The purchased possession of Jesus

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Eph. 1 ... In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: 12That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.  13In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

We who belong of God and believe in HIM are the "purchased possession" of Jesus.

Jesus purchased us.  Jesus submitted to the will of God concerning us.  No man took the life of Jesus but Jesus laid down his life by obedience to the will of God.  Jesus suffered on the cross to buy us.  Jesus paid for us with his own blood.  Jesus purchased us.  We are HIS possession.

This is what Peter explained in I Peter 1 ... Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;  14As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: 15But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; 16Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. 17And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: 18Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation (vain manner of life) received by tradition from your fathers; 19But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 20Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, 21Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God. 22Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: 23Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

Eph. 1 ...We have been sealed by the Holy Spirit "until the redemption of the purchased possession"

When we have the spirit of Christ living in us we know we belong to HIM.  When we obey HIM we know we love God.  Just as Jesus obeyed the Father and showed HIS love by obedience, we obey HIM, doing HIS will as we live in this earth, not serving ourselves or our flesh, for we have been purchased by HIM and we now belong to HIM and we serve and obey HIM.

Thus we "deny ourselves" ... we deny our own flesh, our life on this earth, in order to serve HIM.  We refuse to fulfill the works of our flesh ...

Gal. 5 ... Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.  17For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. 18But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. 19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

24And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.  25If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Now we who believe are dead with Christ.  Our flesh has been "cut away", circumcised with the circumcision that is without hands.  We have been raised from the dead works of man and now our life is hid in HIM.

Therefore we no longer serve the flesh as we once did.  We are now servants of God, belonging to Jesus.  We deny our life, our rights, on this present earth for we "recon" ourselves dead to the flesh and alive to God, hid in Christ as HIS purchased possession.

We are not seeking to fulfill ourselves on this present earth.  Our life is in Christ and when HE returns we will also appear with HIM for our life is now in Him.

Col. 3 ... If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.  3For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
5Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: 6For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: 7In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
8But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. 9Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; 10And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: 11Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
12Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; 13Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.  14And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. 15And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
