* As we see the day of the Lord approaching.

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

We can expect to see the wickedness of man increase before Jesus returns and the wrath of God comes upon this earth for the wrath of God comes because of the wickedness.

It is like the "leaves on the tree" signaling the coming of a season, the wickedness of man signals the coming judgment of God.

Revelation 14:14-20  And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.

And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.

And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.

And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.

And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.

And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.

And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.

I often use the following words Paul gave to Timothy to help me to know what to do.

Paul said:  Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. (I Timothy 4:13)

I read Bible.  I present exhortations warning the church.  I present doctrines to remind the church of the Word of God.

And I recall the following instruction:

Hebrews 10:25-31   Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

For we know HIM that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto ME, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge HIS people.

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

In reading through the Bible, I reached Exodus 32.

Moses had gone up to the mount of God.

v.1   And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.

I thought of how we can get pulled away by things of our daily lives and begin to think on this and how we can pull back when we turn to Bible and begin reading Bible.

Exodus 32:7-8   And the Lord said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves: They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

How quickly the things of this world can take over and seem important and even seem exciting.

It is good to have a daily pattern whereby we read through the Bible.  And hopefully this blog will encourage us daily in the ways of God and be helpful to each of us.

For we can corrupt ourselves with this world easily and quickly ... but the Word of God refreshes us and pulls us back to God.
