Scripture: Shared by body of Christ

Psalm 46:10 ... 10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

Exhortation:  (Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet)

There is certainly a time to be still.  We pray and we wait until we hear from the Holy Spirit.  And when we hear what to do, we act on that instruction. Until we hear an instruction, we wait after prayer.  We might pray again each time the subject comes to mind.  It is not weak faith to pray repeatedly on the same issue.  Jesus showed us that by the following parable:

Lk. 18 ... And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; 2Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:  3And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. 4And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; 5Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. 6And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. 7And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? 8I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

Paul said ... I Thess. 5:17 ... Pray without ceasing.  This means pray without ceasing to pray about the issue at hand.

But when we hear from the Spirit of God, then we rest in that which is spoken from the Spirit of God or we act upon that heard from the Spirit of God when the instruction calls for action on our part.

There are many who say they are Christians but they do not have the Spirit of God.  We are not "saved" by the flesh, by our own will. (Romans 9)  We are "saved" when the Spirit of God shows us our sin and we believe and repent.  Many go forward at church and "join" the church and are even baptized without having the Spirit of God convict them of sin.  When this is the case, they are not real Christians.  When the Spirit of God speaks to us and reveals our sin to us then we are convicted and repent.  Baptism without repentance will not work.  There will be no real change in a human until the Spirit of God shows that human his sin.

Repent ... and then be baptized ... (Acts 2:32) ... and after God reveals to us our sin God gives us the Spirit of God to dwell in us.  (Eph. 1)  This makes all the difference.  The Spirit of God guides us into all truth ... The Spirit of God reminds us of everything Jesus has said ... The Spirit of God teaches us all things ... And the Spirit of God shows us things to come ... (Jn. 14:16 & Jn. 16:13)

Without the Spirit of God we can do nothing of God.
