Scripture: Shared by body of Christ

Isaiah 26:20 ... Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.

Exhortation:  (Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet)

As a prophet, often I have had to do the above scripture.  Prophets deliver messages of correction to the church.  We often bring correction to ministers.  And we bring correction to people in the congregation.  Wrong doers often get angry because of the message and strike out at us.

In the Old Testament, God gave an assignment to a prophet and then told the prophet to flee after he did the assignment.  II Kings 9 ... And Elisha the prophet called one of the children of the prophets, and said unto him, Gird up thy loins, and take this box of oil in thine hand, and go to Ramothgilead: 2And when thou comest thither, look out there Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in, and make him arise up from among his brethren, and carry him to an inner chamber;  3Then take the box of oil, and pour it on his head, and say, Thus saith the LORD, I have anointed thee king over Israel. Then open the door, and flee, and tarry not.

In Isaiah 26:20, that word "indignation" is very interesting ...  They are often "indignant" over the message we present.  They think us to be unjust in the message... unfair ...According to my dictionary, "indignation" means to consider the action to be unjust or unfair.

Recently a woman told me she thought God was unfair in something HE did in the Bible.  What a foolish woman this woman is!  We may not understand what God did but to call God "unjust" is an incredible thing to do.  To do such a thing is to exalt yourself above God and to judge God.

There are times I do not understand God's decision in the OT but I know God is just, I just lack understanding and sometimes later God will help me to understand.  But I never call God unjust nor unfair.

They often call us unjust and unfair when we deliver a message from God.  And often I have to flee and not answer my phone and not open their emails.  Let them consult God if they can.  If they turn to God with their questions, HE will likely answer them and give them understanding if they belong to Him.  Most do not turn to God asking Him about the messages we deliver.  They just judge us to be wrong and often try to attack us over the message we have heard from God.
