πŸ’₯ Jesus overcame all temptations through that which God gave to HIM.

Luke 4

1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,

2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days HE did eat nothing: and when they were ended, HE afterward hungered.

3 And the devil said unto HIM, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.

(Prove you are of God.)

4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

5 And the devil, taking HIM up into an high mountain, shewed unto HIM all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.

6 And the devil said unto HIM, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.

8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and HIM ONLY shalt thou serve.

9 And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:

(Now the devil begins to speak scripture to Jesus to tempt Jesus.)

10 For it is written, He shall give HIS angels charge over thee, to keep thee:

11 And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from HIM for a season.

Revelation 12:11  And they overcame him (devil) by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Revelation 3:5  Jesus said:  He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before MY Father, and before HIS angels.

In each temptation, we turn to God asking HIM to help us and we overcome by that which God brings to our mind.

James 4:7  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

We resist the devil with that which God gives us in the temptation.

Keep before you that which God brings to your mind.

I Peter 5

6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that HE may exalt you in due time:

7 Casting all your care upon HIM; for HE careth for you.

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

1 Timothy 6:12  Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

Never let go of your faith in God.  Hold fast to HIS Word.

Job 13:15   Though HE slay me, yet will I trust in HIM:

(There have time times I've almost been swept away but somehow God kept me in the trial and in time the battle ended.)

John 5:30  (Jesus said)  I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear (from God), I judge: and MY judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
