πŸ’₯ Live in peace and follow after peace as we patiently wait for the return of Jesus.

Romans 14:19  Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

John 18:36  Jesus says:  MY kingdom is not of this world: if MY kingdom were of this world, then would MY servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is MY kingdom not from hence.

This current heaven and earth as we know them will be destroyed by God at the end of this world.

2 Peter 3:10-14

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

At the time appointed by God, Jesus will appear in the clouds.

First, the dead in Christ will be raised to meet Jesus in the air.

Then the elect of God will be raised from this earth and changed into new spiritual bodies to meet Jesus in the air.

After that, this heaven and earth will be destroyed by God at the end.

Everything we can see now with our natural eyes will be destroyed by God.

When the disciples came to Jesus, praising the temple, Jesus told them all these things would be destroyed at the end.

Matthew 24:1-2  And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and HIS disciples came to HIM for to shew HIM the buildings of the temple.

2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

Matthew 24:35-38  Jesus says:

35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but MY words shall not pass away.

36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but MY Father only.

37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

So let us live in peace as long as we remain on this earth and invest in godliness which is profitable for this life and the life to come.

I Timothy 4:7-8  But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

We exercise ourselves unto godliness as we read the Bible and meditate on the Word of God so we can do the Word of God.

The things of God are like that pearl of great price.

Matthew 13:45-46  Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:  Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

Nothing compares to the Word of God.  It is above all riches of this world and above all that man can desire.
