Recently Pam Padgett was having problems writing teachings. The words were not a problem. The problem was the Spirit was not in the teachings. I began working with her to see what was going on. Twice the same problem happened. Twice Pam said to me, "I've got to get established."
After the second time, I asked Pam how she was approaching "getting established". She replied by sharing a list of scripture she was focusing on. The scriptures were certainly solid, fitting the subject. But I saw two things missing.
I said to Pam: That which is missing in your plan is prayer and depending on God by faith in God.
Pam said a burden was immediately lifted. She had taken on the burden of working this out herself. That won't work.
The next morning I was awakened with the following scripture which explains this subject.
Paul said to the Galations: having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
Gal. 3:3
In the end times, Paul says, "perilous" times will come. II Tim. 3 ... Jesus said it will get so bad that if the days were not shortened even the elect would period but for the sake of the elect the days will be shortened. Mt. 24
The primary problem will be deception. This deception will come very strongly in religion. It will come through humans and it will come through "angels of light", things that seem to be of God but are really from Satan.
When I was thinking about this recently and thinking about what we need I realized what we need is diligence in prayer (each of us must be connected to God through prayer, not by other people praying but by us praying) ... and we need to have a firm base in faith in God. And we need to keep our mind centered on that which God has spoken to us by His Spirit concerning issues of this present life.
