God values us highly

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Jesus said ... 6Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? 7But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.  Lk. 12

Jesus is showing that God puts a very high value on each of us who belong to HIM.

A sparrow is a very little bird in the realm of birds.  He is not beautiful like a swan nor powerful like an eagle.  He is just a very tiny speck out there on the earth.  Yet each sparrow that dies is remembered by God.  Each is significant in the sight of God.

And even the hairs on our head are significant to God and numbered by God.  The stars in the sky are all named by God and stars are very significant.  Yet God remembers each hair on our head like HE remembers the sparrow.

We might not be important to our neighbors or others, but we a very important to God.

As your own children are important to you, God considers each of us even more than you consider your own children.  For Jesus says ... 7Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 9Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? 10Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?  Mt. 7

Lk. 11 ... 10For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 11If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? 12Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?  13If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

God views each of HIS children even higher than you view your own children ... That is how much God cares for each of us who belong to HIM.

God cares so much for each of us that HE gives us HIS own spirit, the Holy Spirit.

I can't imagine being on this earth without having the Holy Spirit.  Without the Holy Spirit we would stumble about in our own wisdom on this earth.  It would be horrible.

David cried out to God ...  11Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. 12Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

David sinned greatly ... We can feel David's fear in his sins when we hear him beg God to let the Spirit of God continue in him.  And God granted that prayer and continued with David.

Without the Holy Spirit, I wouldn't know the will of God in the issues of this life.  I wouldn't know what to do.  I wouldn't have the constant reminded of various scriptures to comfort me and lead me and give me joy in the midst of the evil of this world.

God's gift of the Holy Spirit to each believer is a very great gift.

The Holy Spirit dwells in us to comfort us by reminding us of things of God and to show us all truth as we go through this present life.  By the Holy Spirit we know the will of God concerning specific issues of this life.  I Cor. 1 ...

The Holy Spirit teaches us all things and guides us into all truth and reminds us of everything Jesus has said and shows us things to come.  Jn. 14:26 & Jn. 16:13.

I wouldn't want to be on this earth without the Holy Spirit.  That is how great this gift is that is from God.

Eph. 1 ... 12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.  13In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
