* Hymn: I'm pressing on the upward way

(Click forward arrow > to play music:)

1.  I’m pressing on the upward way,
New heights I’m gaining every day;
Still praying as I onward bound,
Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.

Chorus:

Lord, lift me up, and let me stand
By faith on Heaven's tableland;

A higher plane than I have found,
Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.

2.  My heart has no desire to stay
Where doubts arise and fears dismay;
Though some may dwell where these abound,
My prayer, my aim, is higher ground.

3.  I want to live above the world,
Though Satan’s darts at me are hurled;
For faith has caught the joyful sound,
The song of saints on higher ground.

4.   I want to scale the utmost height
And catch a gleam of glory bright;
But still I’ll pray till rest I’ve found,
Lord, lead me on to higher ground.

Scripture pertaining to this hymn:

v. 3.  I want to live above the world,

Matthew 7:24-27    Jesus says    whosoever heareth these sayings of Mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

And every one that heareth these sayings of Mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:  And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

We live above the world by doing that Word given us by God by HIS Spirit.  We press on to higher ground each time we hear the Word of God and do the Word of God.  We build our house on the Word of God by doing the Word of God and when we live that way, our house will never fall!

And we are recreated in the image of Christ each time we do the Word of God.

***

v. 4  But still I’ll pray till rest I’ve found,
Lord, lead me on to higher ground.

James 4:7   Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Pray:  Pour your heart out to God if anything concerns you.

Then use that scripture or concept to build yourself in the faith, thereby resisting the thoughts sent by the devil with that which God has brought to your attention by His Spirit.

Keep focused on that which God has given you in the matter at hand and every time a memory comes that would pull  you  down, make your mind return to thinking about that which God has given you in the issue.

II Corinthians 10:3-5    For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

* When God judges.

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Exodus 32:34-35   God says:  in the day when I visit I will visit their sin upon them.  And the Lord plagued the people, because they made the calf, which Aaron made.

That is Old Testament.  But what about New Testament?

The apostle Paul says:

II Corinthians 5:9-11   Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of HIM.  For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.  Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men;

***

Galatians 6:7-9    Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.  For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.  And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.  As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

***

Every time we agree with the Word of God and confess that Word before men, Jesus will confess us before God.

We confess "The Word" by both our words and our actions.  We do that which we believe.

***

Exodus 33:1-3   And the Lord said unto Moses, Depart, and go up hence, thou and the people which thou hast brought up out of the land of Egypt, unto the land which I sware unto Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, Unto thy seed will I give it:  And I will send an angel before thee; and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite: Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midst of thee; for thou art a stiffnecked people: lest I consume thee in the way.

Earlier, in Exodus 32, God also called the nation of Israel a "stiffnecked" people.

v. 9  And the Lord said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people:

Stiffnecked means:  arrogant & stubborn

- disdainful ... looking down on those considered to be inferior
- determined not to change attitude in spite of good reason to do so

***

If there is any good thing in us it is by the grace of God who gave that good thing to us.

Paul explains:

II Corinthians 3:5    Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;

To look down on another person is to act as if we, of ourselves, are "good", or have achieved something apart from God, glorying in ourselves rather than in God.

Of course this would bring wrath upon us.

Hymn: On Christ the solid Rock I stand

(Click forward arrow > to play music:)

  1.  My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus Christ, my righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

Chorus:

On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,

All other ground is sinking sand.

2.  When darkness veils His lovely face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.

3.   His oath, His covenant, His blood,
Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.

4.  When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found;
In Him, my righteousness, alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.

Scripture pertaining to this hymn:

v. 1   But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

Jesus' name:  the  Word of God ... I wholly lean on that Word given me by God ... That Word which comes down to me from heaven pertaining to the issue with which I am currently dealing.

v.2   I rest on His unchanging grace;

Every morning there is light from the sun.  This is unchanging until the end of this present world.

Genesis 8:22   While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,

Matthew 7:24-27 Jesus says:     whosoever heareth these sayings of Mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:  And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

And every one that heareth these sayings of Mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:  And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Jesus says:

John 14:6
  I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

The WORD given us by the Holy Spirit shows us the way to go.  The WORD is Jesus.

John 1:1-4   In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him (The Word); and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him (The Word) was life; and the life (The Word) was the light  of men.

***

John 6:33    For the bread of God is HE which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

35  And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to ME shall never hunger; and he that believeth on ME shall never thirst.

48  I am that bread of life.
51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is MY flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink His blood, ye have no life in you.

We eat the flesh of Jesus and drink HIS blood as we live in the Word of God given to us by the Holy Spirit and as we do those things instructed in the Bible.  The Word is the Lord's supper.

54 Whoso eateth MY flesh, and drinketh MY blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

55 For MY flesh is meat indeed, and MY blood is drink indeed.

56 He that eateth MY flesh, and drinketh MY blood, dwelleth in ME, and I in him. 57 As the living Father hath sent ME, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth ME, even he shall live by ME.

58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.

John 1:14   And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld HIS glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

A few of many things THE WORD says to us, the children of God:

* I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.  (Joshua 1:5 & Hebrews 13:5)

The Word spoken to our minds by Jesus' Holy Spirit will always come to pass.

* No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of Me, saith the Lord.  (Isaiah 54:17)

* Jesus, The Word says ... lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.  (Matthew 28:20)

* my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (THE WORD). (Philippians 4:19)

* If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.  (James 1:5)

* Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.  (James 1:17)

Matthew 16:13-18  When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?

And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.

He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but My Father which is in heaven.

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build MY church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Peter was blessed because of the word God revealed to him. The Word revealed by God by HIS Spirit to us is the rock. The gates of hell will not prevail against that Word revealed to us by God.

***

v. 4  When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found;
In Him, my righteousness, alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.

The apostle Peter tells us how to live and how to be found  "in HIM" when HE comes.

II Peter 3:10-14    But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,  12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of Him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

The only way we can live continually "in peace, without spot, and blameless", is to pray over every issue that touches our lives this day and every day, one problem at a time.  And to be cleansed by God that day by hearing what God would bring to us in the trouble.

***

Our trust must be at all times in the blood of Jesus that cleanses us from all sins.

Hebrews 9:22  without shedding of blood is no remission.

God showed it to me this way:

I have shed no blood to pay for my sins. Jesus shed HIS blood to pay for my sins. Therefore my sins are paid for by Jesus' blood.

When thoughts of sins I did in past come to my mind, I must refuse to dwell on them. Instead I must reflect on the truth that all those past sins have been paid for by the blood of Jesus. There is nothing I can do of myself to make up for past acts which I now regret. I must trust my salvation in all things to have been bought by the blood of Jesus. I must keep myself in this truth at all times.

Instruction in Righteousness: Revelation 12

And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him
.
10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them.

Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.

14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.

16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

One Word from God by HIS Spirit Changes Everything

Book:  Great Is THY Faithfulness
Chapter  10
Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

I was devastated by what I had seen in sins being committed by big-time ministers and the perversions of the Bible they were doing in their preaching.

I had seen what the advertising agencies were doing to promote these ministers.

After this, for more than 30-years I tried to find a church group that I could attend.  But each time, I would go to a church group, I would witness pastor twisting scripture, making up lies about portions of Bible, changing doctrine from that which is in Bible, approving unrepentant sin in congregation, without pastors even showing shame nor repenting when I went to them with that which they were doing in the church.

Incredible lies were being taught from pulpits.

- One pastor taught the woman taken in adultery in John 8 was naked from the waist up when she was brought before Jesus.  A complete fabrication of scripture.

- One pastor taught that Sarah and Hagar were 1/2 sisters.  When I asked him where that is in Bible he became angry and said, "All right ... it's not in the Bible."  (He just made it up.)

- A Baptist pastor was eliminating a portion of scripture when he spoke to his congregation, omitting Jesus' reference to the subject of "fasting"

- One pastor (also a professor from Dallas Theological Seminary) was teaching that tongues are from the devil ... but the apostle Paul told the church, "Forbid not to speak with tongues."  I Corinthians 14:39

If a person claims that which another person is doing or teaching is from a devil when it is from the Holy Spirit, this is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit and is the one sin that is unforgivable and the person is in danger of eternal damnation.  Mark 3:28-29

*****

It was a terrible thing to witness that which was happening in the church groups, and I didn't understand how the pastors could do these things against the Bible.  I was angry, depressed, bewildered.  No one repented.  And their congregations where they spoke these lies and distortions of scripture, just sat there with big-smiles on their faces, going along with pastor, not checking what pastor was saying with the Bible.

This fit a terrible dream given to me by God concerning speakers gassing their congregations to death with their doctrines.

Poison Gas Dream 1979
Destruction was everywhere.  (in the churches)
In this dream, a meeting was going on.  A man was speaking to a group of people.  I went in and sat down and began to listen.

A second man rushed into the room and said, "Stop ... wait ... can't you see ... It's too late ... It's already begun."
The first man resumed speaking.

I looked out the windows to see what had "already begun".

I was very shocked at what I saw.

There was a tall pole with a yellow civil defense speaker on top of the pole.  I saw a gas coming out of that speaker.  The gas was poisonous and was going to kill people and it was coming directly toward us!

The shocking thing was the speaker that was set there to warn us was the instrument being used to distribute the gas which would end up killing us!

I looked at the man who was seated next to me.  He had a very big smile on his face as he attentively looked directly at the man who was speaking.  But then I realized, this man was dead!  He was a corpse.

I looked at the other people in the room and they were all dead.

As I sat there listening to the man who was speaking to the dead group of people, I began to yawn and I realize the gas was killing me too as I sat there among them.

*****

In early 2017, God spoke one word to me to show me what I had been seeing in church groups for the past 40+ years as pastors twisted doctrine and omitted scripture and changed doctrine from that in the Bible and would not repent.

God said to me:  "Restraint"

I knew this word was in a scripture in II Thessalonians 2 (NASB) ...

3-8    Let no one in any way deceive you, for it (the day of the Lord) will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes (Bible) and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.

Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things?

And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed.

(That which restrained antichrist was the scripture.  When churches removed portions of scripture, the restraint holding antichrist out of the churches was removed, and the apostasy began in the church group.)

For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming;

What I had been seeing all these years in churches, where pastors taught things other than Bible doctrine and where pastors made up stories and changed doctrine away from the Bible, was the end-time apostasy spoken of in II Thessalonians 2.

Now I understood and it helped me so much to know this.

HYMN:  I LOVE TO TELL THE STORY

I love to tell the story
Of unseen things above,
Of Jesus and HIS glory,
Of Jesus and HIS love.

I love to tell the story,
Because I know 'tis true,
It satisfies my longings
As nothing else can do.

(Chorus)

I love to tell the story,
'Twill be my theme in glory,
To tell the old, old story,
Of Jesus and HIS love.

The devil will twist the word God gives if we allow this to happen.

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Jesus warned:  And HE said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.   For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath. Mark 4:24-25

Our own fleshly ways and devils can pervert our hearing.

An example of this:

A woman told me her parents are Pentecostal church people.

Unknown to me, this woman had stored up evil against her father and desired to prove his doctrine to be wrong.

I realized this was in her heart when she began asking me about "tongues" in the church.

I told her the apostle Paul said:  "Forbid not to speak with tongues."  I Corinthians 14:39

She gleefully said, "So Paul forbid the speaking in tongues?"  (She thought she had her proof to fit her perceived doctrine and to use to attack her father.)

I said, "NO ... Paul said, 'Forbid not to speak with tongues.' "

(This woman was so twisted that I'm not even sure she could hear what I said the second time.)

I avoided meeting with this woman in the future for I knew she was eaten up with what she wanted to hear rather than seeking truth.

Titus 3:9-11   But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.  A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;  Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.

Heretick:  One who refuses to submit to the power of truth.

***

It is similar to the following.

The rulers of the temple in Jesus day wanted to find grounds whereby they could accuse Jesus.  They were not looking to understand truth from God.  They asked questions of Jesus thinking they could trap Jesus in the words HE spoke.  Their heart was evil so they judged what Jesus said in an evil way.

John 2:18-22   Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?  (trying to trap Jesus)

Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?

But HE spake of the temple of HIS body.

(They completely missed what Jesus was really saying and perverted Jesus words into their own evil thoughts because evil was in them and they were not really seeking truth.  They only wanted to trap Jesus so they could justify killing HIM.)

Later when the Jews examined Jesus, desiring to find grounds to use to crucify Him, here is the way Jesus' statement was reported by those who gave witness against Jesus.

Mark 14:57-58     And there arose certain, and bare false witness against HIM, saying, We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.

(Their witness against Jesus was false for they thought Jesus said one thing while Jesus actually meant something else though HE did speak about raising "this" temple but "this" temple was his own body.)

If we take evil thoughts against another into our hearts and allow those evil thoughts to dwell in us without taking such to God for HIS judgment, we will likely find those evil thoughts to fester inside us and at some time they grow to the point we can no longer keep them in us and they will come forth from our own heart out of our mouth to bring unwarranted destruction against an innocent person.

Therefore we are greatly warned:

Proverbs 4:23   Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

The way the devil works is this way:

A person helps us.  The devil will look for ways to accuse that person who helps us.  The devil suggests (to our mind) something against that person.

Instead of allowing accusations to lodge in our heart and in our mind, against that person, we learn to begin immediately to call to God's attention the good things that same person has done to help us and we ask God to bless that person!

And when we do think another person has trespassed against us, we learn to turn to God in prayer, forgiving that person and asking God not to hold what he did toward us against him .

By these spiritual ways, we stop the works of devils as devils would try to work in us to destroy us and others.

And we ask God to help us in the temptation.

We who are appointed by God know we are likely to be misunderstood by some church people when we share things of God for not all church people have good hearts.

They who are fleshly persecute those who are spiritual.  And this happens in the church itself, for both fleshly and spiritual often sit in the church together, though separated by the Spirit, one having the Spirit and the other not hearing the Spirit but judging what he hears by his own fleshly thinking.

But we suffer the wrong persecution from the religious people who wrongly hear what we say.  We speak because we believe that which we say is what God has given us and is what God wants us to say and also we speak that word for edification of those among us who have the Spirit and who have true hearts, desiring truth, although we know the others will often misunderstand what we say when we speak.

Once I said to God, "If I speak that, some will misunderstand."

God said to me, "They misunderstand the Bible."

I said, "Oh ..."  and I spoke anyway knowing some would misunderstand me.

Sometimes we are shocked by how wrongly those in our own church groups heard us!

***

A woman who had been in our own church group for almost 40-years, leveled many accusations against me.

It was so shocking to me for I didn't know she was holding things in her heart against me.

One day while I spoke with her by phone, she just "exploded", bringing all her stored up accusations against me.

She heard the word I spoke to her "wrongly" and devils twisted what she heard from me, and she listened to what those devils said and followed them and ended up attacking me.

She stored in her own heart the words devils spoke to her against me and she thought upon that instead of taking each thought to God in prayer in a willingness to be purified from those devilish thoughts brought to her mind against me.

Instead, through decades, she allowed the evil thoughts of devils against me to fester inside her and pile up in her heart and in her mind, until finally these things she was holding in her heart erupted against me.

(The devil brings evil thoughts to each of us.  We must take these thoughts to God in prayer and allow these thoughts of evil to be uprooted by God.)

If we store evil thoughts in our hearts, evil will grow in our hearts, and at some point evil fruit will come forth from our mouths, doing harm to ourselves and to others.

***

This woman's words against me could have stopped me from doing the ministry except for one thing.

I turned strongly to God and asked HIM to judge me.

(I told God I must have HIS judgment concerning me.  For if I really did these things against this woman then there was no way I could be HIS minister.)

That same night, God gave me a dream to show me the truth:

In this dream, I opened the front door to my house.  Someone had dumped bags of garbage outside the front door of my house and all the way down the front of my house.  I would have to find someone to remove all these bags of  garbage.

I believe God was showing me this woman had stored up her own "garbage" in her mind against me.

And her thoughts against me were "garbage".

Through the months and years, this woman would speak words which I believed were words of knowledge and words of wisdom (spiritual gifts from God)But the problem was she held these words inside herself  and rarely shared them with the church where these words might be used to help the church.

When I would speak to her about something, she often said, "I thought of that."  (But she didn't share it with me or with the church when she thought of "that".)

I was trying to get her to share these concepts, in a timely manner, when they came to her for I believed it was God giving her spiritual gifts.

I Corinthians 12
4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.  5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.  6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;  10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as HE will.

(These spiritual gifts are given to us by God to help the church.  We have to speak these things to the church in a timely way to help the church.  If we receive information and hold it inside us, it profits nothing.  This is what I tried to teach this woman... to recognize when she had a word of wisdom or a word of knowledge and to share these with the church in a timely way when she received them.)

Amazingly, she looked upon what I spoke as if I were "throwing rocks" at her when I tried to get her to see that she should share these things when she received them.

Finally she exploded and said it was as if I had been throwing rocks at her all these years.  She began telling me various things I'd said to her but her words were very distorted and she was speaking with great anger and vehemence!

I finally stopped her and told her we needed to get Pam Pagett to witness our conversation.  I got Pam on the extension.  Again while Pam was listening, she erupted against me.  Pam tried to intervene but neither of us could reason with this woman.

It was very hard for us to go through this and I would think it would also have been hard for this woman.

I was sorry for each of us.

Sometimes devils do win.

But the warning to us is not to allow devils to win.

Evil thoughts will come to us from devils.

Paul said:  For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:   (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;  (II Corinthians 10)

If we allow him to do so, the devil will destroy us.

But we do not have to allow this to happen.

James 4:7   Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Take the matter to God for HIM to judge.

Resist the devil with that which God gives concerning the matter.

Keep resisting each time a memory of the situation comes to mind by citing that which God has shown you.  And go forward in that truth that is shown to you by God.

Hold fast... for Jesus says, concerning the last days:

Matthew 24:12-13    And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.  But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

***

The war rages, especially as we draw nearer to the return of Jesus.

We must fight this war in spiritual ways and keep fighting as long as necessary with the weapons given us by God in the matter.

I once said to my mother:  "You can go down, but I will not go down with you."

(Why should both of us be destroyed?)

My mother straightened up.

This church woman who came against me should be same way.  I must not allow myself to be destroyed with her.  I must fight with that which God has shown me and keep fighting as long as is needed.  Believing what God showed me in the matter.

And I must not allow my grief for this woman in her rebellion to destroy me.

I must go forward in the joy of God's Word and in HIS peace, deliberately making my mind focus on that.
