Jesus says:
John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.

Jesus, THE WORD, is the way to go in dealing with issues of this life.
So if we are dealing with the subject of divorce/remarriage. We go to the Bible and see what God says. We read the scripture and choose to go that way, doing according to "that Word".
It is all very simple.
One time a woman wanted to tell me the circumstances of her mother's divorce and remarriage. As I thought about this, God (by HIS Spirit) said to me, "You don't need to look at the circumstances. Just focus on what the WORD says."

Matthew 19:4-6 And He (Jesus) answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that HE which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.
I Corinthians 7:10-11 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

So if a person wants to go in the way of Jesus, he does according to these scriptures which are the way, the truth and the life.
The other ways look like life but they are death and destruction.
The scriptures are the way of life and freedom from sins of the flesh when we choose that way.

Jesus says:
Matthew 7:13-14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
The majority of people will explain away scripture in order to do what they want to do on this earth.

Matthew 7:24-27 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of Mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

We build our house on a rock each time we see the Word of God, a scripture, and choose to do that scripture.

Proverbs 4:20-22 My son, attend to My words; incline thine ear unto My sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
