Scripture: Shared by body of Christ

John 5:30 ... I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

Exhortation:   (Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet)

The first time I heard this scripture I was astounded.  Jesus could do nothing except when he heard from God the Father.

Certainly I can do nothing unless I heard from God the Father.

So God used this to teach me to wait until I heard from God before speaking and to be sure it was God by testing that which I heard through prayer and through Bible study.

Taking thoughts captive

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

When a person strikes out against you, it is like an arrow piercing your heart.  It grieves you and hurts you.  Often what that person said is wrong and unjust against you.

What we must learn to do is to turn to God in prayer and review the matter before God, taking the troubling words spoken against you to God and learning what God would say ...

Paul spoke of such in II Cor. 10 ...For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)  5Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Here is an example of taking destructive thoughts captive:

Recently a man brought some false teachings to me.  He had added things to the Bible that were not there.  I took the scriptures and showed him what he was saying was not in the passage of the Bible which he quoted.  He thanked me and said what we should do is what I did ... check out the things spoken with the Bible.

Then he wanted me to read his writings and judge them. (This would pull me down and keeping me from doing the assignment given me by God which is to exhort the church in truth.)

I told him I was not going to read his writings. He is a false teacher.

He began angry and struck out at me.

He said, "Since you've judged me I have a right to judge you ... ?right?"

I did not respond to him but I did turn to God and asked God about this man's statement.  Here is what God said to me by His Spirit.

I Cor. 2:15 ... But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

Spiritual means:  One who is of the Spirit.

That person who hears by the Spirit of God judges matters.

Jesus said:  Jn. 5:29 ... I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

We turn to God with the matter and as we hear from God concerning the matter, we judge.

This man spoke false things, adding false doctrines to the Bible.  When I showed him what the Bible said he saw his doctrine was not in line with the Bible.

I dealt with this man by the Spirit of God.  This man turned on me with his own flesh and thought he could judge me.  He will not have success in this according to I Cor. 2:15 for this this man is not spiritual but fleshly in his Bible dealings.

Scripture: Shared by body of Christ

John 5:8-9 ... Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. 9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked:and on the same day was the sabbath.

Exhortation:   (Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet)

First, Jesus (The Word of God) spoke to the man) ... We can do nothing prior to hearing that Word from God on the matter at hand.  The power is in that Word.

The Word gave instructions. The man followed those instruction because he believed.

Immediately he was made whole.

Romans 4:2 ...  Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness

Jesus said ... This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.  Jn. 6:29

Believing the Word that is sent to us is our "work".

We are also warned:  Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.  I Jn. 4

Spirits send thoughts, ideas, to our minds.  We must prove those ideas.  When the thought is some form of doctrine we can look closely at the scriptures and pray and the Spirit of Truth, the Holy Spirit will show us whether the doctrine is of God.

Thoughts come to me that are not of God and when I get into the scriptures and compare those scriptures that are brought to my mind by the Holy Spirit I can prove the doctrine.  Sometimes it is not of God so I discard that doctrine and do not speak it.

We must not think every idea we have is from the Spirit of God.

And remember, the devil quoted scripture to Jesus to try to get Jesus to do things.

Mt. 4 ... Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. 2And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. 3And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. 4But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. 5Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, 6And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written,  He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. 7Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.  8Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 9And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. 10Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. 11Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

End time deception is rampant in the churches.  Many false doctrines surface in the name of Jesus.

We must prove all things through prayer and Bible study, following the Holy Spirit as we study.

False teacher

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Recently a man brought some false teaching to me.  He had added things to the Bible that were not there.  I took the scriptures and showed him what he was saying was not in the passage of the Bible which he quoted.  He thanked me and said what we should do is what I did ... check out the things spoken with the Bible.

Then he wanted me to read his writings and judge them.

I told him I was not going to read his writings because he is a false teacher.

John 5:21 ... For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.

Exhortation:  (Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet)

The Son, Jesus Christ, sends HIS Spirit, The Holy Spirit, to each person chosen by God and causes us to be "quickened", made alive.  We are continually raised from the dead by Jesus through His Spirit as we live on this present earth.

There are many references in the Bible to "trumpets" ... There is a voice like a trumpet.  When God put me on radio in 1980, I heard a voice like a trumpet giving me the call letters to radio station.  I was broadcasting within a week from hearing this trumpet voice.  The voice sounded in my ear as I slept.

We see that when Jesus returns there will be the "trump" of God sounded.  I Thess. 4 ... But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Warnings are often referred to as sounding a trumpet ... warning the people to awaken and take certain action.

For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle? 9So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air. I Cor. 14

What is the "trumpet" sounding today?  What is the sign of the end time and the return of Jesus? What should we expect to see?

DECEPTION in the church ...

Mt. 24 ... And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
4And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

The first thing Jesus named as a sign of the end of the world and the sign of HIS coming is deception in the church circles.  They will come in the name of Jesus deceiving many.

Paul also warned us of an increase in deception in the church as we grow closer to the end and closer to the return of Jesus.

II Tim. 3 ... Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away...But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. (verses 5 & 13)

This deception and seduction was going to happen inside the church ... notice these deceivers would have a "form of godliness" ... they would come in name of Jesus... they would appear to be one of us ... they would deceive and be deceived by their own words.

Twice this year, we have been briefly deceived.  First by a false prophet.  Then by a false teacher. Their fruits gave them away.  The one who was a false prophet was correcting the church while she committed fornication.  The false teacher came quoting lots of scripture but teaching things that were not in the Bible.  When we know the Bible we will question things brought to us that are not in the Bible.  And we will know them by their fruits.  When they speak things not in the Bible they speak false things and therefore are false teachers.  They did not just make a mistake.  They speak falsely because their real father is the devil, the father of lies.  God did not give them understanding because they do not belong to God.  Often they belong to church groups since childhood.  They copy the real believers.  But when they speak they are always a little off like a radio station that is slightly out of tune.  These are the mockers spoken of in Jude.

Jude ... These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; 13Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever...their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage. 17But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; 18How that they told you there should be mockers (imitators) in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. 19These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.

If you belong to God and have the Spirit of God watch out for these deceivers in the church.  Often they are pastors and other ministers.

If you hear them speak things that are wrong, don't just think they made a mistake.  They are deceivers in the church.

I've never yet had one of these show grief over his misuse of scripture.

Flee from such people.

This is an end-time trumpet ... deception in the church.

Testimony

David Baskin ... member of body of Christ

(Comments by Joan Boney ... David is my "sound guy" working with me in putting together my audio/video equipment.  I met David 3 years ago.  He was diagnosed with ALS, one of the worse diseases known to man.  He has become paralyzed with exception of 2 fingers.  He still runs his business.)

David's testimony ...

All I can say is I was saved in 1987 at the front door of my apartment. I closed the door and continued my life not really thinking much about it. I have always felt that I was in control of everything about my life and body. I was always very good at any sports I participated in because I would pour every ounce of effort into that sport.

When I got sick I said there is no way that this was going to get me. I said I would never be in a wheelchair. Well after numerous falls and trips to the hospital I went to a cane to then a walker. I knew the next step was a chair. So one day I prayed to God asking for his help and that my life was turned over to Him. Every since then I have been able to deal with every aspect of this disease and change in my life. I know that He is there for me and my family. I get up every day looking forward to another day on this earth. Looking back to all of the sports I did I think it was God teaching me to never give up and persevere through the challenges in my life. I think He was preparing me for what I am going through today.

I have had many very scary procedures from the ventilator to the scope in my lungs and the feeding tube that was put in my stomach. Every time I got scared I did what you told me to do. Pray to God. "God help me" over and over. Guess what? I was just fine with it all.

As for my business I am approaching the end of the installation side of it. It is just too difficult with me being in my situation. God has placed several people in my life recently to help with just selling equipment only.

Scripture: Shared by body of Christ

John 6:33 ... For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

Exhortation:  (Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet)

Mt. 16 ... When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? 14And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist:  some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. 15He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. 18And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

No man revealed this truth to Peter.  God revealed to Peter that Jesus is the Son of God.  This is the revealed word of God and it is upon that word revealed by God that the gates of hell will not stand against.  The word revealed by God is the rock.  The church are those to whom that word from God is revealed.

The bread of God is HE, Jesus, THE WORD,   which comes down from God today through His Spirit.  We eat that bread, THE WORD, and believe THAT WORD, and we do actions appropriate to THAT WORDThis is the Lord's Supper.

It is God who gives us understanding.  No man can make us understand.  It is as God chooses to reveal something to us that we understand.

Recently an individual wanted me to help him to understand.   He wanted to ask me questions.  I stopped him.  Understanding is from God.  All I can do is speak the word I believe to be from the Spirit of God and God will have to open your understanding of that Word if HE chooses to do so.

If we don't understand, we have to turn to God in prayer and if God chooses to give us understanding HE will do so.  We simply ask and wait.  But no man can cause us to understand.  If God reveals a word to us by His Spirit on the issue at hand we will understand.  In the meantime we pray ... we read the Bible ... we focus on that which stands out to us and apply it to our lives in appropriate ways.

Helped by God

Pam Padgett ... teacher

Recently there have been two times when my dog has been in a troubling situation.  But when I turned to God, I was given exactly what to do.

This dog is quite large and is old.  In the past he's gone up and down the staircase with no problems.  But one morning a few weeks ago he wouldn't go down the stairs, acting unsteady and afraid.  He weighs too much for me to carry and I hoped with rest he might be ok.  After three hours, he seemed steadier but still afraid, and I became concerned because there is no other way for him to go outside.  I turned to God and asked what to do, and was reminded of a neighbor.  I called this man and he came.  The neighbor was upstairs with the dog and I went downstairs to get something.  Surprisingly, when the dog saw me go down the stairs and leave him alone with the neighbor, he followed me.  By the neighbor just being there, the problem was resolved!  I thanked God for bringing this man to my attention.

This incident made me realize it was not good for the dog to go up and down the stairs any more, so I put a gate across the bottom of the stairs.  Everything was fine until a few days ago.  I forgot to secure the gate, and the dog came up the stairs.  I saw him as he reached the top stair ... but then he started helplessly slipping backwards down the stairs!  I quickly tried to help, getting to a step below the dog and stopping his fall.  But what could I do now?  He's too big for me to lift up, and I could only balance him where he was, about 10 stairs from the bottom of the staircase.  If I moved to try to get help, he would fall down the stairs.   I cried out to God, asking what I should do?  Immediately I "knew" to gently and slowly ease the dog down a step at a time.  It was amazing how easy this was to do!  The dog tried to walk down the last stair or two and fell but was not hurt since it such a short distance.  Seeing this, however, showed how very dangerous it would have been had he fallen the entire distance down the stairs.

(Comments by Joan Boney ...  The power of God, the glory of God is in what God did in the above example.  It is the "rock" which I spoke of in the previous writing ... The "rock" is that word that comes down from heaven in the specific issue of this present life... Pam goes on to speak of a scripture that tells about the glory of God but the real glory of God is shown in the previous two paragraphs.)

Pam says ...

Each time I think of these two incidents and how God answered my cries for help, providing the exact help I needed in each situation, I've been reminded that God is a very present help in trouble.  No matter what we face, God hears our cries and knows what we need to be helped.   God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.  (Psalm 46:1)

Scripture: Shared by body of Christ

John 6:47 ... Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

Exhortation:  (Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet)

Eternal life comes by believing on Jesus, THE WORD.  When the Holy Spirit speaks a word to us and we believe that word we believe on Jesus, THE WORD.

After I was born again, I visited the home of my parents.  At one point I went to cabinet to get a glass and saw some Zodiac mugs I had given my mother.  I took a sack and loaded those mugs into the sack.  My mother was watching me do this and she said, "What are you doing?  ... You gave me those mugs ... I want to keep them."  I said nothing but headed to garbage and broke the mugs and put them into dumpster in alley.  I returned to house, took Bible and read to my mother the following scripture:

Deut. 18 ...When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. 10There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, 11Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. 12For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD:

After I read this to her, she said ... "Well, I guess we'd better not do that any more."

Later I received a letter from my uncle saying my mother had really changed.

I believe she was born again when she believed the word I read to her from the Bible.

Cared for by God

Joseph Meriweather ... member of body of Christ

I would like to share with the church God's help toward me.  About 13 years ago I bought a mattress set from a well known furniture store.  I had this mattress just over a year.  The top mattress threads started coming loose.  So at that time I called the store and talked to this man in the service department about what happened to this mattress.  He said the warranty was over on the mattress threads, and a stain also made it void.  After talking with him, I never bought a new mattress for the next 12 years.

About two months ago me and my wife went shopping for the master bedroom, a new top mattress at a different furniture store.  We found we like queen size.  After purchasing this mattress, I started talking to the salesman about this damaged mattress I wanted to replace.  He asked me what kind of mattress it was and where I purchased it.  I told him the name of the mattress and where I bought it.  He told me that type of mattress has a 15 year warranty on it.

So I went back to the store asking GOD to help me, and I wasn't going to fuss about it if they turned me down.  The woman at the counter asked me for my name and address.  She told me the mattress still has two more years of warranty on it.  She told me they would send a serviceman out to my house.  She also mentioned that stains on the mattress would void the warranty.  So me and my wife started home.  I went to look at the mattress for stains.  It was a small stain on it.  I tried to clean it off, but it would not work.  The next day the service department called me to tell me that the serviceman would like to come out in two days.  I told the woman about the stain that was on the mattress and said it wouldn't help because of the stain.  This woman kept pressing me about letting the serviceman come out to my house.  I said "ok then".  When the serviceman arrived, he looked over the mattress and told me to come in the room and showed me the stain.  He said he would have to report this.  I said I understand.  The serviceman told me they will contact me later.

The service department called me and said that they will cover the mattress for the same price.  Also, they will give me a lower box spring to go along with it if I just come in the store and pick out the two new mattresses.  I kept saying "thank you JESUS" over and over.

This scripture came to mind while typing this message from GOD ...

Psalm 84:11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Truly we have a great GOD that cares for us.

How do you eat Jesus?

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Jesus said:  Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Jn. 6:53

How do you eat Jesus?

Jesus is THE WORD.  We eat Jesus each time we consume THE WORD that is given us by the Holy Spirit.  We think on that word.  We take it into our lives by doing that word.  Doing of the word given by the Holy Spirit is eating the flesh of Jesus (the Word) and drinking the blood of Jesus (the Word)

This is the way we partake of the Lord's supper.

Jn. 6 ... Jesus said ... I (THE WORD) am that bread of life. 49Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. 50This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. 51I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. 52The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? 53Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. 54Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. 55For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. 56He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. 57As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. 58This is that bread which came down from heaven:

Today the Word comes down from heaven to us by the Holy Spirit.  We have the Word brought to our minds.  Focus on that Word.  That is the bread of life coming to us.  We live by that Word brought down from heaven to us by God by the Spirit of God.

This is the Lord's supper ... The Word of God that comes down from heaven today by the Spirit of God to give life to those of us who eat and drink that Word, doing that Word in our lives.

How do you keep oil in your lamps?

In Matthew 25, Jesus exhorts us to keep oil in our lamps so we will be ready for the return of the bridegroom.

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. 2And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: 4But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. 6And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 7Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.  9But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. 10And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. 11Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. 12But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. 13Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

How do we keep our lamps filled with oil?

Meditation daily in the word given you by God.  We read the Bible and focus on that verse that stands out to us.  Or we have a scripture called to our mind when we are in kitchen.  These are the verses in which we meed to meditate.
Meditating in the Word given you by God ...

We will be reading the Bible and sometimes a verse of scripture just stands out and we try to read past that verse and keep being pulled back to that verse.

When this happens, stop trying to go ahead and focus on that verse.  There is a special message from God to you in that verse.

This is called "meditating" in the Word from God.  As you do this, you eat the flesh of Jesus and you drink the blood of Jesus.  Jesus said:  Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Jn. 53

This is where the power is.  The power is in that specific verse that stands out to you.  You may need to spend several days, weeks, or even months on that verse.  I have often spent several months looking daily at the same verse.

At this point in time, and for the past few weeks, I have been focused on the following:

Joshua 1 ...

There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. 6Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.  7Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.  8This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.  9Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

First, I noticed 3 times God said the same thing:  "Be strong and of good courage ..."

I took a dictionary and looked up the words "strong" and "courage".

Strong means:
-  exerting great force
-  showing determination, self-control
-  intense and firmly held
-  lasting despite difficulties
-  very intense
-  forceful

Courage means:

-  ability to do something that frightens one
-  strength in the face of pain or grief
-  acting on one's beliefs despite danger or disapproval

From dictionary:  Courage is what makes someone capable of facing extreme danger and difficulty without retreating ... Ability to endure in time of adversity ... Standing up when it really counts ... firmness or strength of mind ... determination ... stubborn persistence and unwillingness to acknowledge defeat ... conviction and eagerness ... unflappable daring with which someone acts ... not deterred by danger or pain ...

=========

Twice in Joshua 1, God speak of the correlation of prosperity and acting upon that which God has shown you.

Joshua 1:7-8  ... Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.  8This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

I have found that I prosper without trying to prosper.  All I've been trying to do for the past 30+ years is what God tells me to do.

=========

And God says ... Have not I commanded thee?  Joshua 1:9 ... Has God commanded you?  Are you really hearing from God to do that?  If it is really God, it will happen but you must be very courageous.

In 1980, God spoke to me in the night while I slept ... 3 words ... "Hartford, Seattle, KWJS" ...

"What did it mean?"  I asked God.  (Turned out KWJS was radio station.)  "Are you telling me to go on radio?  I wouldn't know how to do that."  (Gentle impression:  Call radio station manager)  I called that morning.  Manager said make audition tape 29 1/2 minutes long and if I fit with their broadcasting they would offer me a contract.  I made an audition tape immediately. (I just sat down and spoke that which God brought to my mind by HIS Spirit and mailed tape that day to radio station.)  Within a week I was on radio five days a week for 30 minutes per day.

Was that God WHO commanded me?  I was certainly persuaded it was.

Sometimes a scripture will strongly stand out to you ... Phil. 2 stood out to me this way about 2 years ago ...
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7But made himself of no reputation,

I began to meditate on this and stayed on it for about 7 months trying to conform my actions to this scripture.

People do all sorts of things to exalt themselves above other people.  The apostle told us Jesus didn't do that and for us to have the "same mind" Jesus had, making ourselves of "no reputation" ...

I stopped playing bridge where the entire goal is to beat everyone else in the room.  Even when I played bridge I often thought, "Would Jesus or Paul be doing this."  My answer was, "Of course not."  They wouldn't be trying to beat other people and exalt themselves.  I stopped forever.

It was meditating in this scripture that gave me the direction I took and gave me the power to stop.

For the next 7 months I just sat alone at my house in Lubbock.  I knew there was no place for me to go and nothing for me to do.  At the end of 7 months, God gave me a dream to show me to go on Internet and do exhortations.  Within 3 days of the dream, we were publishing on Internet.  (Started last week in March, 2012)

At this point in time, I don't think I'm doing anything at all to exalt myself.  Often when I write these exhortations people hate and despise me because of that which I write.  That is the way the real word of God is.  It is a cross.  It often brings shame to the person who speaks it or writes it.
========

One of the first things God taught me back in 1975 was meditating on the Word HE gave me so I would have strength and courage to do what HE wanted me to do ... and also that in doing that, I would prosper everywhere I went ... and this happened!  (prosper means to have good success)

This form of meditation is eating the flesh of Jesus and drinking the blood of Jesus.

Jesus said:  Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
 John 6:53

Examples of Meditating in Word given by God:

Meditation:    Joan Boney

Psalm 1 ... Nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful ...

scornful implies attitude of contempt ... and haughty rejection of or refusal ... arrogantly superior & disdainful ...

Cousin ... dream about her ... she refused to hear you ... another woman was behind her ...

Leave her alone ... God has shown it will not work to try with her.

Sound equipment ... "It will work"  (word from Spirit about this)

CW ... She doesn't forgive ... she lies in wait to get even ... she loves money ... "easy money" she says

Child of neighbor ... "You must be very rich to live in that house." Shows what parents are saying about you.  They love money.

Worker ... "Do you live in this big house all alone?" ... covetousness

Meditation:  Joan Boney

Psalm 124 ... Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth. 7Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped. 8Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

Pay attention to what they say ... thorns & thistles ... puncture you with their "teeth", with their words ... Flee ... escape from them ... they entangle you with their words ... don't try to teach them ...

I Cor. 15:33 ... Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

Mt. 12 ... for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

Listen to what they say!

Mt. 12 ... the tree is known by his fruit. 34O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. 35A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. 36But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 37For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Leave them alone when they show their fruit is evil.

Scripture: Shared by body of Christ

John 6:57 ... As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.

Exhortation:  (Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet)

How do you eat Jesus?

Jesus is "The Word".  To eat Jesus, we eat "The Word".  The flesh of Jesus is meat.  The blood of Jesus is drink.  Life is in the blood.  Strength is in meat.  The blood of Jesus is "The Word.  The flesh of Jesus is "The Word."

When we hear the Word spoken by the Spirit of God to us and we focus on that Word and we do that word in our lives and keep doing that Word in an appropriate way, we live by HIM, by that Word.

In August, 2011, I had the following brought to my attention by the Holy Spirit:

Phil. 2 ... Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7But made himself of no reputation,

I focused on making myself of no reputation.  (Humans do so many things to make themselves look good in the eyes of other men.)

After seven months, I was given a dream and shown to go on Internet and do these writings.

Blessings & curses

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Psa. 132 ... I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.  18His enemies will I clothe with shame: but upon himself shall his crown flourish.

Those chosen by God have a lamp ordained so they will walk through darkness but not in darkness.  The enemies of God will be dressed in shame.  Often their own perceived righteous acts are a garment of shame.  Sacrifice without the Spirit leading is a dressing in shame.  They go about doing things thinking it is the Spirit leading when it is not the Spirit but is another spirit, often religious a religious spirit, an angel of light as is Satan.  II Cor. 11:14 ... And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

A few days ago, a man thanked me for the messages and then couldn't wait to say he disagreed with the message about the "sabbath".  (Please read OT/NT Sabbath) ... I laughed when I saw this is what he disagreed with.  The NT sabbath is a continual ceasing from your own works.  I thought, "If he wants to do the OT sabbath he will have to sit all day in his "tent" doing nothing... no TV .. no cooking ... for this was the OT sabbath."  I doubt he really wants to do that.  But he is being led to sacrifice by one of those many religious spirits that work in humans.  Mt. 6:23 ... But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

This is the NT sabbath:  Heb. 4 ... Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. 2For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.   3For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. 4For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. 5And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest. 6Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:  7Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. 8For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.  9There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.  10For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest,

The symbol of the OT sabbath was ceasing from his works as God did from HIS works.

Sabbath is simply a ceasing from your own works.  In the NT we do this daily.  Every day is a sabbath to God for every day we, who belong to God, try to follow God ceasing from our own ideas, ceasing from our own works.  We enter into God's rest each time we commit a concern to God and rest in HIM.   Trusting God and a fear of God are both entering into HIS rest.

But upon the chosen of God, God puts HIS crown ...and that crown flourishes!

Love of money

Pam Padgett ... teacher

1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Evil resulting from love of money became evident while I was dealing recently with a sound processor.  I purchased a 502 processor like the one Joan purchased.  Joan's was installed first, and she found problems with it that couldn't be resolved.   The man we purchased the 502s from, David, offered to give us credit toward another processor if we would pay a few thousand dollars more.  Although I had the additional money in savings, I didn't want to spend itI kept looking for another way around this.  One option I thought of was to try to sell the 502 for more money than I had paid for it to offset the additional money I would need to spend on the other processor.  But each time I thought of listing it for sale regardless of price, I couldn't do it, not wanting to sell something that someone else might find to be a problem.  I found myself going "round in circles", not knowing how to deal with this.  I cried out to God for help.

When Joan called and asked if I had ordered the other processor yet, she told me how critical she felt it was to move on this immediately.  And Joan reminded me of a woman in our church group whose husband wanted more money for their house than was offered by a potential buyer.  This woman was given  Proverbs 15:27 ... He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; but he that hateth gifts shall live.  They sold their house at the lower price shortly before the housing market took a sharp downturn.

I immediately saw that the way God was providing for me was to pay the additional money from my savings, buy the other processor, and let David deal with the 502. This is what I did.

While Joan and I were talking about this later, I admitted that I had been blocked by trying to keep my money, loving my money.  But I didn't want to tell that I had considered trying to sell the 502 for more than I had paid for it, wanting to hide how tightly I had tried to hold onto my money.  A few days later, however, the Holy Spirit kept bringing this to my mind and I told it.  Not only had I caused trouble and turmoil by my love of money, but had also entered into deception.

I'm grateful to God for helping me turn from these, providing ways of deliverance.

Scripture: Shared by body of Christ

John 6:63 ... It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Exhortation:  (Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet)

Today Jesus speaks to us by the Holy Spirit WHO dwells in each who are chosen by God.

The Holy Spirit is given to us so that we can know the will of God in the specific issues of this life.

We know truth by the Spirit of Truth, the Holy Spirit, so we would not be deceived by those who say Jesus is Lord while they misuse scripture and exalt themselves among us.

The flesh of man, the reasoning of man, profits nothing.  We learn to depend on God to show us what to do, to show us HIS will in the issues of this life.

The words Jesus speaks to us by HIS Spirit are truth and the way of life in the issue at hand.  We focus on that word spoken by Jesus to us through His Spirit.

Working of the Holy Spirit:

Jn. 14:26 ... But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Jn. 16:13 ... Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

When things break down

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

I've lived in this current house for 10 years.  Things break down.  Recently there was a problem flushing the commode in master bath.  It would flush but you had to hold the handle down for a considerable time to get it to work.  Obviously this was going to have to be fixed.  At the same time one of the ceiling fans quit working.  It could not be repaired and I had to buy a new ceiling fan.  Then I had to make arrangements to get the fan installed.  Two other things stopped working in the house at same time and I made arrangements to have them repaired.   I save money each month for repairs so I had money to pay the workers.  The problem was getting the workers to come to the house to do the job.  They would tell me they would be there and not show up.  One even said, "I will be there today but if something happens where I can't make it, I'll call you."  He didn't come to house and he didn't call.  I was not surprised for I've had a lot of experience with this subject.

I was reminded of the "rod of the wicked" (wicked is defined as one who causes you trouble or is likely to cause you trouble) and how this is a "rod of trouble" when a man says he will do something and does not do it.  And it can cause us to sin as we encounter their way of life which is "unjust" toward us.  When you promise something and fail to do such and fail to notify the person involved, that is "unjust" and one of the definitions of iniquity is unjust.

Psa. 125:3 ... For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.

When such happens to us, we need to try to remember to commit it all to God in prayer.  Their iniquity could cause us to sin unless we keep our flesh under control.  Also their unjust dealing could cause us to be hardened unless we turn to God.

Nevertheless we must keep our eyes open, being wise as serpents and harmless as doves ... when we deal with people of this world.  When we know they are likely to act this way, we do not want to deceive ourselves.

My contractor frequently tells me he will be over next week to take care of something and never shows up.  This is his pattern.  I do not expect him to show up.  I do not become angry or even grieved for this is just what happens.  If the problem is critical I will deal with it another way.  Many problems are important but not critical.  I have a place where my roof leaks.  But we don't have much rain in my area.  If I lived in Seattle I would consider this critical.  My contractor sent a man over and the man looked at it about 2 months ago and never came back.  I had occasion to speak with my contractor yesterday.  He mentioned that leak.  He said they would be over next week.  I doubt it.

This is just the way the world deals.  We can't control them.  We have to control us by turning to God in prayer.

People often lie to me.  They prove themselves to lie because they do not do what they say they will do.  They lead me to believe something will happen when it was never even planned.  This is way of people of this world.

Scripture: Shared by body of Christ

Proverbs 21:3 ... To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.

Exhortation:  (Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet)

James 1:27 ... Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction means to "judge" their situation.  If they need comfort we comfort.  If there is a physical need which we can provide, we provide it.  This is what it means to "visit".

And we keep ourselves unspotted from the world, going instead in the way the Spirit of God shows us.

Recnetly I was speaking with a man about a secular matter.  I almost spoke a lie.  But I stopped and held my tongue and ceased to speak.  The devil is the father of lies.  My father is God the creator of heaven and earth and the Father of Jesus Christ.

To do justice and judgment is to do that which is right in the sight of God in the situation.  We know that which is right because the Holy Spirit reveals the heart of God to us in the issue of this life.

I Cor. 2 ... Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: 7But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 8Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.   16For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Fun moment with Holy Spirit

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

I have a commode that is hard to flush.  Each time I try to flush it I have to hold the handle down for several seconds.  It has become more and more annoying to me.

I went into bath and it seemed it was taking even longer than usual to flush commode.  I was mumbling, fussing at commode.

Then I heard:  "Would you rather have an out-house?"

"NO!" ... I shouted!

The next day I called plumber.  The commode is now fixed!

When God turns our captivity

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

The children of Israel went into captivity because of their own sin.  But the time came when God delivered them.  In one place it was ordained by God they would be in Egypt for 400 years.  At the end of the appointed time God used Moses to lead them out of Egypt.  Another time they went into captivity 70 years.  Again God delivered them at the end of the appointed time.

Psa. 126

When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.  2Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.  3The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.
4Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south. 5They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

From time to time we also go into captivity because of our foolishness or sin.

I reported to you a few days ago a story of how I stepped into deception.  At first I didn't know what was going on.  I knew when I spoke with Kurt at Sound Wave I didn't want to disclose the truth.  But why didn't I want to disclose truth.  Later God showed me I had stepped into acting in a dissembling manner with this situation.  After I saw the truth I shared what I had done with you and sent a letter to Kurt telling him what I had done.

As long as we live in dissimulation it has a power over us.  When we speak truth about it, the power the lie once had is broken and it no longer has power over us.  To break the power of the devil, speak truth.

Psalm 125

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Psalm 125

They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever. 2As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever. 3For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.
4Do good, O LORD, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.

5As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.

This psalm starts with 3 promises from God.

- When we trust in God ... we will not be removed.  We will abide forever.
- The Lord is around HIS people forever.
- The rod of the wicked (those who cause trouble) will not rest upon the righteous ...If it did the righteous would end up putting forth their hands to do iniquity (Iniquity means:  immoral or unjust acts)

At the end of this psalm we are told those who turn aside from the way of God and go in opposite way will be led forth with the workers of iniquity.  They will not rest with the people of God who have chosen God's way.  Light and darkness do not co-exist.  If you choose to go in a way of darkness you will be with the other people of darkness.

Peace will be upon the people of God.  Certainly we will have trouble but in the trouble we turn to God and HE restores our soul and shows us what to do so though troubled briefly we enter back into peace and rest through that which God speaks by His Spirit.

Scripture: Shared by body of Christ

Psalm 23:1 ...  The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

Exhortation:  (Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet)

A shepherd takes care of the sheep.  The shepherd keeps the individual sheep from straying and from being in a position of danger.  The shepherd can see when the food is drying up and that shepherd will move the sheep before there is want.  The shepherd places the sheep in a position where there is food and good water.  So there is no want for the sheep.

The Lord (the WORD) is our shepherd.  The Word given by the Holy Spirit is life to us and light to us.  As we go in the way shown by the Word, we move from pasture to pasture where we fine both good food and water and we free ourselves from the various fleshly traps of this present life.

And so it is with each of us who have the Spirit of Jesus and are led by that Spirit.

We just eat, drink, sleep and rest in that which the Spirit of God has told us about the issue at hand.

Casting out devils

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Jesus said ... Mt. 12 ... When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. 44Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. 45Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

When a devil is cast out of a person it is important that this person know how to fight ... how to resist the devil ... otherwise that devil will move back into that person and bring friends with him and the last state of that man will be worse than the first.

Scripture: Shared by body of Christ

John 7:18 ... 18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.

Exhortation:  (Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet)

Many speak of their own ideas, from their own thinking.  These men and women seek their own glory.  They seem so wise in their own eyes.  They can't wait to share with others those things they have come up with by their own flesh.

But when a person is really of God, that person speaks that which God reveals to him by the Spirit of God.  And when we do this, we have no reason to glory in that which we speak for we know it was not ourselves who came up with these things but it was from God.  So the glory is in God and not in ourselves when we speak.

And we are careful to prove all things and not just assume everything that comes to our mind is of God for we know other spirits that are not of God also speak to us and bring ideas to us.  So we turn to God committing those ideas to God asking HIM to confirm them if they are from him.  We do not want to speak unless it is of God.  We are very careful to "try the spirits" through prayer.  Also we consider that which we have heard and look at various verses in Bible to see if what we have heard is true, but even in doing this we allow the Holy Spirit to lead us by reminding us of the appropriate verses to consider.

I've always had a great fear concerning scripture.  I have an understanding that scripture is the Word of God and I do not want to mishandle scripture nor add to it nor take away from it for it is the Word of God HIMSELF.

I find those persons who misuse scripture have no real grief when someone confronts them with their misuse of scripture.  I would be horrified and deeply grieved to do such.  I am very careful in use of scripture for it is the Word of God.

Deception

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Last night I was talking with Pam Padgett and something was revealed to me that I want to share with you.

A couple of weeks ago, I was speaking with Kurt from a business in Lubbock called Sound Wave.  As I spoke I saw I didn't want to reveal the truth to Kurt concerning the sound processor I had bought.  Two or three times during the conversation I found myself trying to say things which would present an incorrect picture.  I didn't know why this was happening.

Last night God opened my eyes to see what happened.

My sound processor was going out.  I knew I had to make another selection.  Without the sound processor there is no picture at all on my TV screen which is a monitor.

In trying to make a decision as to what to buy, I arranged to try out a processor from Sound Wave.  They would bring the processor to my home to audition and I would pay the hourly wage for the installer.

One hour before the processor was delivered my sound guy who lives 450 miles away sent me an email saying I could get a Krell for 3K more (with trade in of 502 processor) than the machine I was about to try out and the Krell is a significantly higher level machine.  I knew that was true.  I told him I wanted to do that.

What I should done then is to call Sound Wave and cancel the audition and tell them I had decided to buy another product.

But I did not cancel.  Though I was no longer interested in their product I let them bring it to my house. (deception:  pretending I was a serious buyer when I was not going to buy the product)  I reasoned wrongly that what I was doing would not hurt Sound Wave because I was paying them by the hour for the time they were at my house.  The problem was, I entered into deception by pretending I was considering buying their product when I had already written out a check and mailed that check to David for the Krell.  It was after this that I found myself trying to withhold truth from Kurt at Sound Wave.

Now I see what I did wrong!  Praise God that HE allows us to see our sins so we can be saved from our sins.

Deceiving and being deceived ...

===========================

Letter mailed to Kurt & Patrick at Sound Wave

8-21-13

Kurt & Patrick:

About an hour before Patrick arrived at my house to set up the Classe, I received an email from David (sound guy in Tyler).  David offered me $14,000 (which is the full price I paid for Levinson 502 processor)  which I had purchased and found unsatisfactory in video processing.  David said for about 3K more and the 502 trade in, I could buy a Krell 707 processor from him.

I knew of the Krell but had never considered it because of the cost.

I wanted to do this.

I should have called and cancelled the Classe audition but I reasoned wrongly that I was paying for the time Patrick would be at my house and it wouldn’t hurt you financially.

However by entering into deception this way, it hurt me. By the time Patrick arrived at my house with the Classe for me to try, I had already committed to David to buy that Krell 707 and trade in the 502 which I had planned to sell.

I didn’t see what I had done until tonight.

I just wanted to tell you I’m sorry.

I have bought the Krell 707.

I appreciate all you have done for me through the years.

Care in what you speak

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Yesterday I went to eat and then to grocery.  When I returned to house, my cleaning woman was working in kitchen and I almost told her how much more expensive things are now ... but I remembered a scripture exhorting us to speak things that bring glory to God.  Had I said what I almost said, it would not have brought glory to God ... it would have caused fear.  We do not want to cause a person to fear unnecessarily.

Eph. 4:29 ... Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

God defined "grace" to me as "a feeling of gratitude to God".

Later my cleaning woman was speaking of someone she knew she should not work for but she said it was "easy money."  She kept working for this woman and some items were stolen from this woman's house and she was one of two people who had the combination to the security system so she was a suspect.  She said before this happened she knew if she kept working for this woman she would be in danger if anything went missing but she said it was "easy money" ... Twice she spoke of easy money.

I knew it was very good that I did not speak of how much groceries have increased in price for that would cause her fleshly trouble.

James 1:26 ... If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.

We need to be very careful in those things we say to others.  We do not want to trouble anyone unnecessarily.  Often we have to bridle our tongue.

Jesus said ... Mt. 12 ... But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 37For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

In the day of judgment, each of us will answer for what we say on this present earth ... whether it be good or bad.

Scripture: Shared by body of Christ

Hosea 14:9 ... 9 Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the Lord are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.

Exhortation:  (Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet)

I meet so many people who say "Jesus is Lord" and they say they are of God and they have a form of being a Christian, but they prove themselves not to have the Spirit of God and they have no understanding of the things of God, though they have a form of godliness.

Paul said this would happen in the last days.  Paul said the times would be filled with peril because of them.

II Tim. 3 ... This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,  4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

When I see that person who has "a form of godliness" but comes failing to understand when I speak to him and being always a little off, I know this person is not of God though he says he is of God.  I just turn away from him and have no more to do with him as Paul said to act.

Through many years of hard experience I have learned this.  I cannot make a person understand.  If he understands he is of God for God gives understanding.  If he does not understand when I speak things of God and he is full of questions and tried to ask me to explain, then this is a man who is not turning to God for his faith is not in God but is in man.  There is nothing I can do in such a case.  So I just turn away from him.

Paul speaking to Timothy said:  II Tim. 2:7 ... Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.

Recently a young man read something I wrote and then he said to me: " I want to ask you a couple of questions."

I tried to stop him.  I replied:  "NO ... ask God if you do not understand.  Understanding is from God."

Even after that he tried on another occasion to ask me questions about scripture and what I had written.

Paul makes it clear ... He said to Timothy, "Consider what I say" ... Think about what I say.  Pray about it.  But know that it is the Lord who gives you understanding about what I say.

I try to report that which the Holy Spirit speaks to me.  But only God can give you understanding of what I write.

Jesus experienced this when they couldn't understand what He said to them.  And Jesus replied:  Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. 44Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.  45And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.
Jn. 8

Peril in the last days

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

II Tim.

One of the things Paul said would happen to cause the peril is blasphemy.

Blasphemy is defined as:  speaking irreverently about God or sacred things.

Ministers often do this when they take up offerings.  They often use scriptures to pry money from people making people feel guilty if they do not give.  They misuse that 100-fold return scripture to reach covetous people in the congregation making them think if they give they will get 100-fold return for their money.  That scripture has nothing at all to do with giving offerings.  That scripture pertains to those called by God who follow God giving up people and things on this earth to do the will of God.  Mt. 19 ... Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore? 28And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

When you misuse the word of God this way, you cause blasphemy against the word of God for you cause some to hate the word of God when it does not come to pass as described by the minister, and you cause others to mock the word of God when it does not come to pass as described by the minister.

Any misuse of the word of God is blasphemy against the word of God.

It is a fearful thing to handle the word of God.

We who are of God cherish the word of God.  We are very careful in the way we use the word of God so the Word is honored by all.

These ministers who misuse the word of God for their own gain put themselves into terrible positions and will come to a fearful end.

Scripture: Shared by body of Christ

Proverbs 24:5-6 ... 5 A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength. 6 For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.

Exhortation:  (Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet)

When we seek counsel from God, we put ourselves in a position to receive "wise counsel".

God may choose to answer us by HIS Spirit ... or God might send wise counsel by another person ...

But always prayer about the matter, seeking the counsel from God is the first step.

If we need counsel, and belong to God, HE will see that we get what we need for God supplies all our need.  Phil. 4:19

Recently, I began having trouble with the sound processor which runs the TV and sound.  At the time, I had opportunity to buy a very well known processor at a huge reduction in price.  I purchased that processor (called a 502).  They installed it and immediately I told the installer the picture was not good.  He tried something but the picture remained a problem.  They tried many things but none of them worked.  The dealer offered to give me credit for the amount paid for the processor or to try and sell the 502 and give me a cash refund if it sold.

After this, I arranged to have another much lower level processor installed at my house on an audition basis to see how it worked with my speakers and cables.  One hour before the processor was delivered, my sound guy sent email telling me for 3K more I could get a very high end processor which would be a great deal better than the one I was about to audition.  I knew immediately what to do.  I listened to the audition machine but sent it back to the store that day with the installer.  I sent a check that day to David and bought the machine he told me about.  The previous day I had that same machine called to my attention.  It was a close call, one hour, but I believe it will work well for me in my situation.  I had prayed so much after having trouble with the 502.  I believe God shifted me to the processor I ended up buying.

James 1:5 ... If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

In last days, they will be "fierce"

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

The apostle Paul spoke of the perils we would face in the last days ... These perils are in the church itself.  Paul said they would have a form of godliness ... they would look godly.  Paul spoke of what they will be like.

II Tim.

One of the things they will be is "fierce" ... this is church types being fierce against us, especially when we carry truth to them ...

Fierce means: like wild animals ... snarling ... teeth showing ... attempting to get at us to hurt us ...

I encounter this often with church people when I bring godly correction ...

Examples:

My cousin, who has attended Church of Christ denomination all her life and is in her early 90's now ... She called me and as usual spoke all type of complaints showing she had not taken her various problems to God in prayer ... She has always been a very negative person.  But even a person negative will not remain negative when he takes the issue to God in prayer and settles that issue with God.  She doesn't have much time left on this earth to overcome.

She wanted me to come visit her.  She lives about 200 miles away.  I told her I couldn't make that trip in my 20-year-old car.  But I offered to rent a car and come see her if she wanted to talk about spiritual things.  It wouldn't be profitable to just talk about fleshly things, I told her.

She responded in fury!  (fierce)  ... I was amazed at how angry she was in her letter ... She said:  "It is evident you care nothing at all about your relatives ... I remember when you were a little girl with curly hair ..."  I did not continue reading her letter.  I did respond as follows:  "I'm sorry you misunderstood.  I just wanted you to be able to overcome on this earth by going to God in prayer."  (I sent her some writings on overcoming through prayer)  I heard no more from her.

But there was a fierceness ... wanting to strike at me and hurt me and condemn me.

Another example:  A young man came to my house concerning a secular matter but he quickly began to quote scripture.  He knew a lot of scripture.  I was very excited to find someone who knew scripture.  But then he began to misquote scripture, adding fleshly things to the scripture.  I looked this up in Bible and showed him what he was doing.  Over and over, he kept saying things concerning scripture, grieving me over his misuse and mishandling of the word of God.  I saw this young man was a false teacher.  A person who uses scripture falsely is a false teacher.  This is what a false teacher does.

He wanted me to work with him ... even correcting what he wrote.  I told him I would not do this.  He was then furious.  Prior to my saying this, he said he was so happy to meet a "godly woman", meaning me.  Then when I refused to do what he wanted he attacked me in a very ferocious way.  He said:  "You've forgotten the cross."  He did this to hurt me, to show me to be in the wrong ... it was a fierce attack against me.

I turned to God ... and was reminded that I die daily as I speak those messages that I know evil doers in the church groups will despise.  I know they will attack me as they attacked Jesus and Paul and as they attack anyone who speaks real truth from God... They are fierce against us, deliberately trying to hurt us.  I was reminded of how I am crucified with Christ (the Word).  I was reminded of the way I made myself of no reputation as Paul told us to do (Phil. 2) and how hard I worked at making myself of no reputation on this earth.  For more than seven months I focused on this.  And I stopped everything that would be an earthly achievement to me personally.  I was reminded of how I have given up "all" to do the word of God.  This is the cross!  This young man is a fool to strike out at me this way.  But this is what they do in the last days.  And it is all inside the church with those who call themselves Christians.  They will be fierce in the last days, says Paul ... and they are fierce.

Helped by God

Pam Padgett ... teacher

For the past few weeks I haven't had much energy and had trouble focusing on things, kind of like being in a fog.  I thought various things may be causing these problems, but each proved not to be the case.  As possible reasons for the tiredness and trouble focusing were excluded, thoughts about some kind of serious problem came.

Then I remembered to turn very to God and ask HIM about this.  As I prayed, I kept having the thought "allergies".  I started taking some allergy medicine, and am feeling much better now.

Looking back, I had stopped taking allergy medicine shortly before the tiredness started because the allergy symptoms I recognized (sneezing and watery eyes) had stopped.  Obviously, I am still affected by allergies even though I didn't know it.  But even something as small as this is not hidden from God, who knows everything about us and cares for us.

Scripture: Shared by body of Christ

Psalm 93:5 ... 5 Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine house, O Lord, for ever.

Exhortation:  (Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet)

That which God says to us about the matter at hand "is very sure" ... true.

God has given me several dreams about individuals to show me what they are doing.  That information is "very sure".  God often speaks to me by HIS Spirit to show me what to do.  That information is "very sure".

We can build up faith when we stop and think of specific times God has shown us something by HIS Spirit and it has come to pass.

When I was building this house I had the following dream: I was looking out kitchen window and a meteor was standing outside the window.  It was just hovering there.  Then it lifted and went over the top of the house.  I expected it to explode and destroy both me and the house but it did not.  It did nothing at all.

Toward the end of construction the contractor informed me the house had gone over budget.  I told him to put it up for sale immediately.  He refused to do this.  He finished the house.

During that time, the Holy Spirit spoke the following to me:  Isaiah 65 ... And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. 22They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.  23They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them. 24And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

I did not ask, a woman in our church group came forward and offered to loan me the money to pay for the extra construction cost.  Within 6 months I had repaid her.

The contractor reduced the price of the construction by $15,000.  I did not ask him to do that.  He just did it.  After repaying the loan I began repaying the contractor although he did not expect me to repay him.  With 6 months, I had repaid the contractor also.

The dream and the scripture given me on this matter both came to pass and I am living in this house now, 10 years after construction.

Notice also in Isaiah 65:24, God says: And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer;  When the contractor told me of the problem I did not ask God for help I just told the contractor to put the house up for sale.  There wasn't any way I could get the extra money.  So the only way out was to sell the house.  Even before I talked to God about the problem, God had talked to the woman in our church group and put it on her heart to help me.  By dream and scripture (Isaiah 65), God showed me I would live in this house I had built.

We who belong to God are separated to God.  That is "holiness".

One of the perils of the end times

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Paul said ... II Tim 3

One of the perils Paul spoke of was "incontinent" ...

That means: without restraint

An example of this is the young woman who was correcting the church while she was committing fornication.  When I expressed horror to her at what she dared to do, she replied:  "Was what I wrote too personal?"

This is an example of a woman without restraint ... incontinent.

We see this constantly in the world.  Horrible examples appear on TV of lack of restraint.  It seems it is getting worse.

But this lack of restraint is in the church.  And in II Tim. 2, Paul was writing about the church for he said they would have a "form of godliness" v. 5.

This is just one of the perils of the last days.

Scripture: Shared by body of Christ

Hosea 12:13 ... And by a prophet the Lord brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved.

Exhortation:  (Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet)

God gave me the above scripture to show me the primary way HE uses prophet in both the OT and NT church.

Egypt is a symbol of bondage and affliction.

Often a person is trapped in something and needs to be freed and can't seem to see.  When this is the case, God might choose to send a prophet to help that person get free.  This happened recently in a very twisted trap that Pam Padgett was entangled in concerning a sound processor.

Pam had purchased a 502 processor which turned out to be defective in transporting a picture to her video screen.  The dealer offered to move her up to another high end brand for $4600 and to let Pam trade her 505 for the other brand.  This was a way of escape.  But Pam wasn't moving on this way of escape.  I began to be troubled.  I called her immediately.  She had become paralyzed and couldn't move. As I spoke with her she finally awoke and got her checkbook and ordered the other brand freeing herself.  This is one way God uses prophets.

God sounds warnings to the church through the mouth of HIS prophets ...Prophets are used by God to help people to get out of traps and also to warn the people of God so they will not fall into a trap.  The current warning trumpet being sounded concerns deception in the church.  This is part of the end time signs.

Please read:  What is the sign of the second coming of Jesus?

God saved by using real prophet & God destroyed by using false prophet

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

God saved Ninevah by sending a prophet to warn them ... Jonah 1 ... Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,  2Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.

As we know, Jonah fled from God.  But God created circumstances to cause Jonah to obey HIM.

Jonah 3 ...And the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the second time, saying, 2Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee. 3So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the LORD. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days’ journey.  4And Jonah began to enter into the city a day’s journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.
5So the people of Nineveh believed God,

...And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.

God used a prophet to preach a message that would cause them to turn that they would be saved from their destruction.

In another case, God used a lying prophet to cause Ahab to be destroyed ...

II Kings 22 ... And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner.  21And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him. 22And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so. 23Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee.

Ahab followed the advise of the lying spirit in the false prophets and went up into battle and was killed in the battle.

Scripture: Shared by body of Christ

Psalm 94:22 ... But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

Exhortation:  (Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet)

Sometimes we will do something and it just isn't working out.  If we have prayed before we bought the item or did the action and if we were reminded of a scripture after praying or a dream and we followed the direction we believe to have been from God, then we have both "defense" and "refuge" in that which God showed us as a result of our prayer on the matter.  If we forgot to pray and things went really wrong, I have found that God still rescues me!

Recently this happened to me as I changed a sound processor. Pam and I received a very good deal on two sound processors.  The sound was excellent but there was a flaw built into the machine.  The video part of the machine did not have current HDMI and the picture was defective.  My sound guy offered to take it in at full price paid toward another machine.  The second machine was going to cost more but to me it was the way of escape.  I could easily afford to upgrade and it was a way out of the troublesome machine so this is way I went and Pam did also.  I felt God made the way of escape for us.  We didn't lose any money, we got rid of the defective machine, and we upgraded to a machine that should really do what we want.

As we were working through this problem the secular saying, throwing good money after bad, came up.

But to throw good money after bad would have been to spend money on a defective product to try to fix the product.  To spend money to get away from the defective product was another matter.

================

Another example of God being my refuge ...

Many years ago, I went to college to train as a teacher.  A teacher would most often think people you teach can be helped by your instruction.

But then I was called to be a minister.  And God began teaching me another direction in spiritual matters.  You can explain with great skill but unless God opens the eyes of the person  you are teaching and unless God gives the person understanding your repeated teachings will not prevail.

Jesus spoke in parables and those who were of God saw and God gave them understanding.  But the others did not see.  Mk 4 ... And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: 12That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.

We can speak the word given us by God but we cannot make them understand.  Understanding comes from God.  And if God chooses to open their eyes, their eyes are opened. Nevertheless it is our job to speak what God gives and God will do according to His will.  God saves and God destroys.

Mt.

God revealed this truth to Peter.  God opened Peter's eyes to understand the truth.  This showed also that Peter was of God. But there were many who did not understand the words spoken by Jesus and the disciples.  When this happened, they just moved on to other people.  They didn't keep trying to make a person understand.  Jesus even said the following to the Pharisees ... Jn. 8 ... Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.

We speak the word and when the person does not understand, we move on ... To stay and try to teach that person would be futile.  Understanding is of God and we cannot make them understand what we say by more teaching.  So we go speak to someone else.  If God gives understanding that person will understand.

God opened the eyes of Paul to understand.  No man can make another understand things of God.  It is only God who can cause a person to see spiritual things.

Several years ago I was given this dream: I checked into a hotel and was taken to my room.  When the door to the room opened I was shocked.  The room was a mess.  The bed hadn't been made.  Towels were scattered about.  I went downstairs to the desk and explained that my room had not been cleaned.  I expected them to take action immediately to get the room in order but they did nothing.
