  Some may be taken out before the great tribulation

Matthew 24

36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but MY Father only.

37 But as the days of Noe (Noah) were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Verses 40-41 seem to indicate those of the elect "who are ready" will be taken out before the great tribulation.

40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

Isaiah 66

15 For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with HIS chariots like a whirlwind, to render HIS anger with fury, and HIS rebuke with flames of fire.

16 For by fire and by HIS sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.
