2 Timothy 1:7 ... For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Exhortation: (Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet)
When we belong to God, when HE reveals Himself to us, He gives us His Spirit, the Holy Spirit. This changes everything. The Holy Spirit now lives inside us and leads us according to the will of God. The Holy Spirit is "The Comforter" ... "The Spirit of Truth"
We are transformed from an unsound mind (a mind based on the thinking of this present world and ruled by the flesh of man and the desires of man) to a sound mind through the Spirit of Truth on all things.
The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, lives in us now.
Acts 1 ... Jesus told his disciples, after the crucifixion, to remain in Jerusalem until they received power. That power was the Holy Spirit that would fall upon them at Pentecost.
Jesus said ... Acts 1:8 ... But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
4 things the Holy Spirit does:
- guides us into all truth
- reminds us of everything Jesus has said
- teaches us all things
- shows us things to come
Jn. 14:26 ... But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Jn. 16:13 ... Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
