πŸ’₯ Uvalde Series: Introduction ... That which the Holy Spirit said to me about those who die in Christ.

The Holy Spirit said:

" The body without the spirit is dead ..."  This is a scripture:  James 2:26

This shows us that when a person dies, the spirit leaves that body at the moment of death!

Where does the spirit of the person who believes in Jesus go?

We know from the Bible death is described as "falling asleep"(John 11 & I Thessalonians 4:14)

And we know from I Thessalonians 4:14 that spirit of the person who is of God and died is asleep in Jesus.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with HIM.

This causes me to believe that at the time of death, the spirit (soul) of the person leaves the body and falls asleep in Jesus when they belong to Him.

When Jesus returns to earth "with a shout" that spirit that has been sleeping in Jesus awakens and is resurrected and taken to the new heaven and new earth which has been created by God for HIS people!

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

This is a description from the Bible of that new heaven and new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Revelation 21

1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earthfor the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS people, and God HIMSELF shall be with them, and be their God.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyesand there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

5 And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

And HE said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

(So why visit graves?  The soul, spirit, of the believer is not there in the dead body, but is risen and sleeps in Jesus!)

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

1. (Uvalde Series) The children killed in the shooting in Uvalde, Texas are asleep in Jesus. Help for family and friends who are still alive but grieve.

Death is like falling asleep.  When we awake we don't know how all that time could have passed while we slept.

This is the way the Bible describes death:  Falling asleep in Jesus.  "They who sleep in Jesus."

Those family and friends who survive are the ones who need help, and if they can believe in that which God says in the Bible concerning death (falling asleep), they obtain from God the true help in the time of sorrow.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Jesus' friend Lazarus dies and Jesus goes to raise Lazarus from the dead:

(Notice how Jesus says Lazarus is sleeping.)

John 11  (Jesus says to HIS disciples.)

11 Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.

12 Then said HIS disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.

13 Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that HE had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.

14 Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

When a person dies, he falls asleep.  There is no more pain for him.  There is no more sorrow for him. There is no more trouble for him.  For he is as one who sleeps!

And when he sleeps in Jesus, he will awaken to everlasting life through Jesus.

So the apostle Paul tells us not to sorrow as the pagans sorrow for we have the hope of the resurrection through Jesus.

Paul says:

I Thessalonians 4

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (dead), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with HIM.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent (go before) them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord HIMSELF shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

In the resurrection, Jesus takes us to the new heaven and new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness:

Revelation 21  (The apostle John tells us about the new heaven)

1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

5 And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

At the end of this world, the apostle Peter tells us what happens and also tells us how we should live on this earth until that time.

2 Peter 3

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

2. (Uvalde Series) When death or tragedy occurs, our weapons are not carnal as the weapons of this world but our weapons are mighty through God.

"God ... help me!"  we cry out!
For only through God can we receive lasting help and comfort through Jesus.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

It is critical for each of us to remember that dead child is sleeping in Christ.  And that child has everything needed and no more pain or sorrow or trouble!

We are the ones who need help!  And our help comes from God as we cry out to God.

Each time bad memories come to our minds concerning what has happened, we must stop and cry out to God.  "God ... help me!"

And when we cry out to God for help, God will help us!

God's promises:

Joshua 1:8 & Hebrews 13:5

I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Each time you begin to feel heavy, cry out to God for help.  Where ever you are, call on God.  God is everywhere:  HE is in you and with you at all times in all places when you belong to HIM and ask HIM for help as a little child does.  God is our Father.

And keep in your mind at all times that your child is sleeping in Christ!  When Christ returns to gather HIS Church, the dead in Christ will be awakened by the voice of Jesus.

Each of us will be given new heavenly bodies!  And we will be taken to the new heaven and new earth which is created by God for HIS children.

The devil wants us to grieve and sorrow.  But because we know the truth of the resurrection, we rejoice in the provision of God through Jesus.

Rejoice in the fact that the child has total comfort as that child sleeps in Jesus.  This is the victory!  See the child as that child is:  sleeping in Christ.

When Jesus returns with a shout, the dead in Christ will awaken!

Keep this truth in your mind at all times:  Your child is sleeping in Christ!   Jesus will awaken your child when Jesus returns to gather HIS church!

This truth frees you!

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

And each time you have any trouble or concern, pray directly to God wherever you are!

Philippians 4:6  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Stop and talk to God.  Pour out your heart to God.  Let your requests be made known to God as you talk directly with God!

And when you do that, the following will happen:

7  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (the Word).

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

I Corinthians 3:16  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

3. (Uvalde Series) God keeps us in perfect peace when our mind is stayed on that which we have heard from HIM.

Jesus was crucified and HIS body was wrapped in clean linen and HE was placed in a tomb with a large rock sealing the entrance to the tomb.

Several women came to the tomb to bring good smelling spices to place on the dead body of Jesus.

Here is what happened:

Luke 24

1 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.

2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.

3 And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.

4 And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men (angels)  stood by them in shining garments:

5 And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they (the men) said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?

HE is not here, but is risen:

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

The truth of God's word calms us and directs our way as we go through the problems of this present world.

As long as we make our mind be fixed on God's words and pray to God, HE keeps us in perfect peace even in tragedies.

Isaiah 26:3-4

THOU wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on THEE: because he trusteth in THEE.

Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Philippians 4:6-7

6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

The pagans sorrow because they have no hope in death.  We, as Christians, have hope of the resurrection from the dead through Jesus Christ.  So we do not act as do the pagans.

The apostle Paul says:

18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

4. (Uvalde Series) Dealing with anger.

Are you angry over what happened?  Certainly you have a "right" to be angry.  But you will be far better off to go another way.

God will judge with perfect judgment.

Can you trust God to judge and would you be willing to turn judgment over to God?

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

When I saw the tape which was played on CNN where the armed policemen stood in that school hallway doing nothing as that teenager used his weapon to kill all those children, I was angry and wanted to kill those useless policemen, especially the first two or three who came into the school and did nothing.

Fortunately. for me, I am controlled by God and by scriptures, and I put my trust in God and in the Word of God and bow my will to what I read the the Bible.

Romans 12:19  Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is MINE; I will repay, saith the Lord.

"Not my will, but THY will, be done."

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Often I turn to God and ask HIM to help me and to keep me from saying or doing that which I want to do.  And God always answers this prayer, restraining me from what I want to do.

And I frequently pray this:

Psalm 51:10  Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

For only through God and HIS Word am I saved from myself and my own flesh.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

5. (Uvalde Series) Dealing with destructive thoughts

2 Timothy 3  (Concerning the end times)

1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

 πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯
Jesus said, concerning the devil:

John 8:44  He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Both the devil and our own flesh bring ideas to our mind to destroy us if possible.

John 10:10  Jesus says:  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Proverbs 14:12  There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

James 1:5  If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Taking thoughts captive:

2 Corinthians 10:3-5  For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Jonah 2:8  They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Live in peace even in the midst of trouble by taking every concern to God in prayer and speaking directly to God about all cares:

Philippians 4:6  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Philippians 4

13  I can do all things through Christ (The Word) which strengtheneth me.

19 But my God shall supply all your need according to HIS riches in glory by Christ Jesus (THE Word).

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Recognizing the ideas that are from God:

God's yoke is easy and HIS burden is light. (Matthew 11:30)  If a plan if overly expensive, I stop and pray again.  If an idea is complex and hard to do, I stop and pray again.

For I have learned this about the wisdom that is from God.

James 3:17  But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

James 3:14-16  But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.  15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. 16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

So if you have envy or strife with another, just don't do anything until you call on God to cleanse your heart and spirit.

Psalm 51:10  Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Concerning money:

1 Timothy 6

5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.

7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

πŸ’₯ (Uvalde Series) Follow up

Comments by Joan Boney:

Romans 12:19  Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

For those persons who did evil in the Uvalde issue, I asked God to "repay" them swiftly for the evil.

In prayer, I said to God:  "YOU have said you would "repay" the evil doers.  I ask YOU to "repay" those evil policemen who allowed that killer to kill those children while they failed to take action against the killer.  And I ask YOU to repay them speedily and also let us hear of what YOU did to them."

Turn them over to God through prayer for HIM to judge.

God says:  "I will repay!"  (Romans 12:19)

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

On television report, I heard one of the parents of the Uvalde victims say, "I hope those policemen will not be able to sleep at night."

And when I heard her say this I thought:  "They won't be able to sleep at night if they have any integrity.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

πŸ’₯ Great heat: A plague from God upon this world in the end times

Revelation 16

8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.

9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented NOT to give HIM glory.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Revelation 8  (The end times)

6 And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.

7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass (in the burn areas) was burnt up.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

One great problem will be the "fierceness" of men.

2 Timothy 3  (The apostle Paul says:)

1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection (homosexuals & lesbians: Romans 1:26-27), trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness (attending church), but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Things will not get better but worse:

2 Timothy 3

13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

πŸ’₯ James 4:14

For what is your life?  It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

Our hope is not in that which men of this world do but rather our hope and assurance is in what God does in that which pertains to us!

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Therefore Jesus says to us.

John 14:27  Peace I leave with you, MY peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

I look at that which this world is currently doing and saying, but my kingdom is not of this world so I know it really doesn't matter to me for I am "dead to this world and alive to God," so HE will remove me from this world at some point in time.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

πŸ’₯ Romans 8:28

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to HIS purpose.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Concerning Joseph:

When Joseph was 17, his brothers were envious of him and sold him into slavery and he was taken into bondage and sold to the captain of Pharaoh.

God made Joseph to prosper in all places, everywhere he was taken.

Genesis 39

1 And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmeelites, which had brought him down thither.

2 And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.

3 And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand.

4 And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Then Joseph's master's wife, wanted to have sex with Joseph and when Joseph refused her and fled, she lied about him and caused her husband to put Joseph in the prison.

Genesis 39

But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.

22 And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's hand all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it.

23 The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand; because the LORD was with him, and that which he did, the LORD made it to prosper.

Joseph was kept in prison 2 full years.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Then Pharaoh dreamed a dream which no one could interpret.  Pharaoh had heard about Joseph and he sent for Joseph and after God gave the interpretation to Joseph, Pharaoh put Joseph 2nd in charge of the whole kingdom of Egypt.

There was a famine from God throughout the lands.

Joseph's father and brothers heard they had wheat in Egypt so they came to Egypt to get food where Joseph was in charge of distributing the food.

Joseph brought them to live in Egypt.

And after Joseph reveal himself to his brothers, Joseph said to his brothers:

Genesis 50:20  But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Pam Padgett who works with me was at one time working in a bank in Colorado Springs.  But she became bored with that work and she began praying, asking God to put her into some type of work she would find interesting.  This was mid-1980.  Computers were new and someone had given 2 computers to her department and her boss asked Pam if she would see if there was someway they could use these machines.  Pam asked her boss if she could take a computer class at the local college and her boss agreed.  They picked a course called "Basic," thinking that would teach Pam how to use a computer.  But at the first class Pam found it was a class teaching how to write code for a computer.  Since Pam was already at the class she decided to stay that night for the lecture.  By the time the class was over she was saying to God, "This is it!  This is what I want to do."  She continued to study computer code writing and ended up getting a computer programming job at Fed Ex.  She took early retirement in 2012 and one month later God told me in a dream to start a blog.  I asked Pam to set up a blog for us which she did and within 3 days were were exhorting the church by blog.

In 2015, she set up books for us to publish on Amazon.  That also required computer skills.

In 2020, in a dream God showed me to begin Podcasts.  Pam had the technical skills to do that job also.

God has HIS purpose for us and God makes it happen!

God accomplishes HIS own will for HIS people.

God has a purpose for each of us.  God leads us and gives us HIS Work.  Just do your assignment.

Some are fathers and mothers.  Some are given by God a spiritual gift of helps to work inside the church, helping to get the Word distributed.  And some speak the word to exhort the church.

Knowing the spiritual gifts that we have been given and doing those works is critical for the church.

Romans 12

4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:

5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;

7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;

8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

πŸ’₯  Notice that some have a spiritual gift of "giving".  I have seen this several times.  I have met those persons who have a strong desire to give money.

I had an aunt who loved to give.  It was more than a desire in her.  It was a spiritual gift.  She gave what she could give.  She was very good in baking and sewing and she gave in those areas with great joy.

We had a woman in our little church group who loved to give donations to the church.  She strongly supported me when I was on radio by giving money.  One day her husband  called me and said to me, "My wife has been brain washed!"  I was terribly shocked to hear this and I responded with great emotion, "Who brained washed her?"   (Then I realized he thought I was brainwashing her by causing her to give donations.)  But then he seemed to realize that was not the case and he backed down quickly and terminated the phone call.

I knew that God had put it into her heart to give.  She had a spiritual give of giving.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

I Corinthians 14

27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

(Some are set in the church to work in the church, as is the case with Pam Padgett.  God gave Pam a spiritual gift of "helps".)

Proverbs 18:16    A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

πŸ’₯ The new heaven and new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.

God has shown me this present heaven and earth will never be righteous no matter what I do.  It is that new heaven and new earth where only righteousness dwells.

Revelation 21

1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

5 And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Isaiah 65:17  God says:  For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Philippians 4:19  But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

I Timothy 6:8  And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

πŸ’₯ For I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that HE is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. (2 Tim. 1:12)

I know it was God by HIS Spirit who taught me what I know!  God opened my eyes to allow me to understand the scriptures.

Therefore God taught me by the Holy Spirit of Truth who lives in me.

I Corinthians 3:16  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

John 14:26-27  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

27 Peace I leave with you, MY peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

John 16:13-14 Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear (from God), that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.

14 HE shall glorify ME: for HE shall receive of MINE, and shall shew it unto you.

πŸ’₯ God's view of nations of this world

Barbara Preston, member of the body of Christ

Listening to one of the Uvalde Series podcasts last night, Joan said when we see something through the eyes of God, we see things differently.

Sometimes when we hear worldly people speak, the way they speak about things on this earth can make these things seem so important and impressive and powerful.

People are generally proud of the country in which they live and sometimes speak of it in glowing terms. Concerning the USA, we have heard all our lives about the great weapons of war this country has and boasting about its military and the great wealth found here and even say it is the best country on earth. And patriotism is encouraged, having a sense of love and attachment toward it.

It can all sound so wonderful and we can get caught up, ourselves, if we allow ourselves to become carried away with it. I know there have been times that this has happened to me and probably to some others too.

But what does God say about these nations of the world?

It’s always an eye opener to me when I read it and very different from how most humans view it.

I was reminded of this scripture the other day which lets us see this through God’s eyes.

Isaiah 40:15 Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, HE taketh up the isles as a very little thing.

16 And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering.

17 ALL nations before Him are as nothing; and they are counted to Him as LESS THAN NOTHING, and vanity.

And, in the end, all these things that people love and cherish on this earth will be destroyed by God and be replaced by a new heaven and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness. (2 Peter 3)

Also John reminds us:

I John 5:19  And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

πŸ’₯ Everything we can see with our natural eyes will be destroyed by God at the end of this present world.

When I keep this in mind, I relax.  For those things of this world that seem important will be gone at the end of this world.

Matthew 24

1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and HIS disciples came to HIM for to shew HIM the buildings of the temple.

2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

So why make such a big deal of things of this world that we can see with our natural eyes?

Matthew 24:36  Jesus said:  Heaven and earth shall pass away, but MY words shall not pass away.

Focus on HIS Words.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

πŸ’₯ Live in peace and follow after things that make for peace as we patiently wait for the return of Jesus.

Romans 14:19  Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

What makes for peace in my life?

* PRAYER!

* Reading the scriptures that I have collected through the years
* Taking naps
* Thinking on scriptures which are called to my mind throughout the day
* Watching shows of animals on TV shows:  "Too cute"
* Watching shows, such as English version of "House of Cards" and sometimes "Law and Order" and English version of certain mysteries on Brit Box streaming and some documentaries.

Things whereby one may edify another.

* Reading Bible
* Reading my collection of scriptures
* Reporting scriptures and concepts which have been called to my attention that day.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

John 18:36  Jesus says:  My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would MY servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is MY kingdom not from hence.

I am helped with peace when I think on this:  "My kingdom is not of this world."

This current heaven and earth as we know them will be destroyed by God at the end of this world.

I calm down when I remember this!

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

πŸ’₯ 2 Peter 3

15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To HIM be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

πŸ’₯ The apostle Paul says in the end time, "Evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse." (2 Tim. 3:13)

Paul says men will be interested in themselves and not in others.

* Men will be "fierce"(examples of increased gun violence in USA)

* Without "natural affection"(homosexual/lesbians of Romans 1:26-28  For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;)

* Covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers

* Disobedient to parents

* Unthankful, unholy

* Trucebreakers

* False accusers

* Heady, highminded

* Lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God

* Without understanding: this is rampant as they explain away the evil and make all types of statements which they think to be wise in their own eyes.  As fools they announce their many reasons! (2 Timothy 3)

They will especially be violent as they were in the days of Noah.  (Genesis 6)

Daniel 12

10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

πŸ’₯ How will we recognize The Great Tribulation.

We will recognize it when we see the happenings come upon the world.

I believe Coronavirus is an example.  March 11, 2020, when TV announced the various sports that were suspending their schedules, it seemed "unreal" to me:  cancelling NCAA Basketball tournament March Madness; cancelling NBA season; cancelling PGA golf tournaments, and such.

I was also greatly affected when I saw TV pictures showing NYC Times Square without masses of people and with very few cars on streets.

And businesses closed around the world.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

I know the various plagues described in Revelation 8; 9; 16  ... and I felt I was actually seeing some of these plagues, especially in the great fires of California in 2022, which looked like the gates of hell being opened!

If you don't know the Bible then you might not recognize the plagues when they come upon this earth.  Certainly the world and the apostate church will fail to see this connection and even many who say they believe in Jesus will be as dead people, not understanding what it is they are seeing.

While the world blamed China for Coronavirus, I thought it to be an end-time plague sent by God.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

When the sun goes dark and the moon fails to shine and the stars begin falling out of the sky then even the world will likely not recognize that God is doing something!

Matthew 24:29  Jesus says:  Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

πŸ’₯ When Jesus returns: The second coming of Jesus.

Isaiah 66

15 For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with HIS chariots like a whirlwind, to render HIS anger with fury, and HIS rebuke with flames of fire.

16 For by fire and by HIS sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

The plagues of the great tribulation bring judgment of God upon the unbelievers of both the world and the apostate churches.

πŸ’₯ I think we could be seeing one of the plagues of God in the great heat that has come upon much of this earth today.

Revelation 8:6-7  And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.

7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass (of that 1/3 of the earth) was burnt up.

πŸ’₯  I also think Coronavirus is one of the great pestilences that marks the beginning of sorrows.

Matthew 24:7-8  For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.  8  All these are the beginning of sorrows.

πŸ’₯  I think Adolph Hitler and his World War II is part of the nation rising against nation.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

πŸ’₯ God's view of time:

2 Peter 3  But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Viewed this way, since the resurrection of Jesus it would only be 2 days in the sight of God.

In God's sight the entire reign of Hitler might have been 30 seconds ago in God's sight.  So this would condense time greatly as God views time.  In our view of time Hitler was a long time ago, 80 years ago.  So this might cause us to think Hitler couldn't have been a part of the great tribulation for he was so long ago.  But the great tribulation might have started centuries ago and the plagues could be spread out over the centuries and they might even be showing up now but extend for many centuries.  I think we are seeing some of the plagues even now.

Also this explains how Jesus could have said, "I come quickly."  (Rev. 22:7)

It is not quick to us according to our "calendar" ... but looking at it by God's time, it has only been 2 days since Jesus was resurrected from the dead.

To God ... a thousand years is as one day.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

πŸ’₯ God helps us. Call on God!

Barbara Preston: Member of body of Christ

This morning I needed to call my optical shop about a pair of glasses I left there two weeks ago.

The last time I was there I picked up a couple of their business cards so I could easily access their number.

Problem was that I had no idea where I had put these cards. I found my flesh becoming irritated at the thought of having to go look for them.

When I could feel the irritation building up in me, I made myself STOP and I ask God to help me find these cards.

Of course, the flesh doesn’t like this because it wants to rule in the situation. But I disciplined my flesh, took control and asked God to help me find them.

I Peter 5:6-7  Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Immediately I was reminded of a place in my bedroom … an exact place to look.

So I went upstairs and they were right where God had told me to look!

HE is always with us and always faithful in helping us.

How very blessed we are in ALL ways to belong to Him!

 πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

πŸ’₯ One end time plague people are likely to see when it happens.

Matthew 24:29  Jesus says:  Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

Only God could cause these things to happen!  How could they explain it away?  But some people in their wisdom may try to do even that!

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

πŸ’₯ Bible tells us to pray for our rulers that we may live in peace.

1 Timothy 2

1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

I am very non-political.  I do not vote for men.

But I do pray for men who are rulers.

πŸ’₯  Donald Trump:  I prayed that he would not drop a nuclear bomb during his time in office.

πŸ’₯  Joseph Biden: I prayed that he would not lead USA into a war with Russia over Ukraine.

Also when I see Mr. Biden on TV, I often ask God to help him to walk, for he looks so physically shaky and with all the pressure on him and being 79-years-old, he looks like he might collapse physically at any time.  (He is the oldest person to ever be sworn in as president.)

And when I see Mr. Biden on TV, I often say, "Poor thing"!

Since becoming President he has had to deal with so many things:

* Coronavirus
* Trump
* Baby formula shortages
* Prices of fuel, food, gas and other things
* World problems, such as Russia/Ukraine
* His own political polls and falling approval ratings
* Numerous mass shootings in USA
* Plagues: intense heat

Revelation 16

8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.

9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give HIM (God) glory.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

As Christians, our hope is not in this present world nor in government of men.

Our hope is in God and we work to live in peace, without spot and blameless as we wait for the return of Jesus.

(This present earth will never be righteous.)

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

Amen.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Jesus will gather us to HIMSELF and take us to the new heaven and new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Matthew 24:29-31  Jesus says:

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31 And HE shall send HIS angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together HIS elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

In the meantime, one of the most important things we can do to live in peace is to pray immediately, the second something concerns us!

On today's national TV news, the announcer said something that concerned me.  Even as that TV announcer spoke, I prayed, "God ... please don't let this happen!"

Instantly after praying this, I was at complete peace on the issue.

The apostle Paul says to us:

Philippians 6:6-7  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯
