Vain manner of life received by tradition

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

There are many vain (futile/senseless) things that go on in life and especially at the Christmas season.  Traditions are passed down from one generation to another and have a type of bondage to the flesh which is not of God.

Peter said ... And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: 18Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 20Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, 21Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God. I Peter 1

Peter speaks of "vain conversation" ... vain manner of life ... received by tradition from your fathers.

But we belong to Jesus now.  We have been freed from traditions of men.

Be careful.  Think of what you are about to do.  There are many futile things being done right now.  Just know you do not have to participate in these traditions.  And you should not participate if you feel they are questionable.

Turn to God.
