1 John 2:15-17 ... Scripture: Shared by body of Christ

1 John 2:15-17 ... Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Exhortation:  Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

The apostle John says:  19And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. I Jn. 5

The apostle Paul says ... 13But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
14But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 15And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.  II Tim. 3

Almost without exception, I begin each morning talking to God and reading the Bible.  I've read the Bible for so many years this way that you'd think there wouldn't be anything more to see ... but there always is for it is the "living" word.

I do not watch TV news ... but a few days ago, I happened across a news item which told of trouble between Iraq and Iran and which side we are now on (we've changed sides apparently).  I started to see what is going on, and I heard a scripture from the Holy Spirit:  Jesus said:  "And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: " Mt. 24:6  So I turned the TV off.
