Recently I heard the following which I believe was the Holy Spirit speaking to me...Redeeming the time, because the days are evil...
I looked up this passage of scripture and found it very pertinent for me and, I am sure for others, in these last days...
Eph
5 14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the
dead, and Christ shall give thee light. 15 See then that ye walk
circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16 Redeeming the time,
because the days are evil. 17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but
understanding what the will of the Lord is. 18 And be not drunk with
wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; 19 Speaking to
yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making
melody in your heart to the Lord; 20 Giving thanks always for all things
unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; 21
Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

A few days ago, I was speaking with Pam Padgett by phone. I told her the following: In the 1950's, there was no way the Church of Christ would be "friends" with the Catholic church. Now it is very different. One of my neighbor's who attends a very large Church of Christ told me they accept everyone and if the Catholic person needed to find a Catholic church they would help that person find a Catholic church.
God opened my eyes immediately as to what is going on with all this unity of church groups and approval of each of and the doctrine of let's all get along and not speak ill of one another.
It is the end time "peace and safety" of the following scripture:
I Thess. 5 ...1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. 2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
My best friend in college married an Assembly of God preacher. They left the Assembly of God and became Catholic and went to work for the Catholic relief services. Barby told her Church of Christ sister welcomed them and helped them get to the Catholic church when they visited her. (Peace & Safety) When I heard this, I told Barby the Catholic church is an abomination and she should come out of it and honor God, doing what God wants according to the Bible.
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day:we are not of the night, nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. 7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. 8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love (love of the Word of God); and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. 9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
Peace & safety ... Even in churches, they say ... accept each other even when doctrines differ ... (forget what Bible says) ... approve all ... never correct/never offend ... allow all things without rebuke ...
World says: you must never speak against homosexual/lesbian ... nor against fornication ... people can have sex outside of marriage and even have children and not be rebuked ... it is called "life-style" ... They can do all manner of things today "in peace and safety" ...
Those who dare to speak what Bible says are said to be the problem ... therefore (according to many) they must stop speaking things that would cause people to feel badly about themselves and their religions.
Peace & safety is being obtained (they think) through not speaking truth of Bible which would offend another religion who has removed Bible instructions from their church doctrines.

We do not accept the evil and tolerate the evil and approve the evil. We speak truth of Bible and give the evil doers an opportunity to repent of their evil and thereby to be saved.
