Faith to believe, comes by hearing the Word God would speak concerning the issue of this present life. When that word comes, then the way to believe comes. We cannot believe until we hear for there is no real basis for faith until God reveals the Word on the matter to us.
We can't go about having faith in what we want to have happen. This is unsound. But when we have the word of God on the matter we have a sure foundation for our faith. And we go forward in faith, believing what God has shown us will happen, will happen.
First came the word to Mary. The Holy Spirit said to Mary: (Lk. 1) Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
29And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.
30And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. 31And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. 32He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
34Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
35And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. 36And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. 37For with God nothing shall be impossible.
38And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.
...And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.
It is not a matter of wishing something would happen ... One can pray concerning that which you desire, letting your requests be made known unto God ... Phil. 4:6 ... But after you hear from God on the matter, then you have grounds to believe!
Romans 10:17 ... So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Abraham heard from God ... then Abraham believed what God said to him. (Gen. 12)
First comes THE WORD, then we believe and our faith is based on the word spoken by God on the issue.

Can't serve God and money

How often do you think about money?
I find I rarely think about money.
Getting out of debt and staying out of debt ... About 30 years ago, I saw I needed to get out of debt and stay out of debt. Debt is a type of "stop sign"... I learned to live within (or below) my means ...
The way of this world is to borrow money and to use other people's money to get ahead in this world.
This is not what God showed me.
Jesus says no man can serve two masters. You can't be thinking of money and serve God at the same time.
Mt. 6 ... Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. 22The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. 23But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! 24No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
25Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28And why take ye thought for raiment? All of these verses fit together to show us the way of God for us on this present earth.
The daily focus in on God and the Word of God. If we are thinking about accumulating things or money, we are going in the wrong way.
Amazingly, I have not focused on getting things and miraculously (bit by bit) wonderful things have been added to my life.
I didn't try to get a sound system but I ended up with a very good sound system. I never even thought about acquiring any of these components but as years went by, I lived below my means, yet having all I needed, and money accumulated without my thinking of money and without my trying to save money. Then my sound guy would call and let me know of some component and when I considered it, I always found I had money to buy it if it suited me.
In 1985, I moved to Clovis, NM (USA) to help my mother. That same year, someone ran into my 1972 car. It was badly damaged. It would cost about $900 to repair the car. It would cost about $17,000 to replace the car. I had more than $900 but not anywhere near $17,000. So I had the car repaired. But this also alerted me to the cost of cars at that time. (I was very out of touch with the prices of cars.) I still didn't try to save for car. I just lived within my means (or below my means). Still I had plenty. A few years later, I had the money to buy car so I changed cars. I bought new car in 1994 and paid cash for the car. I'm still driving that car.
If you are in debt, you will be focused on money. If you are living beyond your means or at the top of your means, you will likely be concerned and focused on money.
When you keep the following before you day and night and live according to this instruction, everything will change. Paul said: But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 8And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. 9But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. I Tim. 6
If you are in debt, the first step is to get out of debt. Many years ago, when I set about to get out of debt, of course I prayed, asking God to help me. I began to cut back on what I was spending and put everything possible toward paying off the debt. I found there were a great many things I just did not need. I even cut back on small things. When I was out, I didn't purchase such things as coffee or tea with meals. That was unnecessary expense. Everthing was put toward paying the debt. I continued to try to focus daily on what God wanted me to do and withing a few months the way had been made where all debt was resolved.
At that time I lived in apartment. I could afford rent but I couldn't afford to pay for house. I lived within my means, doing what I could pay for. I know it seems wise to borrow money for housing. That is debt and I chose not to go that way. When I moved to Clovis, my mother lived in a trailer house. It was parked on a lot which we owned. I considered buying a trailer to put beside her trailer but then I realized with her money and what I had accumulated we had enough money to have two apartments built on that lot. This is what I did. Through the 18 years I took care of my mother, money accumulated. After she died, I had enough to build a house in Lubbock, TX.
Money goes out ... then there is a time money accumulates. I just try to focus on God, on Bible, on doing what I believe I'm shown that day, and stay our of debt, there is a way to avoid the focus on money and keep focus on God. And all these things are added unto you just as Jesus said it would be in Mt. 6.

Example of work of a NT apostle

After Jesus arose, HE gave to the church apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers for the work of the ministry.
Eph. 4 When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. 9(Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? 10He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) 11And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
When Jesus walked on the earth HE called to himself 12 apostles, one was Judas. After the resurrection, Peter said they must replace Judas. Acts 1 ... 21Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, 22Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection. 23And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias. 24And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen, 25That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place. 26And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
Notice the requirement for apostle was one who had "companied" with Peter and the other apostles from the time Jesus walked on the earth in the flesh. And the lot fell on Matthias and he took the place of Judas and became one of the 12 apostles.
Today so many churches say there are no longer apostles in the NT Church. They say Paul was the last apostle. But this is not even reasonable. Matthias was the last apostle numbered with the original apostles. Paul was persecuting the Christians at the time Matthias was appointed apostle.
So where does Paul really fit?
Paul was not the last apostle. Paul is an example of an apostle appointed after Jesus arose.
Eph. 4 ... When HE ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. ...11And HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
What do apostles do in the NT church today?
Apostles are anointed by God by the Holy Spirit to deal with doctrine and to cause the church, which is those of us who are born again, to eliminate false doctrines set up by men and to establish the true doctrine of the Bible. (We have to eliminate these false doctrines from our own hearts for they have been planted there by men in the church groups and by devils who bring wrong thoughts to our minds.)
What you have just seen me speak is an example of the work of an apostle. The false doctrine is there are no apostles in the church today. Eph. 4 shows that Jesus gave apostles to the church after HE was resurrected so there are apostles today. False doctrine is that Paul was the last apostle and there are no more apostles today. This is not what the Bible teaches. The Bible teaches that after Jesus arose, HE gave to the church "apostles" for the work of the ministry. (Eph. 4)
What I have just written shows the work of apostle in the NT church. Apostles work to uproot perverse doctrine and to establish truth in the church. (We must not think of "the church" as being a group in one city where we live. Often these people are not the church, not being born of the Spirit and living in false doctrine without change. The church are those individuals throughout the entire world who are born again, having the Spirit of God. We are scattered everywhere.)
Another example of apostle's work ... A question arose after God showed the Gentiles were appointed for salvation.
"What are we going to do about the Gentiles? Do we require that the Gentiles be circumcised as the Jews are circumcised?"
Acts 15 shows the working of apostles in this decision. They met at Jerusalem to settle this matter.
6And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.
7And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe. 8And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; 9And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. 10Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? 11But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
12Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.
13And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me: 14Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name. 15And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written, 16After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: 17That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things. 18Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.
James gives the ruling on the matter ... Acts 15 ... 19Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: 20But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
The ruling was the Gentiles did not need to be circumcised.
In the book of Galations, Paul went into detail concerning not requiring the Gentiles to be circumcised.
Today, if the question arose, as an apostle, I would refer everyone to these passages and say the Gentiles today do not need to be circumcised and should anyone try this they make faith in Jesus of no effect. This is what Paul told us in Gal. 5 ... 2Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. 3For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. 4Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

Apostles cling to scripture by the Holy Spirit and make rulings concerning doctrine.
Another example: In today's churches divorce and remarriage after divorce is widely approved.
But Jesus said ... Mt. 5:32 ... But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
So these church groups approve remarriage for a divorced woman if her husband commits adultery against her.
But this is not what Jesus said. And Paul made it clear to the NT Church in I Cor. 7 and again in Romans 7.
I Cor. 7 ... (concerning women) 10And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: 11But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband:
Paul says this is a "commandment of the Lord" for the women in the church.
Also Paul explains:
I Cor. 7 ... 39The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.
Back to what Jesus said in Mt. 5:32 ... But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
The man who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.
The churches today have long removed the doctrine of Christ concerning the subject of divorce/remarriage.
As an apostle, appointed by God, I state what Jesus and Paul said in the Bible. If the divorced woman remarries she commits adultery. She can depart from her husband but she is to remain unmarried. And the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery. And the husband who divorces a faithful wife will be the cause of her adultery should she remarry.
What you have seen me do here is an example of an apostle, appointed by God. I have dealt with the question and presented the scripture and ruled on the issue by scripture by the Holy Spirit.

Who says I am an apostle?
Paul said he was an apostle not of man but by God. Gal. 1 ... 1Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)
Some thought Paul could not be an apostle because Paul did not walk with the other apostles when Jesus was on the earth in the flesh. We know that some questioned Paul's being an apostle. Paul shows us this in the following scripture. I Cor. 9 ... Paul says ... 2If I be not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am to you: for the seal of mine apostleship are ye in the Lord.
I was born again in 1975. Shortly after this, in the night as I slept, I was transported into heaven where I knew I was with God, with Jesus, with the Holy Spirit though I saw no images. At that time, I was merged into the body of Jesus, made one with Jesus. A few nights after this the exact same thing happened again. I was transported into heaven in the night as I slept. I was merged into the body of Jesus, made one with the word of God. God and the Holy Spirit witnessed. I saw no images.
After this, by prophecy, Jesus said to me: I have called you and set you in the body of Christ as an apostle ...
I cried out, "Apostle ... what's an apostle?" (Several times it had been confirmed to me that I was a prophet and I didn't doubt this, but this was the first time I'd heard of "apostle".)
I told no one about this at the time. But I did ask Don Gelino, a Bible teacher at the church I was attending, "What does an apostle do? Who are the apostles in our church group." Don could not give an answer to either question although our church group did profess that there were apostles & prophets in the church. We just didn't seem to know any apostles nor did we know what they did in the church.
So I turned to God for HIM to teach me what an apostle does in the church and the first scripture God took me to is Acts 15 where James said: 19Wherefore my sentence is,
And as God continued teaching me about the work of apostles in the church, I saw that much of this work had to do with making judgments concerning church doctrine and holding to scripture by the Holy Spirit in the church, uprooting incorrect doctrine that creeps into the church doctrine.
This is what I do continually. It is not a matter of establishing new rulings, new doctrine, rather it is upholding the original doctrines presented in the Bible by Jesus, Peter, Paul and others. Many of these have been replaced by another doctrine in today's church groups.
A current creeping perversion in today's church groups has to do with homosexuals. Some church groups are even taught that being homosexual is like being born black. There is no sin in being born black. And they teach there is no sin in being homosexual.
Certainly there in no sin in being black (although black & white and all men and women are born with sin nature).
But homosexuals are people given over by God to a reprobate mind, a mind without God's judgment. Romans 1. They do unnatural acts and these acts are described in Romans 1 as God given them over to "vile affections".
Romans 1 ... 26For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. 28And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Can a homosexual be saved? YES. Just as a fornicator and adulterer and a thief and a drunkard and an idolater can be saved, so can a homosexual be saved by the will of God.
I Cor. 6 ... 9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate (homosexuals), nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
But if the homosexual is born again, he will not continue in homosexual acts. If the adulterer and fornicator is born again, he (or she) will not continue in those sins. And all these sins will be viewed as "shame" and the person should not even speak of such shameful sins of his (her) past for it is a great shame. (Eph. 5:12)
After we are born again, we are changed by God through the Holy Spirit into new creatures and we are constantly recreated into the image of Christ as we deal with various problems of this present life in a godly way by the information given us by the Spirit of God who now dwells in us.
It is the work of apostle in the church to deal with these doctrines and set them according to Bible by the Holy Spirit.
Paul said the following before departing: Acts 20 ... 26Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men. 27For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God. 28Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. 29For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. 30Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. 31Therefore watch,
So how can we straighten all this out in the church today?
If we are thinking of such things as Baptist, Methodist, Catholic, Assembly of God and other church groups who have perverted doctrine, we will not be able to straighten this out.
Most in these groups are not born again. This is truly the end time church where they fall away from scripture and set up another gospel though they still say "Jesus is Lord." They cast aside many scriptures to please themselves and to approve church goers. This is the falling away which allows the spirit of antichrist to reign as god in the various churches. Paul said that would happen. II Thess 2
We deal with those who are born again, individuals all over the world who read such writings as I write here. In the church, which is us, we can straighten out perverse doctrine. This is what I do all the time for this is what I am appointed by God to do as an apostle/prophet.
But you will not be able to straighten out perverse doctrine in the groups you attend. But you do not have to be perverse. And when you see the truth you will not be able to sit among the perverse for it will be an abomination to you. You will have to come out and separate to God with people who demonstrate a willingness to give up perverse doctrine. And we may not be in the same town as we follow God. In our church group, none are in the same town. We are scattered around the USA. But we are connected by the Holy Spirit and we can even communicate with each other due to modern ways of communication though we are hundreds of miles apart. Usually when I read the above scripture I think immediately of the Catholic church who forbids the eating of meat on Fridays. This practice is not in Bible and we are even told not to reject that created by God.
Churches set up many doctrines which are not in Bible and require their followers to do these things not required by God.
Recently a woman spoke to me telling me what she was giving up for Lent. There is no such thing in Bible as Lent. Certainly there is no requirement for us to make a sacrifice giving up something we enjoy unless what we enjoy happens to be a sin ... fornication, adultery, drunkenness and such. Then we give that up permanently after we are born again and have the Spirit of God.

People often depart from the "faith" setting up strange doctrines to follow, even doctrines which deny the faith which is in God and HIS provisions and in the HOLY scriptures.
Recently my cousin who is Church of Christ said they now know some of the things they have taught are wrong but they don't want to remove the wrong doctrine because it would hurt the faith of their older members. Amazing. They are "speaking lies in hypocrisy" (I Tim. 4:2) ... when they know better and still teach wrong doctrine ....

And some do follow "seducing" spirits. It is not unusual for "bad thoughts" to come to me about another person. When this happens I can pray, asking God for wisdom concerning that person. The "bad" thought could be God showing me some evil that person is doing. Or the "bad" thought could be from devil. Certainly I want to yield to the thought when it is from God and resist the thought when it is from the devil. And since God promises to give us wisdom when we ask HIM, James 1:5, I have the assurance that God will give me wisdom when I ask for wisdom in the subject at hand.
A "bad sounding thought" might be from Spirit of God. You might have a thought that a doctrine taught at your church group is wrong. The thing to do is to prove that doctrine ... through prayer and study of Bible. If you have Holy Spirit, HE will guide you into truth as you submit to HIM.

One of the very strange doctines practiced by a majority of Christian type churches today is the doctrine that the Lord's supper is crackers and grape juice. They pass this around to their church group and call it "The Lord's supper."
But the Lord's supper is the Word of God.
The way we partake of the Word of God is very serious. If we partake wrongly of the Word of God, we "eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. 30For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. 31For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. 32But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world". (I Cor. 11)
Crackers and grape juice have nothing at all to do with judging ourselves. We judge ourselves by the scriptures through prayer.

If we see "flee fornication" and we are committing fornication while we have the Word of God on the matter of fornication (I Cor. 6) we can be in extreme danger of being turned over to a reprobate mind.
Romans 1 ... 28And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them
To continue in fornication while reading the Bible and attending church is a part of the falling away from scripture and should set the person up to be weak and sickly and some even die. (It can be a physical death and it can be spiritual death.)
We examine ourselves through the Word of God by the Spirit of God.
But in the last days, people will depart from scripture and explain away scripture and end up going in paths of destruction in the church as they attend church and tithe.

Paul says in the last days there will be a falling away. (II Thess. 2) This does not necessarily mean they will stop going to church. It means the churches will depart from scripture, thus falling away from truth.
For example: Jesus says the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery. (Mt. 5:32)
I've never heard this taught at a church gathering. These churches who omit this instruction have already fallen away from truth in order to pursue their own lusts and not offend anyone.
In I Tim. 4, "forbidding to marry" does not pertain to forbidding to remarry. There is a very big difference between marriage and remarriage.

The Catholic church forbids their priests to marry. The Bible does not forbid a minister to marry though to marry a divorced woman would be adultery (Mt. 5:32)
One time I was speaking with my contractor who is Catholic. He brought up the subject of the priest in the Catholic church who have been identified as pedophiles (having sex with children). I told him if the Catholic church permitted priests to marry some of this might be stopped. He replied, "Well ... I don't know about allowing priests to marry." I said: "Peter was married." My contractor gasped when I said this. He was very disturbed. I took Bible and showed him where it spoke in Bible of Peter's mother-in-law. Mt. 8 ... 14And when Jesus was come into Peter’s house, he saw his wife’s mother laid, and sick of a fever.
Later I learned the Catholic church considers Peter to be their founder. No wonder my contractor was so shocked when he heard me say Peter was married.
Another scripture proving Peter was married and that Peter even had children is the following:
I Peter 5 ... Peter says ... 1The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder
Here are requirement for an elder in the church ...

Bishop and elder are the same thing.
We see these words "bishop and elder" used interchangeably in the following scripture ...
Titus 1 ... 5For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:
6If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly. 7For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre; 8But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate; 9Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.
(We see in this scripture that an elder is to be" husband of one wife, having faithful children")
So by the scriptures we see Peter (who said he is an elder) must be married and have children ...

We see all manner of changes in doctrine in churches ... yet the Bible is the only thing we can go by ... But so many churches have already fallen away from scripture as they set up their own way falling away from Bible instructions.. So many churches have already fallen away. Their doctrine shows this falling away when compared with Bible.
There are many false doctrines in church groups today. We should not sit among a church group when the doctrine is against the scriptures. To sit among them is to sanction them in their evil doing and even to become a part of their evil doing even if you do disagree with them. If you disagree with doctrine why would you stay there.
II Jn. ... 9Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ (THE WORD), hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
10If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
It is the end times.
After Jesus arose, HE gave to the church apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers for the work of the ministry.
Eph. 4 When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. 9(Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? 10He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) 11And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
When Jesus walked on the earth HE called to himself 12 apostles, one was Judas. After the resurrection, Peter said they must replace Judas. Acts 1 ... 21Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, 22Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection. 23And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias. 24And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen, 25That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place. 26And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
Notice the requirement for apostle was one who had "companied" with Peter and the other apostles from the time Jesus walked on the earth in the flesh. And the lot fell on Matthias and he took the place of Judas and became one of the 12 apostles.
Today so many churches say there are no longer apostles in the NT Church. They say Paul was the last apostle. But this is not even reasonable. Matthias was the last apostle numbered with the original apostles. Paul was persecuting the Christians at the time Matthias was appointed apostle.
So where does Paul really fit?
Paul was not the last apostle. Paul is an example of an apostle appointed after Jesus arose.
Eph. 4 ... When HE ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. ...11And HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
What do apostles do in the NT church today?
Apostles are anointed by God by the Holy Spirit to deal with doctrine and to cause the church, which is those of us who are born again, to eliminate false doctrines set up by men and to establish the true doctrine of the Bible. (We have to eliminate these false doctrines from our own hearts for they have been planted there by men in the church groups and by devils who bring wrong thoughts to our minds.)
What you have just seen me speak is an example of the work of an apostle. The false doctrine is there are no apostles in the church today. Eph. 4 shows that Jesus gave apostles to the church after HE was resurrected so there are apostles today. False doctrine is that Paul was the last apostle and there are no more apostles today. This is not what the Bible teaches. The Bible teaches that after Jesus arose, HE gave to the church "apostles" for the work of the ministry. (Eph. 4)
What I have just written shows the work of apostle in the NT church. Apostles work to uproot perverse doctrine and to establish truth in the church. (We must not think of "the church" as being a group in one city where we live. Often these people are not the church, not being born of the Spirit and living in false doctrine without change. The church are those individuals throughout the entire world who are born again, having the Spirit of God. We are scattered everywhere.)
Another example of apostle's work ... A question arose after God showed the Gentiles were appointed for salvation.
"What are we going to do about the Gentiles? Do we require that the Gentiles be circumcised as the Jews are circumcised?"
Acts 15 shows the working of apostles in this decision. They met at Jerusalem to settle this matter.
6And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.
7And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe. 8And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; 9And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. 10Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? 11But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
12Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.
13And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me: 14Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name. 15And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written, 16After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: 17That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things. 18Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.
James gives the ruling on the matter ... Acts 15 ... 19Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: 20But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
The ruling was the Gentiles did not need to be circumcised.
In the book of Galations, Paul went into detail concerning not requiring the Gentiles to be circumcised.
Today, if the question arose, as an apostle, I would refer everyone to these passages and say the Gentiles today do not need to be circumcised and should anyone try this they make faith in Jesus of no effect. This is what Paul told us in Gal. 5 ... 2Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. 3For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. 4Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

Apostles cling to scripture by the Holy Spirit and make rulings concerning doctrine.
Another example: In today's churches divorce and remarriage after divorce is widely approved.
But Jesus said ... Mt. 5:32 ... But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
So these church groups approve remarriage for a divorced woman if her husband commits adultery against her.
But this is not what Jesus said. And Paul made it clear to the NT Church in I Cor. 7 and again in Romans 7.
I Cor. 7 ... (concerning women) 10And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: 11But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband:
Paul says this is a "commandment of the Lord" for the women in the church.
Also Paul explains:
I Cor. 7 ... 39The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.
Back to what Jesus said in Mt. 5:32 ... But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
The man who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.
The churches today have long removed the doctrine of Christ concerning the subject of divorce/remarriage.
As an apostle, appointed by God, I state what Jesus and Paul said in the Bible. If the divorced woman remarries she commits adultery. She can depart from her husband but she is to remain unmarried. And the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery. And the husband who divorces a faithful wife will be the cause of her adultery should she remarry.
What you have seen me do here is an example of an apostle, appointed by God. I have dealt with the question and presented the scripture and ruled on the issue by scripture by the Holy Spirit.

Who says I am an apostle?
Paul said he was an apostle not of man but by God. Gal. 1 ... 1Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)
Some thought Paul could not be an apostle because Paul did not walk with the other apostles when Jesus was on the earth in the flesh. We know that some questioned Paul's being an apostle. Paul shows us this in the following scripture. I Cor. 9 ... Paul says ... 2If I be not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am to you: for the seal of mine apostleship are ye in the Lord.
I was born again in 1975. Shortly after this, in the night as I slept, I was transported into heaven where I knew I was with God, with Jesus, with the Holy Spirit though I saw no images. At that time, I was merged into the body of Jesus, made one with Jesus. A few nights after this the exact same thing happened again. I was transported into heaven in the night as I slept. I was merged into the body of Jesus, made one with the word of God. God and the Holy Spirit witnessed. I saw no images.
After this, by prophecy, Jesus said to me: I have called you and set you in the body of Christ as an apostle ...
I cried out, "Apostle ... what's an apostle?" (Several times it had been confirmed to me that I was a prophet and I didn't doubt this, but this was the first time I'd heard of "apostle".)
I told no one about this at the time. But I did ask Don Gelino, a Bible teacher at the church I was attending, "What does an apostle do? Who are the apostles in our church group." Don could not give an answer to either question although our church group did profess that there were apostles & prophets in the church. We just didn't seem to know any apostles nor did we know what they did in the church.
So I turned to God for HIM to teach me what an apostle does in the church and the first scripture God took me to is Acts 15 where James said: 19Wherefore my sentence is,
And as God continued teaching me about the work of apostles in the church, I saw that much of this work had to do with making judgments concerning church doctrine and holding to scripture by the Holy Spirit in the church, uprooting incorrect doctrine that creeps into the church doctrine.
This is what I do continually. It is not a matter of establishing new rulings, new doctrine, rather it is upholding the original doctrines presented in the Bible by Jesus, Peter, Paul and others. Many of these have been replaced by another doctrine in today's church groups.
A current creeping perversion in today's church groups has to do with homosexuals. Some church groups are even taught that being homosexual is like being born black. There is no sin in being born black. And they teach there is no sin in being homosexual.
Certainly there in no sin in being black (although black & white and all men and women are born with sin nature).
But homosexuals are people given over by God to a reprobate mind, a mind without God's judgment. Romans 1. They do unnatural acts and these acts are described in Romans 1 as God given them over to "vile affections".
Romans 1 ... 26For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. 28And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Can a homosexual be saved? YES. Just as a fornicator and adulterer and a thief and a drunkard and an idolater can be saved, so can a homosexual be saved by the will of God.
I Cor. 6 ... 9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate (homosexuals), nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
But if the homosexual is born again, he will not continue in homosexual acts. If the adulterer and fornicator is born again, he (or she) will not continue in those sins. And all these sins will be viewed as "shame" and the person should not even speak of such shameful sins of his (her) past for it is a great shame. (Eph. 5:12)
After we are born again, we are changed by God through the Holy Spirit into new creatures and we are constantly recreated into the image of Christ as we deal with various problems of this present life in a godly way by the information given us by the Spirit of God who now dwells in us.
It is the work of apostle in the church to deal with these doctrines and set them according to Bible by the Holy Spirit.
Paul said the following before departing: Acts 20 ... 26Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men. 27For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God. 28Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. 29For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. 30Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. 31Therefore watch,
So how can we straighten all this out in the church today?
If we are thinking of such things as Baptist, Methodist, Catholic, Assembly of God and other church groups who have perverted doctrine, we will not be able to straighten this out.
Most in these groups are not born again. This is truly the end time church where they fall away from scripture and set up another gospel though they still say "Jesus is Lord." They cast aside many scriptures to please themselves and to approve church goers. This is the falling away which allows the spirit of antichrist to reign as god in the various churches. Paul said that would happen. II Thess 2
We deal with those who are born again, individuals all over the world who read such writings as I write here. In the church, which is us, we can straighten out perverse doctrine. This is what I do all the time for this is what I am appointed by God to do as an apostle/prophet.

To continue in fornication while reading the Bible and attending church is a part of the falling away from scripture and should set the person up to be weak and sickly and some even die. (It can be a physical death and it can be spiritual death.)
We examine ourselves through the Word of God by the Spirit of God.
But in the last days, people will depart from scripture and explain away scripture and end up going in paths of destruction in the church as they attend church and tithe.

Paul says in the last days there will be a falling away. (II Thess. 2) This does not necessarily mean they will stop going to church. It means the churches will depart from scripture, thus falling away from truth.
For example: Jesus says the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery. (Mt. 5:32)
I've never heard this taught at a church gathering. These churches who omit this instruction have already fallen away from truth in order to pursue their own lusts and not offend anyone.
In I Tim. 4, "forbidding to marry" does not pertain to forbidding to remarry. There is a very big difference between marriage and remarriage.

The Catholic church forbids their priests to marry. The Bible does not forbid a minister to marry though to marry a divorced woman would be adultery (Mt. 5:32)
One time I was speaking with my contractor who is Catholic. He brought up the subject of the priest in the Catholic church who have been identified as pedophiles (having sex with children). I told him if the Catholic church permitted priests to marry some of this might be stopped. He replied, "Well ... I don't know about allowing priests to marry." I said: "Peter was married." My contractor gasped when I said this. He was very disturbed. I took Bible and showed him where it spoke in Bible of Peter's mother-in-law. Mt. 8 ... 14And when Jesus was come into Peter’s house, he saw his wife’s mother laid, and sick of a fever.
Later I learned the Catholic church considers Peter to be their founder. No wonder my contractor was so shocked when he heard me say Peter was married.
Another scripture proving Peter was married and that Peter even had children is the following:
I Peter 5 ... Peter says ... 1The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder
Here are requirement for an elder in the church ...
I Tim. 3 ...1This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. 2A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; 3Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; 4One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; 5(For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?) 6Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. 7Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
Bishop and elder are the same thing.
We see these words "bishop and elder" used interchangeably in the following scripture ...
Titus 1 ... 5For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:

(We see in this scripture that an elder is to be" husband of one wife, having faithful children")
So by the scriptures we see Peter (who said he is an elder) must be married and have children ...

We see all manner of changes in doctrine in churches ... yet the Bible is the only thing we can go by ... But so many churches have already fallen away from scripture as they set up their own way falling away from Bible instructions.. So many churches have already fallen away. Their doctrine shows this falling away when compared with Bible.
There are many false doctrines in church groups today. We should not sit among a church group when the doctrine is against the scriptures. To sit among them is to sanction them in their evil doing and even to become a part of their evil doing even if you do disagree with them. If you disagree with doctrine why would you stay there.
II Jn. ... 9Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ (THE WORD), hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
10If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

At first, I panic usually ... but when I settle down from the initial shock, I pray. And when God brings HIS word to me concerning the fearful area, I have been able to believe that Word. And when this happens, it matter is settled for me.

Yesterday I went to new pharmacy to pick up prescription ... At the previous pharmacy the price of the prescription was $204. At the new pharmacy (Costco) the same prescription was $35. Shocking to me!
When I went to pick up food after getting this prescription, there was an elderly man waiting at cafe for his take out order. I sat down beside him and the thought came, "Share story of differences in cost of prescription at these two pharmacies." I said to that spirit who brought the thought to share this:: "Do you confess Jesus Christ is come in the flesh." I heard, "No." But as I visited with this man, I did share the enormous difference in prices. He said, "Well if it was me, I would think they left something out of the prescription.:" (I knew this was not the case.) I was then sorry I had shared this with this man. But I'm the one who went through God's stop sign for I had tried the spirit that brought the thought to share and received a "no" but I shared anyway, bringing unnecessary harm to myself.
Then I was reminded of a scripture to define this man who couldn't see good when it came his way.
Jeremiah 17 ... Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. 6For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.
Concerning me and my sharing with this man, I was reminded of the following instruction. Jesus said: Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. Mt. 7:6
The spirit leading me to share with this man had identified that it was not of God.
But I wanted so much to help him that I shared something that could help and ended up having him "gore" me.
I was telling this story to Pam. She said this story really had the power to help those of us who are of God and to show us to do what John said to do and try the spirit to see whether it was from God and be spared harm.

When I was born again, when God revealed Himself to me, I seemed to have a built in "fear of God" ... I just knew what God told me was the way I must go ... Any other way would be deadly. The only secure way is the way of God. Therefore this was my goal.

Instance where Paul spoke to their shame

In I Cor. 15, we have a report where Paul was dealing with people in the church who were saying there is no resurrection of the dead.
Paul rebukes these people for picking up false information and spreading false information. In the following scripture Paul corrects them and tells them he speaks "to their shame" ... in other words, they should be ashamed of themselves for taking these false things in.
I Cor. 15 ... Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: 14And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
... But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. 21For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 22For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 23But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming. 24Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. 25For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. 26The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. 27For he hath put all things under his feet. It is a shame for the church to be influenced this way by the world for we should know the world does not have the knowledge of God. Therefore it is a shame to cast aside what we know and believe them and to repeat to others that spoken by them.
Paul is telling them they allowed evil communications to corrupt themselves. This should not be, especially when we have Holy Spirit in us.
I am acquainted with a woman who is very religious and faithfully attends her church group, but I know she does not have the Spirit of God in her. She is led by teaching of humans. She loves sensational things. I do not permit myself to take in her many stories for I know they are of the flesh of man. Often when she speaks, God will remind me of a scripture to counter what she says. Sometimes I will just pray, asking God to help me. I know "evil communications" can corrupt good manners so I usually take spiritual action when she tells fleshly stories or spreads fear as she often does. I know she is unable to control herself for she does not have the built in controls provided by the Spirit of God.

1 Timothy 6:17-19 ... Scripture: Shared by body of Christ
1 Timothy 6:17-19 ... 17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that
they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living
God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; 18 That they do good,
that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to

Riches from God are very different from riches acquired by man.
Most people try to get more money. This would be riches acquired by man.
Riches acquired from God come when we seek the kingdom of God daily and focus on HIS will daily. Then we find we are not thinking of acquiring riches but rather are just trying to please God and focus on today, not on tomorrow. This is opposite from way of the world. And when we do this, "all these things are added unto us" without our trying to get things. Mt. 6
Jesus warned us that we cannot serve two masters for we will end up loving the one and hating the other ... Therefore we cannot seek money and try to accumulate more money and serve God at the same time. Some people try to do this but it cannot be done. Some people say to themselves they will acquire riches so they can give to the church but in the acquisition of riches they invariably set aside parts of the word of God in their lust for more money. They may even give to the church but that doesn't make it right.
Mt. 6 ... Jesus says ... Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
22The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. 23But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
24No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
25Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life,
... But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
I Tim. 6 ... having food and raiment let us be therewith content. 9But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
Do you have food for today? Do you have clothing? If so, we are told to "be content". Relax. Turn to God in prayer. Allow yourself to be led by the Holy Spirit today. Set aside tomorrow and focus on today. As you do this daily, you will get to the right position. Focus on that which is right in the sight of God.

Problem turning into good

This week, we had a momentary power outage and there was a click and I noticed the screen come onto my Krell sound processor. It was automatically rebooting after the power interruption.
I checked the equipment and found the amps had gone to stand by and had to be reset. The CD player had to be reset. I began going though the system and found everything worked except for the satellite. I could not get a TV picture. But even as I was checking out the system, I kept hearing a scripture: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 I knew somehow this problem was going to benefit me.
A TV technician had to come out to check the problem. As we worked through the issues, I was able to see exactly what to do in future power outages. I wrote the instructions in my notebook so I could reset everything should this happen in future. I knew that information would be very helpful to me and it had been a good thing to get a technician who could help me sort though this and have all the information in writing.

Lacking control of the Spirit of God

There is a woman I am acquainted with who is very religious ... but doesn't have the Spirit of God. Her religious is of her own self by her own desire and by tradition of her parents and grandparents. She faithfully attends church but doesn't know Bible.
Recently twice in one week, she became angry with me. Once she had offered to help me but when the day came to help me she didn't want to help me. The second point where she was angry had to do with us going to dinner. She told me to call her if I wanted to go on the appointed day. I called and told her I would be able to go with her. She flared up against me saying: "I don't care if we go ... it doesn't matter to me."
I didn't say a word ... I just stayed very quiet and very still ...
Then she said, "What time do you want to go?"
I knew devils were taking over in her at these two angry moments. The actions were irrational. Devils make people crazy. Then when the people come to their senses, they are fine again.

It is helpful to recognize when devils are speaking through another person or working through another person.
Eph. 6:12 ... For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
It is helpful for us to remember they do not have the control of God but we do have the control of God, having the Spirit of God in us.
I Jn. 4:4 ... Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

In this case, the control over me was from within and I was led by God in this case to respond to this woman's irrational actions and to her anger with a type of quietness, knowing she is without godly control and operates by her religious, fleshly mind. But I am controlled by God and was controlled by God in these two instances. And I knew she was only acting this way because devils had taken over in her.
There is a woman I am acquainted with who is very religious ... but doesn't have the Spirit of God. Her religious is of her own self by her own desire and by tradition of her parents and grandparents. She faithfully attends church but doesn't know Bible.
Recently twice in one week, she became angry with me. Once she had offered to help me but when the day came to help me she didn't want to help me. The second point where she was angry had to do with us going to dinner. She told me to call her if I wanted to go on the appointed day. I called and told her I would be able to go with her. She flared up against me saying: "I don't care if we go ... it doesn't matter to me."
I didn't say a word ... I just stayed very quiet and very still ...
Then she said, "What time do you want to go?"
I knew devils were taking over in her at these two angry moments. The actions were irrational. Devils make people crazy. Then when the people come to their senses, they are fine again.

Psalm 15:1-2 ... Scripture: Shared by body of Christ
Psalm 15:1-2 ... Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall
dwell in thy holy hill? 2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh
righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

If truth is in our hearts, then we are probably children of God. If truth rises up inside us to overcome the lies, we are probably children of God. The Spirit of God is the Spirit of truth.
The devil is a liar and Jesus says the devil does not abide in the truth because there is no truth in him.
Jn. 8 ... Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
If we live in truth, abide in truth setting aside lies when they come to us, then we are children of God, children of the truth.

Jesus went unto the mount of Olives. 2And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them. 3And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, 4They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. 5Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? 6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him.
They were using scripture to try to get Jesus to act to uphold the scripture but they were doing this to tempt him. They used the strongest possible temptation ... the upholding of scripture ... "after all, this is what Moses said to do so are you going along with the scripture?" they asked Jesus.
But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. 7So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. 8And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. 9And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
10When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? 11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee:
But neither did Jesus approve adultery therefore HE said to this woman:
"go, and sin no more."
There is a sin unto death. I Jn. 5 John said he did not say we should pray when someone commits a sin unto death.
I Jn. 5 ... If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. 17All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.
A sin unto death would be if this woman went out and kept committing adultery after she was told by Jesus to "go, and sin no more".
There would then be no more sacrifice for that sin for to keep sinning would be to do following:

For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 28He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? 30For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. 31It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

1 Cor. 10:13 ... Scripture: Shared by body of Christ
1 Corinthians 10:13 ... There hath no temptation taken you but such as
is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be
tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a
way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

People often go about desiring to sin, looking for fornication partners. But we, who are of God, turn to God if we are tempted in any form of sin and God makes ways of escape for us because we want to escape and also because God is faithful.
No matter what the temptation, God is faithful and does not allow us to be tempted above that which we are able to handle ... and God does make a way to escape for us. I recall several times (in various temptations) that I called on God and asked HIM to help me and HE always did make a way of escape from that temptation.
Those who end up committing adultery and fornication want to commit adultery and fornication. They do not look for a way to escape nor seek God for way to escape because they want to do what they do and do not want a way of escape.
But for those who want a way of escape, God arranges it, one way or another.

My older sister had been at college two years when I started attending the same school. She dated a man who was a member of a fraternity, and she had become a member of the fraternity's "women's auxiliary", assisting with fraternity social functions. She was very excited for me to join the social circles she was in, and especially wanted me to meet members of the fraternity.
The first week of school my sister invited me to go to a student bar where many of the fraternity guys gathered on Thursday nights. I went, but found what was going on there to be so bad (lewdness, drunkenness, etc.) that I was unable to stay and I walked back to the dormitory.
A week or so later my sister asked if I'd go to an outdoor luau with one of the freshmen "pledges" at the fraternity. The luau site was about 20 miles away near a river, and there would be a campfire. The setting was very appealing to me, plus I was excited about having a date, and I agreed to go.
Then, a few days before the luau, my sister told me that arrangements had been made for one of the other fraternity guys to take me to the luau because my date would be spending the day at the luau site building a hut for us ... a young man I had never even met was building a hut "for us"!
Suddenly the reality of this luau became very clear to me. This was not going to be people sitting around a campfire roasting marshmallows. The lewdness and drunkenness I had seen at the student bar was probably mild compared to what would be going on at this luau ... and I wouldn't be able to walk home.
I told my sister that I couldn't go along with this and did not want to go, but she kept insisting that it was too late for me to back out, that it was too late for this guy to find another date.
I turned very strongly to God, asking Him to somehow get me out of this situation. There seemed no way out. At one point I asked God to let me have appendicitis, preferring to be in a hospital having surgery than to go to this luau.
The morning of the luau I woke up and checked to see if I might have any pain that would indicate appendicitis, and was disappointed that I felt fine. I kept praying for God to somehow work this out. Time was really running out! When I looked outside, it was raining a little, but not much. However, the rain became heavier and heavier as the day went on.
Around 2 pm I received a call from the fraternity guy who planned to take me to the luau site. He told me how sorry he was to have to tell me this, but the luau had to be cancelled. The luau site had been totally flooded, washing away all the huts that had been built, which would include the hut my date had built for us. He told me how long the luau had been held at this same site (many years) and, although there had been rain at times in the past, nothing like this had ever happened before, flooding and causing the luau to be cancelled.
I rejoiced, knowing that God had delivered me.

Stand fast in the Lord, the word given you by God through the Holy Spirit.
As I thought about this, immediately I was reminded of: your labour is not in vain in the Lord. I Cor. 15:58
This is something I choose to believe ... I write many exhortations ... they are not in vain for they are inspired by the Holy Spirit and have power to help those who believe and are food for us and help sustain us in these evil times.
For each of us who belong to God, the Holy Spirit gives us words which we can "stand on" in times of trial as we "wait" for that in which we hope. Focus on that word.

Saul sought to kill David, but it was not the will of God for David to be killed by Saul, having chosen David to reign over Israel instead of Saul. And God continually provided a way for David to be delivered.
Reviewing how wonderfully God delivered David strengthens faith in God ... that God will bring about what He has said, is constantly aware of what we are facing, and is able to help us according to His will and purpose for us, nothing being impossible for God. Following are a few examples of God delivering David.
Saul tried to kill David with a javelin as David played music to help Saul when the evil spirit from the Lord was upon Saul. David was able to slip away, and his wife helped him escape. David fled to Samuel in Ramah, where God protected David in an amazing way ...
1 Samuel 19:18 So David fled, and escaped, and came to Samuel to Ramah, and told him all that Saul had done to him. And he and Samuel went and dwelt in Naioth. 19 And it was told Saul, saying, Behold, David is at Naioth in Ramah. 20 And Saul sent messengers to take David: and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as appointed over them, the Spirit of God was upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied. 21 And when it was told Saul, he sent other messengers, and they prophesied likewise. And Saul sent messengers again the third time, and they prophesied also. 22 Then went he also to Ramah, and came to a great well that is in Sechu: and he asked and said, Where are Samuel and David? And one said, Behold, they be at Naioth in Ramah. 23 And he went thither to Naioth in Ramah: and the Spirit of God was upon him also, and he went on, and prophesied, until he came to Naioth in Ramah. 24 And he stripped off his clothes also, and prophesied before Samuel in like manner, and lay down naked all that day and all that night. Three times Saul sent messengers to take David, and each time the Spirit of God came upon the messengers and they prophesied instead of taking David. This happened even when Saul, himself, went to Ramah. And David was able to flee.
At another time, God sent the prophet Gad to instruct David to not stay in the hold, but to go to Judah. David went to Judah as instructed ...
1 Samuel 22:5 And the prophet Gad said unto David, Abide not in the hold; depart, and get thee into the land of Judah. Then David departed, and came into the forest of Hareth.
In another example, when David and his men were at Keilah, Saul thought he could take David there. But when David heard that Saul planned to come to Keilah, David inquired of God and was told that Saul would come for him and that the men of Keilah would deliver David into Saul's hand. Being given this information, David and his men were able to escape from Keilah before Saul came ...
1 Samuel 23:7 And it was told Saul that David was come to Keilah. And Saul said, God hath delivered him into mine hand; for he is shut in, by entering into a town that hath gates and bars. 8 And Saul called all the people together to war, to go down to Keilah, to besiege David and his men. 9 And David knew that Saul secretly practised mischief against him; and he said to Abiathar the priest, Bring hither the ephod. 10 Then said David, O Lord God of Israel, thy servant hath certainly heard that Saul seeketh to come to Keilah, to destroy the city for my sake. 11 Will the men of Keilah deliver me up into his hand? will Saul come down, as thy servant hath heard? O Lord God of Israel, I beseech thee, tell thy servant. And the Lord said, He will come down. 12 Then said David, Will the men of Keilah deliver me and my men into the hand of Saul? At yet another time, Saul and his men were on one side of a mountain while David and his men on the other side. Saul and his men were surrounding David and his men to take them when a messenger came to Saul telling him that the Philistines had invaded. Saul left searching for David, for a time, returning to fight against the Philistines ...
1 Samuel 23:25 Saul also and his men went to seek him. And they told David: wherefore he came down into a rock, and abode in the wilderness of Maon. And when Saul heard that, he pursued after David in the wilderness of Maon. 26 And Saul went on this side of the mountain, and David and his men on that side of the mountain: and David made haste to get away for fear of Saul; for Saul and his men compassed David and his men round about to take them. 27 But there came a messenger unto Saul, saying, Haste thee, and come; for the Philistines have invaded the land. 28 Wherefore Saul returned from pursuing after David, and went against the Philistines: therefore they called that place Selahammahlekoth.
God chose to deliver David in various ways, but each way of deliverance worked. And even though Saul searched for David every day, God kept David safe ...

At yet another time, Saul and his men were on one side of a mountain while David and his men on the other side. Saul and his men were surrounding David and his men to take them when a messenger came to Saul telling him that the Philistines had invaded. Saul left searching for David, for a time, returning to fight against the Philistines ...
1 Samuel 23:25 Saul also and his men went to seek him. And they told David: wherefore he came down into a rock, and abode in the wilderness of Maon. And when Saul heard that, he pursued after David in the wilderness of Maon. 26 And Saul went on this side of the mountain, and David and his men on that side of the mountain: and David made haste to get away for fear of Saul; for Saul and his men compassed David and his men round about to take them. 27 But there came a messenger unto Saul, saying, Haste thee, and come; for the Philistines have invaded the land. 28 Wherefore Saul returned from pursuing after David, and went against the Philistines: therefore they called that place Selahammahlekoth.
God chose to deliver David in various ways, but each way of deliverance worked. And even though Saul searched for David every day, God kept David safe ...

And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. 19And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. 20And they straightway left their nets, and followed him. 21And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them. 22And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.
In these remarkable examples we see immediate obedience to the Word of God.
Peter and Andrew just walked away from their nets ... leaving all behind to follow the call of God.
James and John obeyed the call immediately and they left the ship and their faith and followed the call of God.
Ex. 30:3 ... Thou shalt have no other gods before ME.
Nothing and no one is before God. Everything is set aside to answer the call when God speaks.

But we do not want to be too anxious to go to a cross ... Jesus prayed 3 times about the cross set before HIM.
Be sure you are hearing from God ... and also you need to know the way to do the call once you are sure the call is from God.

In about a week they returned to Dallas. They said they couldn't speak the language there and couldn't do anything. I suspect they got all excited thinking God had selected them for a "great work" and they did not test the spirit to see if it really was God giving them these ideas. Church people are often very anxious to do things for God. But is it God speaking? That must be established first.
We pray asking for confirmation. We can also try that spirit when the ideas are brought to our mind. I Jn. 4 ...

Having saved the people of Keilah from the Philistines, it might seem reasonable to assume that David and his men would be safe at Keilah, that the inhabitants of Keilah would try to keep them safe from Saul.
But David turned to God and inquired about the matter ... whether Saul was planning to go to Keilah as David had heard, and whether the men of Keilah would turn David over to Saul if he came ....

But God knows all things.
We are so fortunate as the New Testament church that we can turn to God directly in prayer, making our concerns and requests known to Him. And we can safely trust in what we hear from God about the matter, and take action based on that. Unlike what we may hear from other people or reason with our minds, what God tells us by the Holy Spirit will not fail.
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. 7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.

Psalm 119:162 ... Scripture: Shared by body of Christ
Psalm 119:162 ... I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.

Nothing is like the Word of God. The gates of hell cannot stand against the Word revealed to us by God. (Mt. 16) The word of God by the Holy Spirit is our comforter, eternal truth. Because of the Word of God, we live in peace and security on this present earth while people of this world strive for things of this world and stumble about in darkness always afraid. Because of the Word of God we are exalted above this present world and the things and people of this present world.
Nothing equals the Word of God.
The Word of God given us by HIS Spirit never fails.

Gaining all kingdoms of the world

Mt. 4 ... Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 9And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
In 1980, God gave me three words as I slept in the night: "Hartford, Seattle, KWJS" ... KWJS was a radio station. Withing a week I was broadcasting on radio on KWJS.
Shortly after that, my pastor at the time (Robert Tilton) told me that I needed to go to Michael Ellison Advertising Agency to let them help me set up radio stations around the USA and to work with me in staging meetings for the radio audience. Bob was represented by Ellison as were several "big time" ministers. He said, "They can help you a lot."
Ellison agreed to represent me and sent an agent to Dallas to meet with me.
One of the first things the agent "requested" (actually commanded) was for me to put the following on envelopes: "Send me your prayer requests."
I told him I didn't want to do that. He seemed shocked. I told him I don't want people turning to me for prayer. They should pray. They are to go directly to God through Jesus Christ, not though me.
As we tried to work together there were several other "requests" (commands) they made which I could not do. Within about 4 months, I received a phone call from my agent telling me they had decided to let several of their clients "go" and unfortunately I was one they were releasing.
I was devastated. I was in the "big time" ministry when I was with Ellison and now I was cast aside.
But God showed me I had not failed but passed a test. For God showed me things to do in ministry and things not to do. Ellison showed me to do opposite to those things. Ellison could promote me in ministry world. But I chose God and what HE said over Ellison.
To "worship" means "obey".
Mt. 16 ... Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 25For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. 26For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? 27For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
When something conflicts with the word of God but offers great reward on this earth, wisdom is to choose to go in way of God and to give up reward. And you must not deny the word God gives you even if that word causes you to suffer loss. God will repay you.
Fornication, adultery, greed, are all temptations fitting this.
Gal. 6 ... Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
If the offer made to you conflicts with that which God has told you or that which you see in the scriptures, and you go along with the offer and reject the word of God you put yourself in great danger and may end up being turned over to a reprobate mind, a mind devoid of God's wisdom, a mind without common sense.

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Spiritual warfare

In the Bible, we have several sections of scripture showing us spiritual warfare.
Taking thoughts captive:
II Cor. 10 ... For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Thoughts come into our minds in various ways. The thought might come from the Spirit of God. The thought might come from a devil trying to lead us and even trying to imitate the Spirit of God.
We have to bring every thought into the obedience of Christ ... to obedience with the Word of God.
These thoughts must be examined.
One way to do this is through prayer, asking God to show the truth concerning that thought. Often when I do this I will be reminded of a scripture and by that I know if that thought is from God or from another spirit.

Put on the whole armor of God:
Eph. 6 ... When I was a new Christian, people kept telling me I needed to put on the whole armor of God. I would ask: How do I do that? The answer they frequently gave was to put on Jesus. But I didn't know how to put on Jesus and I didn't know what that meant.
One day, God explained to me how to put on the whole armor of God. You dress yourself in truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, the word of God and prayer. 7 parts of armor.
Each part is important.
Concerning dressing in peace ... if we are troubled about anything ... if we dread anything ... we have not settled the matter with God through prayer. If we are striving with anyone, we have to take this to God. God might eliminate it with a word or God might have us go to that person to settle the matter. I've had both happen in my life. But it is essential that we live in peace. This does not mean compromising the truth for if we did that we would not be living in truth. But God has a way to help us when we belong to HIM.
Try the spirits to see whether they are from God:
I Jn. 4 ... Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

In the Bible, we have several sections of scripture showing us spiritual warfare.
Taking thoughts captive:
II Cor. 10 ... For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Thoughts come into our minds in various ways. The thought might come from the Spirit of God. The thought might come from a devil trying to lead us and even trying to imitate the Spirit of God.
We have to bring every thought into the obedience of Christ ... to obedience with the Word of God.
These thoughts must be examined.
One way to do this is through prayer, asking God to show the truth concerning that thought. Often when I do this I will be reminded of a scripture and by that I know if that thought is from God or from another spirit.

Put on the whole armor of God:
Eph. 6 ... Though facing trouble, David helped those in his path

Reading in 1 Samuel about David fleeing from Saul who sought to kill him, it stood out to me that David cared for the welfare of others even as he was being pursued and his own life was in danger. As he was able, he helped those needing his help.
David saw to it that his parents were safe while he was being hunted by Saul, taking them to dwell with the king of Moab ...
1 Samuel 22:3 And David went thence to Mizpeh of Moab: and he said unto the king of Moab, Let my father and my mother, I pray thee, come forth, and be with you, till I know what God will do for me. 4 And he brought them before the king of Moab: and they dwelt with him all the while that David was in the hold.
Saul had Ahimelech the priest and all his father's house and the city of Nob destroyed because Doeg reported that Ahimelech had helped David. But one of Ahimelech's sons, Abiathar escaped and came to David. David told Abiathar to stay with him and he would be safeguarded ....
1 Samuel 22:20 And one of the sons of Ahimelech the son of Ahitub, named Abiathar, escaped, and fled after David. 21 And Abiathar shewed David that Saul had slain the Lord 's priests. 22 And David said unto Abiathar, I knew it that day, when Doeg the Edomite was there, that he would surely tell Saul: I have occasioned the death of all the persons of thy father's house. 23 Abide thou with me, fear not: for he that seeketh my life seeketh thy life: but with me thou shalt be in safeguard.
When David heard that the Philistines fought against Keilah, David didn't ignore their plight. He turned to God and asked if he should fight the Philistines, and was told to go save Keilah. When the men with David were afraid to go, David didn't let the matter drop. He again turned to God and was again told to go and that God would deliver the Philistines to him. So David and his men fought the Philistines and saved the inhabitants of Keilah ...
1 Samuel 23:1 Then they told David, saying, Behold, the Philistines fight against Keilah, and they rob the threshingfloors. 2 Therefore David enquired of the Lord, saying, Shall I go and smite these Philistines? And the Lord said unto David, Go, and smite the Philistines, and save Keilah. 3 And David's men said unto him, Behold, we be afraid here in Judah: how much more then if we come to Keilah against the armies of the Philistines? 4 Then David enquired of the Lord yet again. And the Lord answered him and said, Arise, go down to Keilah; for I will deliver the Philistines into thine hand. 5 So David and his men went to Keilah, and fought with the Philistines, and brought away their cattle, and smote them with a great slaughter. 1 Samuel 25:15 But the men were very good unto us, and we were not hurt, neither missed we any thing, as long as we were conversant with them, when we were in the fields: 16 They were a wall unto us both by night and day, all the while we were with them keeping the sheep.
Each of us face various problems, some larger and more serious than others. It can be helpful to consider that David cared about the welfare of others as well as his own. As he was able and led by God, he helped those who came across his path. Dealing well with others in the sight of God even in the midst of trouble.
