When we belong to God, we are given the Spirit of God. Eph. 1
The Spirit of God leads us in the way of God in the issues of this present life according to the will of God for each issue. I Cor. 2
God, by HIS Spirit, will bring thoughts to our minds to show us where to focus that day or to show us what to do that day. Thus we are led by the Spirit of God.
Romans 8:14 ... For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
And Jesus says we are to live by "every word" that proceeds out of the mouth of God.
So what has God said to you today or recently?
We must learn to be sensitive to that spoken by God by HIS Spirit. And we must live by every word God speaks to us.
But not all thoughts are from the Spirit of God so we have to try the spirits whether they are from God.
We try the spirits by taking the thought to God in prayer and by waiting until we are persuaded God has confirmed the matter one way or another.
But we live by "every word" spoken by God ... We do not bless ourselves by crossing ourselves nor by lighting candles nor by other fleshly things that have no power. But we do bless ourselves by being sensitive to the Spirit of God as HE speaks to us daily.
