* God speaks of "perverse" in both Old and New Testament.

Deuteronomy 32 ... Moses speaking to the elders of the congregation

3 Because I will publish the name of the Lord: ascribe ye greatness unto our God.

4 HE is the Rock, HIS work is perfect: for all HIS ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is HE.

5 They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverse and crooked generation.

Perverse:  Turned away from that which is right and good

Acts 20 ... apostle Paul speaking to the elders of the church at Ephesus

28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which HE hath purchased with HIS own blood.

29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

I John 2

19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
