Instruction in Righteousness: II Peter 3

This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:

2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:

3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

4 And saying, Where is the promise of His coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:

6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

(We will never have righteousness on this present earth ... Righteousness will be in the new heaven and the new earth.  On this earth, what the apostle Paul said, will happen:  "Evil men and seducers will wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived."  II Timothy 3)

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of Him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

The Apostasy in the Churches Today ... Antichrist at Work inside the Church Groups

Book:  Prayer To God
Chapter 5
Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Since 1982, I have looked for a church to attend in the various cities where I have lived.

Without exception, in each church I visited, I found pastors twisting scripture and doctrines and when I went to pastors to show such scripture (as I always did)without exception pastors became angry with me and showed no shame in misusing the scripture.

It was never possible to attend a church group because of this.

I grieved much over these things until I saw this is the apostasy that the apostle Paul said had to happen before Jesus could return.

*****

Paul says:

II Thess. 2  (NASB)

Let no one in any way deceive you, for it (the day of the Lord) will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.

Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things?

And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only HE (The Word) who now restrains will do so until HE (The Word) is taken out of the way.

Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming;  that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved.

For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.

*****

That which restrained antichrist was the Holy Scriptures.

When the churches removed certain scriptures or portions of scripture the restraint against the "man of lawlessness" was removed with the scriptures for scripture was all that was holding the lawlessness back in the churches.

Scripture is THE WORD OF GOD ... Jesus ...

In the 1990's, I was looking for a church to attend.

I visited a small non-denominational church on a Wednesday night service. The pastor was teaching. He began speaking of John 8, where the woman taken in adultery was brought to Jesus.

The pastor said, "And when she was brought to Jesus, she was naked from the waist up."

I was very shocked!

Immediately I took my Bible and turned to John 8, though I have read this many times. I re-read John 8 concerning this passage.

*****

Jn. 8 ... Jesus went unto the mount of Olives. And early in the morning HE came again into the temple, and all the people came unto HIM; and HE sat down, and taught them.

And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto HIM a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, They say unto HIM,

Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest THOU?

This they said, tempting HIM, that they might have to accuse HIM.

But Jesus stooped down, and with HIS finger wrote on the ground, as though HE heard them not.

So when they continued asking HIM, HE lifted up HIMSELF, and said unto them,

He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

And again HE stooped down, and wrote on the ground.

And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

When Jesus had lifted up HIMSELF, and saw none but the woman, HE said unto her

Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?

She said, No man, Lord.

And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee:

Go, and sin no more

There were about 200 people in the congregation that night.

I looked around the room and I didn’t see anyone in the room pick up a Bible to see if what pastor spoke was truth.

The people in the church group who heard this from pastor just sat there with big smiles on their faces “loving” the man who spoke these things.

These are the corpses in the church in the poison gas dream.

Poison Gas Dream

In 1979, God gave me the following terrifying dream:

A meeting was going on. A man was speaking to a room filled with people. I went in and began to listen.

A second man rushed in and said: "Stop ... Wait ... Can't you see ... It's too late ... It's already begun."

The first man resumed speaking.

I looked out the window to see what had "already begun."

There was a tall pole with a yellow civil defense speaker at top of the pole. A gas was coming out of the speaker. I knew it was poisonous and would kill the people. It was coming directly toward us!

The shocking thing was the speaker that was set there for the purpose of warning us was being used as the instrument which dispersed the gas that was poison and would kill us!

I looked at the man seated next to me. He had a big grin on his face and was looking directly at the man who was speaking to the group. But then I saw this man was a corpse, though he looked alive. He was already dead!

I looked about the room at the other people and realized they were all dead.

As I sat back in my chair and listened to the man speaking I began to feel sleepy and I knew as I sat there among them this was killing me too.

God was showing me the anarchy that was already going on in our church groups

The next day, I called this pastor. I told him I visited his service. I asked him where it is in Bible saying the woman was naked from waist up. I couldn't find this, I told him.

First he said he couldn't recall where it was in Bible.

Then I told him it was very important to me and I asked him to please find that scripture and have his secretary call me with that reference.

With this, pastor became very angry and said:

"All right ... it's not in the Bible ... Where do you go to church?" (Trying to accuse me.)

In trying to find church group to attend, one Sunday morning I visited a non-denominational group.

Pastor was teaching from Genesis. As he taught, pastor said, "Sarah and Hagar were 1/2 sisters."

I was very shocked.

Never before had I read that in Bible. I checked Bible and couldn't find that in Bible.

But thinking maybe it was there and I somehow missed it, I called and spoke with that pastor.

I asked him where that is in Bible.

Pastor became very angry when I asked this.

He finally admitted it is not in the Bible. But he showed no shame in teaching this.

Another thing that happened that morning at that church ... It was the Sunday school period and everyone gathered in the main auditorium before going to their Sunday school classes.

Pastor said: "A terrible thing has happened ... the train that was bringing the Sunday school teachings was delayed and the teaching booklets did not arrive. Therefore you teachers are just going to have to teach today from the Bible."

I was delighted that the train failed to come and they would have to use the Bible instead of the teaching of men.

I was looking for a church group to attend. I called and spoke with pastor at a non-denominational church called "Potter's House." (Clovis, NM, USA) I told the pastor I was considering coming to visit at his church and I was looking for a church to attend. Pastor said he would come to my house and talk with me about his church.

I can't recall what pastor said when he came to see me. I just spoke freely by the Holy Spirit.

I was planning to visit his church the next Sunday. I bought an appropriate dress to wear. And I was very excited over getting to go to a church group.

On Friday of that week, I received a phone call from the pastor.

He said: "You know that thing about your coming to our church. I've decided that I don't want you to come to our church."

I was shocked!

(There was no plan to speak at his church. I was just going to listen as other people in congregation listen.)

A few days after this, my doorbell rang. It was a group of young people from "Potter's House". They had literature and had obviously been touring my neighborhood inviting people to come to their church.

They handed me their literature and invited me to come to their church.

I told them their pastor asked me not to come to their church.

They were bewildered. Without another word, they left my house.

*****

When I was on radio, I received a strange letter from a pastor in Colorado. (One of my radio stations at that time was in Denver.)

In his letter, pastor said: "Don't ever try to come to our church."

I'd never even heard of him or his church ...

*****

Another pastor told me he was not going to stand in the church door and keep me out but he didn't want me to come to his church.

Certainly I didn't try to force my way in. I've never done such a thing.

I was on radio warning the church in the area where he was located.

In trying to find a church I could attend, I visited a Baptist church on a Sunday morning and again that Sunday night.

That morning some things happened which I knew were wrong.  Again that evening things were wrong. I began feeling worse and worse as I visited that church.

After the Sunday night service, I told pastor I felt I needed to speak with him and asked if I could make appointment.

He said he had time to speak to me that night if I wanted to do so. I did want to. So we went into his office.

I told him I had been in the morning service, and of course I was there in the evening service.

In the morning service, they turned the service over to the youth group who had just returned from a Baptist retreat.

A young man (high school age) spoke to the congregation. He said he had a film to show us of their retreat. He began the film.

In the film, girls were running about with hair curlers in hair. Boys were slapping each other and the various girls on rear end with towels. Boys were doing boy things. No scripture was ever quoted. Nothing of Bible was mentioned. Nothing of God was mentioned. The film was just teenagers acting like teenagers.

My dad's 1/2 brother's wife was a member of that church group and was at those services and sat by me. She said to me as they played that film, "I could do without this."

I told the pastor that when we gather as the church Paul said everything should be done to edification.  (I Cor. 14)

Pastor said: "Well ... I liked seeing it."

Also at that service pastor quoted the following scripture:

Mt. 17 ... this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

But the way pastor presented this scripture was by saying, "This kind goest not out but by prayer."

As I sat there and heard him say this, I quietly said, "and fasting."

(nobody could hear me say this except for Aline who sat next to me.)

The pastor kept speaking ... and amazingly again he quoted this same scripture but he said again, "This kind goest not out but by prayer."

(as I quietly added "and fasting" Aline joined me in quietly saying, "and fasting.")

Pastor kept speaking and once again he quoted this scripture as follows: "This kind goest not out but by prayer."

(Aline and I both together quietly said: "and fasting".)

I pointed this out to that pastor.

He became very angry and replied:

"I've been doing this 23 years and I know exactly what I am doing."

(What pastor was doing was taking away from the word of God.)

I said: "I think I've said all to you that I need to say."

I got up and left, never to return again to that group.

*****

One Sunday morning, I decided to visit a Church of Christ group.

I was looking for a church to attend.

It was Sunday school class of about 8 or 9 adults and pastor was teaching.

He was in Heb. 11 and quoted the following scripture:

By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

After reading this scripture, pastor asked: "Did Noah really condemn the world?"

I replied, "Yes ... because Noah obeyed God and because of this obedience the world was condemned because they did not believe God and they did not obey God.”

There was dead silence from pastor and the 8 or 9 people in the room.

No one wanted to speak to me after that.

I didn't return to that group.

*****

At one point in hunting a church group to attend I decided to go to a small Assembly of God group.

But before going I called the pastor and met with him. I can't recall anything either of us said.

On that Sunday morning after meeting with the pastor, I did attend his group.

Pastor was so terrified of me that I could tell he was afraid to speak.

He just read from a prepared sheet of paper and quoted scripture. I felt pastor was trying to play it safe. But in doing such, you leave faith in God and quench the Spirit of God.

On the wall of the assembly room, there was hanging a picture of a long haired man. It is that picture that many use and call "Jesus". It is not a picture of Jesus. There are no photos of Jesus. There were no cameras at that time. It is just a human pretending to be Jesus.

I did call this pastor and told him it would be good to take down this photo for it is a form of "graven image" and it is also false since there were no cameras in Jesus' day.

I don't recall pastor responding.

Deut. 7 ... But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire. For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto HIMSELF, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

Deut. 7 ... The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therein: for it is an abomination to the LORD thy God. Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.

Deut. 12 ... And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place. Ye shall not do so unto the LORD your God.

II Kings 17 ... And the covenant that I have made with you ye shall not forget; neither shall ye fear other gods. But the LORD your God (The Word) ye shall fear; and HE (The Word) shall deliver you out of the hand of all your enemies. Howbeit they did not hearken, but they did after their former manner.  So these nations feared the LORD, and served their graven images, both their children, and their children’s children: as did their fathers, so do they unto this day.

II Chron. 34 ... And when he had broken down the altars and the groves, and had beaten the graven images into powder, and cut down all the idols throughout all the land of Israel, he returned to Jerusalem.

Psa. 78 ... For they provoked Him (God) to anger with their high places, and moved Him to jealousy with their graven images.

Psa. 97 ... Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship HIM (The Word), all ye gods.

Isa. 30 ... Ye shall defile also the covering of thy graven images of silver, and the ornament of thy molten images of gold: thou shalt cast them away as a menstruous cloth; thou shalt say unto it, Get thee hence.

Isa. 42 ... I am the LORD (The Word): that is MY name (The Word): and MY glory will I not give to another, neither MY praise to graven images.

Jere. 8 ... Why have they provoked ME (The Word) to anger with their graven images, and with strange vanities?

Jere. 50 ... A drought is upon her waters; and they shall be dried up: for it is the land of graven images, and they are mad upon their idols.

Jere. 51 ... Wherefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will do judgment upon her graven images: and through all her land the wounded shall groan.

Hosea 11 ... As they called them, so they went from them: they sacrificed unto Baalim, and burned incense to graven images.

Micah 1 ... And all the graven images thereof shall be beaten to pieces, and all the hires thereof shall be burned with the fire, and all the idols thereof will I (The Word) lay desolate: for she gathered it of the hire of an harlot, and they shall return to the hire of an harlot.

Micah 5 ... Thy graven images also will I (The Word) cut off, and thy standing images out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt no more worship the work of thine hands. And I will pluck up thy groves out of the midst of thee: so will I destroy thy cities. And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen, such as they have not heard.

*****

It was a Wednesday night and I decided to visit another Assembly of God church group.

That night there were 150-200 people in congregation and pastor was speaking to the group.

Pastor started speaking about Jimmy Swaggart and the scandal where Swaggart was found with a prostitute.

Pastor said: "We should pray for brother Swaggart."

In a very soft voice, I said: "He (Swaggart) should be put out of the church."

The woman sitting in front of me apparently heard what I said though it was very soft. She turned and glared at me.

What the apostle Paul said to do when a "brother" is a fornicator ...

I Cor. 5 ... It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father’s wife. And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.

For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed, In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?

Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth

I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.

But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? But them that are without God judgeth.

Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

*****

Paul didn't say to pray for such a "brother" ... nor did Paul say for us to counsel such.

Paul said: put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

A few years after Swaggart cried on TV and said he had sinned and asked for forgiveness, he was caught with another prostitute.

This time when the policeman stopped him with the prostitute in the car, Swaggart said: "It's flat out none of your business." (Report from Wikipedia Internet Encyclopedia)

I didn't return to that Assembly of God church again.

For more than 35-years, I have looked for a church I could attend.

I could not find one.

In March, 2017, God gave me one word by HIS Spirit (the Holy Spirit) ...

"Restraint"

By that one word, I knew what had been going on in the churches for the past decades.

II Thess. 2 ... NASB

Then that lawless one will be revealed

 *****

By removing scripture (in part), they removed JESUS, THE WORD, from the churches and this was the only restraint against antichrist, the man of lawlessness.

When specific verses of scripture were changed or removed, they removed the restraint and antichrist moved into the churches.

(Antichrist is a spirit, not one man.  Like the devil is a spirit in many men, antichrist is a spirit in many men.)

To remove any portion of scripture is like a home owner opening his front door and going out of town on a vacation with the front door of his house left open.

The churches removed the restraint which was scripture.

(Even one small portion of scripture removed is enough to remove the restraint against antichrist.)

*****

In March, 2017, I was praying and I said to God:

"I wish there was a way I could make the teaching on antichrist stronger."

Immediately, I heard the following words by the Spirit of God:

"Tell the poison gas dream."

In 1979, God gave me the following terrifying dream:

Instruction in Righteousness: II Peter 2

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:

8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)

9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

11 Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.

12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;

13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time.

Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;

14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:

15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;

16 But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet.

17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.

18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.

19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

Not My Will, But THY Will Be Done

Book:  Prayer To God
Chapter 4
Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

II Cor. 12 ... Paul said ... And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And HE said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.

Paul had his answer from God. God was not going to heal Paul of this affliction. It is apparent when Paul got this information from God that he no longer prayed about this matter but simply accepted what he believed God had told him.

Paul said ... Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.  II Cor. 12

*****

Jesus prayed three times for "this cup" to be removed from HIM that HE not have to go to the cross.

Mt. 26 ... Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder. And HE took with HIM Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy. Then saith HE unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with ME. And HE went a little further, and fell on HIS face, and prayed, saying, O MY Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from ME: nevertheless not as I will, but as THOU wilt. And HE cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with ME one hour? Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

HE went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O MY Father, if this cup may not pass away from ME, except I drink it, THY will be done. And HE came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.

And HE left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.

Then cometh HE to HIS disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray ME.

Later Jesus explained that had HE done so, asking God, that God would have sent 12 legions of angels to HIM to help HIM ...

Mt. 26 ... And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest’s, and smote off his ear. Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword. Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to My Father, and HE shall presently give Me more than twelve legions of angels? But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?

The all important thing to Jesus was the will of God, the Father ... and the fulfillment of the scriptures!

Some people pray to be healed of a physical problem and are not healed and are often accused by religious people of having weak faith. This may not be the case. Everything depends on the will of God in the matter at hand.

*****

Kenneth Hagin, the man who is said to have started the Faith Movement, had one verse of scripture which he quoted over and over concerning moving a mountain if you had faith.

Jesus said:  Mk. 11 ... And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

2017 ... I realized, Hagin never moved any mountain ... though he said it could be done.

I believe it can be done "if God tells you to do this."  but not with conjuring and puffing yourself up with scripture.  The basis of real faith is first God speaks, then we do what we believe God has said ... just like Noah and Abraham.

Hagin created a false doctrine whereby people think they have authority and power to be their own god by finding scripture to stand on.  But it is done with their minds and not by God by HIS Spirit.  God is left out as they hunt the right scripture.  This is the essence of antichrist and the apostasy that would come into the church in the end times ... II Thess 2.

See Chapter 6 of this book:  The Faith Movement in the Churches

*****

Another example of faultiness in use of scripture to try to get what you want.

I wanted to marry. When I was born again I was approximately 37 years old. I wanted to marry. All my church friends were praying for me to marry. One time I dated a man from our church group. At one point he even said to me, "Joan, don't stop praying about our marrying." And then after he said that, he just disappeared!

At the time, I was even angry with God because I knew it was God who had removed this man.

I've had that type of thing happen over and over.

Finally, I gave up ... "Not my will, but Thy will be done."

After I gave up, everything leveled off and was fine with me.

I Cor. 7 ... (If you marry) such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you.

The last time I almost married was in 2004. We broke up two months before the wedding. It was difficult for me to go through this, but looking back on it I continually thank God that I didn't marry Howard!

I believe my not marrying was the mercy of God toward me with the calling of God I had on my life and the work I did and was to do as a result of that calling … but it was difficult to see it at that time.

Do we trust God? Do we believe God knows what is best for us? Do we believe God has a purpose for our lives and puts us in positions to fulfill that purpose?

Or do we think we have to make it happen? (woe to us if we think that)

*****

I lived in Clovis, NM (USA) from 1985 through 2001. I was helping my mother in her later years after my dad died. I kept picturing that some day I would move to Canyon, Texas (USA). It was in West Texas but I considered it rather pretty there because it was in a small canyon.

My mother died in 2002 and I planned to move to Lubbock, Texas. The house I live in was being built and during the framing, I walked into the door and it struck me, "What happened? I was planning to move to Canyon (100 miles north of Lubbock)." But even before my mother died I had a dream where I was building a house and I saw the lot and the lot I bought in Lubbock looked exactly like the lot in the dream. I believe this is the place God selected for me though I had another place in mind.

(Canyon wouldn't have worked for me at all. They have lots of snow in Canyon and Lubbock does not have much, if any, snow during the year.)

Consider this scripture:

Acts 17:26 (NIV) ... HE (God) determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.

*****

I am almost 80-years-old at time of this writing. I had an accident in 2010 where hip broke and in the operation the bone split all the way down the left side of my hip to knee. This created complications. I didn't know if I would be able to live by myself and take care of myself. I might need to move to an assisted living home (nursing home). Should I begin looking for an assisted living home? I asked God.

After prayer, I was reminded of a time when I traveled in ministry and shipped books to meeting areas. At that time several women worked for me handling office matters. I had to dismiss one woman and the staff became angry with me and all but one person quit. Someone in anger said, "Just wait until she needs to have those materials shipped.” Meaning I would see then what a mistake I made and how much I needed all the workers. But several weeks after the workers left, God gave me a dream telling me not to go out for meetings, so it ended up there was no need for any of the workers the following year since I didn’t go out and have meeting and ship books.

I was reminded of this dream when I prayed about looking for an assisted living home. I believe God was showing me there would not be a need in the future for an assisted living home. So I didn't look for one.

*****

So many concerns focus on future ... future needs, what will happen when such and such happens, how can I manage? Each concern must be taken to God in prayer. We might be fretting ourselves over things where there will not be a "need".

It is very important to stop and talk to God each time a thought over future comes. If there is something we need to do now, God will show us. We just rest in prayer. If we are shown by God to do something now, we do it. If we are shown nothing to do, we consider there will not be a need in this area.

Also during the time of this accident, I didn't know if I would ever be able to walk again.

God gave a dream to a man in our little church group. In the dream, I was walking and doing so without even using a cane. That is the position I'm in currently.

Instruction in Righteousness: II Peter 1

Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

3 According as His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

12 Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.

13 Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;

14 Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me.

15 Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance.

16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty.

(We simply speak what God has done in our lives and we follow that which HE has shown us.)

17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to Him from the excellent glory, This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with Him in the holy mount.

19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Pray Without Ceasing To Pray

Book:  Prayer To God
Chapter 3
Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Lk. 18 ... And HE spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:  And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.

And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.

And shall not God avenge HIS own elect, which cry day and night unto HIM, though HE bear long with them? I tell you that HE will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall HE find faith on the earth?

*****

In 1990, I had a house built for my mother and I. The plans were drawn for the house but unknown to me the contractor changed the size of the kitchen and garage to get the house to fit onto the lot. When we moved into the house we found a very small kitchen and a garage that would not hold two cars.

It was almost impossible for two people to try to work in the kitchen at same time without running into each other. I began praying immediately. I couldn't see any way to correct the problem.

Over and over I prayed about this problem

This went on for approximately 4 years. Each time we were in the kitchen and began having difficulty I would pray, asking God if there was anything I could do to ease this problem.

One day I went into the kitchen and it was as if a light went on in my head and I knew a relatively simple way to take care of the problem.

There was a walk-in pantry in this small kitchen. I moved the pantry to the attached garage and put the refrigerator in the space where pantry had been located. This gave space to add about five feet countertop. When this was done we had no problem being in kitchen at same time.

Concerning the small garage ... We only had one car so that was not a problem to me. But what about resale of house? Most people would not purchase house in this area unless it had two car garage.

I had some space on West side of house where another single car garage could be built, but I would plan the construction and God would stop me.

Several times God stopped me. I had money for the project and had contractor who would do the project but each time I tried to build this God stopped me.

Ten years later when I put the house up for sale, a woman bought the house. She only had one car and didn't need a two car garage so it was no problem to her.

Sometimes we are concerned about future things that never happen.

Years after this, I learned the following scripture and began doing this scripture.

(We don’t know all scripture at once. We grow into scripture as we have our eyes opened by God to the scripture and as we begin living that instruction given by that scripture.)

Jesus said:

Mt. 6 … But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

When something concerning tomorrow troubles you, pray ... let your requests in the troubling  matter  be known unto God.

We deal with today after prayer ... and pray over tomorrow.

Instruction in Righteousness: I Peter 5

The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:

(Peter was both a witness of the sufferings of Jesus and a partaker of those suffering of Jesus as Peter did the Word of God and followed the teaching of Jesus.  So will we suffer with HIM if we partake of the teachings and share them with others.  For all who shall live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.  II Tim. 3 ... That persecution will come from those in the churches as they reject Bible teachings.  This is the end-time apostasy in the churches.  They fall away from portions of scripture.)

2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;

3 Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being examples to the flock.

4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time:

7 Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

11 To Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

12 By Silvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God wherein ye stand.

13 The church that is at Babylon, elected together with you, saluteth you; and so doth Marcus my son.

14 Greet ye one another with a kiss of charity. Peace be with you all that are in Christ Jesus. Amen.

Effectual, Fervent Prayer of a Righteous Man

Book:  Prayer To God
Chapter 2
Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

James 5:16 ... The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

To be effectual, the prayer must be according to the will of God.

And the prayer must be fervent from the heart and not from the mind. (red hot prayer)

*****

One day, I was going into Walmart and met an acquaintance whom I have not seen in several months. We chatted and then she almost grabbed hold of me, not wanting to let me get away before she asked me to pray that her house would sell.

She saw an opportunity in me to get something from God that she had not been able to get for herself.

I just stared at her. I did not agree to pray on this matter nor did I pray about this matter. I do not know the will of God concerning this woman's house. I know what this woman wants but I do not know what God wants. To be effectual I would have to believe I knew the will of God in the matter.

*****

I had a young friend ... a man who was about 45 years old ... he had a terrible disease, ALS . He was married and had 2 children. He became paralyzed to point he could not move any part of his body. Doctors gave him a short time to live. My fervent will was that David live and be healed. But that was my will. I often prayed various things concerning David.

At one point, God gave me an open vision concerning David. I saw him on a golf course. He was jumping up and down and waving for us to come on and join him. He was going ahead of us and expressing how wonderful things were.

I felt this showed me what would happen concerning David. He would die and go on ahead of us. But I believe it also showed me that David is in a spiritual condition to die and in the vision, he was totally restored and urging us to join him "there".

I could not pray for David to live on this earth because of what God had shown me by HIS Spirit concerning David.

(David died in September, 2015)

*****

I have many "ministers" from around the world who write to me and list all the works they are doing and they either ask me to send money to pay for their works (which I do not do) or they ask me to pray for them (which I do not do either).

If the work is really authored by the Spirit of God, God will provide what is needed and you do not have to try to get other humans to pay for the work.

(There is no example in Bible where ministers asked people for money to pay for their works.)

And I do not pray for their works. I do not have information that their many "good" works are authored by God and they tell me nothing that would indicate the various works are authored by God. They often tell me they want to do such & such. But that does not mean God wants them to do this work although the work might seem to be a "good" work.

Jesus said ... Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to ME in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.  Mt. 7:21-23

We see from this scripture that many will come to Jesus showing "wonderful works" and Jesus will call the people workers of iniquity and demand for them to depart from HIM.

Unless God has told the person to do that work, it will not be a good work though it might seem good. And unless God authors the work, they will be unlikely to be able to do the work without begging others for money or figuring out schemes to get money from other people.

*****

Let me present the following example to you:  January 10, 1980, I was sleeping and a voice (I believe from an angel) that was as loud as a trumpet said three words to me. I jumped out of bed. The words spoken to me were: Hartford, Seattle, KWJS. (KWJS turned out to be a radio station.)

I began praying: "God are you wanting me to go on radio? I wouldn't know how to do that."

Gentle thought from Holy Spirit, "Call the radio station manager.”

I called the radio station manager that morning and told him God might be showing me to go on radio and I asked how you do that. He told me to make an audition tape 29 1/2 minutes long and send it to him and if I fit into their broadcast format they would offer me a contract. (I made the tape immediately and sent it to him.)

Then I asked God how HE wanted me to pay for the broadcasts.

Gentle thought from Holy Spirit, "Send letter to the people you know and tell them what happened."

I knew fewer than 80 people at the time but I wrote letter and copied 80 copies and mailed it to the people. I did not ask them for money. I just told them what had happened. Within 24 hrs. there was sufficient money given to pay for first month's broadcast. I was on radio within a week.

When I share this example, do you see God in it?

Does it appear to you that God authored the radio work?

This makes all the difference.

*****

Have you ever had a person come to you saying, "Pray for me" ... and when you tried to pray, you were stone cold dead and had no idea what to pray? And often you feel very responsible, guilty, and burdened when this happens.

(So often they come to me saying "pray for me" and then they go on to tell me exactly what to pray. This seems so silly to me. I wonder why they don't pray. And if they do not have the faith to pray, how can I?")

This is the example of a fleshly situation which is not "fervent" (nor is it effectual) ...

For prayer to be successful it must be "fervent" (red hot), from the heart, not from pressure to pray or thinking you have to pray.

Most of us have examples of having a prayer that is "fervent" ...

It will do no good to pray a cold mental prayer by human request.

*****

Several years ago, a neighbor invited me to Thanksgiving dinner at her house. She asked me if I would give the prayer before the meal. I told her I would not. I knew it was simply a formality and had no real meaning. I know they didn't usually pray before meals. And when people will go about eating an apple or cookie without prayer, why do they pray over a meal? Food is food. I told her I try not to be too hypocritical. I did go to the dinner and someone else went through the formality of praying. I didn't bow my head and try to appear religious. I just kept my eyes open and looked at them as the person prayed and I was glad when the prayer ended. I knew it was simply a prayer for people and not a prayer to God.

*****

There was a time when I played bridge. We often had catered meals before we played. And often a man named John "prayed" before the meal. Most people closed their eyes and bowed their heads during the prayer. I did not close my eyes. I just watched John and the people. John would begin praying with his head bowed, and when people had eyes closed, he would reach into his pocket and pull out a paper and begin reading his very long "prayer", which was more like a fleshly sermon. Anyway I knew this was not really a prayer to God nor was this from the heart. It was just a fleshly, mental exercise done to impress men.

(Finally, when I went to these bridge events where I knew John was going to give a long meaningless prayer, I escaped into the bathroom and stayed there and talked to God until John had time to finish praying, and then I would go out and get in the food line.)

Jesus said: Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.  Mt. 23:14

Also Jesus said: But all their works they do for to be seen of men:  Mt. 23:5

I do not allow people to pressure me to pray. I know this will not work. If the person wants to tell me something he is going through, then if God puts it on my heart to pray, I will.

And when I pray, I am talking directly to God ... not to audience of people. And I expect it to mean something when I pray. And I expect results. And this is what happens.

And I avoid nonsense prayers from men to other men.

*****

Mt. 6 ... Jesus said, concerning prayer ... And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

At one town where I lived, the people across the street did home schooling. One day, I looked out and about 15 of the home schoolers and teachers were standing in the front yard in a circle holding hands. They had their eyes closed and their head bowed. It was obvious they were praying. What an abomination.

To me it is a terrible thing to see football players kneeling down on football field, usually with one hand on forehead, head bowed, eyes closed …showing people they are praying.

“Why don’t these men just pray silently while standing in upright position if they are really talking to God?”

It is obvious the prayer is to men in the football stadium and to the TV cameras, not to God. And religious types love this nonsense. But it is an abomination and Jesus calls such men “hypocrites”.

Mt. 6Jesus says

But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Instruction in Righteousness: I Peter 4

Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:

4 Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:

5 Who shall give account to Him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.

6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

9 Use hospitality one to another without grudging.

10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when His glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part He is evil spoken of, but on your part He is glorified.

15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.

16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

19
Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to Him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.
