πŸ’₯ God helps us to endure and live in peace as we wait for the return of Jesus.

(Letter from Barbara Preston, Member of the body of Christ)

Recently Apple came out with a music app devoted only to classical music.

I don't really know anything about classical music but I am enjoying this app so much.

I love using the Air Pods (ear buds) and listening to the music as I work around the house.  I find that I can even read and focus on what I am reading.

I'm so happy to be able to do this.  Kind of like discovering a new world for me.

I Samuel 16

14 But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.

15 And Saul's servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee. 16 Let our lord now command thy servants, which are before thee, to seek out a man, who is a cunning player on an harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well.

17 And Saul said unto his servants, Provide me now a man that can play well, and bring him to me.

18 Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the LORD is with him.

19 Wherefore Saul sent messengers unto Jesse, and said, Send me David thy son, which is with the sheep.

20 And Jesse took an ass laden with bread, and a bottle of wine, and a kid, and sent them by David his son unto Saul.

21 And David came to Saul, and stood before him: and he (David) loved him greatly; and he became his armourbearer.

22 And Saul sent to Jesse, saying, Let David, I pray thee, stand before me; for he hath found favour in my sight.

23 And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.

Classical music is an extremely abstract music.

Popular music often causes us to be reminded of people or events and can even cause us to think on things that pull us down emotionally.  Or the words and music can cause us to desire relationships that would even lead us into an evil stirring up of emotions of our own flesh.

I believe God provided help for Barbara as well as a new form of enjoyment for her.

We have to "endure" during this time as we wait for the return of Jesus.

Recently I purchased a Marantz sound processer for music and video productions.

This allows me to use my CD player again, for my other unit did not have balanced inputs, therefore I could not hook up my balanced cable to my CD player, so I just didn't connect my CD player since the sound was unsuitable to me.

Since the Marantz has been added, I have really enjoyed listening to music from my CD's.  (It has been 6 years since I've had a unit that plays CD's.)

As a young person, I was trained in classical music, playing in both band and orchestra during my years in college and later conducting band and orchestra, before I was born again and called by God to be a minister.

God blesses us in all good things on this earth and helps us to endure as we live here and wait for Jesus' return.

I was listening to one of the CD's when I glanced out the window and saw the sky and I began to think on God and HIS wonderful creation and those things created by God which we enjoy on this earth.  I knew God was showing me it was a good thing to purchase this machine which allowed me to play CD's again.

Romans 14:19  Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
