"Reverend"? No man in Bible called himself this ...

Joan Boney ... apostle/ prophet

But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 14But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 15And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.  II Tim. 3

The Bible is the example for the New Testament Church.  By the Holy Scriptures we know the pattern for us to live on this present earth.

There is no place in the Bible where a man called himself "Reverend".

The ministers in the New Testament called themselves by the ministry offices to which they are appointed by God: apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, teacher ... Eph. 4:11

Paul identified himself as "apostle/teacher" ... In his various letters to the churches we see this.

... Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God ... Romans 1

... Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother, 2Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours.  I Cor. 1

... Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, unto the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints which are in all Achaia:  II Cor. 1

... Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;) 2And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia:  Gal. 1

...  Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus. Eph. 1

... Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother, 2To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Col. 1

... Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope.  I Tim. 1

... Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus, II Tim. 1

... Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness.  Titus 1

Peter:

... Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, 2Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.  I Peter 1

... Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: II Peter 1

When a man calls himself "Reverend", or allows others to call himself "Reverend", that man exalts himself to a status unknown in the Bible examples for ministers.

God's name is "reverend" ... He sent redemption unto His people: He hath commanded His covenant for ever: holy and reverend is His name.  Psalm 111:9

The ministers of God in the Bible called themselves apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, teacher
(Eph 4).

This is proper for a minister in the New Testament church today.
