Uncultivated lands

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Recently a church person told me something which showed me he trusted in man and was making man his strength.

I thought of the scriptures in Jeremiah 17 ...

Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.

6For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.

The man who makes man his trust and who turns to man for his guidance and solution "shall be like the heath in the desert" ...

"Heath" means ... uncultivated land (where only inedible food exists on scrub bushes)

It is a land where anything can blow in and grow because the land is unattended.  And that which currently grows there is just a form of shrub, no real fruit for anyone.

So it is with each of us if we fail to deal diligently daily with things that blow into our minds and into our lives. We can trust in God by taking each thing to God or we can trust in man by talking it over with man. When we turn to man trusting in man and take our counsel from humans, following them aside from God, we walk in darkness, not in light, and it gets darker and darker and we do not know what it is we stumble over and we blind ourselves with their darkness and there will be no fruit, just barrenness.

The man who trusts in man can have a good income and always lack, never having enough.

The one who trusts in God can have little and have plenty.

The man who makes man his trust will dwell in the wilderness ... inhospitable places ... places which are harsh and difficult to live in ...unfriendly and unwelcoming places ... places filled with wild animals

These people roam as packs of wild animals and some try to take us into their pack.

And if we mishandle the Word of God the same bad fate awaits us.  We will get duller and duller and even when we do share what we think we have it will be dead, of no real value, no real fruit.  And soon, we, too will end up in a wilderness and end up living in a self-imposed curse because we failed to handle the Word of God in a proper way.  And we will become weak and sickly and die.  I Cor. 11 ... 29For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.  30For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. 31For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.  (All this pertains to eating and drinking the Word of God correctly.)

I Cor. 9 ... 24Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. 25And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things.  Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. 26I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: 27But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

Choices ... I have choices to make ...

Mt. 6:  19Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

"lay up" is a deliberate action for me to take ... a choice

Lk. 10 ... 38Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. 39And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word. 40But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. 41And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: 42But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

Choices ... my choices ...

It all comes down to dealing properly daily with meditating in the word of God and making them a part of our lives through this deep attention.  Then in HIM we live and move and have our being that day and we will produce fruit and be fat and flourishing!  That is what I want.  But it takes serious effort and a very serious approach and strong desire to dig for that treasure.
