At least 3 men contacted me yesterday saying they are pastors and asking me to give money to them.
In each of these cases I sent the following reply:

If the Lord was your shepherd, you would have no want.
Therefore the Lord is not your shepherd.
You are turning to flesh and blood humans for your needs.
You will always suffer want this way.

The following person even has an account set up at Bank of India and put the account number at end of the letter so one could easily give money. This is a slick operation to get money.

You are going about this the wrong way ...
The early church just met in homes ... no big deal ...
Rather than to turn to man for money and depart from faith in God it would be far better to meet in home.
When you turn to man for money you depart from faith in God.
And when you depart from faith in God this way, you curse yourself.
Jeremiah 17 ... Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. 6For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.

Jesus warned us such things as this would happen in last days ... Many would come to us saying Jesus is Lord and they would deceive many because they say Jesus is Lord.
And Jesus said: Let no man deceive you ... Mt. 24
They come as ministers of Jesus but they come trying to get something rather than trying to give something to the church as a real minister of Jesus would do.
Paul, a real minister of Jesus, was not trying to get the church to give to him. Paul was giving to the church as a minister. And so it is for a real minister of Jesus.
The others are ministers of Satan. II Cor. 11:For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
What they do in the name of Jesus is very evil and they end up cursing themselves as they do this. Jeremiah 17:5-6
It is important that I warn you about these people. Do not be deceived into giving money to them. They are nothing but con artists operating under the guise of "ministers" of Jesus Christ. This is rampant. And Jesus HIMSELF warned us that "many" would come in HIS name doing such things as this. Mt. 24
