Lamentations 3:21-26 ... This I recall to my mind, therefore have I
hope. 22 It is of the Lord 's mercies that we are not consumed, because
his compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. 24 The Lord
is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. 25 The Lord
is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. 26 It
is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation
of the Lord.
Exhortation: (Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet)
For the New Testament church, one great mercy of God is that we are given the Spirit of God to dwell in us to show us the way of God as we live on this present earth.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth ... the comforter ...a constant help to us... a guide ... a revealer of things to come ... reminding us of everything Jesus has said so we can know the way to go in a specific issue ... a teacher of all things ... (Jn. 14:26 & Jn. 16:13)
Sometimes we just need to slow down and consider what it is God has said to us by HIS Spirit.
The people of this world have their portion in this world. But our hope is in God and we set our mind on those things that God reveals to us. We seek HIM through prayer. And after prayer we must quietly wait until HE shows us something before we try to do anything.
The prophets in the Old Testament had the Spirit of God. In the New Testament all who belong to God have the Spirit of God. It is a wonderful thing.
