A passenger airplane going from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing disappeared a little over a month ago. Although multiple countries have sent planes and ships to look for the missing
plane, its exact location and what happened is still not known. A few days ago my mom called and
in the course of the conversation mentioned this missing plane and
commented how hard it must be for families of those on board to not know what happened.
Later I was thinking about these families and was reminded that although we don't
know what happened, God knows. It was comforting to think of this.
No matter what we are dealing with, nothing is hidden from God.
And I was reminded that God knows even what happens with a sparrow, and we are of more value than many sparrows ...
Matthew 10:29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. 30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.
When we see events with our natural eyes, there can be fear and helplessness. But
it is comforting to recall that God knows every detail of whatever we're dealing with, including what help we may need.
