Scripture: Shared by body of Christ

John 7:18 ... 18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.

Exhortation:  (Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet)

Many speak of their own ideas, from their own thinking.  These men and women seek their own glory.  They seem so wise in their own eyes.  They can't wait to share with others those things they have come up with by their own flesh.

But when a person is really of God, that person speaks that which God reveals to him by the Spirit of God.  And when we do this, we have no reason to glory in that which we speak for we know it was not ourselves who came up with these things but it was from God.  So the glory is in God and not in ourselves when we speak.

And we are careful to prove all things and not just assume everything that comes to our mind is of God for we know other spirits that are not of God also speak to us and bring ideas to us.  So we turn to God committing those ideas to God asking HIM to confirm them if they are from him.  We do not want to speak unless it is of God.  We are very careful to "try the spirits" through prayer.  Also we consider that which we have heard and look at various verses in Bible to see if what we have heard is true, but even in doing this we allow the Holy Spirit to lead us by reminding us of the appropriate verses to consider.

I've always had a great fear concerning scripture.  I have an understanding that scripture is the Word of God and I do not want to mishandle scripture nor add to it nor take away from it for it is the Word of God HIMSELF.

I find those persons who misuse scripture have no real grief when someone confronts them with their misuse of scripture.  I would be horrified and deeply grieved to do such.  I am very careful in use of scripture for it is the Word of God.
