Psa. 103:15-17

Pam Padgett - teacher

Psalm 103:15 As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. 16 For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more. 17 But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, ...

As I read this I thought of how for a time I was fairly well known and respected where I worked.  But those things that once brought glory of men are now forgotten.  Even before I retired, much of the work I had done early in my career had been replaced and forgotten.  Glory from man is very short-lived, and means nothing.

But those who belong to God and serve Him led by the Holy Spirit, are never forgotten by God.  This is what matters.
