I Timothy 4 ... Reading through the Bible

1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy;

having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. 4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: 5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

6 If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

7 But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.

8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

9 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation. 10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe. 11 These things command and teach.

12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine

14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

Zechariah 8 ... Viewing the works of God through scripture

1 Again the word of the Lord of hosts came to me, saying, 2 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; I was jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I was jealous for her with great fury.

3 Thus saith the Lord; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the Lord of hosts the holy mountain.

4 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand for very age. 5 And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof.

6 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; If it be marvellous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days, should it also be marvellous in mine eyes? saith the Lord of hosts.

7 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country; 8 And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.

9 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, which were in the day that the foundation of the house of the Lord of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built. 10 For before these days there was no hire for man, nor any hire for beast; neither was there any peace to him that went out or came in because of the affliction: for I set all men every one against his neighbour.

11 But now I will not be unto the residue of this people as in the former days, saith the Lord of hosts. 12 For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.

13 And it shall come to pass, that as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: fear not, but let your hands be strong.

14 For thus saith the Lord of hosts; As I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, saith the Lord of hosts, and I repented not: 15 So again have I thought in these days to do well unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: fear ye not.

16 These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates: 17 And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the Lord.

18 And the word of the Lord of hosts came unto me, saying, 19 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace.

20 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; It shall yet come to pass, that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities: 21 And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the Lord, and to seek the Lord of hosts: I will go also.

22 Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the Lord.

23 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.

Comments by Joan Boney  ... apostle/prophet

I have a great delight in seeing the restoration of the remnant to Jerusalem.  I grieved with the prophets when I read the writings of the captivity.  Now I rejoice in the restoration of the people to God after the captivity.

I certainly understood why God would pronounce the 70-year captivity because the people refused to hear HIM and obey HIM.  Now it ends and I rejoice when I read these chapters.

Jesus Christ is then born and walked on the earth for a brief time.  After that, Jesus was raised from the dead by God and given an heavenly kingdom and we get to participate in that kingdom by the Spirit of God.

Then will come the destruction of the present heavens and earth ... and the New Jerusalem will come down from heaven and there will be everlasting peace.

The New Jerusalem:

Revelation 21 ... 1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth:for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain:for the former things are passed away.

5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

And he said unto me, Write:for these words are true and faithful.

6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. 7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone:which is the second death.

9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.

10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,

11 Having the glory of God:and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal; 12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.

14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof. 16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth:and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal. 17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel. 18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper:and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.

19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; 20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.

21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl:and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.

22 And I saw no temple therein:for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it

23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it:for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it:and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.

25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day:for there shall be no night there.

26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.

27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie:but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

The present Jerusalem is not the New Jerusalem ... The present Jerusalem is a nation of men.

Yet there is a remnant of God over the whole world.  These overcome where they are between the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the destruction of the present heaven & earth, and the coming of the New Jerusalem where all the people of God from all generations will live forever.

God Uses Dreams To Reach US Today

In the mid-1980's, I had a dream where the earth slipped on it's axis. People were terrified. The politicians, scientists and religious leaders were meeting together to see what they could do. In the dream, a TV newscaster was trying to tell of the event but he was so frightened he could not get through the newscast.

(Newscasters on TV who report tragic events are not like this. They just babble on from one story to another. They know they are not affected. But in this dream, the newscaster knew he was affected along with everyone else in the world and he was terrified and just stopped speaking in the middle of the newscast.)

I think this will happen when God shakes the earth as we read in the following scripture.

Heb. 12 ... See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: 26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. 27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: 29 For our God is a consuming fire.

Isaiah 2 ... And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day. 18 And the idols he shall utterly abolish. 19 And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when HE ariseth to shake terribly the earth. 20 In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats; 21 To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.

22 Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?

Before the coming of Jesus, the earth will be moved out of place and there will be signs in the sky.

II Peter 3 … 8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

Dream reported by Barbara Preston: Member of the body of Christ …

My husband and I were getting ready to go out and buy a new television. I was ready to go but he was still getting ready, so while waiting for him, I went outside and walked down the street. It was dusk where I could see the outline of trees and houses but I could not see details. All of a sudden it turned completely dark as if it were midnight

When this happened I was scared and thought about running back into my house, but I knew that would do no good. I realized that what had just happened was not caused by man nor could man do anything about it. I realized it was the return of Jesus and I simply fell to my knees.

Mt. 24 … Jesus says concerning the end times …

Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And HE shall send HIS angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together HIS elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

The prophet Joel spoke of this …

Joel 2 … 1 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand;

2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.

…10 The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:

11 And the Lord shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

I Timothy 3 ... Reading through the Bible

1 This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.

2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; 3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;

4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; 5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)

6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. 7 Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

8 Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre; 9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience. 10 And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.

11 Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things. 12 Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well. 13 For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.

14 These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly: 15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Stressed over USA election?

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Watching the TV news concerning the USA election can be very stressful unless you keep your mind controlled by what God has said in the Bible.

Jesus warned us as follows:

Jn. 16:33 ... These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation:but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

We have been given information from Bible which shows us that which is to come and shows us the wickedness of worldly people will get worse and worse but we, who are of God, are kept by focusing on God rather than on the world.

II Tim. 3 ...  1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof:from such turn away.

...  13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

The seduction is very subtle and can even look like a good thing to those who do not know Bible.

At one of the political conventions, they tried to include all people:

- A "trans gender" person spoke for the first time ever.  The crowd being taught to accept this and to accept all persons.
- Homosexuals/lesbians approved and crowd taught to accept them.
- Abortion approved.
- Adultery approved.
- Fornication approved.

I viewed a little of this convention, with sound muted on TV, not wanting to hear what they said.

I was very shocked to see a man dressed in a woman's dress.  He was obviously a man because on his face there was a "5 o'clock" shadow of a beard growth.  The people at the political convention seemed to be accepting him among them.

This can upset you greatly unless you realize the last days, before the Lord comes, the wickedness of this world will increase.

Jesus said ...  Mt. 24 ...   11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

We "endure" through faith in Jesus Christ, The Word.

Jesus said:  "My kingdom is not of this world."  Jn. 18:36

The Holy people of the Bible looked for "new heavens and new earth" wherein dwelleth righteousness.  They declared they were strangers and pilgrims on this present earth.  Heb. 11

This present earth will be destroyed by God.  II Peter 3 & Revelation 21

Peter says:  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.  II Peter 3:10

...  Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.  II Peter 3:13

God gave the apostle John a vision of the new heaven, the new earth, and the new Jerusalem wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Revelation 21 ... 1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth:for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

The apostle Paul tells us, we, the people of God are not appointed to wrath that is to come upon this earth due to the sins upon this earth.

I Thess. 1 ... 1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. 2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day:we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. 7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. 8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. 9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ (THE WORD), 10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

And we are told to exhort one another and "even more" as we see the day approaching ... We need to surround ourselves daily, reading Bible and godly exhortations, keeping ourselves filled and renewed daily with word of God.

This is very important to do in order to survive the wickedness before our eyes on this present ungodly world.

Heb. 10 ... 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) 24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another:and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

As the people were stoning Stephen (Acts 7), he looked steadfastly into heaven.

Isaiah 26:3 ...  Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on THEE:
because he trusteth in THEE.

When we know the scriptures, we should not be depressed nor dismayed at the evil we see on this present earth for the scriptures tell us to expect the evil to increase on this earth before Jesus returns.

Lawlessness will increase in the hearts of men by antichrist.  II Thess. 2

Two things were key in bringing the previous destructions, wrath of God, upon the earth.

In days of Lot, homosexuals were "in every quarter" of the city.  Genesis 19

In the days of Noah, violence was everywhere.

How can we not see what is happening on this present world?

Jesus said before HE came, it would be like the days of Noah ... and like the days of Lot.  (Mt. 24:37 & Luke 17:28-29)

Certainly we will not like seeing the homosexual activity and the violence in this world, but we can expect to see this because of the end times and the scriptures telling about the end times.  Hopefully we will not allow ourselves to be depressed because we know these evils are appointed before the wrath of God and the return of Jesus Christ.

And the great evils we see today in the churches are also a part of what Paul told us in II Thess. 2 ... antichrist would come into the churches and the churches would "fall away" from scripture to be able to accept one another in various sins.  This is what is happening today as big-time protestant ministers seek audience with the Catholic pope.  One unified church which accepts everyone without repentance and in disregard for the instruction of God in the Bible.

The "falling away" of the end times in the churches told of in II Thess. 2 are church groups falling away from Bible and setting up other doctrines which permit lawlessness to be approved inside the churches.

We see this today everywhere we look ... Thus the church seems "watered down" ... for it is greatly changed from the power of God through the changing of the scriptures.

For example:

... Call no man Father ... Mt. 24
... Man who marries divorced woman commits adultery ... Mt. 5
... Let not the wife depart from her husband but, and if, she depart let her remained unmarried or return to her husband.  I Cor. 7

And many other scriptures are changed from Bible.

But the apostle Paul tells us:

II Tim. 3 ...

14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

To hang on, we need even more focus on Bible and godly exhortations, deliberately surrounding our minds daily in such ... and in prayer, staying connected constantly to God.

Real Christians, even in Sardis, says Jesus

Revelation 3 ... Jesus said ... 1 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. 2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die:for I have not found thy works perfect before God. 3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. 4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with ME in white: for they are worthy.

Comments by Joan Boney ...

I believe Jesus is saying even as bad as it can get in certain church groups, there might still be a person who belongs to God and has not defiled his garment.

A woman said to me:  "I don't believe a Methodist can be a Christian."

But I remembered what the Holy Spirit said to me, "Even in Sardis" ... there was someone worthy.

Sardis must have been very bad ... but even as bad as it was there were a few names "Even in Sardis" who walked with Jesus and were worthy.

This helps us so much when we are upset over the evils and various churches ...

Here is a very interesting story told by Barbara Preston, a member of our little church group ...

Barbara says:
My husband is an amateur astronomer and belongs to the local astronomy club.  He receives phone calls from other club members and sometimes they will come over to the house.

One of his astronomy friends is named Scott.  Recently I noticed that when Scott calls and I see by caller ID that it is him, I want to avoid talking to him and if he comes over, I want to avoid seeing him.

I knew I had built up some kind of hardness of heart where he was was concerned.

I talked to God about this when I saw it and asked Him to please help me to settle this.  I didn't want to feel this way about Scott.

When I asked God how this happened, I was reminded that during the last conversation Scott and I had, he told me he was Catholic.  I realized that I had built up some kind of prejudice against him over this and wanted to avoid him.  I repented of this and asked God how to get this resolved.

I was reminded immediately of something else that had happened during the first conversation I ever had with Scott.  We were talking one day, and I told him that God created the heavens and the earth.  And that all those stars they looked at were created by God.

As soon as I said this, he got so excited and said... "I know...I know!"  He told me how he loved to tell this to people when they looked through his telescope (the club has lots of group nights where boy scouts, etc. will show up and want to do this for an evening event.)

When he said this, his excitement and joy really seemed genuine to me.  As soon as God reminded me of this, I could feel the hardness of heart that I had felt concerning him just melt away.

Not long after this, Joan mentioned the church in Sardis in Rev. 3, and how being reminded of this encouraged her to speak the Word of God even to people in churches where there seemed that there could be no Christians.

This reminded me of what happened with me where Scott was concerned.

Scott and I have had a couple of conversations about God, in the past, and now I know that the way to go is not to avoid him, but, if we talk in the future, and something about God comes up, just share truth with him at that moment.

I was very thankful to have this resolved.

Zechariah 7 ... Viewing the works of God through scripture

1 And it came to pass in the fourth year of king Darius, that the word of the Lord came unto Zechariah in the fourth day of the ninth month, even in Chisleu; 2 When they had sent unto the house of God Sherezer and Regemmelech, and their men, to pray before the Lord, 3 And to speak unto the priests which were in the house of the Lord of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?

4 Then came the word of the Lord of hosts unto me, saying, 5 Speak unto all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When ye fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh month, even those seventy years, did ye at all fast unto me, even to me? 6 And when ye did eat, and when ye did drink, did not ye eat for yourselves, and drink for yourselves?

7 Should ye not hear the words which the Lord hath cried by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and the cities thereof round about her, when men inhabited the south and the plain?

8 And the word of the Lord came unto Zechariah, saying, 9 Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother: 10 And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.

(This should be a warning to each of us:  Let none of you imagine evil against his "brother" in your heart.)

11 But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear.

12 Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the Lord of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the Lord of hosts.

13 Therefore it is come to pass, that as he cried, and they would not hear; so they cried, and I would not hear, saith the Lord of hosts:

14 But I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations whom they knew not. Thus the land was desolate after them, that no man passed through nor returned: for they laid the pleasant land desolate.

God Uses Dreams In NT Church

Concerning God using dreams in the NT Church, in the Bible we have the example of Paul ...

Acts 16 ... Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia, 7 After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not. 8 And they passing by Mysia came down to Troas. 9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us. 10 And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.

At the end of March, 2012, I had a dream. A woman was singing. I said, "This is a nice little voice. It is not a great voice. But it is a nice little voice."  Then in the dream, I saw this was a way for us to function as the church where we come together and everyone can speak as led by the Spirit of God as Paul instructed for the gathering of the church in I Cor. 14:26-40.

I awoke knowing to set up a "blog" on Internet where we could share and everyone who had heard from the Spirit of God was free to share. Within about 3 days, we were publishing writings on Internet.

At the time we set this up, we were just doing what we believed was instructed by God. It never occurred to any of us that these writings on Internet were going to go all over the world. It is amazing to us and is still amazing to us. We can write as many pages as we want to write on our blog, publish it instantly all over the world, and it doesn't cost us anything to do this!

Mt. 24:14 … Jesus says … And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

One way the Holy Spirit is used by God is to "show us things to come" ...

Jn. 16:13 ... Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.   Often this is done through dreams.

In the 1980's I had 3 dreams about one event.

In one dream, I was in a tall, glass building. Something began happening outside. The whole building began to shake. It was as if bombs had fallen on the building and it seemed the building was going to fall in on us. In the dream I was told this was not the first bombing but the second. And life would never be the same again for us.

Then there was another dream, where ambulances and fire trucks with sirens blaring were going down the street. One vehicle after another passed by where I was standing. Something had happened.

Then there was another dream where the skyline of NYC had been destroyed. I was looking onto the tip of Manhattan and you could see little but large clouds of smoke.

These 3 dreams were about the destruction of the World Trade Center, Towers I and II, in New York City in 2001.

Each time I have seen this on TV since this time, I have recalled these 3 dreams and the TV pictures of the smoke were exactly the same as the views shown me in the dreams.

Also in the dream, it was not the first bombing of the World Trade Center, but the second. There was a first bombing in the garage area of one of the towers in the 1990's.

But these 3 dreams (given to me in the 1980’s) were the second bombing which destroyed the towers September 11, 2001.

Another example in the Bible of God using a dream in the NT church was as follows concerning the apostle Paul …

Acts 27 … 9 Now when much time was spent, and when sailing was now dangerous, because the fast was now already past, Paul admonished them, 10 And said unto them, Sirs, I perceive that this voyage will be with hurt and much damage, not only of the lading and ship, but also of our lives.

11 Nevertheless the centurion believed the master and the owner of the ship, more than those things which were spoken by Paul.

12 And because the haven was not commodious to winter in, the more part advised to depart thence also, if by any means they might attain to Phenice, and there to winter; which is an haven of Crete, and lieth toward the south west and north west.

13 And when the south wind blew softly, supposing that they had obtained their purpose, loosing thence, they sailed close by Crete.

14 But not long after there arose against it a tempestuous wind, called Euroclydon.

15 And when the ship was caught, and could not bear up into the wind, we let her drive. 16 And running under a certain island which is called Clauda, we had much work to come by the boat:17 Which when they had taken up, they used helps, undergirding the ship; and, fearing lest they should fall into the quicksands, strake sail, and so were driven.

18 And we being exceedingly tossed with a tempest, the next day they lightened the ship; 19 And the third day we cast out with our own hands the tackling of the ship. 20 And when neither sun nor stars in many days appeared, and no small tempest lay on us, all hope that we should be saved was then taken away.

21 But after long abstinence Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said, Sirs, ye should have hearkened unto me, and not have loosed from Crete, and to have gained this harm and loss. 22 And now I exhort you to be of good cheer:for there shall be no loss of any man's life among you, but of the ship. 23 For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve, 24 Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar:and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee. 25 Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.

I Timothy 2 ... Reading through the Bible

1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

7 Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.

8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; 10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. 15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

Devil is liar ... no truth in devil ... devil sends thoughts to mind of humans

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Jesus said to the religious leaders of His time ...

Jn. 8:44 ... Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own:for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Devil does not live in the truth ... there is no truth in devil.

He speaks lies.

Devil does send thoughts to our minds.

When income reduces, it is not unusual for devil to send thoughts as to what is going to happen to us in future ... and if we stop and consider, those fearful thoughts of future are opposite to that which God says about the subject and what the inspired word of God, the Holy Scriptures, say to us about the subject.

Not enough money in future?  Will have to sell house and move to less expensive location?  And your house won't sell because of the economy?

Bible:  God says ...

Hebrews 13:5 ...  5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have:for HE (God) hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. 6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Phil. 4:19 ... But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

If we need to make a change, God will show us.  If we need to reduce expenditures, God will show us.  Pray, ask God if you need to do anything, any adjustments ... be persuaded by God not by devils.

If you've taken on too much, too many "good works", ask God to show you.

I've had many times during the past 30 years that income has reduced.  I've often asked God if I need to cut back and if so "where".  So far, God has never shown me that I need to reduce expenditures and all my needs have been provided abundantly ... even more than before though my income now is greatly reduced from 10 years ago.

Eph. 3:20 ... Now unto HIM that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

Sometimes thoughts will come to us concerning that which is going to happen to us "tomorrow" ...

Where did that thought come from.

It makes a very big difference.

God can send thoughts to our mind.  Flesh can cause us to have thoughts.  Devil can send thoughts.

So where did that thought come from?

Devil is liar and there is no truth in him.  So if that troubling thought is from devil, it is a lie.

It is a good idea to pray ... lay the entire situation out before God in prayer ... Allow God to establish your thoughts on the matter at hand... Wait on God until HE shows you... Give it time ... Don't rush into anything ...

Zechariah 6 ... Viewing the works of God through scripture

1 And I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass. 2 In the first chariot were red horses; and in the second chariot black horses; 3 And in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot grisled and bay horses.  4 Then I answered and said unto the angel that talked with me, What are these, my lord

5 And the angel answered and said unto me, These are the four spirits of the heavens, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth. 6 The black horses which are therein go forth into the north country; and the white go forth after them; and the grisled go forth toward the south country. 7 And the bay went forth, and sought to go that they might walk to and fro through the earth: and he said, Get you hence, walk to and fro through the earth. So they walked to and fro through the earth. 8 Then cried he upon me, and spake unto me, saying, Behold, these that go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.

9 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, 10 Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah, which are come from Babylon, and come thou the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah;

11 Then take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them upon the head of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest; 12 And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying,

Behold the man whose name is The Branch (Jesus Christ); and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the Lord: 13 Even he shall build the temple of the Lord; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.

(This temple would be the Spirit of God, in Spirit and not in bricks made by masons.  The bricks of this temple would be the word of God and the temple would be held together forever by the Word of God.)

14 And the crowns shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of the Lord.

15 And they that are far off shall come and build in the temple of the Lord, and ye shall know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto you. And this shall come to pass, if ye will diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God.

Preface

Throughout the Bible, we have many examples of God leading HIS people and showing HIS people things to come through dreams.

God gave Joseph a dream to show him that the baby that Mary was carrying was of the Holy Ghost so Joseph would not "put Mary away".

Mt. 1 ... Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.

20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for HE shall save HIS people from their sins.

God protected the baby Jesus by giving the wise men a dream showing them not to return to Herod after seeing the baby Jesus.

Mt. 2 ... Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, 2 Saying, Where is HE that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen HIS star in the east, and are come to worship HIM.

3 When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.

4 And when he (Herod) had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.

5 And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet, 6 And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.

7 Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared. 8 And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.

(But Herod was trying to deceive the wise men for his goal was to kill the baby Jesus.)

9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. 10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. 11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped HIM: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto HIM gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

12 And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.

Dreams were given to Joseph to protect the baby Jesus and to show Joseph what to do.

Mt. 2:13 ... And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.

14 When he (Joseph) arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:15 And was there until the death of Herod:that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.

Mt. 2 ... But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, 20 Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child’s life.

Mt. 2 ... And he arose, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel. 22 But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee: 23 And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, HE shall be called a Nazarene.

Job said this concerning dreams ... Job 33

For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not. 15In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed; 16Then HE openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction, 17That HE may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man. 18HE keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.

Dreams as an Anchor for Faith

Often humans will not understand what God is trying to get done, so sometimes God will give a dream to show man what to do. Later that same dream may be used by God to help us to have faith that it was God who gave us the plan.

In 2001, I had a dream where I was building a house. I was shown the area around the construction site. But at that time I was not planning to build a house. I lived in Clovis, NM (USA) where I was helping my mother. She died at end of January, 2002, and I made plans to move to Lubbock, Texas. I met with realtor who showed me existing properties but I couldn't forget the dream where I was building house. So I met with contractor and was shown building sites in Lubbock.

One lot looked exactly like the area I had been shown in the dream the previous year so I bought that lot and built a house on that lot.

Later more desirable lots opened up for building in Lubbock but each time I thought of how I would like to live in those areas, I was reminded of that dream where I was shown the construction site where this Lubbock house was built. This caused me to settle down and know that God had selected this place for me to live.

And we have the following scripture telling us that God puts us on the earth at the time set for us and God puts us in the exact place where we are living.

Acts 17:26 (NIV: Original translation) ...

HE (God) determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.

In the 1980's, I was traveling all over the United States to cities where I was on radio. I would rent meeting rooms at hotels or at convention centers and meet with radio audience.

Then in 1982, I had a dream showing me great danger for me if I went out as I had been doing. And I heard these words in that dream. "Don't go until you see Exodus 15."

Immediately, I cancelled all meetings that had been planned for that year and the next year.

A woman said to me, "But you must go out ... If you go out and have meetings they will give money ... but if you don't go out you will lose money. "

I replied: "God has shown me not to go out so I'm not going." (Though offerings decreased there was no problem concerning money. I had everything I needed as I stayed at home. The expenses were less.)

I Timothy 1 ... Reading through the Bible

1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;

2 Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith:
Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.

3 As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine

4 Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.

5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

6 From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling; 7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;

9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; 11 According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry; 13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. 15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.

17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

18 This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare; 19 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck: 20 Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.

No prophet accepted in his own country, says Jesus

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

After Jesus arose, HE gave ministry gifts to the church ...

Eph. 4 ... 11 And HE (Jesus) gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

After the crucifixion and resurrection Jesus gave these to the NT church to help the church.

In the New Testament, each person received by God is given The Holy Spirit to guide them into all truth, to teach them all things, to remind them of everything Jesus has said, to show them things to come.  (Jn. 14:26 / Jn. 16:13)

We no longer have to go to a prophet to seek the will of God as they did in the Old Testament.

But we see prophets are still part of the ministry today as we read in Ephesians 4.

We have a few examples of New Testament prophets in the book of Acts.

Acts 11 ...  27 And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch. 28 And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world:which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar. 29 Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea:30 Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.

Prophets are often used by God to deliver message to individuals and to church groups.  Sometimes the individual will be trapped in a sin and be praying to get loose and God will choose to send a NT prophet to speak a message to free this person.

In our own little church group, a woman was trying to uproot bitterness and things that had been buried inside her mind, often for years.  She dealt with some memories through prayer.  Then she asked God if anything was hidden in her, to please show her.

That same morning that she prayed this, I became very troubled over this woman.  Finally I called her to tell her something was hidden from her.  She desired to be approved by the church but God approves us when HE gives us HIS Spirit.  If we have the Holy Spirit we have God's approval.  (I do not mean speaking in tongues.  I mean if the Spirit of God lives in us we have God approval and the church accepts us then as the church.)

Romans 8:16 ...The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

                                                          *****

I have a cleaning woman who has worked for me several years.  She has watched me week by week and has seen me live a life which is bewildering to her.  She sees me generously pay her and others.  (She frequently frets over money.)   She has seen me live by faith ... she even said, "But what if it doesn't happen."  (But it does for God does not fail me.)  She is terrified of the Bible, being Catholic.  She asked me, "Aren't you afraid to read the Bible?"  I assume she has been taught at some point by Catholic priest that "lay-people" like her cannot understand the Bible and shouldn't read Bible but priests will tell them what they need to know.  I have see this before in people who are Catholic church members.

She watched me publish books with Amazon.  I even gave her one of the books, "Taking Thoughts Captive", which is the book she wanted.

But I know she doesn't believe what I say about God, though she sees me live a life different from other humans and often comments as to how she couldn't live like I do.

She even said to me once, "Don't you ever feel you need to purchase something to keep up with the Jones,"  so to speak...

As I thought about her and what I believe she thinks about me, the Holy Spirit reminded me of the following words of Jesus ...

Mt. 13...  53 And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence. 54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works? 55 Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? 56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things? 57 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. 58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

                                                              *****

In 1985, I moved to Clovis, NM (USA) where my mother lived.  My dad had died and I felt my mother would need help.  I was born in Clovis and lived 30-miles north of Clovis.  There were people there that I went to elementary through high school with.

We were doing ministry work then by sending exhortations to the church through US mail.  (There was no Internet at that time.)

I mailed one of the exhortations to a women from my high school.  She is a Methodist.  She sent me a letter asking me not to send her anymore materials.  So I didn't.

Lk. 4:24 ... Jesus said ... No prophet is accepted in his own country.

                                                         *****

I still speak truth from God regardless of where I am but often I am rejected by those in my own household (like the cleaning lady) and rejected in my own country where I was once a child.

Mk. 6 ...  (They were offended with Jesus when HE spoke to them) ... 4 But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. 5 And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. 6 And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.

                                                         *****

When we published the 10 ministry books in the "Life in Christ" series on Amazon, I called a woman from my high school. Her husband of 60+ years had died.  I thought she could be helped by reading these book.  I don't believe she ordered them.

Jn. 4:44 ... Jesus said ... A prophet hath no honor in his own country.

This woman is the most political person I have ever met.  In 2015, when I learned her husband had died, I called her and talked with her.  At that time she surprised me by saying, "There is no hope in politics."  I felt she meant the potential candidates in both parties were so extreme she couldn't stand either.

As the presidential election in the United States in 2016 (Clinton vs. Trump) appeared, I sent her some scripture hoping to help her to endure what she was seeing.

Daniel 4:25 ... the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever HE will.

Psalm 75 ... 6 For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
7 But God is the judge: HE putteth down one, and setteth up another.

Jesus said ... My kingdom is not of this world.  Jn. 18:36

According to the Bible, this present heaven and earth will be destroyed.

II Peter 3 ...

This present world will never be "righteousness".

Righteousness will be in the new heaven, the new earth, the new Jerusalem ...

Revelation 21 ... (John said) ...

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

The high school friend that I sent this to called me the same day she received what I wrote and she thanked me and she said, "That did help me.  That was a really good writing."

Nevertheless I did not think she would read the books available on Amazon nor our blog (Jesus Ministries Exhortations) where I share what God has shown me and there are many godly exhortations to help us.  I even read these at night to help me to be edified in the faith in God in this time of extreme wickedness on this present earth.

She has quit going to church because she said it feels so dead to her.  She asked me if I knew someone called Kenneth Copeland.  I told her his mother was one of my best friends in the 1980's.  I told her Copeland has sought aliance with the Catholic pope and on his website he proudly shows pictures of his 3 hour audience with the Catholic pope.

She was horrified at this.

I even sent her a picture of Copeland with the Catholic pope and an article where Copeland told about his audience with Catholic pope.

I felt my friend was being lured into the Copeland movement.

She is very upset over the Southern Baptist president who has also joined forces with the Catholic pope.

I felt she might back off from Copeland when she saw the photo of Copeland with the Catholic pope for this picture tells it all.

Copeland is very handsome and has an excellent popular type singing voice ... very romantic type voice ... this is very seductive to women like my friend.

There is a "one unified church" movement going on today.  Regardless of the doctrine, they want to accept one another.

There is one church but it is the church where God has given HIS Spirit, the Holy Spirit, to each believer.  This has nothing at all to do with the various denominations of churches of men where doctrine is set up and omitted at will based on personal preference.  That is the antichrist in the churches just as Paul said would happen.

The churches would fall away from Bible and specific scriptures.  They will have "a form of doctrine" but they will twist scripture to permit sin to be approved in the congregation.

Paul spoke of this in the churches in the following scripture.  This would happen in the churches in the last days.

II Thess. 2 ...    1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3 Let no man deceive you by any means:for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work:only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

The "falling away" would be churches falling away from the Bible.

Antichrist would rule in the churches with twisting of doctrine.  Antichrist is called "the man of lawlessness" (NIV)

Spirit of antichrist would come into the hearts of leaders of church groups allowing "antichrist" to sit "in the temple of God".

Antichrist spirit in the hearts of these men and women would act as if they themselves were "God".

Jesus would destroy them and their followers in the "brightness of HIS coming."
