Heb. 10:22-23

Pam Padgett - teacher

Hebrews 10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

true heart:
- no hypocrisy
- no hiding
- honest before God and man
- good soil in heart, eager to receive what God speaks and incorporate it in our lives
- not divided by trying to serve two masters ... not trying to serve God while at the same time trying to serve man
- seeking only to know and do the will of God

full assurance (confidence, certainty) that God will do what HE has said.

A few of the promises we have from God:

Hebrews 13:5 ... for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
God has never left nor forsaken me, and HE never will.  Even if others hate and leave me, God will not.

Phil. 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Luke 21:15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

condemn:
- express complete disapproval of
- prove or show guilt of

heritage:
- specific or individual possession
- allotted portion (from God to His servants)

Matthew 28:20 (Jesus said) ... and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.
