When the WORD comes, division follows

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

The WORD is light.

When the WORD comes it divides the light from the darkness.

*****

John 7:40-43    Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth this is the Prophet.  Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, Shall Christ come out of Galilee?  Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?

So there was a division among the people because of Him.

Turn on the light.  The darkness flees.

Jesus explained:

Luke 12:51-53    Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:

For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.

The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

When the WORD came to Noah, did that WORD unite Noah to the people or divide Noah from the people?

When the WORD came to Abraham, did that WORD unite Abraham to his family or divide him from them?

When the WORD came to Paul, he was divided from the Pharisees whom he was serving.

When the WORD comes to us, it divides us from those who do not have the WORD.

We rejoice when we receive the WORD.  But it divides us also from those who go another way.

I Peter 4:12-13    Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:  But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when His glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
