Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
Yesterday afternoon an ATT installer came to my house to change out an internet cable at their request. I had received a call from ATT saying they have too many people in my neighborhood and they needed to make a change so I permitted the installer to come do this. He arrived about 2:30 pm and finished at about 5:30 pm.
When he finished, we were checking out each component and at one point turned on Netflix and the British series, House of Cards, came on screen. I noticed immediately there was an improvement in sound quality and I was so happy with this improvement. I asked the installer if he had ever seen House of Cards. I told him how wonderful it was to me. He asked what it was about ... I replied it was based on British politics and everyone in it was so horrible, "just like real people."
He replied, "Oh ... people are good ... everyone around me is good."
I quoted Gen. 6 ... 5And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
The installer continued to tell me how everyone around him is good ...
I replied, "Oh ... you're not born again."
He became very defensive and told me how good his parents were and how well they raised him and how good his heart was and how he had just met another person who was so good.
I said: "Unless you are born again, you cannot be with God ..."
He continued to speak words to prove me wrong ... at which point I said: "I don't want to talk to you about this but rather to get my internet working." (There was no more talk.)
He almost ran from the room and out my front door.
Fortunately all the work had been completed.
Later I was thinking of the following ...
Mt. 19 ... 16And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
17And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God:
but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. 18He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, 19Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
20The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?
21Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. 22But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.
After the installer left, I was sad for him ... but then I became happy that I am born again ...
Jn. 3 ... Jesus said ... Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God...
Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
Before I was born again, I thought people were good like this young man does. After I was born again, I saw things from the eyes of God. The wrath of God is coming because of the wickedness of man on this present earth just as the wickedness of man brought the wrath of God in the days of Noah and in the days of Lot.
They, thinking man to be good, are in darkness. We who are light in God know differently.
I Thess. 5 ... 1But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. 2For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
6Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. 7For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. 8But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. 9For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 10Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
