* Keeping our brithright

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

The birthright for the Christian is the Word of God.

To give up the Word of God in order to gain perceived advantages on this present earth would be as Esau who gave up his birthright for a morsel of flesh.

Therefore we hold fast to the Word of God in all times and in all circumstances for to violate and change the instructions given by God to us is to separate us from God Himself and to cast aside our inheritance for that which seems advantageous to our own flesh.

A few examples:

* A man wants to marry a divorced woman.  To do so requires him to commit adultery, casting aside Matthew 5:32 ... But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

* A woman wants to divorce her husband and marry another man.  To do so requires her to violate the commandment of the Lord given in I Corinthians 7:10-11...  And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:  But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

* Desire for fame and riches can cause a compromise of the word of God.
Matthew 4:8-10 ...  the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;  And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Hebrews 12:14-17    Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:  Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.  For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

Concerning following peace and holiness with all men ... We might not be able to keep company with a person but even then we can follow peace with that person by just walking away from that person and by praying for that person, when led by the Spirit to do so, and by keeping all bitterness out of our hearts toward that person through prayer.
