The poor

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.  4And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made? 5For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her. 6And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me. 7For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always. 8She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying. 9Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her. Mk. 14

Recently, I had the "revelation" that when Jesus said we have the poor with us always, HE did not say the ones in our church group would be poor.

It would be impossible for anyone who belongs to God and follows God to be poor ... or remain poor.

If you follow God, belong to God ... God will provide all your need.  You could not be poor.  (Phil. 4:19) But my God shall supply all your need. (Says Paul)

So if you are poor, this means you are trying to do things by your own wisdom or by the wisdom of other men or you are trying to live beyond your means to pay.

Poor means:  to be deficient or lacking in ... (especially deficient or lacking in food and clothing)

The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing. Psa. 34:9

God led the children of Israel out of Egypt ... 600,000 men plus women and children walking out of Egypt, walking through desert, for 40 years ... Where did they get water?  How could they possibly have enough water?  They couldn't ... except for the fact that God provided water for them.  God made water come out of rocks so they and their animals could drink.  Otherwise they would have died.

If you are living foolishly and spending money on foolishness and living beyond your means to pay for that which you owe and are saying, "God will provide," you are a fool.
