* The "rules" for the New Testament Church as set forth by God in the New Testament Bible.

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

We, the New Testament Church, have one rule book showing us the way to go and the will of God.

That rule book is the New Testament Bible.

II Timothy 3:16-17    All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:  That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

***

Concerning divorce and remarriage:

To the men, Jesus instructs:

Matthew 5:32    But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

(If the faithful wife remarries while husband is living, she will commit adultery, but her husband who put her away will be the cause of her adultery, and the man who marries this divorced woman commits adultery.)

***

To the women:

I Corinthians 7:10:11  And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:  But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

Mark 10:12   Jesus says:  And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.

***

Concerning fornication:

I Corinthians 6:15-16   Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.  What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith HE, shall be one flesh.

I Corinthians 7:2-5   to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.  Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.  The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.  Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.

***

Concerning homosexuals and lesbians:

Romans 1:26-28   For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:  And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

***

Concerning sins of the flesh:

Galatians 5:19-21  Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

***

A man once said to his mother,  "The Bible is so legalistic."

I was upset when she told me this and I turned to God with what he said, and was reminded of the following:

Jesus said:  Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.  Matthew 7:13-14

And by the Holy Spirit, I saw this truth:

People of the world want to be "free to sin" ... thinking themselves to be approved by God in their sin.

(The Bible is as a schoolmaster to bring those who are being saved "to" God, for as they read what God says they have opportunity to see their sin and repent and receive God and HIS Spirit.)

People of God, those people who are born again and have the Holy Spirit of God, want to be  "free from sin" ...

The rules of God in the Bible show the way of God whereby after we are born again, we can walk "free from sin" by doing those things written in the New Testament Bible.

Also each time we read the New Testament Bible and a scripture stands out to us and we do that Word, we put on Jesus who is The Word, being recreated in the image of Jesus, The Word.
