Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
In II Thess. 1:12, the apostle Paul said: That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (The Word) may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
The name of Jesus is THE WORD.
Paul is saying that each time we speak the Word, Jesus's name is glorified in us.
I thought of how Pam spoke at her single's group telling people that if the divorced woman remarried she commits adultery. She went to the divorced woman in the group when she found this woman was planning to remarry. She showed her verses in the Bible and told her if she did remarry this would be adultery. Pam went to the man in singles group and told him if he married this divorced woman he would commit adultery. (Mt. 5:32) Pam went to the maid of honor and told her this marriage would be adultery.
Pam glorified the Word of God in doing this.
When we speak the Word, we glorify the Word.
And we also suffer with the Word when that Word is rejected by men.
But there is reward for those of us who speak the Word in the darkness and suffer as they reject the Word.
Romans 8 ... The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
We glorify Jesus (the Word) when we speak The Word in the darkness that is around us.
