Wisdom

Steve Jobs (one of the founders of Apple) designed an IPad tablet.

One of the writers of manuals said Jobs knew our needs before we knew our needs.  

But here is how I view wisdom.

John 3:27    John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.

Proverbs 2:6    For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of His mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.


All wisdom is from God.

If there is real wisdom it is because God gave that wisdom to man.

And I believe God gave such to a man to benefit us, the children of God.

Who benefits from tablets today... I do!

In the 5th generation Kindle, Amazon built their thinnest Kindle to that date.

After that, the Kindles of next generations became thicker and heavier and the price went down.

I suspect the thinner units cost more to build thus higher cost.

My Kindle 5th generation went black, dead.  I ordered a 7th generation 10" even though I knew it was thicker and heavier than my 5th generation.  Then the day after I had ordered this, I found on Amazon shop a 10" 5th generation Kindle.

I was sorry I had ordered the 10" before seeing this. 

I tried to buy a 5th generation from Best Buy a couple of weeks ago.

They had 5th generation 10" on display but they only sold 7th generations.

I tried to buy their demo but they said they could not sell me the demo because they didn't own the demo.

I didn't dream the 5th generation could still be purchased.  But there was one on Amazon.

Then I realized I could go ahead and order the 5th even though I had the 10th coming in on Tuesday.

That way I can compare the sound in both units ... and see the pictures ... and see if the microphone is on the keyboard which would allow me to dictate emails. 

(I suspect the microphone might still be on the 5th. Kindle removed the microphone from the 6th & 7th generations but it was on the 5th generation.  Interesting to me that the 5th generation which I just ordered is more expensive than the newest Kindle which is 7th generation.  The older version is more expensive.  I suspect it takes more money to build it because it is thinner and has the dictation system.)

I can compare the two units and send one Kindle back, or maybe even choose to keep both units.

This really seemed a perfect solution to my need for another Kindle.

I see God as being behind all this!

So when we begin to admire someone for wisdom, let's learn to focus on the fact that all wisdom is from God and let us praise and admire God who gives wisdom to man, rather than praising that man who transmitted God's wisdom to us.

There is a penalty when we worship man.

Romans 1:25    Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus and took Him.

51 And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest's, and smote off his ear.  (This was Peter who drew the sword.  See John 18:10)

52 Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.

53 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and HE shall presently give Me more than twelve legions of angels?
54 But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?

55 In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to take Me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on Me.
56 But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled.

Then all the disciples forsook Him, and fled.

57 And they that had laid hold on Jesus led Him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled.

58 But Peter followed Him afar off unto the high priest's palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end.

59 Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put Him to death;
60 But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none.

At the last came two false witnesses,
61 And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.

62 And the high priest arose, and said unto Him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?

63 But Jesus held His peace, And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.

64 Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

65 Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard His blasphemy.

66 What think ye?

They answered and said, He is guilty of death.

67 Then did they spit in His face, and buffeted Him; and others smote Him with the palms of their hands,
68 Saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote thee?

69 Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee.
70 But he denied before them all, saying, I know not what thou sayest.

71 And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said unto them that were there, This fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth.

72 And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man.

73 And after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said to Peter, Surely thou also art one of them; for thy speech bewrayeth thee.

74 Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man.

And immediately the cock crew.

75 And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.

And he went out, and wept bitterly.

Can you believe in the faithfulness of God?

Can you have faith in God doing what HE says HE will do?

Great in the kingdom of heaven


Jesus says:

Matthew 5:18-19    For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven:

but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Many churches today are teaching a twisted form of doctrine which explains away the rules set up by God for the church.

They have a form of doctrine which excuses sins saying we are not under "the law".

But the love of God fulfills the law because the love of God will not harm his neighbor.

Therefore the love of God would not do such things as adultery nor fornication for such would harm someone else.  (Also adultery and fornication are sins in the sight of God.)

We of the NT church have Jesus as our sacrifice for sins therefore we no longer do the OT sacrifices of animals for sin according to OT law.

But it is foolish to think we eliminate sin by approving sin and by continuing in sin.

Jesus said to the woman taken in adultery:  "Go, and sin no more."   John 8


Hebrews 10:25-31    exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,  But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

For we know Him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto Me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge His people.

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Jesus Died For Our Sins To Pay For Our Sins ... We Must Put Past Sins Away From Us By Faith In The Word

 In the New Covenant, God says HE will not remember our sins.

Heb. 8 ...10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to ME a people: 11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know ME, from the least to the greatest. 12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

After we are born again, we enter into newness of life.  The old man which we once were in the flesh is crucified with Christ.  We are "buried" with HIM. (Baptism is a symbol of this.)  And we are given now the Spirit of God so we have another spirit living in us.  We are "raised" now with Christ so we can serve God, keeping down our flesh by the Spirit.  Following the Spirit instead of our flesh.

Our past sins have been paid for by the blood of Jesus, HIS Sacrifice for our sins.  God says HE will not remember our sins.  Neither should we do so.  And certainly we should not go about telling another person about those sins we once committed unless we are using them by the Holy Spirit as an example of salvation from sin.

Some people refuse to accept us as born again.  They remember our sins.  But God doesn't.  

Also we see that if we walk in the light, we are continually cleansed by the blood of Jesus.

I Jn. 1:7 ...   But if we walk in the light, as HE is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ HIS Son cleanseth us from all sin.

We must forgive those who do not understand being born again when they keep referring to our sins of the past.  And we must not think on other people's sins of the past, especially if that person has been born again.

We walk in the light of forgiveness ... through the sacrifice of Jesus who paid for our sins with HIS own blood.

In the KJV we read.


James 5:16 ...  Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed.

The KJV was written keeping as close as possible to the original manuscrips.  Other versions, NASB & NIV were written to try to put KJV into "modern language" and in doing so they changed the above scripture to read "Confess your sins one to another."

But sins are very different from a fault.

A fault is often a problem of character trait built up from childhood training or experiences.  For example, a person might be shy and be driven to silence because of being taught that way.  Some people as children are taught to only think good of people and therefore they are often deceived by evil.  Evil exists but some people want to see only good.  These people might need help in prayer to overcome this stronghold.  Jesus said:  Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.  Mt. 10:16

I believe the correct version of James 5:16 is "Confess your faults" ... (not sins) KJV

And even in confessing your faults, I would be very careful about this.  First I would go directly to God and ask HIM for help before going to another person.  And I would wait, giving time for God to deal with this.  If I did go to another person, I would be very careful in choosing that person.

A sin is a work of the flesh through the lust (desires) of the nature of man.

Gal. 5 ... 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness (defrauding another), lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance (varying, debating), emulations (competing, trying to outdo others), wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Confess your sins directly to God in prayer ... if you have not already done so.  If you have already done this, you should believe by faith that God is faithful to forgive you those sins and not keep confessing them as if you do not believe they are forgiven.

Believe in the faithfulness of God to do what HE says HE will do.

Believe the Bible. 



I Jn. 1:9 ... If we confess our sins, HE is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Confess your sins to God who has power to forgive your sins and walk forward in the light of God being cleansed constantly by the blood of Christ.  

God might have a person go to the person sinned against and repent ...

And walk in the light of the word and the blood of Jesus cleanses us continually from all sin.

Jesus tells us how to enter in

Jesus says:

Matthew 7:13-14    Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

You can't go just any way and say "Jesus is Lord and I am a Christian", and be saved.

For if you go a way of fornication, adultery, homosexuality, drunkenness and other ways of the flesh, Jesus is not your Lord for you go opposite to Jesus, The Word.

So many churches today accept sin in the congregation.  

Jesus told the woman taken in adultery:  "Go, and sin no more."  John 8:11

To continue in sin denies Jesus, the Word.

The apostle Paul warned the church as follows:

I Corinthians 6:9-10    Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate (homosexuals), nor abusers of themselves with mankind,  Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

Do not be deceived by today's church groups where sin is excused and everyone approved in the continuation of sin under the guise of love.

In Bible we see that we love God when we keep HIS commandments.

I John 2:3-5    And hereby we do know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.  He that saith, I know Him, and keepeth not His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
But whoso keepeth His word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in Him.

So Jesus says:

*   Enter ye in at the strait gate

Matthew 5:32   But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.


I Corinthians 7:10-11    And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:  But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.


I Corinthians 7:2    to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.


Romans 1:26-28    concerning homosexuals and lesbians ...  For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.  And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;


Galatians 5:19-21   concerning drunkenness and other works of the flesh ... Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

(Drunkenness is not a disease but is a sin ... a work of the flesh of man.)

You are not going to be able to go against the Word of God in these matters and inherit the kingdom of God.

You cannot continue in sins of the flesh for to do such denies the blood of Christ which redeemed us from the sins of the flesh.

And neither do we approve them in their sins but rather we share the fact that the Bible teaches us these things are "sins" of the flesh and we tell them to repent from these sins and do them no more just as Jesus told us.

If you really belong to God, you will not continue in sins of the flesh.

And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and His disciples came to Him for to shew Him the buildings of the temple.

And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

And as He sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of Thy coming, and of the end of the world?

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.  For many shall come in My name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

(Many will come saying "I, Jesus, am the Christ,"  Jesus is Lord ... and because they say "Jesus is Lord," people will listen to them and they will therefore deceive many in the last days.)

Matthew 24:6   
And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for My name's sake.

10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

25 Behold, I have told you before.

26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, He is in the desert; go not forth: behold, He is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

(Everyone will see HIM when HE comes.)

28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31 And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away.

36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Works of the Flesh Defined According to Bible

Galatians 5 ... 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these;

Adultery, fornication, uncleanness (defrauding another), lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance (to vary, debate), emulations (compete to try to out do another), wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,  Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Adultery:  sexual unfaithfulness to husband by wife or to wife by husband ... divorced woman who marries another man ... man who marries divorced woman.

Mt. 5:32 ...  Jesus says ... Whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

Romans 7:2-3 ...  For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.  So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man. 

I Cor. 7:10-11 ...   And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:  But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

Mt. 5:28 ... Jesus says ... But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Fornication:  sex outside of marriage ... two become one flesh at time of sexual intercourse. 

I Cor. 6:15-18 ...  Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.  What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith HE, shall be one flesh.  But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
 

Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

Uncleanness:  defrauding another for gain  

I Thess. 4:6-7 ...   That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.  For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

Lasciviousness:  lust (not just sexual but other lusts also) ... could be lust for power, for money, for praise of men, for things, for glory of man

Mt. 4 ... 1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil...  8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;  And saith unto HIM, All these things will I give THEE, if THOU wilt fall down and worship me.  Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and HIM only shalt thou serve.

I Jn. 2:15-17 ...   Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.  For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.  And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Idolatry:  

Col. 3:5-7 ...   Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:  In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.

 Witchcraft:   Trying to bless or curse, but with power not of God. (superstition)

Examples of witchcraft today:  Clicking glasses together at dinner, trying to evoke "good luck" or "charm" from some unknown source ... Sports fans often try to evoke curses or evil upon opposing team by strange hand signals ... belief in various superstition such as bad luck for 3 to use same match  and saying such as things always happen in threes which is saying of man but not in Bible and not even correct always.

Hatred:  

I Jn. 4:20-21 ...  If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?  And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

Variance:  Disagree ... quarrel ... to "vary" with another and enter into verbal disputing

II Tim. 2:23-26 ...   But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.  And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,  In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;  And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Emulations: To try to equal or surpass another, typically by imitation.

Jude ...  17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;  How that they told you there should be mockers (imitators) in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.  These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.

Acts 20:29-30 ... Paul says to the church ...   For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.  Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

Wrath:  Extreme anger, often with malice ... wanting to see enemy get what you think he deserves.

Romans 12:19 ... Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Strife:  Usually verbal disputings to try to put another person down and get the best of him in fleshly disagreements.

Seditions:  Advocating the overthrow of established authority, often through rioting or demonstrating.

My kingdom is not of this world, says Jesus ... Jn. 18

Heresies:  Trying to establish doctrine different from Bible ...

Titus 3:9-11 ...  But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.  A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.

Envyings:  Desiring that which another has for yourself.

Romans 13:9-10 ...  For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.  Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Murders:  The taking of a natural life and bringing a natural death ... or the taking of something from another which brings the form of death, making that person lifeless.

Drunkenness:  The Bible defines drunkenness as a work of the flesh, a sin of the flesh, not an illness.

Eph. 5:18 ...  And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

Revellings:  "Partying" ... participating in worldly orgys of the flesh.

Gal. 5 ... of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

If you are born of the Spirit of God you cannot continue in these works of the flesh.  One by one, you will put such away, yielding to God's Spirit.

Gal. 5 ...  22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,  Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.  And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.  Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.

25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.
26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.

27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.
28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,
30 And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.
32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.

33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

34 Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:
35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.
36 Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.

37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see Me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
