Bible too legalistic?

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Recently a church member warned her son using a scripture ... The son replied concerning the scripture, "But that's so legalistic."

I heard of this and was greatly troubled by that which this man said.  I went to God and said to God, "This greatly troubles me."

Instantly, the Holy Spirit reminded me of the following words of Jesus.

Mt. 7 ... Jesus said ...  13 Enter ye in at the strait gate:for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Very true.

What the people of this world (and many church people also) want to day is freedom to sin.

As never before in our lifetime we are seeing approval of sins in society as a whole and also in so many church groups as they remove the scriptures to allow the people in congregation to sin... supporting and approving:  homosexuals/lesbians ... divorce/remarriage ... sex outside of marriage which appears quite normal in today's world ... and many other sins ...

People desire to be approved in their sins ... and this is what is happening.

In this today, we are seeing the removal of restraints which would hold the sin back.

II Thess. 2 ...  6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work:only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Not only is there a removal of restraints today in both churches and in world, but people are afraid to speak against such sins as "homosexuals" ... because when they speak today against homosexual acts, they often lose their own jobs or are degraded for their disapproval.  Often they retract their disapproval the day following the statement of disapproval of the sin because they are afraid of what will happen to them.

As never before, homosexuals/lesbians, feel safe and secure in USA.  In the 1960's, laws in some states, such as Texas, put homosexuals in jail if caught.  Today the laws in USA protect homosexual's rights to be homosexual.

The Catholic church pope came out recently with public statement that he saw nothing against homosexuals.

With that, I cried out ... "What about the Bible?"

Romans 1 ... (concerning homosexuals & lesbians) ...  21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections:for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

The Bible is the way of God, the way of life for us who believe in HIM.

It is a "strait" way ... it is a "narrow" way ... it is a way of life.

The broad way is a way of death where all manner of sins are approved.

No restraint and approval in sin is a trumpet announcing the end and the judgment of God which is rapidly approaching.

Each of us must choose to surround ourselves with even more Bible and godly exhortations as we see the day of the Lord and the wrath of God approaching through the unrestrained sins of this present world.

The end must be near.
