Great in the kingdom of heaven

Jesus says:

Matthew 5:18-19    For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven:

but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Comments by Joan Boney:

Many churches today are teaching a twisted form of doctrine which explains away the rules set up by God for the church.

They have a form of doctrine which excuses sins saying we are not under "the law".

But the love of God fulfills the law because the love of God will not harm his neighbor.

Therefore the love of God would not do such things as adultery nor fornication for such would harm someone else.  (Also adultery and fornication are sins in the sight of God.)

We of the NT church have Jesus as our sacrifice for sins therefore we no longer do the OT sacrifices of animals for sin according to OT law.

But it is foolish to think we eliminate sin by approving sin and by continuing in sin.

Jesus said to the woman taken in adultery:  "Go, and sin no more."   John 8

Hebrews 10:25-31    exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,  But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

For we know Him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto Me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge His people.

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
