Speak That Given by the Holy Spirit

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Matthew 10:27   Jesus says:  What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.

God speaks in our ear by the Holy Spirit bringing thoughts to our mind.  Jn 14:26

Sometimes HE will remind me of a scripture.  Other times I will be reminded of a dream or another word.  Speak that!

When I recorded radio broadcasts, I rarely knew ahead of time what I was going to say.  I might have one scripture to start with and then I just spoke that which God brought into my mind by HIS Spirit.

Certainly other spirits also speak to us.  We must not speak by our fleshly desires.  Nor do we speak that brought by the devil.

But there are times we are certain that which we are about to speak is to edification, to exhortation (warning), to comfort.  That will be from the Spirit of God.

*****

Matthew 11:2-5    Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples,  And said unto HIM, Art thou HE that should come, or do we look for another?

Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:  The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

*****

* The blind receive their sight

Does that thought we received help us to see the way of God that we can go in that way?  Does it support scripture.  This is helpful in evaluating the thought we think to be from God.  Also we can pray, asking God to confirm that thought if there is really any doubt.

It can be a little tricky for the devil appears as an angel of light.  I believe many follow devils into various good works and end up in trouble by those works, needlessly burdened.

We can evaluate the wisdom that is from God by the following characteristics.

James 3:17    But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy (pretense and deception).

Matthew 11:30 ... God's yoke is easy and HIS burden is light.

I've had so many who say they are ministers come to me wanting money to pay for their many works.  They build orphanages.  They try to feed all the elderly people in their town.  They start the work and run out of money and try to get others to pay for their work.

One early thing God taught me to go by is this:  God's yoke is easy.

I've always found when God authors the work, it is easy to be administered.  The money is there.  All the help I need in various labor is also there.  It is easy to do that which God calls me to do.

I cannot take care of orphans nor old people, I'm old myself at this time.  I can't fly at my own expense to Africa or to India to speak at minister's conferences as some ask me to do.  It would destroy me physically to try this, also financially.

But I can write these messages on a blog from my own home, as God told me to do.

Truly when you are following God, the Lord is your shepherd ... you shall not want.

You do not have to beg people for money to pay for your work when God is author of the work.  It is very fleshly to have to beg other people for money.

David said:  I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.  Psalm 37:25

Many works man thinks are good are not authored by God.

Matthew 7:21-23   Jesus says ... Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Many will say to ME in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from ME, ye that work iniquity.

The First Coming of Jesus was to Save Sinners. The Next Time Jesus Comes it will be for the Righteous.

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Matthew 9:10-13    And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with HIM and HIS disciples.

And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto HIS disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?

But when Jesus heard that, HE said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.  But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

*****

The next time Jesus comes will be to gather the righteous to HIMSELF.

I Thessalonians 4:13-18     But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (dead), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with HIM
.
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent (precede) them which are asleep (dead).

For the Lord HIMSELF shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

*****

Jesus returns for the righteous, for those who believe in HIM and trust in HIM.

The dead will rise from their graves and those still living will shed these fleshly  bodies in the twinkling of an eye, given new spiritual bodies, and they will rise.
I Corinthians 15

Both the dead and the living meet Jesus "in the air".

The kingdom of God will not be on this present earth.

This present earth will be destroyed by God.

II Peter 3:10-14    But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

*****

Revelation 21:1-5    And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS people, and God HIMSELF shall be with them, and be their God.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

*****

In the new heaven and the new earth, we will not have these fleshly bodies we now have.  God will give us new, spiritual bodies.  Therefore the suffering caused by our flesh and our emotions will be gone forever.  There will be no sorrow nor pain for the flesh that produces such will no longer be the vessel containing our spirit.  I Corinthians 15

Instruction in Righteousness: From II Corinthians 6

1-13     We then, as workers together with HIM, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.

(For HE saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:  But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings; By pureness, by knowledge, by long suffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,

By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,

By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true;

As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;

As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged.

Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in your own bowels.

Now for a recompence in the same, (I speak as unto my children,) be ye also enlarged.

*****

14-18   Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the LIVING God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be MY people.

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean; and I will receive you.

And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be MY sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

*****

If we will diligently speak the truth of God to the unbeliever, it is my experience that the unbeliever either comes to the truth and is then a believer, or no longer wants to be around me.

The truth of God separates us from the unbeliever as light is separated from darkness.

Phinehas

(Comments by Joan Boney)

Phinehas has long been a favorite of mine, for in times when the congregation was disobedient and the Wrath of God was loosed on the congregation because of sin, Phinehas arose to judgment and stayed the plague because he did righteous judgment in Israel.

Phinehas was the grandson of Aaron and the son of Eleazar.

*****

Phinehas

Ex. 6

25   And Eleazar Aaron's son took him one of the daughters of Putiel to wife; and she bare him Phinehas:

*****

Phinehas was cited by God multiple times in Bible and cited by God for his judgments.

I Chron. 9

20   And Phinehas the son of Eleazar was the ruler over them in time past, and the LORD was with him.

*****

Numbers 25

1-9   And Israel abode in Shittim, and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab. And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods.

And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.

And Moses said unto the judges of Israel, Slay ye every one his men that were joined unto Baalpeor.

And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand; And he went after the man of Israel into the tent, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly. So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel.

And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand.

10-16   And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned MY wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for MY sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy.

Wherefore say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace:

And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the children of Israel.

(Righteous judgment is atonement, in the sight of God, that all not be destroyed.)

Now the name of the Israelite that was slain, even that was slain with the Midianitish woman, was Zimri, the son of Salu, a prince of a chief house among the Simeonites.

And the name of the Midianitish woman that was slain was Cozbi, the daughter of Zur; he was head over a people, and of a chief house in Midian.

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Vex the Midianites, and smite them:

For they vex you with their wiles, wherewith they have beguiled you in the matter of Peor, and in the matter of Cozbi, the daughter of a prince of Midian, their sister, which was slain in the day of the plague for Peor's sake.

Psalm 106

13-31   They soon forgat HIS (God's) works; they waited not for HIS counsel:

But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in the desert.

And HE gave them their request; but sent leanness into their soul.

They envied Moses also in the camp, and Aaron the saint of the LORD.

The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram.

And a fire was kindled in their company; the flame burned up the wicked.

They made a calf in Horeb, and worshipped the molten image.

Thus they changed their glory into the similitude of an ox that eateth grass.

They forgat God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt;

Wondrous works in the land of Ham, and terrible things by the Red sea.

Therefore HE said that HE would destroy them, had not Moses HIS chosen stood before HIM in the breach, to turn away HIS wrath, lest HE should destroy them.

Yea, they despised the pleasant land, they believed not HIS word:

But murmured in their tents, and hearkened not unto the voice of the LORD.

Therefore he lifted up his hand against them, to overthrow them in the wilderness:

To overthrow their seed also among the nations, and to scatter them in the lands.

They joined themselves also unto Baalpeor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead.

Thus they provoked HIM to anger with their inventions: and the plague brake in upon them.

Then stood up Phinehas, and executed judgment: and so the plague was stayed.

And that was counted unto him for righteousness unto all generations for evermore.

*Psalm 119

*****
57-64

THOU art my portion, O Lord: I have said that I would keep THY words.

I intreated THY favour with my whole heart: be merciful unto me according to THY word.

I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto THY testimonies.

I made haste, and delayed not
to keep THY commandments.

The bands of the wicked have robbed me: but I have not forgotten THY law.

At midnight I will rise
to give thanks unto THEE because of THY righteous judgments.

I am a companion of all them that fear THEE, and of them that keep THY precepts.

The earth, O Lord, is full of THY mercy: teach me THY statutes.

*****
65-72

THOU hast dealt well with THY servant, O Lord, according unto THY word.

Teach me good judgment and knowledge:
for I have believed THY commandments.

Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept THY word.

THOU art good, and doest good; teach me THY statutes.

The proud have forged a lie against me: but I will keep THY precepts
with my whole heart. Their heart is as fat as grease; but I delight in THY law.

It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn THY statutes.

The law of THY mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.

*****
73-80

THY hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn THY commandments.

They that fear THEE will be glad when they see me; because I have hoped in THY word.

I know, O Lord, that THY judgments are right, and that THOU in faithfulness hast afflicted me.

Let, I pray thee, THY merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to THY word unto THY servant.

Let THY tender mercies come unto me, that I may live: for THY law is my delight. Let the proud be ashamed;  for they dealt perversely with me without a cause: but I will meditate in THY precepts.

Let those that fear THEE turn unto me, and those that have known THY testimonies.

Let my heart be sound in THY statutes; that I be not ashamed.

Volume 7 ... #11
What Denomination Are You?

I Cor. 3 ...  And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.

I have fed you with milk, and not with meat:for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.

For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?  For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?

(While one says, "I'm Baptist" and another says, "I'm Methodist", are ye not carnal?)

Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?  I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.  So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.

*****

There is one body of Christ, one Spirit, one Lord, one Faith, one Baptism.

Jn. 4 ...  The woman saith unto him (to Jesus), Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.  Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.

Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.

Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship HIM.

God is a Spirit: and they that worship HIM must worship HIM in spirit and in truth.

*****

When they come to you asking, "Where do you go to church?"

They are either trying to trick you to condemn you or they are desiring to glory in your flesh.

Either way, the question shows that person to be very carnal, not spiritual.

It is usually divisive ... unless you happen to attend the same church group as the person asking the question ... He is trying to evaluate you, whether you are of God, but he does this by fleshly means and not by the Spirit of God.

He is saying, "If you are of God, prove yourself ..."

(He fails to see the proof is in the work and in that Spirit that is in us, but he, likely having not the Spirit in him, cannot see the Spirit that is in us.  He wants to prove by fleshly ways ... where do you go to church ... by what authority do you speak ... what man commissioned you ... just like the Pharisees who came to question Jesus. But what he shows by asking the question is he is carnal.)

*****

It is also exactly the same as those who mocked Jesus when HE was on the cross ...

Matt 27 ...  And they that passed by reviled HIM, wagging their heads,  And saying, THOU that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save THYSELF. If THOU be the Son of God, come down from the cross.

Likewise also the chief priests mocking HIM, with the scribes and elders, said, HE saved others; HIMSELF HE cannot save. If HE be the King of Israel, let HIM now come down from the cross, and we will believe HIM.

*****

Our works in God, our countenance in God, the Spirit that is in us shows who we are ... the evil one is "daring" us to "prove it".

When this happens to us, we commit ourselves to God who judges justly.

Heb. 12:3 ... For consider HIM that endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

And just walk away from that questioning person.

If YOU will, YOU can make me clean

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Matthew 8:1-3   When HE was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed HIM.
And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

And Jesus put forth HIS hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean.

And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

Isn't this similar to the way it was when we were born again?

Except I wasn't seeking Jesus or God at the time I was born again.  By HIS Spirit, God spoke a thought to me as follows:  "Joan, you know these mistakes you've been making all these years?  Those weren't mistakes.  Those were sins."  I was so shocked!  But I was changed immediately.

After this, I began reading Bible and learning from God about HIS way.  And each time HE taught me something I was recreated again in the image of Christ.

I John 2:27    But the anointing which ye have received of HIM abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in HIM.

We live in those things taught us by God and we continue in those things taught us by God.

John 8:31-32    Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in MY word, then are ye MY disciples indeed;  And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

*****

We are baptized into Jesus as a sign of the death of that person we once were, thus we are dead with HIM, that we might be raised to walk in newness of life.

When I was baptized after I was born again, the minister lowered me into the water and the Holy Spirit said to me:  "This is like being buried with Jesus."

When I came up out of the water, the Holy Spirit said to me:  "This is like being raised with Jesus."

Instruction in Righteousness: From II Corinthians 5

1-4    For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.  For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.

5-9   Now HE that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, WHO also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.

Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:

(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

*****

In the body, in our flesh, we walk by sight.

When we are going by our flesh and what we can see with our natural eyes, we are absent from faith, from the Lord.

*****

We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of HIM.

*****

10-11   For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

*****

12-16   For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart.

For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause.

For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if ONE died for all, then were all dead: And that HE died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto HIM which died for them, and rose again.

Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

(We do not visit places Jesus lived.  That is after the flesh and has no power and no real spiritual edification.  We do not seek visual images but we know Christ in spiritual ways, thus the power of God through the Word given us by the Holy Spirit.)

*****

17-21    Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to HIMSELF by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto HIMSELF, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

(Not "imputing" their trespasses unto them means not charging their past trespasses unto them.)

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

For HE hath made HIM to be sin for us, (HIM) WHO knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in HIM.

*****

Galatians 5:16-18   This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

If we are led by the Spirit, we are not under the law for we fulfill the law when we follow the Spirit, not doing the works of the flesh.

*****

19-21    Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness (defrauding others), lasciviousness (various lusts), idolatry, witchcraft (superstitions), hatred, variance (to vary: disagree, argue), emulations (to try to out do one another), wrath (ill will), strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like:

of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

*****

21-23    But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

(For the works of the Spirit fulfill the law.)

24-26    And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

*****

By walking in the Spirit and the light of the Word, we have freedom from sin.

We are in no way free to sin.  We are free from sin, no longer doing the sins of the flesh.

You cannot walk in the Spirit and walk in the flesh at the same time.  It is impossible.  To walk in the flesh, doing the works of the flesh, is to leave the Spirit.

To walk in the Spirit is to walk in:  love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance

*****

We control our own flesh by prayer and by desiring to control our flesh.

Make no mistake.  The flesh never improves.  It is always waiting to get an opportunity to rise up and attack.

One day I was lying down to rest.  All of a sudden someone turned on a sound system at a very loud volume.  The sound began coming through the wall of my house.  I wanted to jump up and find that person and tell him to turn down that sound, it was troubling me.

But that would have been flesh reacting to flesh.

So instead I prayed, asking God not to allow me to do "that".  I told God I was very near the edge.

God stopped my flesh.

Each time I have recognized my flesh is about to react, and have prayed this way, asking God to stop me, God has stopped me.  Not once has God failed to stop me!

We have help in God when we do not want to follow our flesh.

Rahab

Joshua 2

1-21   And Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim two men to spy secretly, saying, Go view the land, even Jericho. And they went, and came into an harlot's house, named Rahab, and lodged there.

And it was told the king of Jericho, saying, Behold, there came men in hither to night of the children of Israel to search out the country.

And the king of Jericho sent unto Rahab, saying, Bring forth the men that are come to thee, which are entered into thine house: for they be come to search out all the country.

And the woman took the two men, and hid them, and said thus, There came men unto me, but I wist not whence they were:

And it came to pass about the time of shutting of the gate, when it was dark, that the men went out: whither the men went I wot not: pursue after them quickly; for ye shall overtake them.

But she had brought them up to the roof of the house, and hid them with the stalks of flax, which she had laid in order upon the roof.

And the men pursued after them the way to Jordan unto the fords: and as soon as they which pursued after them were gone out, they shut the gate.

And before they were laid down, she came up unto them upon the roof;

And she said unto the men, I know that the LORD hath given you the land, and that your terror is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you.

For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red sea for you, when ye came out of Egypt; and what ye did unto the two kings of the Amorites, that were on the other side Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom ye utterly destroyed.

And as soon as we had heard these things, our hearts did melt, neither did there remain any more courage in any man, because of you: for the LORD your God, HE is God in heaven above, and in earth beneath.

Now therefore, I pray you, swear unto me by the LORD, since I have shewed you kindness, that ye will also shew kindness unto my father's house, and give me a true token: And that ye will save alive my father, and my mother, and my brethren, and my sisters, and all that they have, and deliver our lives from death.

And the men answered her, Our life for yours, if ye utter not this our business. And it shall be, when the LORD hath given us the land, that we will deal kindly and truly with thee.

Then she let them down by a cord through the window: for her house was upon the town wall, and she dwelt upon the wall.

And she said unto them, Get you to the mountain, lest the pursuers meet you; and hide yourselves there three days, until the pursuers be returned: and afterward may ye go your way.

And the men said unto her, We will be blameless of this thine oath which thou hast made us swear.

Behold, when we come into the land, thou shalt bind this line of scarlet thread in the window which thou didst let us down by: and thou shalt bring thy father, and thy mother, and thy brethren, and all thy father's household, home unto thee.

And it shall be, that whosoever shall go out of the doors of thy house into the street, his blood shall be upon his head, and we will be guiltless: and whosoever shall be with thee in the house, his blood shall be on our head, if any hand be upon him.

And if thou utter this our business, then we will be quit of thine oath which thou hast made us to swear.

And she said, According unto your words, so be it. And she sent them away, and they departed: and she bound the scarlet line in the window.

22-24   And they went, and came unto the mountain, and abode there three days, until the pursuers were returned: and the pursuers sought them throughout all the way, but found them not.

So the two men returned, and descended from the mountain, and passed over, and came to Joshua the son of Nun, and told him all things that befell them:

And they said unto Joshua, Truly the LORD hath delivered into our hands all the land; for even all the inhabitants of the country do faint because of us.

Joshua 6

(After Joshua captures Jericho)

22-25   But Joshua had said unto the two men that had spied out the country, Go into the harlot's house, and bring out thence the woman, and all that she hath, as ye sware unto her.

And the young men that were spies went in, and brought out Rahab, and her father, and her mother, and her brethren, and all that she had; and they brought out all her kindred, and left them without the camp of Israel.

And they burnt the city with fire, and all that was therein: only the silver, and the gold, and the vessels of brass and of iron, they put into the treasury of the house of the LORD.

And Joshua saved Rahab the harlot alive, and her father's household, and all that she had; and she dwelleth in Israel even unto this day; because she hid the messengers, which Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.

*****

Hebrews 11

30-31   By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days.

By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace.

*****

James 2

24-26   Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

(Comments by Joan Boney)

A woman who is Baptist, said to me, "It is impossible for a Methodist to be a Christian."

I was shocked!  But since I didn't have anything to say, I didn't say anything.

Later, God, by HIS Spirit brought the following words to my attention:

"Even in Sardis"

I thought of what the woman had said and I knew God was saying to me, "Even as bad as it was in Sardis, there were a few who were worthy."

Revelation 3

1-6   And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith HE that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.

Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.

He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

*Psalm 119

*****
41-43

Let THY mercies come also unto me, O Lord, even THY salvation, according to THY word. So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in THY WORD.

And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in THY judgments.

*****
44-48

So shall I keep THY law continually for ever and ever.

And I will walk at liberty: for I seek THY precepts.

(For us, doing the Word from God is liberty from the sins of this world.)

I will speak of THY testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed.

And I will delight myself in THY commandments, which I have loved.

My hands also will I lift up unto THY commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in THY statutes.

*****
49-52

Remember the word unto THY servant, upon which THOU hast caused me to hope.

This is my comfort in my affliction: for THY WORD hath quickened me.

The proud have had me greatly in derision: yet have I not declined from THY law.

I remembered THY judgments of old, O Lord; and have comforted myself.

*****
53-56

Horror hath taken hold upon me because of the wicked that forsake THY law.

THY statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.

I have remembered THY name, O Lord, i
n the night, and have kept THY law.

This I had, because I kept THY precepts.

Volume 7 ... #10
Evil Often Tries to "Creep" In

Sometimes evil (unbelief in God) is so subtil ... just as the serpent in Genesis 3 was described as "subtil" when he carried an idea to the woman Eve.

The purpose of devils and antichrist is to take us opposite from God... to get us to add to something God has said ... or to get us to take away from something God has said ... or to cause us not to believe what God has said.

Paul spoke of evil creeping in ...

II Tim. 3 ... 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

*****

For us, often when evil tries to "creep into our thoughts", the Holy Spirit will counter and fight the evil by bringing the truth to our mind.

And as we renew our mind to the word of God, often we uproot evil that has crept into our thinking.

Romans 12 ...  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

*****

I Peter 5 ... 7 Casting all your care upon HIM; for HE careth for you.

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. 10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto HIS eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. 11 To HIM be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Vain imaginations are often seeds planted in us from things spoken by other people.

At mailbox one day, I saw one of my neighbors and she came to me to "chat".

She noticed the man who lives directly across from me was building a fence which extended to the edge of my house.  She mentioned maybe he was putting a dog run in that location.

I am an animal lover.

But later that day, I began to be troubled.  That "dog run" would allow dogs to come within about 8 feet of the room where I do all my work.  DOGS BARK!

I began fervently praying.  And heard nothing at all from God.  I continued crying out since I continued to be troubled.

Later that day, I began to think about this and wondered how I came to think there might be a dog run.  I realized the other neighbor simply said "maybe" this was going to be a dog run. (I don't even know if the man who was building the fence has a dog.  I've never seen a dog in that area, nor heard one.)

After the fence was finished it was obvious that it was not going to confine anything.

I suspect he built the fence to block the noise or the vision of cars that travel on the street adjacent to us.

Jonah 2:8 ... They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.

In 1979, God gave me the following terrifying dream:

Destruction was everywhere.

A meeting was going on.  A man was speaking to a room filled with people.  I went in and began to listen.

A second man rushed in and said:  "Stop ... Wait ... Can't you see ... It's too late ... It's already begun."

The first man resumed speaking.

I looked out the window to see what had "already begun."

There was a tall pole with a yellow civil defense speaker at top of the pole.  A gas was coming out of the speaker.  I knew it was poisonous and would kill the people.  It was coming directly toward us!

The shocking thing was the speaker that was set there for the purpose of warning us was being used as the instrument which dispersed the gas that was poison and would kill us!

I looked at the man seated next to me.  He had a big grin on his face and was looking directly at the man who was speaking to the group.  But then I saw this man was a corpse, though he looked alive.  He was already dead!

I looked about the room at the other people and realized they were all dead.

As I sat back in my chair and listened to the man speaking I began to feel sleepy and I knew as I sat there among them this was killing me too.

*****

God was showing me the anarchy that was already going on in our church groups.

Hearing from God by His Spirit

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Yesterday, the Holy Spirit brought to my mind the following:

Be not confromed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind ... Romans 12:2

At the time this came to mind, I was reading in another section of scripture.  I stopped and went to Romans 12, believing this was the Holy Spirit speaking to me.  As such, this was something I really needed for foundation at that moment in time.

As we read the Word of God we are transformed by seriously considering  that which the Word says.

Transformed:  changed completely

In this case, changed completely from the way of the world and from the wisdom of this world in the matter at hand, in the way we are going.

That which the world considers wise is foolishness in the sight of God.  The world follows money.  God does not.  God does what is really best and that which will fulfill HIS own purpose for us.

Romans 8:28 ... And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to HIS purpose.

*****

One of the ways the Holy Spirit helps us is to remind us of that which Jesus, the Word, has said, such as the scripture Romans 12:2  as was called to my attention yesterday.  I stopped and focused on this scripture when I heard it.  And again today I looked at it, thinking again on the instruction.

Yesterday a woman had criticized me for the way I built this house.  It didn't seem wise to her.  She follows after money though she does have some signs of God in her.

I suspect one reason Romans 12:2 was called to my attention last night was to heal me from her words, for by Romans 12:2 God is saying for me not to be conformed to the wisdom of people of this world who follow after money but rather to renew my mind to those things that God did in the building of this house, such as the dream God gave me where I was building this house and also the knowledge that I was praying for wisdom as I planned this house.  Certainly I was reading Bible during that time and considering what God had given me.

Humans around us are often wise in their own minds concerning us and they puff themselves up also by what they think.

We must not consider their words but rather we rest in knowing our way of life and how we have prayed and how we do try to follow God.

I have very strong experience with God and I know God can stop me and turn me from the way I am going when HE wants to do so.  This is comforting also.

I even told this woman I had a dream about building this house two years before I knew I would be building this house.

Also we have the assurance that God puts us in the exact location where we live and the exact time we live there.  So if something goes wrong, we can know God put us in that spot.  We will overcome the problem through God.

*****

Acts 17:26-27     HE determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.  God did this so men would seek HIM and perhaps reach out for HIM and find HIM.  (NIV Original Translation)

If we live in a place and there is a problem, don't we seek God over that problem?  and find God's way of living peacefully in the problem.

Some people think if you are following God you shouldn't have a problem.  But this is not exactly what the Bible teaches.

Psalm 34:19    Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

John 16:33    Jesus says:  These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Problems of life drive us to God to seek HIS way.

So even problems work for good for those who are the called according to HIS purpose.

Instruction in Righteousness: From II Corinthians 4

1-2   Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;

But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

(I believe the important thing for us to report is that which we believe we have heard from God by HIS Spirit.  I diligently report those words.  I believe it is our responsibility to report these things. And I try to report only those words for I believe that is what helps people.  Cleverness of humans might tickle us and we might laugh, but power is in what God says.  Recently a man who said he is a minister sent me an email and asked me to read an attached "document" and tell him what I thought.  I did open the document but all it told about was that man's works and what that man wanted to do.  There was nothing saying what God had told him.  I glanced through all the document and never was there anything of God it was just of that man.  And it was boring.  I reported this.  I heard nothing back from him.)

*****

3-4   But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

*****

5-6   For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

(I believe Paul is saying he didn't try to come up with things to say of "himself", but he spoke that which the Holy Spirit of Jesus brought to his mind.)

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

*****

7-11   But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;

Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

*****

Each time we speak of God or the WORD, we are delivered unto death, the death of ourselves.  For they might reject us, death to us.  But as we speak, the life of Jesus is manifest by that which we speak.  When we share the way of God, the life of Jesus is manifest.  So like Paul, we are always given unto death that the way of God might be manifest.

*****

12-18    So then death worketh in us, but life in you.

We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

Knowing that HE which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.

For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
