Just as Jesus came down from heaven, sent by the Father, today the WORD (which is Jesus) comes down from heaven sent by the Father by His Spirit.
We will sometimes just have a word called to our mind. Often that word is from the Holy Spirit. Sometimes it is from another spirit. But we pray over what we have brought to mind asking God to show us if that is from Him. We wait until that word is confirmed to our satisfaction and if we believe we have heard from God, we act on that word.
