Another example: Apostasy in Baptist Church

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

I visited the church service at a small Baptist church in Clovis, NM, USA.  My dad's 1/2 brother's wife, Aline, attended that church group.

In the morning service they began by pastor saying he was turning the service over to a teenaged boy to share their recent youth retreat information.

The boy showed a film of their retreat.  Girls were running about the room with curlers in hair while teenage boys were flipping towels on rear end of the girls.

Aline responded, "I could to with out this."

Then pastor began talking.  He was quoting a scripture in Mt. 17:21 ... Jesus said (concerning a type of devil) ... Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

Pastor said, "This kind goeth not out but by prayer."

In very low voice I said:  "and fasting"

A second time Pastor quoted same scripture and said:  "This kind goeth not out but by prayer."

Again in a soft voice, I said, "And fasting."

A third time Pastor said, "This kind goeth not out but by prayer."

Aline joined me as we quietly said, "And fasting."

The Sunday night service was even worse and I felt myself being dragged down in my seat, getting lower and lower as pastor spoke.

After the service, I went to pastor and told him I needed to make appointment to talk with him.  He said he could do it "right now", so we went into his office.

I told him I was in both services that day.  I told him when we come together in the church all things done in the gathering are to be edifying, building up the church in the faith in God.  I told him that teen presentation was not edifying.

Pastor said, "Well I liked it."

Then I took Bible and showed pastor Mt. 17:21.  Jesus said:  Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

I told him he left one part of this scripture out of the teaching each of 3 times that he quoted that scripture.

With that, pastor became very angry, and in anger said:  "I've been doing this 23 years and I know what I am doing."

I replied:  "I believe that is all I have to say to you."  I left, never to return to that church group.

Pastor showed no shame at all for the way he had handled that scripture.  Had he showed shame and repented, I could have worked with him.  But as it was, there was nothing to be done.

I've seen this same reaction many times from pastors who teach wrong things.  I've never seen a pastor repent nor show shame.   This is the falling away, the apostasy that was to come into the church before Jesus returns.

When the cup of iniquity is full, Jesus will return for the godly church.  The ungodly church such as this will remain on earth for the wrath of God.  Paul said they would all be "damned" and God would send them a strong delusion because they did not show a love of the truth that they might be saved.

II Thess 2 ... 8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Notice they (the speaker of the perversion) and they who hear the speaker will be damned.

We must have a love of the Bible and when scriptures are perverted we must not stay among those groups where pastor will not correct himself and where pastor shows no shame of his acts.

Paul warned us about what would happen in the church groups after his departure:

Acts 20 ... Paul says ... 25 And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more. 26 Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men. 27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.
28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. 29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. 30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. 31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.

Antichrist would move into the congregation and speak perversions to draw men away to himself.

Bit by bit scripture has been altered during the past years in the churches.  It has not been done all at once for then someone might notice and object.  It has been a little bit at a time ... one scripture altered a little ... then another ... then another ... gradually until the perversion in the church group has grown so strong the whole group sitting there is sleeping and comforted by the rhythmic voice of the speaker and the "soothing" sounds.  The church is gassed to death by the speaker.  They are dead and do not even know they have died in the church pews.

This is the end time apostasy of II Thess.2.  Jesus cannot return until this is filled.  When the "transgressors are come to a full" ...  Daniel 8

II Thess. 2 (NASB) ... 1 Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, 2 that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. 3 Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above every so- called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. (This is taking place today all over the world in churches as scripture is omitted completely or is twisted ... and this sets stage for return of Jesus... for Jesus cannot return until this apostasy happens in the church groups... It is happening now.  When the transgressor are "full" the end comes.)

Daniel 8  ...23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up. 24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power:and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people. 25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

"By peace he shall destroy many"... I believe this shows the church ... Destruction comes to the church today "by peace" ... Thus they say, "Don't offend anyone with scripture" ... peace ... pathway to hell in the churches as sin reigns over the scripture ... no repentance ... make people feel good about themselves.

II Thess. 2

5 Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things?

(KJV) ...  6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work:only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way

(When the restraint is removed the lawlessness can move in though antichrist people.  Paul was one of the "restraints" ... Thus Paul says after his departure men among them would rise up speaking perversions to draw away followers after themselves.  Acts 20)

The stage is certainly set, for the apostasy is rampant in the churches today as scriptures are omitted and twisted to allow congregation to feel approved in their many sins.  Approval replaces repentance as scriptures are mishandled.  The goal is to approve the congregation.

If you speak the following scripture to the congregation, they would not feel approved.

Jesus said ... Mt. 5:32 ...32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery:and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

(If a man divorces a faithful wife, the husband will be "cause" of the adultery faithful wife commits upon remarriage.  And the man who marries the divorced woman commits adultery...If the wife is unfaithful, man has legal reason to divorce her and he can remarry.  However woman whose husband is unfaithful cannot remarry.  See I Cor. 7:10-11 ... These are God's rules.)

Mk. 10:11-12 ...  Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. 12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.

I Cor. 7 ... (Paul says this is "a commandment of the Lord" for the New Testament Church) ...10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband:and let not the husband put away his wife.

By these scriptures it is easy for us to see the apostasy (the falling away from scripture) in the church.  When was last time you heard these scriptures taught in your church group?  I've never heard these spoken in any church group.  Instead in the churches I have attended they have set up singles groups where divorced women can meet a "Christian" man and remarry. (both committing adultery according to scripture)

The watered down church services we see today are the apostasy in the church ... the churches falling away from the Bible, from specific scriptures, in order to approve the congregation.

This is the path to hell.

In such cases, God will bring "strong delusion" upon those churches ... "that they all might be damned."  II Thess. 2

So when you see a church group eliminating scriptures and twisting scripture this way, you cannot sit there among them.  You have to leave otherwise you damn yourself.  (II Thess. 2:12)
